Lucky Seven Page 30

“We do, but I have missed you, lots.” She was already sliding down his lap, onto the floor beneath his desk where she made quick work of undoing his trousers. “This would be better with a solid desk, but I will make do.”

Once she had fully released him from the confines of his clothing, she wasted no time in greedily consuming him and somehow felt rewarded when she glanced up to find Jim’s head thrown back, clearly appreciative of her efforts. He gasped loudly as she became relentless in her need for him to climax at her hands and mouth as he always was for her to when their positions were reversed. Suddenly, she felt the burn in her scalp as she felt her hair being pulled tightly as though he was attempting to climb inside her. The feel of him flexing in her mouth and the trembling of his thighs coincided with him gripping her hair and scalp even tighter, telling her how close he was, encouraging her to pick up speed again.

“Fuck, Tasha, you need to stop, I—Oh God,” he groaned as she employed the use of her hand with her mouth until Jim was unable to hold back any longer, leaving her to swallow long and hard as he stilled.

Releasing him she looked up, smiling with a sense of pride at her achievement.

“You really are very greedy.” He was already on his feet, pulling her to stand before him. “I am indebted to you now and I don’t like to be left owing, so I think I should return the favour.”

“Very honourable,” she replied with a nervous nibble of her lip, the anticipation making her clench every muscle in her body.

  “Take your panties off, baby.”

She lifted her dress until it gathered around her waist then pushed her underwear down and left them to sit on the floor. With a push up, she sat back on his desk and flinched at the coldness of the glass top against her skin. “It’s cold.” She giggled briefly until she saw he was kneeling down, making it quite clear what he intended to do.

“Honey, I can guarantee you will not be cold for long. In fact, the sight of your ass through my desk is seriously fucking hot.” He seemed to study her through the glass. “Now, lie back.” He was already pulling her forward so she was perfectly positioned for him to devour her, first with his lips and then his glorious tongue. She thought again that he really was an absolute genius. Her thoughts scattered at the sensation of two fingers sliding inside her, making her cry out incoherently.

“Ssh. You sure as hell don’t feel cold to me.” He blew across her delicate folds, the gentle breeze of his breath heightening her awareness and arousal as he circled her clitoris with his fingers, then his tongue.

She gulped so hard at the intensity of the sensations she almost choked. Tasha propped herself up slightly, arching her back off the desk to look down and watch him. She couldn’t believe just how erotic she found her current position; watching what he was doing to her and feeling the results of his actions, or was she feeling them in anticipation of what he was about to do.

  “James.” She moaned loudly.

He looked up at her with a half-smile as he found her eyes focused on him, on them joined. “What are you doing?”

  “Watching,” she groaned.

He grinned at her salaciously and returned his attention to pleasuring her, first with a stroke of his tongue along her whole length before honing in on her clit that he flicked, licked and circled. He repeated the movements, pausing to dip into her leaking core. Allowing his tongue to spread her arousal, Jim continued to excite Tasha further until she felt the familiar burning sensation building, causing her to moan and when she could hold back no more she wrapped her legs around his head and pulled him close as she fell apart.

Once calm, he pulled her legs from around him and drew her off the desk to settle in his lap and the floor where he buried his face in her hair.

“You really need to think about birth control, Tasha. I would really love to fuck you right here on my office floor.” He groaned as her eyes lit up, flickering with renewed desire. “But I don’t bring rubbers to work.”

She stretched up, a grin spread across her face at the second she pulled her bag down and opened it to reveal two condoms. Immediately, with no words uttered she ripped one of them open and began to put it over him.

“You really are perfect, honey.” Before the final word was out he had pinned her beneath him on the floor and made her whimper as he buried himself in her still swollen and sensitive folds.

They’d been lying on the floor together for a while when Jim broke the silence. “We should go and have lunch and then we are going shopping.”

“We could just go home, to bed.”

“We have already agreed this. We are going shopping for appropriate clothes. Then we will go home to bed.” He stood, pulling her up with him. “There is a bathroom over there if you want to use it.” He pointed to the door on the far side of the office.

“I think I should probably make some attempt to look as though I haven’t just been laid on your office floor.” Her grin as she glanced up at him seemed to suggest she might not want to disguise the evidence entirely

“I like your just laid look,” he replied, bending down to pass her the discarded pants off the floor.

With a small flush to her cheeks she accepted them and headed to the bathroom where she washed and redressed. She was just running her fingers through her hair when Jim appeared behind her, putting his chin on her shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her waist, cradling her.

“Just like it never happened.” he whispered, his grip on her tightening.

“Hardly,” she laughed. “I think I still look like I have just been well and truly shagged.”

“Shagged?” he asked with a smirk, “how very British.”

  “Yes, like me.”

“Let me take you to lunch before I have to shag you again in the bathroom and on the conference table and anywhere else I can think of.”

As they walked hand in hand along the street, Jim found himself thinking about his life once Tasha returned home and he really didn’t like the scenarios he imagined. He didn’t want her to go anywhere without him and the idea of her being so far away scared him and frustrated him at the same time. What if she needed him? What if, no, what would happen when he needed her?

“Do you really have to go home tomorrow?” The words almost fell from his lips with no warning whatsoever.

She nodded, sadly. “But I will see you in London soon and then I will come back out. Amanda has said if I email her any new dates, she will put them on our schedule. I have never shared a schedule before.” As she took in the sad expression on Jim’s face Tasha tried to lighten the mood with a tiny smile and an arch of her brow. “I’m even leaving clothes and shoes at your house. That’s a big commitment for a girl.”

He offered her a glimmer of a smile in return before his sad expression and demeanour returned. “It won’t be the same.”

“I know,” she agreed as they came to a standstill and faced each other before Tasha dropped her forehead to rest against Jim’s chest.

“Do you like Amanda, now you’ve met her?” He changed the topic from her leaving because as things stood no amount of sadness or talking about it was going to change things.

“She seems nice, but I don’t know if I like or dislike her, but I don’t feel so threatened by her now.”

“Nobody is a threat to you, honey. I love you like I have never loved anyone before.” He reached down to tilt her head until she was looking up at him. She could see the sincerity in his eyes as she heard the total belief in what he was saying leaving her a little overwhelmed.

“That’s just the hot sex talking.” Tasha laughed and hoped to ease the tension with a joke.

  They began to walk again.

“It’s part of it, but I have no interest in anyone else. I don’t make a habit of having sex in my office or on my desk. It kind of compromises my rule about keeping business and pleasure separate.”

“I really hope you mean that, about having no interest in anyone else. This is a big thing for me, the amount of
trust I’ve put in you. Trust not to hurt me, Jim. I have shared more about my past with you than anybody else which also means I have left myself open to more hurt from you than anyone else,” she said honestly, all hopes for escaping the intensity of his earlier words gone in that second.

He immediately stopped walking and pulled her to him, cupped her face and gazed deeply into her eyes. “Tasha, I promise I would never knowingly hurt you. I love how you’ve opened up to me and I know how important it is to repay your trust with my love and fidelity.”

“Thank you,” she whispered, unsure if she was going to cry, but not wanting to.

She was relieved when Jim recognised her concern and intervened with a little mood lightening of his own. “Now, what other colours does your sexy bikini come in?”

“Let’s find out,” she replied, already leading him towards the shop.

  Chapter 24

Tasha was sitting on top of her case and trying to zip it up when Jim appeared from the bathroom. “Problem?”

“Too many clothes in too small a case. I may have to leave some dirty washing here too,” she laughed.

“So long as it’s your underwear it’s fine,” he grinned.

“You, Mr Maybury are a pervert.”

  “And you love it.”

“Yes. I do and I am not ashamed to say it.” She opened her case for the umpteenth time and tried to reorganise it.

“Let me,” he offered as he squashed everything down and appeared to fasten the case with ease.

“Thank you.” Tasha offered him a small smile and as much as she wanted to savour every second with him she also wanted to get away before she changed her mind.

“Let me take you to the airport?”

“Jim, I don’t do big goodbyes,” she explained for what seemed to be the hundredth time.

“Please, let me drive you?” He gently stroked her cheek.

  “Jim...I...”

“Please, I want to.” He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her against him.

  “But...”

“Please, baby,” he whispered against her ear as kissed her neck.

  “Jim...”

“Oh honey, say yes,” he pleaded as his free hand twirled her hair while his mouth found hers, welcoming him in.

“Yes,” she gasped in his mouth.

“Good. I like that you come around to things my way,” he said, leaving her breathless as he went to dress.

She was downstairs in the kitchen with Sandra when Jim appeared dressed in deck shoes, black trousers and a white linen shirt.

  “Nice shirt.”

“Yes, a recent gift.” He grinned.

“It’s very nice.” She grinned back.

“Very expensive,” he replied. “In more ways than one,” he added as he brushed against her and rubbed her behind gently causing her to flush.

She laughed, recalling the sting in it when he’d been annoyed that she’d paid for it and not charged it to him. The night in his office. She could feel everything tensing inside and wondered whether there was time for one last private moment. Although, they had already had about a dozen last moments since six o’clock that morning.

“We should go if you don’t want to miss your flight, Tasha.”

She turned to find Sandra preparing to hug her.

“Have a good trip and we’ll see you soon.”

Tasha felt strangely emotional to be leaving. Not just Jim, but the other people here and the house itself, the safety if it and knew it would take just one word and she’d be staying, but she couldn’t allow herself to do that. She had to go home and make things right for Dan and Pippa.

“You’re very quiet, baby,” said Jim as they approached the airport.

“I’m a bit tired, no more,” she lied.

“You were the one who said you didn’t need to sleep last night.” He squeezed her knee with a concerned smile in her direction.

“So I did.” The smile she returned was just slightly too forced to be genuine.

“You don’t have to go—” he started.

Tasha quickly cut him off. She couldn’t and wouldn’t do this to herself. “Yes, I do, but it doesn’t mean I want to or that I won’t miss you.”

Tasha looked startled as the car slowed, quickly realising Jim was parking the car in departures.

“Shall I come in with you?” He was already preparing to leave the car.

“No. That would be a public scene.” She felt relieved when he didn’t open his door to get out.

“Then we should say goodbye here.”

Stretching over, Tasha placed a gentle kiss on his lips but rather than deepen or extend it Jim simply laced a hand through her hair, holding her against his lips for a few extra seconds.

“Let me know when you land and I will call you later, okay?”

She nodded and climbed out of the car followed by Jim who handed her the case she’d struggled to fasten. He watched her head towards the departure lounge until she disappeared from sight and sighed heavily as he considered just a week before he hadn’t even met her, and now he was completely hooked.

Tasha had looked back just once and after seeing him looking at her she knew she couldn’t look back again or she’d cry. She had fallen head over heels for Mr Crazy Control Freak and wasn’t sure how she would get through the next few weeks without him. She wondered if there was a flight to Vegas today instead. Pushing that crazy thought from her mind she approached the check-in desk and handed over the printed ticket from Jim’s computer.

“Thank you, Miss Winters,” said the tall willowy blonde with a perfect smile behind the desk.

“Oh, let me just upgrade you.” She tapped on the keyboard for a few seconds while Tasha began to protest.

“No, no upgrade. I’ve booked economy.”

“You’ve been upgraded Miss Winters to first class, it’s on the screen, all paid for and arranged.”

Of course it was; Jim had given in far too easily at her insistence on flying economy. Her bag disappeared and she was directed to the first class departure lounge where she wandered around the outlets and bars as she took her phone out and text him.

She laughed at his ignorance of the situation.

Tasha laughed loudly at his innocent question when they both knew exactly how and why she was in first class travel.

His words were fun and light-hearted, yet totally accurate because even when she said no to Jim it usually and very quickly became a yes.

Why had she said that? The one thing likely to piss him off more than anything was the thought of her with someone else full stop, but Howser was guaranteed to send him into the stratosphere of annoyance.

t night and it may be grateful for first class upgrade. I already miss your touch. Tx>

The boarding call for her flight was announced so as she made her way to the desk she quickly replied.

She boarded and took her seat and felt slightly relieved to be dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and that the seat next to her was empty. It was a shame she couldn’t text Jim, but after take-off she settled down and quickly fell into a sound sleep. When she woke up, she realised they were only about an hour from London. She obviously needed the sleep she’d been missing over the last week.

As soon as she got through customs she jumped into the back of a cab and wondered briefly what awaited her when she arrived home. Partly as a distraction she text Jim.
