Rising Moon: The Awakened Trilogy #2 Page 24

by Amanda Carol

I used to be friends with Persephone; she likes to gossip and she told me a story about a woman who fell in love with Hades, and he was in love with her too. All of that brings us to this very moment.

  Thump.

  Thump.

  Thump.

Her heart rate is weak, but she will live. I stand, wiping her blood from my lips, and kick her leg.

“Get up, Debora. It’s time you and I had a little chat with your twins.”

January 2020; The Gift; An Awakened Novella.

Spring 2020, The third and final installment in The Awakened Trilogy

First and foremost, I would like to thank you, the reader, for continuing on with Hunter and Aria’s story. I’m sorry I made you wait so long for sexy times and also, who the traitor is. But I hope that by giving you sexy times and the answer to who the traitor was, you’ll stick around to find out just exactly what Isabella is up too. This book put me through the ringer emotionally. It’s hard killing off such beloved characters. Ronan is the exception to that. I got a sick satisfaction out of giving the twins the opportunity to get their revenge.

Stefanie: I adore you. And I want to thank you for letting your characters be friends with mine. You and I think so much alike it’s scary, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. You read the extremely rough edit of Rising Moon and saw it through until the polished end. You laughed, you cried, I collected your tears…anyway. Thank you for all your advice, your support, and everything in between. I can’t wait until Book three where we can bring Zach, Haylee, Dani and Kyler to the Compound. That should be fun!

BJ and Claudia: I just want to say that you both crack me up. I’m lucky to have friends like you. One to catch the spelling mistakes and one to say, “make it hurt.” Your support and love means a lot to me. More than you’ll ever know. You both push me to be a better writer. You ask the tough questions and eat hot wings to help spice up those sexy times. Thank you.

Carmen: My lovely editor. You took Rising Moon and ripped it to shreds. Kidding! You challenged me and guided me on what it is that, as a reader, I should have extended on. And boy did I deliver on that second round. Thank you for taking time to really care about not only my characters and story, but my voice as well. For you to suggest something that not only sounds like something a character would say, you still stay true to my voice, and that makes a fantastic editor.

Nichole and Katey: You guys are going to be in for a real treat when you read yourselves in a story. Nichole, Hunter is yours. Katey, Bennett is yours. Consider this the OFFICIAL statement. But really, thank you for being such supportive human beings.

Chaddettes: You ladies are amazing. An awesome group of writers and readers. You offer encouragement when one is feeling down and you cheer us on for all the achievements. Spread all across the world with different time zones, there’s always someone up to lend a listening ear or just to talk about all the hot men. You ladies rock, and you found a forever friend in me.

To my Family: You guys are my guiding light. You understand that this is my dream, and your allowing me to follow it and make it come true. I’m not biased or anything, but I have the best Mom in the world. You got me a brand-new laptop when I told you that my old one kept crashing. I’m so in love with it. To the rest of you; I love you.

Lenka Ashani Siberova: You are simply amazing. You brought my Hunter to life and created my vision flawlessly. I’m so glad we work well together, and I’m super excited to work on Declan and Ciera’s novella and Book Three with you!

Angel Nyx: Woman, you have those hawk eyes that catch everything! Thank you for being a part of making my baby shine!

Clara Stone: You are an angel. Did I ever tell you that? I’m so happy with the way the Awakened turned out and Rising Moon. Thank you for being so kind and generous. You have a client for life.

Last but certainly not least; Between the Covers; Amanda’s Book Club: What would I do without my group? You guys make me laugh, and cry tears of laughter. Thank you for making me smile every single day and for being the reason why I keep pursuing my dream. Thank you for all the love and support you give me. It truly means the world to me.
