“How’re my two favorite humans doing?” he asks, giving me a lingering kiss and planting a soft peck on Josh’s forehead. He opens his eyes at the sound of his dad’s voice.
“I couldn’t be happier, honey,” I tell him. “I was just thinking about how lucky I am to have you and Josh in my life, not to mention your parents. I never want to lose that.”
“Likewise,” he replies, “the last year and a half have been the best couple of months I’ve had in my life, all because I met you.”
“When do you think our little man might be off to sleep? I need to spend some time with his mommy too,” he says, massaging my available breast.
“Soon, honey, soon,” I say with a contented smile…
