Mail-Order Brides For Christmas Page 14

by Frankie Love

Nate pounds his cock into me, as deep as it will go. It’s hard enough to make my back arch as he slams into my g-spot. The pressure begins to build, just like it did when he made me orgasm with his tongue. This one feels like it’s going to be more powerful than that. I give in and let the pleasure surge through my veins.

“You feel so good.” I dig my nails into his back. “Harder. Don’t hold back. I want to come with you.”

“I want to enjoy it. Enjoy you. As long as I can.” He practically growls his response with ragged breaths.

“You can have me as many times as you want me.” I purr in his ear. “I’m yours. Tonight. Forever…”

That is enough to bring the fury to the surface. Nate slams into me even harder than before. I feel his cock throbbing and pulsating against my g-spot. I watch the fire in his eyes as it builds into an inferno. We don’t have to say the words. We’re about to come. His thrusts become erratic, and I walk the tightrope of bliss through several of them before the orgasm takes over. My pussy spasms on his length, and he erupts inside me. The thrusts continue as I peak, and I orgasm again.

“Oh my god!” My entire body jerks, and I nearly choke on my own words before they come out.

Nate doesn’t stop. The peak feels like it’s going to last for an eternity as the two orgasms merge into a singular one that nearly destroys me with euphoria. He finally slows down once the peak begins to wane, bringing me back to reality with a few gentle ones before they stop. My head is spinning. My body has given all that it has. Nate has done the same. He shifts and collapses against the mattress, pulling me into his arms in the process.

Neither of us say anything. I’m not sure we could verbalize how incredible it was. I can barely put my thoughts together, but I know we just experienced something magical. It’s the beginning of our life together, the consummation of our intentions even though we haven’t made it to the altar yet.

We lay there for almost an hour before Nate finally shifts and turns to face me on the bed. “Are you ready to go to sleep?”

“I’m exhausted, but I have to admit, I’m a little wired right now.” I lean my head against him.

  “Me too.” He sighs.

Nate and I talk for several hours before our desires begin to flourish again. We aren’t going to sleep. Not yet at least. Our bodies may be worn out, but they still demand more. It’s as much mental as it is physical.

Being with him is so exhilarating.

  Chapter Eleven

  Nate

I normally wake up pretty early, but after staying up most of the night with Catriona, it’s almost ten before my eyes finally open. I’m instantly hit with a wave of emotions. Did it really happen? Was it just a dream? I have to turn over and make sure she’s still in the bed beside me just to make sure that my brain hasn’t played a terrible trick on me. It didn’t. She looks like an angel with the morning sun creating a halo around her head.

My angel. I’m never going to let her go. I may have been opposed to the idea of a mail-order bride when it was originally pitched to me, but this is no longer about saving Snow Valley. This is the woman I want to spend my life with. I want to experience all of our firsts, even our first fight, because it’s inevitable. Life is a journey, and she is going to be beside me for the rest of mine. There’s no doubt in my mind. This was meant to be. I don’t even feel drawn to my vices when I’m with her. It’s like they aren’t important anymore because what I have beside me is so much better.

I leave her sleeping and go to the kitchen to make breakfast. I get everything prepared, including coffee, before I finally hear her stir. She walks into the kitchen wearing one of my t-shirts, and it’s everything I can do not to drag her right back to the bedroom.

“Good morning, beautiful.” I grab a cup. “Want some coffee?”

“Absolutely.” She smiles and sits down at the table.

That smile. It’s never going to stop slaying me. I nearly get lost in a trance before I finally break free and pour her coffee. She likes milk in her coffee, which is good, because I don’t have anything else other than some cream that I haven’t checked the expiration date on in a while. I make us each a plate and sit down after the coffee is served.

“It’s been a while since I’ve had time for breakfast.” Catriona reaches for her fork.

“You’re going to need plenty of energy today.” I nod. “There is a lot to see in Snow Valley.”

“Is that the only thing I’m going to need energy for?” She looks down, and I see her lips spread into a devious grin.

“You keep talking like that and we might not see anything in Snow Valley today.” I laugh under my breath.

“Hmm.” She smirks, and her eyebrows shoot up. “Maybe I just want to stay nice and warm today. It’s cold out there.”

“It’ll be worth it.” I reach over and squeeze her hand. “I promise.”

We continue talking through breakfast, and then we head to get ready for our trip out. We don’t get far before we end up sharing a shower and giving in to our desires. The same thing happens again when we make it to the bedroom. It’s almost three o’clock in the afternoon before we finally get dressed. Normally, I’m a stickler for keeping a tight schedule, but I don’t mind the delays at all. We leave the house hand-in-hand, which feels as perfect as everything else we’ve shared up to this point.

“What do we get to see first?” Catriona looks up at me after I open the door and get her situated in the passenger side of my truck.

“I think we should head downtown first.” I nod. “We need to get you a winter coat that can survive a Snow Valley winter.”

“There goes my plan to keep you in bed until Spring.” She laughs.

“We have to take a break for our wedding, you know.” I push the door closed and chuckle as I walk to my side of the truck.

We make a few more jokes on the way to town, and I get to introduce Catriona to a couple of people I know that are shopping at the same store as us. It doesn’t take long to find a coat in her size, and then we are off to see some of the other sights in Snow Valley.

“You weren’t kidding. You really do have ice skating here.” She stares as we pass a few people who are making circles on one of the ponds that has iced over.

“Ever tried it?” I glance over at her.

“No, I barely kept myself up on a pair of regular skates. I think I’d bust my ass if I tried that.” She shakes her head.

“That’s half the fun!” I give her a gentle nudge.

“I’m sure you’d enjoy that.” She gives me a side-eyed glare.

“No, I’ll never laugh at you. Only with you.” I reach over and squeeze her hand.

We continue the grand tour of Snow Valley, and it isn’t long before breakfast has worn off. No surprise considering that we got a late start and skipped lunch. I suggest stopping at my brother’s tavern, and she agrees. Unfortunately, he isn’t working, so I don’t get a chance to introduce her to my family, but she gets to meet the people who work for him. We have a couple of beers and some greasy food, which pairs nicely together.

“One more place I want to show you before we head home.” I open the door for Catriona as we leave the tavern.

  “Okay.” She nods.

Our destination isn’t far. It doesn’t take long to get anywhere in Snow Valley. We hold hands the entire way until I finally pull the truck into the parking lot.

“This is where you work? Well, you own it, right?” Catriona looks at the sign.

“It is.” I nod and put the truck in park. “I’d offer to give you a tour of the place, but if you’ve seen one mechanic’s shop, you’ve seen them all.”

“What made you decide to become a mechanic?” She looks over at me.

“I had to do something, or I was going to end up in prison. My life had no direction, but I was always good with my hands…” I wink at her.

“I can attest to that.” She grins.

“My dad helped me get this place because the owner
was retiring, and then I had more to do than time to do it.” I nod and sigh.

We talk for a few more minutes before it’s time to head back to the house. Catriona reaches over and starts to tease me as we get closer, and I can already tell we’re going straight to the bedroom as soon as we get through the door.

It’s been an amazing day, even if it’s been a cold one in Snow Valley, but we won’t have any trouble getting warm tonight.

  Chapter Twelve

  Catriona

My night with Nate is just as incredible as the first one we shared. I wake up to breakfast and another day of seeing the sights in Snow Valley. For a small town, they do have a lot of interesting attractions, and I can see why Nate’s family wants to save it. It doesn’t need to be turned into a tourist trap. It’s perfect just the way it is. Nice, quaint, and the most comfortable place I’ve ever been.

Every minute with Nate feels like my own little slice of heaven. It’s almost like we’re on one continuous date that never ends. Maybe this is how it is supposed to be when you’re in a relationship. This doesn’t feel complicated or confusing. There are no mixed signals. I know it won’t always be like that, but if we can always find our way back to what we have right now, I will never regret my decision to come to Snow Valley as his mail-order bride.

After our third night together, I wake up before Nate. It’s still early. I decided to change things up and make breakfast for him. I may not be the best cook in the world, but I can make eggs, bacon, and toast.

I make my way to the kitchen, start the pot of coffee, and by the time I get the eggs cracked, I hear him stirring.

“I was trying to surprise you.” I lean out the door of the kitchen as soon as he walks out of the bedroom.

“I am.” He walks into the kitchen and sits down at the table. “You made it out of bed before ten in the morning.”

“Shush, you.” I narrow my eyes. “You’re the one who keeps me up all night.”

“Guilty as charged.” He shrugs and reaches for his coffee as soon as I put it down in front of him. “By the way, I have to run out a little later today.”

“Awesome, where are we going? More stuff to see in Snow Valley?” I take a sip of my coffee.

“I actually have to make this trip on my own.” He shrugs. “It’s a surprise.”

“Hmm.” I narrow my eyes in the most suspicious stare I can muster.

“It’s no big deal; I promise.” He laughs.

I trust Nate, but I was looking forward to spending another day with him. I realize it isn’t going to be possible forever. He took time off work because he knew I was coming, but eventually, life will return to whatever our new version of normal is.

Nate and I spend the morning together and then he leaves me with a kiss and a promise that I’m going to get a whole lot more than that when he gets home. The man knows how to make an exit, that’s for damn sure. I spend my time alone looking at his photos, organizing a few things that have been in disarray since I arrived, and cleaning up a little bit.

I know I’m going to have to get a job once I get settled in Snow Valley. I used to believe the life of luxury was my destiny, but after my family lost everything, I realized that I didn’t want to be completely dependent on anyone else again. That includes Nate, no matter how fast I’m falling head over heels for him. I’ll always need to be able to stand on my own two feet.

I hear Nate’s truck outside after he’s been gone for several hours, and I have to control myself because I want to run straight into his arms.

“Miss me?” He opens the door and walks inside.

  “A little…” I smile. “I found a way to entertain myself.”

“Um, yes you did.” He looks around at everything I’ve organized and cleaned up since he’s been gone. “You really didn’t have to do that.”

“If this is going to be my home, I want to help.” I nod.

“Then I think it’s time we made that official, wouldn’t you say?” He walks closer to me.

“What do you mean?” I give him a blank stare.

“This…” Nate drops down on one knee, and before I realize what is happening, he has a ring box in his hand.

“Oh my god!” My hands go to my mouth in shock.

“I know you came to Snow Valley to be my bride, but I wouldn’t feel right about standing at the altar with you unless we were properly engaged.” He opens the ring box. “Will you marry me?”

“Yes!” I nearly jump off the couch and literally pounce on him with a hug. Thankfully, he catches me.

The ring is beautiful. It fits me perfectly. I can barely look away from it because of how it sparkles. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I came to Snow Valley, but it was the best decision I ever made. I’m going to be Nate’s wife. Whatever trajectory my life would have taken doesn’t matter now. I want him by my side for the rest of it.

“You promised me more than a kiss when you got home.” I look at the ring. “Was this what you meant?”

“Part of it…” He smiles, and his hands begin to move to the front of my jeans. “But not all.”

“Good, because I did make the bed while you were gone.” I lean against his ear. “I was kind of hoping we could mess it up.”

“You’re damn right we will.” He unsnaps my jeans and lifts me up as he stands.

Nate is a fighter. He’s rough around the edges. He probably has a few skeletons in his closet I don’t want to know about. None of that matters. I know he’ll fight for what we have, and the rest of our lives together will be perfect.

This is going to be the best Christmas of my life, and the first of many I spend in Snow Valley.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  Chapter One

  Jenna

After being on the road for a few months, there’s nothing I crave more than a home-cooked meal. There’s only so much McDonald’s and greasy diner food that a girl can stand. Give me something hearty and homemade, crafted with love, and served on a cute Corelle plate with a glass of ice-water. After so many weeks of being on the road with my band, that’s my definition of bliss.

Thankfully, my grandparents are always down to deliver.

“Jenna!” Grandma Carrie says as she opens the door. She pulls me insistently into a hug, and I melt into her familiar embrace. Grandma and Grandpa raised me from age four on, after my folks died in a car accident. I never feel more at home than when sweet Grandma Carrie has me wrapped in her arms.

“Hi, Grandma,” I laugh as we pull apart. She smiles at me, and then frowns, reaching forward to touch my shoulder-length hair.

“Another crazy color?” she sighs. “But Jenna, your blonde hair is so beautiful!”

I can’t help but grin. “It’s still mostly blonde,” I say, although my natural color has been lightened into a platinum sheen. “And don’t worry, the pink streak is just semi-permanent. It won’t last forever.”

“It’ll last until you dye it green or purple or blue,” Grandma sighs with a twinkle in her eye. “But you’ll always be my beautiful shining star, no matter what, sweetheart.”

“Aw, Grandma! You’re making me blush and I’m not even in the door yet!”

We share a laugh as she ushers me inside. Their suburban New Jersey home is small but quaint, and the quintessential elderly abode. The furniture, carpeting, and wallpaper are outdated but very comfortable. Grandma’s numerous knitted creations serve as decorations, as do Grandpa’s spoon collection and baseball knick-knacks. Still, the familiar sight makes my heart swell. It’s good to be in my c
hildhood home.

“Is our girl here?” Grandpa Peter emerges from the kitchen, wiping his hands on a dish towel. His beard is just as long and white as I remember, his belly straining against his belt. I’ve always believed that my grandparents looked like Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and the image only becomes more accurate the older they get.

“I’m here!” I smile and wave. He squeezes me tightly in a hug and kisses my cheek.

“Missed you, sweetheart,” he says. “How was touring?”

“Pretty great!” I say, smiling. “I’ll tell you more over dinner. Speaking of which, what are we having?”

We walk together to the kitchen, chatting and laughing. Grandma Carrie holds my hand and doesn’t seem intent on letting it go. She knows how important my band, Lolly Popz, is to me, and how important it is for us to go on the road to play our music for others. Still, whenever I’m back in town, she wants to keep me with her as much as possible. I know that she still misses my mom, and I look just like my mom--albeit with more dye in my hair, and a tendency to wear a lot of animal print.

Grandpa Peter, the cooking whiz of the family, stirs some spices into a pot of tomato sauce. It turns out we’re having some of his famous spaghetti and meatballs, along with a big green salad and some crusty bread. My mouth waters in anticipation as I inhale the garlicky scent of a fresh-baked loaf.

“You have no idea how excited I am for this,” I inform my grandparents. “I can’t remember the last time I had a vegetable. We were always eating burgers and fries on the road, and while I appreciate a good quarter pounder, still. I think I must be getting scurvy. Do I look orange to you?”

Grandpa Peter laughs. “Is orange skin a symptom of scurvy? No, sweetheart, you look fine. We’ll make sure you get some actual nutrients tonight, Jenna.”
