Crashing Hearts- The Complete Series Page 29

by Zane Menzy

Damon had shaken his head, rubbing away the surface of his moroseness. Matt didn’t need to see the note.

Why would Jenna or Dad just throw it in the bin? Damon had asked himself this more than once. He didn’t know if he should approach them both with what he had found, he worried that if he did that he would cause an argument between the pair. One blaming the other for it being tossed in the trash.

Surely these disgusting words belonged to the same person who had been smearing shit and vandalising their driveway. The words themselves were not threatening, but added to the harassment of the other activities. Damon was sure the time had come to contact the police.

Damon stopped pacing, unfurled his angry fingers clutching the note. He unfolded the raggy piece of paper, reading the wicked words.

Victoria dying was the best thing that ever happened to you.

Damon felt his knees get weak with rage, his body wobbling like jelly. “Fucking pricks,” he muttered aloud to himself.

“Fucking what?” said a girl’s voice. Damon spun around and saw Lexi barging into his room. She was dressed in high cut denim shorts and a tie-dye t-shirt; rocking casual in the prettiest way possible. Damon was glad Zoe wasn’t here, the fashionista blonde loathed Lexi’s taste in clothes and always had a subtle jab at whatever Lexi wore.

“Nothing,” Damon said, he looked over at his study desk and came up with a lie. “I was just thinking about exams coming up.”

Lexi leapt in the air and bounced down on his bed. “I’m sure you’ll be fine.” She ran a hand through her long brown hair before giving him a preachy glare. “I did say you should be studying more.”

Damon rolled his eyes. “Yes, Mum.”

Lexi smiled, flashing her pearly white teeth. “I have come to abduct you for movie night. You are not bailing on us again Mr Harris.” She raised to her feet and walked to stand beside Damon. “There is no way you are leaving me alone with Todd for another Friday night.” She cringed for comedic effect. “He might begin to think I like him or something.”

Damon laughed. He hadn’t intended on joining them tonight. He had plans, or at least his dick did. Three days since his last favour from Matt meant enough time had passed for him to want it again. Well, he had wanted it again within a few hours of Matt leaving but Damon figured if he left it a few days between being sucked off then it wasn’t quite as gay as the whole thing seemed.

Matt had impressed him by swallowing. The guy was so desperate to impress that Damon knew he would be able to rock on to Matt’s again and probably get another good servicing. Damon hadn’t told Matt that he would be visiting, he was just going to rock on over after dinner and assume he would be free to hang out.

Damon looked at Lexi who stared waiting for an answer. “I wasn’t planning on going tonight.” He tilted his head, letting her know he was sorry.

Lexi raised her hand. “No is not an option.” She shook her head. “What on earth do you possibly have lined up that is more fun or important than spending time with us?” She pouted, looking offended.

Damon resorted back to the looming exams as his excuse. “I was going to try and get some study done, that’s all.” He knew the academic Lexi wouldn’t make him ditch the importance of study for movies.

“Oh…really?” Surprise strained her voice. She nibbled on her lip, thinking it over. “What if we went earlier? You know, catch an earlier film than usual?”

Damon inhaled, unsure how he could squirm out of it. His dick didn’t care much for seeing the big screen, it was more looking forward to whatever video Matt had playing in the basement. “Ummm…”

“Don’t be a dick, Damon. We can be back here by nine o’clock and then you’ll have all night to study. It’s not like you have to be up early tomorrow do you?”

  Damon shook his head.

“Good. Then just come with me now,” Lexi said, making her way towards the door.

“Can I get changed first at least, bossy boots?” Damon tugged on his t-shirt, showing her it wasn’t something he wanted to wear out.

“If you insist,” Lexi groaned. “You’re such a bitch when it comes to clothes. I might have to start calling you Zoe.” She poked her tongue out at him.

“Good one, spazzo,” he said sarcastically. “Not all of us make looking like a homeless hippy quite so fashionable.”

Lexi grinned, patting her cheeks like she was putting on moisturiser. “What can I say? It’s a gift.” She stood waiting for him to change his top. “Well, come on.”

Damon hesitated. “Just wait in the car for me, I’ll be down soon.”

“Since when have you ever been too shy to take your top off.” She laughed.

“Maybe I need to change my shitty undies too,” Damon joked.

“Eww!” Lexi screwed her face up in disgust. “Right, I’ll be down waiting in my car.” She turned on her heels and marched out the door.

Damon stood silently, listening to Lexi’s footsteps descend the stairs. When he was sure she was gone, he raced into the hallway, darting towards the upstairs phone. He fished the phonebook out of the drawer the phone sat atop of. When he found the number he needed, Damon punched it in and waited anxiously for his plan to pick up.

When he heard Matt’s voice answer, Damon had a tinge of jealousy at how nice it sounded. “Matt, it’s Damon. I can’t talk for long but will you be home later?” Damon nodded when he heard Matt say yes. “Cool, I’ll be around sometime after ten. Make sure you’re ready to do it again.” He didn’t even wait for Matt to respond, he just hung up the phone and raced to get changed.

Damon knew how rude it seemed, blurting an order down the phone and then hanging up. But it was fucking hot knowing he could say it and get away with it. The whole thing was so personal, something Matt probably didn’t even want to do but would do it anyway. The power attached to it was thrilling, it didn’t matter that it was degrading to Matt; all that mattered to Damon was that he got what he wanted.

Once he had chosen a clean shirt and dabbed his neck with cologne, Damon hurried out to meet Lexi in the car. He hummed a happy song to himself about the night ahead and as he put on his seatbelt he felt his cock twitch discretely in his jeans, impatient for a date with Matt’s mouth.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE:

  A Date with Damon’s Dick

Matt knocked on Jason’s door. He folded his arms, nervously scratching his elbow for the reason of his visit. Jason lived very close by, his home the same cheap weatherboard style house as every other home in Poverty Peak. The defining difference was the well-kept front lawn with its rows of beautiful flowers that Jason’s mum took great pride in keeping.

The house seemed awfully quiet and Matt worried that no one was home. His stomach churned in worry, he needed Jason’s help and pronto! Relief washed over Matt like a wave when Jason finally answer the door.

“Hey, Matty Pie,” Jason greeted, beaming with a huge smile. “I’m actually on my way out sorry but you can come in for a bit.”

Matt nodded. “That’s okay I just came to ask you something really quick.” He looked around the quiet home, the lounge was immaculately tidy, unlike his own. “Where’s your mum and sister?” Matt asked cautiously, worried that uttering their names would trigger their appearance.

“They have both gone to visit Aunty Rose for the evening,” Jason muttered, sounding annoyed. “She had a fantail fly into her house this afternoon, so she is adamant someone in the family is going to die. Mum and my ghetto-arsed sister—love her to pieces— have gone up to visit her to try and calm her down” He circled his finger around his temple. “Crazy old bitch.”

Rose was Jason’s mum’s sister. Matt had met her twice and each time Rose seemed lovely but definitely more than a little kooky. Years of drug abuse fused with poor mental health meant she kept Jason’s family busy with worry and an array of strange tales.

Matt sat down on one of the comfy couches drowned in a white couch-cover. “You don’t believe in that sort of stuff?”
/>   Jason stood in front of a mirror hanging from the lounge wall, adjusting the fringe of his hair to stick up more. “Sometimes… but this is a woman who never takes her meds and I imagine is just hallucinating.” He spun around, glaring at Matt. “Honestly, I’m surprised it was just a fantail she saw and not Brad Pitt riding in on butterflies or something.”

“Oh,” Matt smiled. He looked at Jason’s outfit. A plain grey collared shirt tucked into black dress pants. Aside from his glittery hair—puffed up at the back like a bright peacock tail—Jason looked remarkably conformist for once. Matt let his friend know he was looking good, “You look spiffy. Where are you going?”

Jason returned his peepers to the mirror, admiring himself. “Bill has invited me to his farewell work doo. I finally get to meet his buddies.”

“Really? Seems strange with him leaving soon.” Matt relaxed back into the couch, waiting for Jason to sit down and join him.

“Yeah. I guess it is a bit odd but I invited him to my workplace drinks the other night, so I think it’s a bit like tit for tat.” Jason finally broke away from the mirrors pull on him, going and sitting down beside Matt.

Jason’s innocent explanation cut like an invisible knife. Matt shuffled uncomfortably, embarrassed by the mention of something he was never invited to. Not once had Jason ever asked him to come along to his café’s after work drinks shenanigans. Matt would hear all about the fun they had when Jason recited the fun-filled evenings. He had always hoped Jason would ask him to come along. But he never did. It was comments like these which reminded Matt that although they were pals, Jason had never granted him full access to his social life. A social life that was rich compared to Matt’s non-existent one. Not for long though, Matt thought. Damon Harris was going to change that now that they were becoming friends.

Jason tapped Matt on the shoulder. “Anyway, what was it you wanted to ask me?”

Matt scratched his chin, scared to come out with it. He had rehearsed the fake tale in his mind several times before leaving his house, but as he went to open his mouth he knew how fucking stupid it all sounded. “I um… went on the dating phone lines.”

Jason grinned, pleased to hear Matt take a risk. “Good for you, how did it go?”

“Really good,” Matt said, nodding his head. “I actually have a girl coming around tonight.”

Jason’s mouth dropped open. “No shit?”

“No shit. And she is keen to…” Matt paused, willing himself to spill the lie. “She is keen to suck me off.”

Jason choked on a laugh and began fanning his face. “Dear god, I wasn’t expecting you to say that.”

Matt chuckled, his neck reddening from the shame. “Yeah. So, she said she hasn’t ever done that before and I just wanted to ask you if you had any pointers I could give her.”

Jason blinked, his face deadpan in what Matt could only assume was shock. “You want me to tell you pointers on how to suck a dick that you will then go tell her?”

Matt screamed at himself internally for how stupid he was sounding. “Yes, that’s what I’m asking.”

Jason narrowed his eyes, giving Matt a suspicious smile. “Hmm, sounds a bit fishy to me.”

Matt stood up, feeling too awkward to continue. “Don’t worry about it, Jason. Sorry for asking.”

Jason grabbed him by the arm, hauling him back down on the couch. “Don’t get your knickers in a twist, Matty Pie.” He laughed. “Look, aside from telling her to open her mouth and suck it like it’s a lollipop what is it you want to know?”

Matt clasped his hands together, squeezing out his nerves. “I don’t know… how can she make it good… make it special?” He looked across at Jason who sat wide-eyed, buying into the story he was being sold. Matt quickly added, “How can she make me have a good time?”

“For starters, the fact she is letting some stinky straight boy put his dick in her mouth is special enough but aside from that I know a few tricks that can help.” Jason’s lip curled up, he leant forward and began speaking in an excited whisper.

Matt nodded along to the erotic instructions and handy hints. His mouth dropped more than once at what he was hearing. That’s something people do? Matt thought at one suggestion. When Jason had finished with the carnal lesson, Matt knew he had more than enough to work with. He wanted to give Damon something special. Something to help Damon see how committed he was to being his mate.

Matt thanked Jason for his advice and got up to leave. As he walked down the front steps, Jason called out to him from the front door. “Hey, Matty.”

  Matt spun around. “Yeah?”

“One last thing. Be careful with your teeth. They don’t like it when you use your teeth.” Jason gave him a knowing smile.

Matt felt his stomach drop. Obviously, Jason could see through his bullshit story. Matt felt emotionally naked in that moment. A shudder run up his spine. Jason knew exactly what Matt would be doing tonight. It was a strange thing this submissive fear of being exposed for something that he wasn’t. But just as quick as the fear appeared it dissipated when he saw Jason shrug like Matt’s choice of bed partner were no big deal.

“Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind,” Matt said, smiling back and waving goodbye.

If only Jason knew that the no teeth lesson was one he had already learned. Matt walked back home, soaking up Jason’s advice, hoping he could give Damon a night worthy of adoration. He laughed to himself when he realised the absurdity of looking forward to the night ahead and a date with Damon’s dick.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO:

  A Small World

Lexi had driven them to town where they met Todd waiting for them at the escalators of the cinema mall. The place was packed with a mix of people—pensioner couples, young parents, hordes of teens—all lining up to get tickets to the latest releases. Posters for upcoming films lined the walls; Scream 2, Titanic, Starship Troopers.

Todd and Damon were dying to go see the flesh-filled Boogie Nights but unlike Benny’s Bottle Store, the picture theatre did check ID relentlessly. Lexi and Todd had both turned eighteen earlier in the year. It was Damon who was letting the team down; he had one more week to wait for his turn to hit that magical number.

Instead, they ended up buying tickets to another movie filled with nudity. The Full Monty. The movie made them all laugh out loud but its naked bodies were far from the kind they wanted to see. When it was all over and done with, Lexi insisted they go for a bite to eat at one of the coffee houses along the main strip. Damon had looked at his watch, making sure he had the time.

Lexi spotted his reluctance and promptly scolded, “Damon, you have done next to no study all year. Why now are you so bloody compelled to open up a textbook?”

Damon’s tongue stayed stuck in his mouth, no words rolling from it. He shrugged for lack of a decent comeback.

Lexi patted his shoulder. “Just hit the books tomorrow. Surely you can spare me one more hour of your precious time.”

“I guess I can offer you the honour of my awesome company for one more hour,” Damon said with a sly grin.

“Good.” Lexi turned her attention to Todd. “And what about you, blondie? Care to join me, Damon and his giant ego?”

Todd rammed his hands into his jeans pockets, rocking back and forward on his feet. His hesitancy to answer set Lexi off again on another spiel, “Not you too! Don’t tell me you’re wanting to go home and study as well?”

“Well, umm—” was all Todd managed to get out before Lexi cut him off.

“You don’t even need to study. You could sit the exams tomorrow and ace them. Damon’s brain could do with some time to study but not yours.” She quickly glanced at Damon and muttered, “Sorry that came out worse that it meant to.”

  Damon chuckled, rolling his eyes.

“No, I don’t have to do any study,” Todd answered. “I just want to go home and get to bed before the terrible twins wake up. They keep waking up and screaming in the middle of the night and its fucking up my sleep.”

>   Lexi dropped her pushy stance. “Oh… well, I guess that’s forgivable. Go home and sleep before the adorable twinsies wake up.”

“Trust me, Lexi, them little fuckers aren’t adorable,” Todd said. “All they do is scream to be fed and shit themselves.”

“Don’t be so mean about your brother and sister,” Lexi said in a half-laugh.

“Sound like they take after you, mate,” Damon teased. “Except they get tits in their face more than you do.”

“Classic.” Lexi high fived Damon, congratulating his wit.

“Yeah, I won’t be fighting with them over those boobs,” Todd said, chuckling.

“Are you sure, Todd?” Damon winked at him. “You don’t want to nibble on your mum’s crusty nipples just a wee bit?”

“Gross, Damon!” Lexi whacked his arm, still laughing.

“Nar, mate. But I wouldn’t mind having a go on your mum’s, though.” Todd’s jab back made Damon uneasy. “Anyway, you two go without me. I’ll call you both tomorrow, yeah?”

  Damon nodded.

“Make sure you do,” Lexi said.

Todd pulled his keys out of his pocket, jingling them in the air. “Will do. Catch you later.” He walked off leaving Damon and Lexi to go get their bite to eat.

Once at the late-night café, Damon made a point of scoffing his hot chips and fizzy coke down as fast as possible. He silently willed Lexi to hurry up so she would drop him home. The sooner the better. His cock was riding a constant state of semi-arousal, hungry to have its needs met. Damon kept having to discretely lower his hand, pushing his dick down before it grew too hard from its long wait.

It was now after 10 p.m. and he just hoped Matt would wait up for him. Of course, he will. If he’s willing to do me favours, then he will be willing to wait an hour, Damon reminded himself.

Damon rocked gently in his seat, listening to Lexi ramble on about ideas for his birthday party next weekend. He nodded and smiled along to the scene she was painting. Little did Lexi know that his mind was elsewhere.
