The Prophecy Page 16

Aurora walked towards the bathroom, which felt odd, and her strides were far larger than she was accustomed to — ducking her or his head, depending on how one looked at it, as she entered the bathroom. Flipping the light on, she stared at Karis’s face and body clothed in his style of clothing. “Ahh… This can’t be fuckin’ happening! How the fuck am I wearing his clothes too? Shouldn’t my clothing be in shreds?” Screamed Aurora as she ran back into the bedroom forgetting to duck, she slammed her or his forehead against the top of the door frame.

“Ouch! Dammit!” yelled Aurora. “How the heck do I turn back?” Asked Aurora as she stood with her head almost touching the roof. Paisley shrugging her shoulders, looked helpless. Aurora closed her eyes and tried to think of turning back. Opening them again, she found her head still at the ceiling level.

“You should contact your mates and get them to come help.” Said Paisley. She was right; she couldn’t figure this out alone. So focusing on her link with her mates, she spoke into their bond.

“Hey guys, I think I got myself into a bit of a pickle, and I badly need some help.” Said Aurora. “How much trouble could you possibly have gotten yourself in with being in your dorm room?” Asked Deacon.

“A lot apparently. Considering I look like Karis right now and I don’t know how to turn back to me!” Cried Aurora into the bond. Within seconds, the guys all tumbled through the door, then stared open-mouthed. They looked from real Karis then back to her then back again.

“Holy shit, you weren’t kidding. You shapeshifted!” Said Eli in awe. Aurora’s familiar Tigress sat to the side of the room, looking at her oddly and smelling the air. Loki, who had been with the guys in their room, flew into the room.

“Fuck Loki, see double! Loki see’s double!” Said the fowl mouthed bird. Aurora wanting to cry, sat on the bed. “How do I turn back?” She asked.

“We don’t know because none of us could ever shapeshift.” Said Deacon as he blinked, still not fully believing what he was seeing. Loki cocked his head to the side, looking at her.

“Loki know how. Loki used to shapeshift all the time before the war. Loki was no bird.” Squeaked Loki as everyone stared at him, and his words set in.

“What do you mean you weren’t a bird before the Aesir Vanir war?” Asked Aurora in shock. Loki blinked his beady little eyes and said.

“I Loki trickster mischievous tried to cheat death by being a raven. My fault, my son Fenrir so horrible. I help you win the war. I know shapeshift stuff.” Squawked the mouthy bird as he walked on the desk flapping his wings.

“I Loki swore allegiance to Odin to protect the chosen one before he turned me into a raven. You Odin’s daughter. I help you.” Said Loki with much effort.

“Well, I never saw that coming!” Said Deacon in disbelief. “Okay, one thing at a time first, let’s get me normal again.” Said Aurora as she stared at the bird expectantly. “Okay, Loki, how do I turn back?” Asked Aurora in Karis’s voice. Loki fluffing up his feathers flew to the pink desk chair and squawking said. “First, cool your tits, and stop freaking out, breathe deep. Close your eyes. Imagine what your body feels like. Feel it.” Instructed a squawking Loki.

Paisley, Eli, Deacon, Karis, and Teagan all stood holding their breath, hoping that this would work. Otherwise, they would have to go ask Madam Rosemary to find another shapeshifter to instruct Aurora. Afraid to take their eyes off her for even a moment, they intently watched starring.

Aurora huffed, annoyed yet again. These muscles were too big for her to handle. Being big wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. Taking deep breaths in and out, she started to feel herself calming down, imagining her petite body with her blue jeans and small delicate legs, her blue hair, and green eyes how her hair felt, how it felt to walk, how it felt to be made love to in her own body. She thought of everything and anything she could to trigger the change. Then as a last resort feeling desperate, she thought of what it feels like to have her mates kiss her and hold her. She told herself that in her body, that was possible. Suddenly she could feel Tigress licking her hand, and she opened her eyes to see everyone open-mouthed yet again. “Please say this time, I am looking like myself!” inquired Aurora in a worried tone of voice, about to run for the bathroom mirror in a complete panic.

Paisley spoke up. “Yes, you are back to being your normal self. But I think we are all in awe because you haven’t realized what an advantage this will be in fighting the war. And I don’t know about you guys, but I have never heard of your past selves having a shapeshifting ability. Throw in that Loki your familiar is Loki the God, and we are a little gob smacked.”

“Speaking of that now that I am back to normal, how is it that you are Loki, the god, yet you’re a raven now. I know you explained it before, but I still don’t understand because the prophecy said that only two gods would live, and only two did. Odin and Tyr, but if you are Loki, the god in a raven’s body, what does that mean about the prophecy?” Asked Aurora as her forehead furrowed and she bit her lip.

Loki flapped his wings and squawked. “I no have god power no more. I raven familiar now. I still Loki, just in a different body. My body Raven. My god body died. I found a loophole and took it.” Said Loki as he fluffed and groomed his feathers.

The next day after school, Teagan opened a bigger portal than normal, and grabbing Aurora’s hand, they jump through to the east side of Asgard, a forested area with a field. Teagan hadn’t told her where they were going only to wear something easy to take on and off. She had raised her eyebrows a bit at that. Now they stood here in a beautiful field full of thousands of flowers of different colors, and large trees sat off to the side.

“So, what’s the surprise?” Asked Aurora, who by now was rather curious as she stood with her hands on her hips wearing a black sundress.

“I am going to teach you to fly!” Announced Teagan grinning ear to ear. Aurora’s first thought was oh, fuck no! She had a fear of heights and always had. Dammit, why hadn’t she insisted that Karis teach her to teleport sooner!

“I’m actually not feeling well, couldn’t we go back to the school?” Asked Aurora as she put a hand over her stomach and lied through her teeth. Teagan chuckled.

“You’re a dragon; you can’t afford to be afraid of heights. Didn’t think I noticed at the bridge the fear that wafted off you?” Said Teagan bluntly. She starred at him, surprised and speechless. What the fuck did she say now to get out of this? Turning around, she attempted to find a way back to the school. Teagan ran over, picked her up, and threw her over his shoulder as she kicked.

“It didn’t help that Deacon; the ass dropped me off the freakin’ bridge!” Yelled Aurora as she wiggled, which only earned her a smack on the ass. “Owe! Dammit; you're enjoying this too much.” Declared a seething, Aurora.

“A tiny bit, yes. Look, Aurora, you can’t run away from this. You are a dragon, dragons fly. Your dragon needs to get out and stretch its wings sometimes. You will hurt your dragon half if you don’t fly and shift often!” Said Teagan sternly as he walked back into the middle of the field and set her on her feet. Aurora scowled at him outright annoyed although a tiny part of her acknowledged that what he said seemed true.

“Fine, I will try, I guess.” Said Aurora begrudgingly.” But if I fall, you better catch me or something and not just let me plummet.” Teagan smiled at her and moving in closer, wrapped an arm around him back roughly, pulling her snug up against him. “I wouldn’t let any harm come to you.” Then he kissed her sweetly and pulled away. “If you want more of that, than you will have to learn to fly.” Said Teagan teasingly.

“Bribing me, now are you? Seriously. And what if I don’t want any more of that?” Said Aurora sassily. Teagan turned back towards her moving in until his mouth was close but not touching hers. She swallowed and licked her lips. Teagan smiled.

“If you didn’t want any more of that, than I wouldn’t smell your arousal, and you wouldn’t be licking those sinful lips in anticipation.” Then he walked a few p
aces away and turned to look at her.

“Okay, strip down, so when you shift, you don’t ruin your clothing.” He said in a no-nonsense gruff tone. Complying, she took off the black dress and lacy red underwear and bra. Now standing completely naked a few feet from Teagan completely naked in all his muscular glory, she couldn’t help but think how am I going to concentrate when I have that to look at. Teagan grinned; the teasing ass knew exactly what was going through her head.

“Okay, you have to remember in the shifter world we are not ashamed or shy about our nakedness. We don’t stare at others openly as it's considered rude unless it's our mate. Now I want you to close your eyes concentrate on that burning flame at the center of your chest. You should be able to sense your dragon there. Today you will officially meet her for the first time. Let me know when you have found her.” Said Teagan as he waited.

Aurora closed her eyes and tried to get his naked body out of her head. Come on concentrate dammit, she thought to herself. Breathing long breaths in and out, she did as he said and concentrated on the burning flame at the center of her chest. Where are you dragon, a dragon called Aurora internally? Envisioning her purple dragon, she looked for it. There at her center sat her dragon. “Okay, now what?” Asked Aurora as she bit her lip nervously.

“Now imagine letting your dragon out and your human half staying where she was.” Instructed Teagan. Aurora concentrated and, in her mind, walked forward, switching places with her dragon. Her purple dragon came to the surface, causing her bones to break and reform painfully but faster than the first shift. And then the pain was gone. And she could see through her dragon’s big eyes. Teagan smiled up at her and then said into their linked bond.

“Right on, you did it! Okay, I’m going to shift now and join you.” Teagan, who was used to shifting, was a lot faster at it. He shifted into a big red dragon, almost effortlessly. Then speaking into her mind, he said.

“We are going to start with flapping our wings and hovering above the ground. Your dragon is going to want to take control and soar, and you are going to have to rein her in a bit for a few moments. Talk to her and tell her she will get freedom soon.” Instructed Teagan. Aurora focused with all her might on moving her wings. Slowly she folded them in and out then up and down. Then her dragon pushed a little and started flapping her wings much harder until they lifted off the ground and hovered in the air slightly. Talking to her inner dragon, she said. Okay, that’s enough, put me down. Her dragon gave in as the wing flaps slowed, they dropped down onto the ground.

“Good job. Now you might not want to, but I always found it helps to talk with your dragon. She is a part of you and also her own. You and she are like two souls sharing one body. It helps to trust one another. You will have to let go of your fear Aurora. Okay, now give your dragon control, and we are going to fly for the first time.” Explained Teagan as his red dragon nudged her purple one affectionately.

Aurora mentally took deep breaths and let her dragon have control. Deciding to name her purple imp because it was so original and totally her style, she addressed her dragon. Hello purple imp, I am Aurora. Feeling silly and not really expecting anything, she was surprised when her dragon replied. “Hello, Aurora, why did you name me purple imp?” it asked. Aurora stunned replied.

“Because you are a beautiful purple, and if you are anything like me, I am mischievous and daring at times like an imp.” Aurora found it odd looking through her dragon eyes at Teagan yet having a whole internal conversation with her dragon.

“Oh, yes, I like your name then. You can call me purple imp. Our mate says you are scared to fly. Why so scared?” Asked her dragon.

“I don’t like heights; the idea of falling scares me. Only a week ago, I was dropped from high up off a bridge; it scares me.” Answered Aurora truthfully.

“I am your dragon; I will not let you fall if you learn to trust me. Don’t fight for control in the air. If you want to go somewhere, ask, or tell me. Do that, and we will be just fine. “Said her dragon. Teagan seemed to just be standing there waiting for her to get up the courage to attempt to fly.

“Okay, let’s do this, I guess.” Said Aurora to her dragon, that happily took over and started flapping her wings swiftly, then ran and jumped off the chasm cliffs. Her dragon swooped down and then flapped her wings harder to climb in height. Catching a wind current, they soared, and she could feel the glee and joy coming off her dragon at the freedom of flying. Looking sideways, she could see Teagan his red dragon right beside them flying.

“Hey, my Love, look at you. You are flying so beautifully.” Said Teagan into their link. “It’s not too bad if I don’t look down, and I let her have control if I were to take control right now, I'd be freaking out.” Said Aurora. They flew for probably a half-hour, she guessed. Swooping under and over the ice bridge and over the sea, they worked their way up and in between the glowing branches of the world tree, and onward towards the field once more.

“Okay, get ready to land. Don’t panic; let your dragon land. Ask her to land in the field, okay?” Instructed Teagan as he asked. “Okay,” said Aurora as she inertly turned to her dragon.

“Hey, purple imp, can you land in the field, please.” Asked Aurora.

“Will I be able to come to fly again soon and stretch my wings?” Asked her dragon. “Yes, I will make sure you get to do this as often as we can as long as you land us safely on the ground and let me take over.” Said Aurora. “Okay,” Said her inner dragon as she started free falling downwards. Aurora wanted to close her eyes. But if she did, her dragon wouldn’t be able to see, so she swallowed her fear. As they got closer to the ground, her dragon caught the air current and started to descend slowly. Until they landed running on the ground and came to a stop.

“Thank you, purple imp.” Said Aurora to her dragon. Then she took control and brought herself forward. Her bones cracked and broke shrinking down in size and reformed into her human form. The first thing that hit her upon standing on her now wobbly legs was that every muscle ached. Her back where her wings had been, hurt like the dickens! And her legs oh my gosh. Wobbling gingerly towards her dress on the ground, she reached down and grabbed her underwear and bra. The sound of Teagan’s dragon landing behind her somewhere registered as she pulled her red panties on and hooked her bra strap. It was unbelievable how much she hurt. Teagan walked over to her and reached an arm up to touch her shoulder, and she flinched. “My muscles are really sore. Can we just go back to the school? I could use a hot bath?” Said Aurora as she cringed in pain. She felt like she had muscles that she never knew she had, and well, she did. Teagan picked her up and opened a portal they stepped through.

Aurora ached so badly that once they got back, she begged Teagan to get Karis and have him do his magic thing and have Epson salt appear in front of her. “Hey Karis, our mate says she really needs Epson salt for a bath; she’s hurting after my flying lesson today.” Said Teagan into the telepathic link. “What the hell did you do to her to make her that sore?” Asked Karis. “I didn’t do anything. It’s normal after the first time flying as a dragon, dude! Think about it; she just used muscles she has never used before. Dragon wings are not easy to control.” Said Teagan defending himself.

Okay, I will be there in a few minutes to help her. Run her a bath as warm as she can stand it. It will help her muscles. Teagan picking her up placed her in the tub then helped her remove her dress and underwear. Once he got the water running, he said to her. “Let me know if it gets too warm, and I will make it colder. Karis is on his way.” Aurora nodded her head that she understood as she laid her head back against the bathroom tiled wall and hoped the hot water would ease the aching pain.

Karis arrived with Epson salt and a balm lotion. “Hey, honey had a rough training session, eh. I’m going to pour some Epson salt in here, and we will put the jets on so it will help your muscles.” He then tore the bags open and dumped the salt in along with some lavender oil. “That smells amazing, thanks, Karis.” Said Aurora as she gr
abbed his big hand and squeezed it affectionately. Karis turning to Teagan, asked. “Gee, what the heck did you do to her? She looks like she’s really sore?” Said Karis as he got up and shut off the water. Steam raised off the water surface. “Nothing other than have her fly as her dragon for the first time. It's normal to feel sore sometimes. She’s just used muscles she never has used before. She’s bound to be sore. But she is a Goddess, have they not taught her how to heal herself yet?” Asked Teagan as he ran his hands through his hair. Karis glanced at him sharply.

“Might have been smart to ask that beforehand.” Remarked Karis as he turned back to Aurora, who lay naked in the tub with bluish bruising starting to show up all over her body. “Aurora honey, have they started to teach you how to heal in school yet?” Asked Karis as he picked up a sponge and soaking up warm water moved it up and down her legs.

Aurora shook her head. “No, not yet, although if you can explain how to do it, I would be willing to try.” She said as she clenched her jaw in pain. Her muscles were intent on hurting her. Taking a big breath, Karis sat on the toilet seat beside the tub and caressed his fingers over her forehead and through her hair.

“Okay, well, first of all, take a deep breath. Center yourself. We are going to do what’s called a body scan.” Explained Karis as Aurora nodded with her eyes closed. “Okay, imagine a bright white light deep within yourself at your core. Now let it cover your whole body slowly. Envision it healing bruising, muscle pain, and skin tissue everything. Let that light shine brighter and brighter as it heals.” Instructed Karis as he watched in complete awe. She was glowing bright, brighter than he had ever seen anyone glow when healing. Light shone out of her pores and clung to her body as it moved everywhere at once. “How is that feeling now?” Asked Karis as Teagan came back into the room and gasped. “It feels good I barely feel the pain right now.” Said Aurora, her eyes still closed.
