Conveniently Convicted Page 26

When he reaches around and pinches my clit between his fingers, I come with a scream. “My name,” he snarls against my ear, and I have just enough wherewithal to be able to accomplish his demands, and his name tears from my lips.

He roars out his release on the backend of my own, burying himself so deep inside of me that it’s like he wants to take up permanent residence. I collapse against the tiled wall, feeling completely wrung out, almost high from the back-to-back orgasms he just gave me.

I blink as his mouth trails kisses up my spine. “Love you, Sunrise,” he purrs, and I smile.

“Ahluuurvvooooo,” I mumble, too blissed out and satisfied to speak any kind of intelligible language.

Rook laughs and splays his hand on my chest to stand me upright. “We’re...sticky,” he observes, and I chuckle.

“Candy sex requires good hygiene practices,” I slur out.

“I guess the shower was a good call.”

“Mmm-hmm,” I agree, and he pulls out of me and reaches for the body wash and loofah.

He lathers it up and starts washing and massaging my entire body with adoring tenderness. Seriously, if we could get the boulders in the house thing in check, I’d have the best mate ever. Fuck it, even with the boulders, he’s the best mate ever.

I melt against him, and he chuckles, knowing exactly what he’s doing to me. Bubbles streak over my breasts and down my stomach as he draws little circles with the soaped up loofah across my belly.

“I want to put a baby in here soon,” he declares completely out of the blue, and my mind skids to a stop, hits reverses, and honks out a say what?

The pool of post orgasmic calm I was just floating in is replaced by shock. I study his face for a moment, and he does the same as we both attempt to silently hear what the other is thinking.

“Um, that’s not going to happen,” I mumble awkwardly.

His brows immediately dip. “I’m not saying now. Obviously, it’s all about whenever you’re ready. I’m just letting you know that I’m ready. Whenever you are,” he tells me sweetly before he drops the loofah between my thighs.

Fuck, that feels good. Focus, Sinclair!

“No, I’m saying that can’t happen bec—”

“Just forget I mentioned it. It was stupid. I don’t want to fight, and if you keep saying it can’t happen, we’re going to argue about it,” he states, cutting me off.

  I growl in irritation.

“See? It’s happening already. I knew I should have waited for you to bring it up. I totally owe Trex twenty now.”

That admission makes me pause. Why are Trex and Rook betting over baby talk? Males are weird. I shake my head to clear those thoughts away.

“Rook,” I start, but he drops the loofah and starts playing with my clit again.

I hiss and then moan as he pulls a now squeaky clean nipple into his mouth. “Let’s do more of this instead,” he murmurs in between flicks of his tongue against my peaked breast.

I get lost to the sensations for a beat before snapping myself out of it. I push his hands and head away from my body.

“Will you stop interrupting me and distracting me with your mouth and fingers? Let me talk, and then we can get to the more sex portion of today’s program!”

He chuckles and keeps his mouth closed as I once again collect my thoughts and focus on what I’m trying to say. “When I say that it can’t happen, that you can’t put a baby in me soon...I say that because you can’t put a baby in there when there’s already one calling dibs on the place,” I tell him, feeling shy about the admission. I’ve only known myself for a couple of days and I’ve been debating how best to go about the big reveal.

Rook just stares at me, blinking.

“It’s early, only a couple months I think, but the little squirt seems to like it in there. Other than the missed periods, I haven’t even felt any differently. Dinah was sick as fuck with Verity, but so far so good for me,” I ramble.

Rook’s mouth suddenly crashes to mine, and he kisses me stupid. He cups my head and pours all his love and excitement from his lips to mine. By the time he pulls away, happy tears are slipping down both of our faces.

He smiles the most beautiful dimple-laced smile ever and raises his hands in victory and whoops at the top of his lungs. “I’m going to be a daddy!”

I laugh as he goes running out of the shower. “Where are you going?”

“I have to tell everyone!” he shouts back over his shoulder, almost slipping and falling in his hurry to go spread the good news.

“Rook Bowen, you get your fine ass back in here!”

He immediately comes squeaking back. “Is it the baby?” he asks, suddenly all concerned.

I laugh and roll my eyes. “No, I just need you to finish what you started,” I tell him with a seductive smile and a finger pointing down toward my vagina, just in case he missed my meaning.

His eyes heat, and he prowls back toward me. He picks me up, and I wrap my legs around his waist as he carries us out of the shower.

“Hey, I liked it in there!” I protest.

“Nope, showers are slippery and dangerous. From now on, we fuck in the bed only. Much safer,” he declares, heading right for our massive bed.

I groan and laugh. He’s going to be insufferably protective, I can already tell. I smile at the thought. Meh, there are worse things.

I spot the new boulders decorating the room. My cockatrice loves the sight. “I don’t know, Glow Worm, I bet sex on rocks would be pretty safe too,” I mention casually. “I see a couple that my amazing mate just brought for me, and I bet they could use a good breaking in.”

Rook growls approvingly and switches directions, beelining it right for the basanite. I laugh and grind against him as I nip at his neck.

Happiness envelops me, and I wouldn’t be able to wipe the smile from my face for anything. If someone had told me seven months ago that Alpha Bowen would become everything to me, I would have junk punched them. But now, life is sweeter than Pop Rocks and nineties music, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  The End.
