Kirall leaned down and kissed his mate. "You continue to amaze me, my mate. I will be forever grateful that you switched places with Kristy."
"Me too," Autumn said, reaching up to caress his face. "It was the best decision I ever made."
"Besides mating me, you mean," he teased picking up a towel to wipe her sweaty brow.
"Of course," she teased back before her eyes shot to Niccele who was standing behind him, a bundle in her arms, and a shocked expression on her face. "What's wrong?" Autumn immediately demanded. "Is something wrong with my baby?"
"No," Niccele immediately reassured, "she's perfect. But…"
"She?" Kirall asked.
"Yes, my son, you have a female," Niccele told him.
"But what?" Autumn demanded sitting up to hold out her arms. Niccele immediately placed the now cooing little dragoon in her mother's arms.
Both mother and father looked down and gasped at their newborn’s hair.
It was silver.
Kirall looked to his mate and saw that her hair was now the solid red it had initially been when he'd met her.
"She's a Silver Supreme," Autumn whispered, unable to believe it, but on the wind, she heard Kur laugh.
