Shifting Moonlight - the prequel Page 3

by Ahmari Das

This is the real JT as in Jeter Teddy, he is our 10yr old, full Peekinese, we also got him as a puppy in 2004. Jeter is, by far, the best behaved dog I have ever owned. He is quite, gentle, loving and loyal. He always has a dignified air about him and looks like king of all he sees, but is a gentleman to the female dogs, letting them eat first etc,

Jeter and Sasha had one litter of puppies by accident, Jeter was only 8mo old at the time and was scheduled to be neutered, not quickly enough however.... we kept one puppy, Little Britches nick-named Bean, and a year and a half after I sold her I took Princess Pea, nick-named P. Pea (no NOT pee pee, yes I know they are pronounced the same, I didn't nick-name her so don't blame me, it's what she answers to) from her owners as I had become aware of the severe neglect that was happening. I tried saving the pug that was with P. Pea, but unfortunately he died that night. Then a few years ago my son gave me a Lhasa Apso, named Moe, he rescued from simular neglectful conditions. We renamed him Mosby Joseph, nick-named Mo-Jo, well mostly Mo. These dog's character will be in future books.

We recently acquired two cats, brothers, that were my daughter in law's, due to extenuating circumstances they are now mine. They rule the upstairs, which is blocked off with a gate from the dogs, who rule the downstairs. A cold war has developed. Peace talks are continuing however. I talk about this in my blog, in case your interested. Bean has taking up a love affair with the cat fluffer, good fodder for a interspecies war between cat shifters and wolf shifters that Bean may end… to be continued

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ahmari Das was born in upstate New York, in a city not far from Canada and on Lake Champlain, with the Adirondacks always as her backdrop. She often says how can you grow up in all this beauty and not want to be an artist. So unsurprisingly, she became an artist! Under her birth name Angela Gonyea, she is a known Adirondack Artist with many landscapes of the local lakes, ponds, rivers and mountains of this area. She is also a charcoal portrait artist and sells prints of her charcoal ballerina series. She loves painting and drawing abstract, and her goddess Luna paintings are used for the covers of the shifter series..

Ahmari's husband is the reason Ahmari writes about soul mates in her shifter books, as he is hers. The first time she saw her husband, she couldn't breath for a minute, the attraction was that strong. She knew he was going to be hers.Ahmari has now been with her amazing husband for 27 years. They have two incredible sons, both married. One tiny adorable granddaughter and one on the way. She has 5 dogs and 2 cats who are in the middle of a cold war and are a constant source of inspiration.

Ahmari was born with stories running around in her head. She has used them tell herself bedtime stories as a child, to fill a boring afternoon up with adventure, and to escape to when real life became a bit tedious. She still tells herself bedtime stories and daydreams, but now she calls it "working." Ahmari started writing in college, mainly research and term papers, but she also took journalism and wrote for the college paper. After college, writing took a back seat to her art, but now that she has established a presence in the art world, all her stories are demanding attention. In the wonderful world of indie books lies her opportunity to share her stories with the world

Ahmari is also a registered nurse, a Buddhist lay Lama. She also sings and plays the bass is her band Samsara, with her husband and sons.
