He rubbed his finger around the edge of Lucius’ arsehole, listening for any sign that Lucius didn’t want this. No sound came, so Harry pressed the tip of his finger inside. Lucius responded by copying the move and Harry moaned with pleasure. He couldn’t wait until the time when Lucius replaced his finger with his cock.

Slowly and deliberately, they sucked and lightly fingered each other until they came. Then they rested a while before starting all over again.

The morning sun became the afternoon sun and they still hadn’t moved from the bed.

Harry rested his head on Lucius’ chest. “We should probably go find some food. My stomach is starting to protest the lack of sustenance.”

Lucius sat up and slapped Harry’s arse. “Well, let it not be said that King Lucius doesn’t feed his man.”

“It should probably be me providing for you,” Harry replied. “After all, you’ve never had to fend for yourself before.”

Lucius kissed him. “You are not a servant. You’re my future husband.”

Harry nodded. It would take a bit of getting used to. He got up and went to find his clothes. When they were both dressed they went to explore the castle and find food.

It appeared as if the bedchamber wasn’t the only part of the castle to undergo a transformation. The rest of the rooms and corridors were also different. Sunlight streamed through the windows and everything sparkled as though it were brand new.

“It’s like we’re in a different castle,” Lucius said.

Harry agreed. The place was beautiful, almost magical, even though Harry knew that the opposite was true, and that they were only now seeing the castle as it truly was.

When they reached the main entrance hall they found they had company.

Three men and two women, all in plain and modest clothing, stood near the door.

  “Who are they?” Harry whispered.

“How would I know?” Lucius replied. “Come on. I generally find that greeting people and asking works quite well in such situations.”

Harry let Lucius take the lead. After all, Lucius appeared the perfect royal host, even if his clothes were a little worn and rumpled. Harry, on the other hand, looked every inch an assassin and miscreant.

Lucius greeted their guests, who explained that they had come over from the mainland hoping to find work. There were few opportunities for them on the mainland, and when the island had appeared it had drawn them like a beacon.

“We have plenty of jobs here,” Lucius told them. “We’ve just moved in and are in need of a full staff for the castle and the land around us. If you know of anyone else searching for work, do let them know.”

The group nodded enthusiastically and promised to bring their families and anyone else they knew who might be interested, across the water to the island. From the sound of things, they would have a full complement of staff within a couple of days.

Lucius wrote out a quick message to Philippe and sent it with one of the men, who assured him that he would see it safely on its way to his brother.

Harry went to check out the grounds and found a large vegetable garden and apple orchard. Everything appeared to be ready for harvesting, and he had no doubt that magic had been at work there too. He gathered enough food to tide them over until their new staff returned and returned to Lucius with the supplies. At least they wouldn’t starve.

He placed the basket on the table and walked over to Lucius, where he wrapped his arms around him. “You look happy.”

“I am,” Lucius replied. “Are you?”

“Very.” Harry was surprised at just how happy he was with how things had turned out.

Lucius took Harry’s knife from his belt. “I don’t think you’ll be needing this anymore.”

Harry looked at the knife that had been a gift from his father. He wasn’t sure how he felt about letting it go, even if that part of his life was over.

Lucius seemed to sense his hesitation. “We’ll find somewhere to put it, safe and sound,” he amended. “A reminder of the past, even as we look forward to our future.”

“You should probably take this back too,” Harry said as he took off the ring that Philippe had given him back in the tavern. “I suspect your brother will want it returned.”

Lucius took the ring from Harry and held it in his hand. “Philippe has the jewels of the kingdom at his disposal now.”

“Still, I don’t feel right in keeping it.”

Lucius slipped the ring onto his index finger. “I’ll keep this only a short while. I’ll return it to you on our wedding day.”

“Are you absolutely sure about this?”

“More than I have ever been in my life,” Lucius replied. “Are you?”

Harry nodded, too choked up for words. He wrapped his arms around Lucius and held him tight. He never wanted to let go.

In his wildest dreams he had never imagined that a villain such as himself would get to live happy ever after, but Lucius had shown him that anything was possible for those who believed in true love.
