The Motherfuckin’Recap
All right, good people… we’ve been on this journey for a long time, just waiting to see if Brian, Raphael, and Andre will be able to help King Adriel defeat his brother. This is the final episode, the big motherfucking kahuna, the ending of the most epic of proportions. I don’t even know if y’all ready for this shit, but I’m going to give it to ya anyway, because I’m cool like that.
The last time we had checked in with these badass mofos, they had managed to take down the powerful demonic shamans who were protecting Katashniel’s whereabouts. Now that the cloaking spell is destroyed, Katashniel is exposed. Just when we thought that was the end of it, all hell broke loose with multiple explosions going off in the city, leaving Andre to wonder if this was a failsafe plan happening everywhere.
If that wasn’t bad enough, something is happening to Brian and Raphael after they each devoured the souls of the shamans. Both men slipped into a darkened abyss as soon as the last drop of cum left their cocks once their Agotos finished their meal of demon souls. I guess the only real good news that happened without consequence was Andre and Raphael finally realizing what each meant to the other and working out their issues in one hell of a bed romp. Yeah, it was hot enough to set your kindles on fire. I’m not responsible for exploding kindles, so don’t be trying to send me any bills. LOL.
I hope you are all ready for this final wild ride.
CHAPTER ONE
Andre
My heart was pounding inside my chest as I looked at all the chaos going on around me. Another explosion happened a block away, the sound rocking through my entire being, shocking me to the core. I turned to see the building collapsing onto itself like a house of cards. A humongous cloud of dust filled with debris surrounded the area. The whole city, from what I could tell, looked like a fucking war zone. I didn’t know how many people were inside that one building when it fell, but it was just one of at least six. Car bombs were going off as well. Down the street, I could see a fire hydrant had exploded and water was gushing up like a geyser. That had to be taken care of if the fire department was going to put out the fires. My nose tickled with the smell of charred flesh, ash, gasoline, and blood. I could almost taste it as everywhere I looked, there was chaos.
There was no telling how many would survive this attack. Everywhere I turned, people were screaming in terror and running for their lives, not even knowing if there was a safe place to run to. So many were injured and bleeding, some with body parts missing. Many struggled to help others, and all I could feel was rage burning deep inside of me that demons would dare to cause such destruction. I also felt anger that I couldn’t stop it, that I hadn’t been able to prevent it. God, I’d never felt as helpless as I did at that moment. Where should I go? What should I do?
“Andre!” I heard my name being called out above the loud sirens, screams, and crying people.
I turned to see Lord Nakai running toward me, her sword still in hand. “What do we do?” I asked her.
She snarled, but I knew it wasn’t at me, because she was looking around as if trying to figure out our next move. “This was a perfectly planned attack; one I would have proudly orchestrated in the name of our king had he desired such mayhem.”
Okay, I hadn’t been expecting her to say that shit, but I shouldn’t have been surprised. She was a warlord demon. This was her kind of thing. That also meant I hoped she had a solution. “Do we help the people?” I asked, hoping to get some direction from my superior.
She turned to me then, her eyes studying mine. “It is what our king would demand. This was a direct attack against him. We, his army, must show our own force. Save as many humans as you can,” she said, then vanished.
That was all I needed to hear to get my bearings. I teleported to the first building I had seen implode. The area was filled with so much smoke, ash, and dust, it was even choking me. I coughed to clear my airway. I knew I wouldn’t die from it, but the taste of the chalky debris was still terrible on my tongue. People stumbled past me, their faces covered in dust, giving them a zombie-like appearance. Some were bleeding and others were just dazed and wondering what was going on. I pressed forward toward the rubble and listened for any sound I could hear. Police and firefighters were already on-site trying to remove the debris so they could save those who were still breathing.
I knew it would take hours, maybe even days to get through all this, even with the right equipment, which was what they didn’t have. I guessed that was where I could come in. I walked over to a group of police and firefighters struggling to lift a large slab of concrete off a victim who was trapped underneath. The man was moaning in pain and begging for help.
“Let me,” I said, pushing past them to grip the slab with both hands. I lifted the slab, which had to have weighed at least a ton, with ease, shocking the humans around m
e.
“Jesus Christ,” one cop gasped. “You’re one of them!”
“I am, but I’m here to help. I’m not a part of this. Now, stop gawking and get the guy,” I said as I held the slab above my head, giving them enough room to get in there and free him from the other piece of concrete that had his legs trapped. He was covered in dust and blood, and I didn’t know if he would live, but I hoped so. Once they freed him, I tossed the slab out of the way and began climbing the rubble and removing more pieces, not waiting for anyone’s permission.
The good thing was, no one was trying to stop me and with us working together, we were making better progress. An hour passed as we worked through several levels of wrecked steel and concrete. My chest was heaving as I removed another heavy steel beam that was blocking several more victims who were stuck in one of the many air pockets. I had mad stamina, but I still needed to rest. And after I put the beam to the side to give the rescuers room to move forward, I had to take a break. I was thirsty, but thanks to the souls I had sucked down, I wasn’t hungry.
“I will take over from here.”
I turned to see another demon standing behind me. Damn, they were slick, because I wasn’t easy to sneak up on. I also didn’t know this demon, but I could sense he was part of Adriel’s kingdom. Not only that, but his aura was green, which meant he was a pure demon. He looked like your average guy; Hispanic, attractive, and completely unassuming. There was also something else I noticed. I wasn’t so sure before when I fought the demons in the sewer, but I could put two and two together now. I must have gotten more powerful because the auras I was seeing seemed to have a higher level of brightness to their glow. And I knew instinctually, the brighter the aura, the more powerful the demon.
This demon’s aura was bright as hell, and I wondered if he was a knight. “Are you a knight?” I decided to ask.
He nodded. “I watched you remove that beam and it seems that you are as well. Our king requires his most powerful knights to be on the frontlines, proving to the humans that we are still here to help them. Perception, right now, is our main concern.”
“Yeah, I get that, but I also want to save lives,” I said.
“That goes with the perception,” he said, then walked past me toward the building and without even touching any of the debris, he raised his hand and several large chunks of concrete and steel elevated from the mass of twisted mounds and everyone who could see it, gasped. A few even passed out, while others stared in shocked silence, their mouths agape.
The knight moved the pieces to the pile I had been building at a much slower rate, then continued to lift more and more chunks. There was so much chatter going on amongst the witnesses, I couldn’t make out one conversation from the next. All I knew was if perception was what King Adriel was concerned about, he knew what he was doing by sending his most powerful to make a show of their abilities.
I had no doubt that this demon, physically, was more powerful than I was. My strength came in the form of my Agoto and its ability to suck a soul right out of a body. But toe to toe, hand to hand, I was no match. I wondered what kind of demon he was. Several demon species could use telekinesis as their power. Now wasn’t the time to ask such things, so I decided to go elsewhere. The media were everywhere, now that the bombings seemed to be over. I passed several reporters with their cameramen, but kept my head down avoiding their questions. I really didn’t want to be interviewed.
I stopped to help several people who had been trapped in their cars by falling debris. The police, paramedics, and fire departments were stretched so thin all over the city, they couldn’t be everywhere help was needed because it was needed everywhere. I knew that now. Katashniel would want to cause as much chaos as he could. Hell, it was in his very nature, fucking chaos demon. I could see what that really meant. That shitstorm he had created after he’d released himself from hell was nothing compared to this. I wanted that motherfucker deader than dead for what he had done.
Andre, we need you, come to us. I paused midway through ripping off a smashed-in door when I heard Isabella’s voice penetrate my mind. It was almost like a whisper, nothing like the call I received from my mates, but I got the message. I also knew where to go. I finished ripping the door off, turned, and saw a camera right in my face. Damn it. Well, fuck it all. Everyone at my office knew I was a demon anyway. Might as well show them how awesome I was. I tossed the ruined car door aside, turned back around, and gently pulled the lady to safety.
“You’ll be okay now,” I said, trying my best to help put her at ease.
“What happened?” the woman asked as she clung to my arm, her fingers leaving bloody streaks down my flesh.
“The city was attacked,” I told her, then carefully removed her hand from my arm so when I teleported, she wouldn’t be going with me. “I have to go help others now. You’ll be okay,” I said. I wasn’t so sure of that, hell, I wasn’t a doctor, but she needed to hear it. That much I knew. She nodded and I did my vanishing trick in front of whatever news camera and station that was present. I’d already been filmed and photographed doing shit regular people couldn’t do, so fuck it. I materialized in the exact location Isabella had summoned me to.
“It’s about time you got here,” I heard her say loud and clear before I even had a chance to look around at my new surroundings. “You look like hell.”
“I almost feel like it,” I replied.
I turned to see her approaching me. She grabbed my arm forcibly and dragged me off into another room. I looked around as best as I could and noticed I was in some penthouse, posh as hell, and filled with all sorts of expensive things. I was all impressed with what I was seeing until I entered the living room only to see both of my lovers lying unconscious on the sofa with Vahiel standing over them.
“What the fuck? What’s going on?” I asked as I as I snatched my arm from Isabella and ran over to where my mates lay.
“I need your blood,” Vahiel stated.
“What?” I asked, still confused, because I didn’t know what the hell was going on.
“Andre, they were cursed by the shamans they killed. Ade, Raphael, and Brian are dying, their very souls under attack and the souls of their Agotos. If their souls are destroyed, the shamans they fed on will take over their bodies. I need to counter the spell in order to save their lives. I only hope your blood is strong enough. We may still need Nasini.” Vahiel turned to Isabella. “Try again to get her here.”
“She wants to come, but our king needs protection,” Isabella said.
“Fuck,” Vahiel cursed.
I knew this was serious even before being told how serious it was. I’d never seen Vahiel, who was normally calm, cool, and collected, this agitated. I placed my hand on Brian’s cheek, and it was room temperature as if he was a corpse cooling down, going into rigor mortis. Jesus Christ, how the hell had this happened? I knew I had felt something off, twice, but since I could still feel them, I hadn’t panicked. Now, I wished I had panicked.
Vahiel’s cell rang and he answered it immediately after one ring. “My Liege… yes… thank you,” he said, then ended the call. He looked at me, placing his hand on my shoulder. “I need your blood.”
“Oh shit, yes. Anything.” I looked at Raphael and my heart sank. How could a being so powerful be so vulnerable? This wasn’t supposed to happen, not to either of them. What kind of spell had those shamans used and would Vahiel be able to counter it? Was there still enough time? If not, what would I do without them? Could I even find other mates… would I want to?
I held my arm out toward Vahiel, exposing the veins for him to extract my blood. “Take as much as you need, I don’t care.”
“I need it from your Agoto, Andre. The blood from the heart of your Agoto, and it’s going to hurt like a motherfucker, trust me.”
I wasn’t looking forward to anything hurting like a motherfucker, but for Brian and Raphael, I’d do whatever needed to be done. Suffer whatever pain. “Okay, how do we do this, then?” I asked.
Vahiel walked over to the table and I saw some jars and bottles set up like he was already working on a spell. There was one jar with blood already in it. I supposed that was Isabella’s. He grabbed a knife that looked wicked as hell and sharper than any blade should be. He held it up for me to see, the silver shining in the sunlight gleaming in from the window. “I need to pierce your chest and heart with this, drain your blood from you and your Agoto.”
I didn’t bother to question him further, because there was no telling how much time we had. I just ripped my t-shirt off, letting the shreds of fabric fall from my torso. My chest was exposed for the bloodletting.
Vahiel nodded and grabbed a bottle from the table. “Isabella, hold him still,” he ordered, nodding in my direction.
“I’m not going to run,” I said.
“I don’t doubt your courage, Andre. But this will be extremely painful and I don’t need you thrashing about, wasting blood,” Vahiel explained.
Okay, yeah, that did make sense. I nodded and steeled my shoulders for what was to come. I felt Isabella come up behind me, bracing her hands on my shoulders. I didn’t doubt that she was strong enough to keep me in place. She was centuries older than Raphael, and he could kick my ass without even trying. If I was honest with myself, I was kind of turned on by that fact… his strength and power over me. Damn, I must have still been under the effects of the Oasis pool, because I kept admitting shit to myself I had been denying otherwise.
I just knew he better not die, him or Brian. I closed my eyes, because I didn’t want to see the moment when Vahiel would stab me, but I sure as fuck felt it. A pain unlike anything I’d ever experienced shot through my entire being and I cried out, but the sound of my scream was so foreign to me. Demonic, like the Agoto inside of me was crying out too. My back arched, but Isabella’s strong grip on me kept me on my knees and in place.
