Ridge: Great Wolves Motorcycle Romance Page 14

by Blue, Jayne

It was understated with a touch of vava voom, that’s what Terry said when she saw it.

As we walked to Polish Wedding, I looked out at the street, Stickney Forest was alive with people, shopping, eating, grabbing a coffee at the new cool place that just opened up. And that didn’t count the ones that were inside, waiting for me. My friends, my family, and bikers, a whole lot of bikers.

Dzia handed me off to my Dad, the whole family had flown in to be with us today.

“You take it from here, Albert,” Dzia said to my Dad.

“Hey Dad, your flight got in just in time.”

“I would have walked from Florida if they’d have delayed us one more time. You look, beautiful honey.”

  “Thank you.”

  “Ready?”

“I am.” I squeezed his arm.

The double doors opened to Polish Wedding, and I heard a gasp. I gasped myself at how gorgeous the room looked. The high beamed ceiling was draped with lights. The exposed brick interior contrasted with the white chairs and runner. The floor, oh I loved the distressed wood floor!

On the left side, my sweet friends, my family, my sisters, it was so good to see them all.

The right side, was, uh, overwhelming.

There dozens, and dozens of members of the Great Wolves M.C. standing, watching me walk down the aisle, smiling even. Some I recognized, some I didn’t. I got a quick glimpse of patches that read Emerald Coast, Grand City, Southwood, and towards the front of my walk was the entire, expanding, Great Wolves Chicago contingent.

Then my eyes fell on Ridge. And I choked back a swell of emotion. I saw nothing else but him from that moment on. We could have been married at the courthouse or in a barn. Nothing mattered but the man at the end of this walk.

He was there, tall, broad, beautiful. His strong jaw quivered when we locked eyes.

He nodded at me, it was okay, he would take my hand, my heart, my home and hold them all in the shelter of his arms.

I smiled at the beautiful people we had in our lives, and then my Dad kissed me on the cheek and put my hand in Ridge’s.

“You’re wearing a tux!” I whispered to him, I told him to just be comfortable, and here he was, along with his bridal party, in tuxedos! They looked gorgeous, every one of them, but none as beautiful to me as Ridge.

“I can’t believe how lucky I am,” he said and squeezed my hand.

I felt the exact same way.

“You, my friend, have excellent taste,” Sawyer said as he returned Frankie to me after a spin on the dance floor.

“Truth. Nice polka moves there Prez.”

“Ha, yeah, I’m a Polish Prince disguised as a Scottish biker.” He laughed, and Frankie gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Whoa, watch it there Mrs. Callahan, I trust Sawyer, but still, he’s slick.”

“Oh my gosh Ridge, I’m pretty sure Bess would have something to say about that, she’s stunning Sawyer.”

“Yeah, I’ve got good taste too. But I need to find her, or Ryder will start horning in.” Sawyer left my bride to me, and for a brief moment, we were alone.

“How’s the business end of the wedding going?” I knew she was a nervous wreck about that aspect of the thing.

“You know, I was a mess, and then when they opened the doors, and I saw you and all these people we love, I just stopped worrying. I know it was going to work out.”

  “Yeah, no kielbasa emergency?”

“Nope, though Lamont said a couple of the new waitresses are fighting over serving Thorn and Brogan.”

“Are they acting up? Do I need to cut ‘em off? I’ll crack heads, so help me if they start a fucking brawl at this reception!” Seriously, everyone was warned to be on their best behavior, or I’d rip out their spleen.

“No, they’re perfect, but apparently too hot for words. The waitresses are fighting over who brings them the next course, the next round, napkins, you name it.”

  “Oh, gotcha, fine then.”

I put my arm around her and pulled her in tight. All of a sudden, a deafening amount of glasses were being clinked with the silverware.

“Hurry up and kiss me, I don’t want to replace the crystal on day one,” Frankie said, and I didn’t need more than that.

I pulled her in and bent her backward for the hottest kiss we’d had since we’d said I do.

I felt her tongue flick mine, and I wanted this lovely event to be over, now, yesterday. I wanted to be alone with her as soon as possible.

I tipped her back up to her feet.

“Whoa, Old Lady, that was a spicy kiss for this upstanding event.”

“Yeah, well, I hate this thong I’m wearing, and all I can really think about is you taking it off me.”

  “Shit, can we leave?”

“We’ve got the cake to cut, a few polkas, and then the dollar dance, and uh, no, I guess not. Not for a while yet. Besides, I love meeting your people.”

“Fine, fine, but the minute we get out of here, I will be taking that thing off with my teeth.”

“Oh, I can’t wait.” She gave me the dirtiest look. Sawyer was right; I did have good taste. A second later she was swept away again, this time by Steel and his girl Darby, and then Ryder and Jules pointed at me, and something was hilarious. I squirmed in my tuxedo.

Man, I missed those guys, but in the last year, Thorn, Kase, Brogan and I had gotten close. I relied on them for so much, because so much had to be done, and they came through. Every time.

I felt it happening, the formation of brotherhood with this crew. It was getting stronger each day. When it came time to decide on who to stand up with me, it was hard. I wanted my GWGC boys, but I also was tight with my new chapter.

Sawyer let me know what to do, I chose a mix of Great Wolves Chicago and Great Wolves Grand City, I combined my old club with my new one. And punished them all equally by making them wear tuxes right along with me.

There were tough times ahead, but I knew, without a doubt, that my Great Wolves Chicago brothers would all take a bullet for me, and me them. And we may well have to before it was all said and done.

But Stickney Forest was on the way up, and so was my Frankie. No matter how high she flew, I knew the GWMC and me had her back.

I was a lucky fucking son of a bitch.

  Frankie

It was late when we snuck out. The party was still in full swing though. Polish Wedding was not only a great place to throw a wedding, but it also rocked the reception. I was exhausted, and so damn happy.

We snuck out the back of the hall, and into the alley. No fanfare, no long goodbyes, it was time for Ridge and me to be together. I needed it.

He helped me climb onto the back of his bike, and we rode, my peep toes and satin wedding dress had to have made a strange sight for anyone who saw us at this late hour.

We road for a long stretch and wound up at a campground in the pitch black of the night.

  “Uh, what’s up?”

  “Come on.”

My honeymoon was a total surprise to me. I wasn’t involved in the planning and didn’t want to be. I’d had enough of planning and details and fussing. I let Ridge decide whatever he wanted. I got off the bike, and he guided me to a gigantic RV.

“Whoa, it’s like we’re going on a world tour!”

“Not exactly, we’re going to drive out west and back, national parks and shit.”

“Oh my god, I LOVE IT!” I had always wanted to see nature, to be somewhere exotic that wasn’t the city. I’d grown up in the city. To me, RVing to the National Parks was like a going to Fiji or the moon.

“And I’m even going to do the cooking.”

  “Oh, Ridge, this is perfect.”

He opened the door to the RV and then hopped down and swooped me up.

“You don’t have to do the threshold thing; I mean we’re living above the bar.”

  “I don’t care, I’m doing it anyway.”

Unfortunately, we were too wide to make it through the door that way, so he hoisted me over his shoulder.

I squealed as we squeezed through the door and into the RV.

Ridge deposited me on a couch as I tried to get a good look at our rolling honeymoon suite.

“What do you do with your bike?”

  “Tow it.”

“Oh. There’s a bathroom and shower in here?”

“The whole nine yards. And there’s a nice big bed back there too.”

  “Oh, good, I’m beat. G’night.”

Ridge grabbed my face with his hands and kissed me, hard.

“Oh, maybe I’m waking up a little.”

“I know I am.” Ridge kissed my neck and then lower, my collar bone, and lower. He slid the hem of my dress up and then worked his way to my hips with his hot kisses.

“There it is.” He said, and before I could ask what he was talking about, I felt the scrape of his tongue on me, and he used his mouth to hook the strap of the tiny thong. I gasped and felt myself rocking my hips toward him. And then it ripped away from my body and Ridge popped up. The thong now dangled from his white teeth. He’d never looked more like a wolf. He tossed the thong. It landed on a rear-view mirror.

“You did promise your teeth,” I said. I was leaning back on the couch. He paused for a moment, and we locked eyes.

“You’re so beautiful. But you’re so strong, that’s the stuff.”

“I fucking love the shit out of you,” I said, remembering when he’d said it to me, in the very beginning.

“I fucking love the shit out of you too.”

Then Ridge leaned down, and I reached up. We kissed, long and slow. He lifted me up again, and he put me down on the massive bed at the back of the RV.

Slowly, he peeled my satin wedding dress off, and I got rid of the tux to reveal my hard muscled, tatted up, sexy beast of a husband.

Husband? I could not believe it!

“Mine,” I said and placed my lips on his chest. I could eat him up.

“Old Lady.” He said back and wrapped me in his strong arms.

I knew he would do everything in his power to love me and take care of me. And I had promised the same. There was no other man who could come close to this one.

  My husband.

The RV started rocking and kept on rocking until the sun came up.
