As Fish pulled into a residential neighborhood, she frowned. What the hell, were they going to meet someone? Shit, she hadn’t even taken a shower, only washed the blood from her arms and face. For all she knew, she still had a splattering of blood on her shirt. Too late to check that. What was Fish thinking? She knew his boots had blood splatter on them. Fuck, how were they going to explain that? She was lost in her thoughts as Fish pulled into the driveway of a nice bungalow. She searched and knew the backside had to have access to the beach, it was right there on the water. Whoever lived here had chosen their property well. There was enough room between houses that they actually had privacy. Fish reached up and pulled out what looked to be a phone and typed in something. She waited, wondering if he was letting the owners of the home know they were there.

Fish looked over his shoulder and nodded to Doc as he motioned for her to follow him into the garage that was opening. She frowned but followed. When the door closed behind them, she turned off her bike and slid off the seat. She pulled off her helmet and hung it on the handlebars of her bike and shook out her hair. They had been riding long enough it was sticking to her skull, which always felt weird.

“What are we doing here?” she asked and then motioned with her head to the car parked on the other side of the garage. “Whose place is this?”

Fish finished securing his bike and then turned to her and said, “The General’s.”

She glared at him and said, “He is at the compound, so why are we here?”

“We need to talk somewhere away from the club, so I asked him to use his place until we get this shit sorted,” Fish said calmly and then walked to her, grabbed her hand, and pulled her behind him as he went through the door to the house.

This was so not okay, she thought and pulled back on his hand. He didn’t even look over his shoulder, he just tightened his grip and dragged her through the house. She didn’t even look at the charming interior of the house. Later, when she actually explored the place, she would notice the little things that made this place feel warm and welcoming.

“Hey,” she snapped as she pulled back harder, and finally Fish reached a living area, and he turned and stared at her, but refused to let go of her hand.

  “What?” he said gruffly.

“Once again, let me ask, why the fuck are we here? We talked already; we know where we stand. Conversation over,” Doc growled.

“No, we didn’t talk, because if we did, you would get that I am not giving up my kid, nor you,” Fish said, and Doc rolled her eyes.

“Yeah, yeah, I get it, you don’t want to be a dick and act like a sperm donor, I get how that would ruin the whole rep you have going on.” Doc sighed. “Let’s be real though; you have a grandkid coming, there is no way you will be able to divide your time and money between the two of them. And sorry, I will not accept anything less than full support of my kid. No problem, I have my girls, I have plenty of money, I am good. I didn’t ask you to be a part of this, I know it was a shock to hear it from Shadow, and for that I am sorry. But from here on out, you are clear. None of the girls or Shadow will treat you any different; we can be civil about shit.”

Fish looked at her and then burst out laughing, at her, laughing, she thought and glared at him. Really? This was how this was going to go? She didn’t see anything fucking funny about this situation. She was working on getting her mad on when he stopped laughing and stared at her blankly and said slowly, “That was kinda funny, didn’t know you were a comedian on the side.”

Doc exhaled and rubbed her free hand down her face, and she said, “Okay, let’s figure this out.”

Fish nodded and then said, “Baby, there is nothing to figure out, when it comes down to it, I am claiming you and my kid. So really this is for you to realize it is happening, not to talk.”

Doc put her hand on her hip. “You don’t know me,” she said with a clipped voice. She really hoped it conveyed to him that he had no chance of knowing her either. They had a one-night stand, that was it.

“Don’t worry, before we leave here we are going to know each other just fine,” Fish said smoothly and then pulled her to the couch and sat down and leaned back looking relaxed and shit. Whatever, she thought, she could be a cool customer just as well.

“Cards on the table. I don’t want to be claimed by any man, hell, I didn’t even think I could have kids anymore, with all the shit we went through in the service, the injuries, I figured my shit wasn’t working anyway. But it is, and at first, I freaked, but then I was kinda happy. Now, just because that is where I am, doesn’t mean…” Doc started, and Fish interrupted before she got a full head of steam.

“Did I not make myself clear? I am not a man who changes his mind much. Now, I explained about Harmony; her momma screwed me over and huge. It made me really leery of getting involved with anyone for more than one night. But Harmony is grown, and I feel like I did a right fine job with her.”

Doc nodded. “I know, I remember, but I am not her, and my kid is not Harmony.”

“Our kid,” Fish corrected and Doc looked at him confused.

  “Huh?” Doc said.

“You keep saying ‘my kid,’ it is ‘our kid,’” Fish said, and Doc narrowed her eyes.

“Really? That is all you have to say?” Doc said, and Fish shrugged.

“Not much else to say, more like you need to come to terms with the way it is. I told you, so it is now up to you.”

Doc rolled her eyes. “I will repeat, you don’t know me. How can you claim someone you don’t know? Hell, I could be a psycho bitch, I could stab you in your sleep, kill some dude, boil him up and serve him to you for dinner. I could be one of those women who are all possessive and shit. Like if someone stares at you I could possibly shoot them.”

Fish laughed and shook his head. “You are a comedian.”

“I am serious!” Doc snapped and ripped her hand away from his. He had been holding it since they entered the house, and she had let him. Now, she needed distance, but damn it all to hell, she missed his touch right when he let her go. Fuck, she was screwed if she didn’t get her head on straight. “You say you want to claim me, but you don’t know crap about me. I know that is not how this works.”

Fish leaned forward and said, “Baby, I am way too old to give two shits about how shit works and how it doesn’t. I learned a long time ago, if it is good, and I know it is good, then it is right. I don’t have the patience for messing around and dating, so sorry if that is what you are looking for. If you weren’t pregnant, I would have considered one dinner, but since we are a little beyond the whole dating thing, I think we are good.”

Doc looked at him with a shocked expression. “I don’t need dating, but I do need to know more about some man who says he wants to make this permanent. You could have bad habits.”

Fish grinned. “Fuck, all men have bad habits, that is nothing new.”

  “I don’t even know…”

“Jake Lenard, nice to meet you,” he said with a grin. “My favorite color is red; my birthday is January fifteenth, favorite food is steak, no allergies to anything I can figure, the last check-up was three months ago when they gave me a clean bill of health other than eating too much steak.” Her eyes narrowed. “But you knew all that because I already told you and I know you remember. Now as for you, your favorite color is black, your birthday is March twenty-third, favorite food is crab, you are not allergic to anything but like to say vegetables for fun, and your last doctor’s visit was five months ago where you were given a clean bill of health as well. Also, you were in an elite unit in the military; your missions were harsh. You love your club and would do anything for them because you are the President, and I have been around long enough to know what that entails. I would never interfere with that because I know how close a Prez is with their club, you are their leader, their parent, their confidant. Everything about that job is difficult, from handing down punishment, to giving out praise. I get it, and I think I can help you by being a suppo
rt. I will listen and talk to you when it stresses you out. What I will not do, is take over anything, I have no desire to do that, nor will I interfere with your job and position. So, that is what I am suggesting, and it is up to you to take it. But I will add, I have never in my life felt the type of connection I had with you. That night, well it was an eye-opener. I have wondered for years about my infatuation with Harmony’s mother, I thought it was for real, but experiencing what I am feeling for you, I realize it was a passing fancy. Don’t get me wrong, I am glad I got Harmony out of it, but in the long run, her mother did not have what it takes to be in a club.”

Doc was silent as she listened to everything he said. He was right, what they shared had been special, she had felt it that night. Even she couldn’t argue with that, but that wouldn’t protect her heart. Doc was logical; things were black and white, which was why she sucked at relationships because most men didn’t get that, they were all about the shades of gray in any situation. She turned and walked to the window and looked out, so peaceful, and yet the tension in this room was palpable.

She felt him come behind her, but she ignored him, lost in her thoughts of dealing with everything alone. She had done it for years, and even her friends knew that Doc never spoke about an issue until she had thoroughly thought about it and planned. It was the way she was, but Fish didn’t seem to give a shit, he wanted what he wanted and now.

“When I was younger my parents were shit; they treated me like a burden they had to bear because they wanted to do other things. I swore I would never let any child of mine feel like that. Children are a gift and the assholes who don’t see that do not deserve to live. So, I made sure I could always take care of my children, financially and emotionally. When Harmony’s mother got pregnant, I was scared as shit, I was still in the military, and with the club, they are the ones who picked up the pieces when her mom left. That is why I never left the club, even when I became a District Attorney. A lot of people didn’t understand how I could be in the Ops knowing what they did and still work in the law. The answer is simple, the Ops do what they do, I know they check people out before they do business, and I also know that they have a very strict code about what they do. I respect them and everything they do, so there was no conflict. I don’t give a shit what others say, I dealt with it in my mind and came to my own decision so if people don’t like it fuck them. Now I will be strictly working for the clubs, any of them that needs me. They are my family, just like you and the Sisters are my family now, you are a package deal, so am I,” he said quietly.

Doc turned and looked him in the eye, “I hear what you are saying, but I don’t understand how this is going to work. I am the President of a club and not the club you belong to.”

Fish nodded. “Yeah, I thought about it already, and I will be in both clubs, I can’t leave the Ops because I have been with them for over twenty years.”

Doc nodded. “I wouldn’t expect you to.”

“Just like I wouldn’t expect you to become part of the Ops, I understand your place. We just need to find that happy medium for both of us. I know we can do it,” Fish said, and she stared into his eyes.

Doc really wanted to believe it would be that easy, but she knew it wouldn’t. If something in the SS went directly against the Ops, he would have to choose. And that was what she knew would tear this whole thing down. She didn’t know the Ops, and she didn’t trust anyone but her club. Hell, she didn’t even trust Fling or the Furies. They may be their sponsor, but they still didn’t know exactly what the Sisters did, no one did.

Fish took another step forward and then reached up and cupped her face. He stared at her intently before finally lowering his head and kissing her like he had wanted to when he first saw her. He brushed his lips at first, testing her, and Doc sighed and opened her mouth just a little.

Fish took advantage of that and deepened the kiss. He pulled her close to him, so they were touching from leg to lips. Doc had to admit she loved the feel of him. Fish was toned, and she could feel his strength by just standing like this. He enveloped her, protected her, fuck it had been so long since someone made her feel like this. Okay, no man had made her feel like this. It was like coming home.

He swept his tongue into her mouth and tasted every corner he could. When he pulled back, Doc was breathless, and her eyes remained closed for a second before she slowly opened them and looked at Fish.

“You are beautiful,” he said slowly.

Doc wanted to roll her eyes like she would have if any other person said that, but she found she couldn’t. The look on his face made her actually believe it for the first time in her life. “It is you,” she whispered.

Fish smiled and then said, “No, baby, this is all you. Strength, vulnerability, passion, compassion, all rolled into one, and it shines from you. Even the badass, that just makes you fucking sexy.”

Doc chuckled and shook her head. “Not sure everyone else sees me as you do. People pretty much think I look like a bitch, that was one of the things my commander told me when they assigned me to the SS.”

He sighed and said, “That was because they were looking for a killer, you had to be a bitch to do what you did. But with me, now, you can be who you were meant to be, and I will take every piece of you.”

She couldn’t look away, his eyes held her and then he bent and swept her up in his arms and moved. “This time it is not gonna be on the fucking ground, I need a bed to do everything I want to do to you,” he growled, and she felt her pussy tighten. Shit, she shouldn’t be so turned on from just one kiss.

He paused at the door to what looked to be a bedroom, and he looked at her. “This is it, baby, I take one step in this room, and there is no going back. You need to make sure you understand that. I am not a boy who doesn’t know what he wants, I am a man set in my ways, and I know exactly what I am asking for.”

Doc stared into his eyes, and she knew she would never be able to deny him, because everything was right there, in her grasp. The man she knew she would love, the child that already grew inside her, and dammit, the club that would never leave her. Fuck, there wasn’t even a question of it, but nothing had ever been easy for Doc, this just seemed, ugh, too simple. Ignore it, she thought and then said firmly, “Take the step.”

Fish grinned and then kissed her hard as he walked them into the bedroom he was consuming her. She felt him bump the edge of the bed with his thighs and then he dropped her. Ripping his lips from her, he growled, “Get your clothes off.”

Doc smiled, the night they had been together, that was what made her aroused, the gravelly voice was so sexy. She pulled her shirt over her head and watched as he pulled off his Harley tee and then kicked off his boots. His broad chest had just enough hair on it to make him look like a fucking pin up. Doc fell back and kicked off her boots, and she heard them hit the floor and pulled her pants until she was left wearing only her bra and underwear and she was kneeling in the middle of the bed.

Fish grinned as he pushed down his underwear and stood before her naked, shit yeah, he was sexy. She grinned and crawled to the edge of the bed and looked up at him with a mischievous look in her eye. She reached out and grabbed his cock, pumping it a few times and pulling him closer. She licked her lips in anticipation, the last time, she hadn’t had a chance to taste him, but fuck yeah, this time she was going to take the time.

He reached up and pulled her hair back so he could see her face, and as he held her hair loosely, she moved forward and ran her tongue over the tip of his cock. She heard him suck in quickly and the hand that was in her hair tightened. Doc grinned and then moved in again, and this time she sucked his head into her mouth while still holding his cock with one hand and then reaching up and taking his balls in her hand with her other. She heard him moan just a little and she knew this was totally working for him. Hell, it would be for any guy.

Fish let his head drop back, fuck her mouth was amazing. She was teasing him, though, only taking in his head and using her hand on the res
t, pumping it tightly in her hands while touching his balls. He looked down, and he pulled her hair back slightly until she looked up at him.

“Stop fucking around, or it will be my turn,” he snapped, and she grinned and nodded.

“Okay, okay, jeez, little impatient,” she teased, and Fish growled a little at her, and she felt her cream pool in her panties. Yeah, she was going to be ready for him when the time came.

He tugged her head forward, and Doc didn’t disappoint. This time she touched the tip of his cock with her tongue and then slid it down her throat as far as it would go, and then she swallowed. FUCK! he thought, reaching out with his other hand he grabbed more of her hair and completely lost control. He began fucking her face, and she seemed to get off on it even more than he was if you took her groans and moans into account. Then the hand on his balls left, and he looked down and saw her slide it into the front of her panties. Shit, she was sexy as fuck, a woman who got off on giving head was like every man’s wet dream.

She pumped her head as he held onto her hair tight, he felt her suck harder with every pass. She wanted his cum, and he was going to give it to her. “Come on, baby, harder,” he whispered and then he felt the hand on the base of his cock tighten, she heard him, he wanted to make sure she understood, though, so he pumped in and out of her mouth, slamming in deeper with each pass, and damned if she didn’t open her throat and let him in. She took all of him; not one fucking woman had been able to do that.
