Kyle could tell that she was nervous about his size, but still so wet and eager. He saw resolve go across her face, and the muscles in the back of her shoulders tensed up as his tip lined up to her entrance. She was bracing herself and he wanted to take her but still not hurt her. So, he pushed firmly, but slowly.
The head of his cock split her lips and she gasped as he shoved the first two inches in. “Fcckk ssoo bigg, godds yess.”
That verbal encouragement was all he needed. It might be more than she was accustomed to, but she was willing and more than that eager. As he slowly pushed inch after inch into her, her moans turned to whimpers, not of pain but of a pleasure she hadn’t expected.
When he was nearly buried in her, she moaned out, “Goddds, Kyle, I’mm so full. Neverr ssoo ffull, fcck mee. Ttaake mee. Ffuck meee. Maakee me yoursss.”
After hearing her pleading, it took all of Kyle’s self-control not to just start pounding himself into her. But he had learned way back in high school that while some girls will let you do almost anything to them, it didn’t mean that they would keep coming back for more. He liked Hilde and wanted her to enjoy this too. That was the secret to making her come back again and again, and one which he prided himself on.
He set up a slow, rhythmic pumping with his hips. Allowing her body time to adjust to him inside of her. To be fair, he also needed time to adjust to the intensity of her pussy wrapped around him. It was like it had been specially crafted just for him in the way that it squeezed down on him. And the heat was unlike anything he had ever experienced. It raised his sensitivity to a whole new level.
His hands took hold of her hips and he began to thrust harder, pulling out of her a little more with each stroke, only so that he could push in again. He felt her hips rolling and pushing back against him as though she couldn’t get enough and bliss-filled screams erupted from her lips, “Goddds yess. Ddon’tt stopp. Ffuck me. I needd moreee. Claim meee. Kyleee, pleasee fuck mee harderrr!”
She was really ramping up as she accepted every inch he gave her. He pounded deeper and harder, and felt her body start convulsing around him. Her wings spasmed and jutted out to the sides as she shivered. Her head pressed into the stair in front of her, and he heard muffled moans, “Ohhhmm mmm fuccckk yesssss.”
He lost himself as he watched and felt her body receive from him. They hadn’t talked about it before, but he just sorta assumed that she had some essence mojo form of protection. Maybe it was logical and maybe it wasn’t, but he couldn’t help it, he just didn’t care. Kyle emptied himself into her. His seed spurting deep into her set off a second orgasm deep inside of her that shook her body more forcefully but more slowly than before.
Kyle dropped forward, his hands planting on the dais one step above Hilde’s head. His body covered her like a blanket, but he was careful not to put much weight at all against her. He leaned his head forward and began to kiss her neck while he was still buried inside of her.
Her taste was not like anything he had ever experienced before. And the sweat on her skin glistened despite the heat of her body. If anything, he would have said that she tasted like fairy dust, whatever that meant. It was just the first thought which came to his mind.
As he kissed her neck, she shuddered and moaned softly before stiffening up. She turned her head back trying to look at him. “Did I not please you?”
“Hell yes,” Kyle said exuberantly. “But I want to make sure it was good for you too.”
A confused look passed her face and she stared at him intently as though she was trying to read his intent for any sign that he was lying to her. “I’m already so lucky that I got to orgasm not once, but twice. Most of my lovers haven’t been able to do even that good. But you are a god; I’m here for your pleasure, not the other way around.”
“You’ve been fed a line of bullshit then, because that isn’t how relationships work. Even if I was some lord or something, anyone that I was with would still be worth all my time,” Kyle said.
“Kyle, you are so sweet, but you don’t understand. You aren’t just some lord or king. You are a god, one of the eight beings that keeps Verden and the associated planes running. You are the embodiment of power and purpose, and I am just a celestial. Even I am not worthy of this kind of attention from you, let alone the mortal women you have been staring at.”
Kyle pulled back and sat on the floor behind her while he said, “I guess now is as good a time to talk about this. I do like Nyda. Something about her innocence and vulnerability entices me. And I feel some strange connection to Marie, even though the few times she has looked at me it was like she wanted to skewer me. I find some of the others attractive in their own ways.”
Hilde interrupted him and said, “Yes, I know. I can sense how you look at Lady Meeka and Kierra, even though the lycan’s fur and tail seem to put you off.”
“See, that is just it. After this, I don’t want you to have to worry that I will cheat on you.”
Once again, Hilde stared at him. Her mouth was almost agape. “Kyle, you’re a god. I’m your servant. It is amazing beyond anything I ever expected that you treat me so kindly. I am yearning for when you can bring me from the void, but not just out of fear of this place anymore. Now, I am excited to stand by your side. You will be so much more than Krig ever was. That is why I gave you that oath. I meant it. My life is yours. If I can play some small part into bringing you to power, it will change so many things about Verden.
“And if my body can bring you some comfort, then that is what it is here for. I certainly don’t have any expectations on you. I’m not your—what was the word you used back on Earth? Oh yeah, girlfriend. I’m not your girlfriend. You don’t have to buy me presents. I am your servant. I am here to meet your needs.”
Kyle was very still. It figured that the first girl since Tess that he made any actual effort at forming a real relationship with was not gonna be into him. He couldn’t help but feel awkward.
The expression must have shown on his face because Hilde said to him, “But please, by all means, enjoy Nyda, and Kierra, and Meeka, and maybe even Marie, although I think you need to make sure of her intentions first. In fact, I will be disappointed if you don’t enjoy them.
“As far as I am concerned, they were all put upon the surface of Verden for your enjoyment. One of the signs of a powerful man in this world is the number of women that he attracts to himself. Just as much as power or gold or land, it is a status symbol. It should be so much more for a god. I’m only glad that you can see that. Krig never could.”
Again, Kyle was quiet. He didn’t know what to say. It wasn’t exactly that his feelings were hurt. How could they be after what he had just experienced? It was more that he didn’t know how to handle things now.
Chapter 27 - Getting Reacquainted
The awkward silence continued on for a minute, but finally Kyle decided to go for it. “And what if I want you to be my girlfriend?”
“Oh, Kyle, you might want that now, but you won’t possibly feel like that after you come into your power. You just don’t know what to think right now,” Hilde replied.
“So, are you saying no?”
“Don’t be that black and white. I will say yes if that is what you want,” Hilde answered.
“I don’t want you to say yes because I ordered you to. That would feed into your view of how this has to be. I am saying I want to know if you would like to be my girlfriend. Not as Ild’engel, the celestial servant of the war god, but as Hilde, a woman who is with a guy,” Kyle said.
“Yes, but it isn’t possible. You will come to understand these things. But don’t worry, my dedication to you is just as great. Even greater perhaps, because I will always remember this sweet guy that you are now, even after you become the war god who does what he has to do.”
“Fine, I don’t wanna fight about it now. I do need to know one other thing.”
Hilde seemed relieved that he dropped the girlfriend issue and so she said, “O
f course, anything you need, Kyle.”
“So, this is kinda embarrassing, but I got carried away there. Not sure if, um, well… you know… if you have protection,” Kyle stumbled over his words as he spoke. It was really a rookie move but the exotic setting, the heat, her beauty, they’d all conspired to rob him of common sense.
A moment of confusion was followed by true laughter from Hilde. “Oh, Kyle, just when I think you have shown so much potential, you remind me of what a babe you are and why you need me.”
Kyle scowled at her. He didn’t know why she was talking to him like that, but didn’t like feeling like he had missed something obvious again.
“Oh, it makes sense in a way, but you don’t need to worry about that. First off, you aren’t here physically. I had assumed you figured that out when you made your armor disappear. Only your soul is here. Look at your character sheet, and you will see what I’m talking about,” Hilde instructed.
Rather than argue with her, Kyle looked at it. What he saw was astounding. Not only did it list his race as deity without mentioning human, but all of his stats were at their max, as was his War Essence. Earth Essence was still at ten out of twenty-five and the other types were still empty, but everything related to being the war god was maxed out.
Under his raw essence there were two listings, and then a timer of sorts under that.
Raw Essence: (Mantle) 137,843,569
Raw Essence: (Construct) 2,462
Drain: (Soul Portal) 47/minute
After reading the sheet, Kyle asked, “What does that mean?”
“You will have to describe it for me. I can’t read your sheet here,” Hilde replied.
He explained, and she said, “Soul Portal is what you are doing. You have created a path through the void and projected your soul here. Even without sending a physical body, it still is draining forty-seven raw essence from you per minute to stay here. If you are still here when it hits zero, then you will be trapped here just as I am.”
“Wait. Based on how much essence I had stored up before I came here, that would mean I’ve been here for over three hours. That can’t be right,” Kyle protested.
“Nevertheless, it must be true. Now, you need to leave as quickly as possible. As fun as this, uh, I think you named it a booty call, was, you can’t waste that much essence to stay here,” Hilde said.
He couldn’t wipe the grin off his face fast enough for her not to see but he simply asked, “Why can’t I just use the raw essence from the mantle?”
“Because you haven’t synced to the mantle. You haven’t made it your own, or shaped it to your will, however you want to think of it. That essence is something you can use here. That is why you are so much more powerful here. With a simple thought, you removed your armor. You could make virtually anything here, but even the essence in your mantle is not without limit and there is no way to recharge it here in the void,” Hilde explained.
“Wait, so I could just have made a bed for us if I wanted to?”
In answer to his question, the thought caused a massive bed larger than any king-sized to appear just a few feet away. Kyle couldn’t help but laugh as he thought about how useful that would have been.
“So, to answer your earlier question, no, there is no concern, because we were not physically together. You will have to gain the skill to summon me to Verden in order for that to happen. Then we can worry about such things, or not, as you wish. Remember, my body is yours to do with as you please. I am your servant.”
“We will see about that. I’m listing our relationship status as undefined at this time. One last question, can I take any of this raw essence back with me?”
“I don’t know for sure, but remember that the mantle is being slowly drained here. You would be better served by simply returning to Verden and absorbing essence there. Hopefully, your practice and experience here will help you become more efficient at that.”
Her statement gave him an idea, and instantly he had the red and gold armor back on himself. He thought about it and changed first his attire half a dozen times, then he made some furniture for Hilde. He hoped it would persist after he was gone and at least make her stay here more comfortable.
Whatever the reason, it was incredibly easier to manipulate essence here. He tried to get accustomed to the feeling of it. Maybe that would increase his skill with manipulating essence when he returned to Verden. Speaking of which, he thought he had better do so. Even a few more minutes were costing him heavily in terms of essence.
He started to focus on leaving but then saw a momentary wistful expression pass across her face. He stepped over to her and took her in his arms before kissing her full upon her lips. She seemed shocked at first but then melted into his arms. Kyle could only hope it was because she enjoyed the kiss, and not because she was trying to be a good servant. He couldn’t help but curse to himself. This was definitely going to be complicated.
Once he arrived back in his cell, he realized that his body had been lying upon the small bed the entire time. He flexed and moved his muscles but actually felt well-rested. His physical stats hadn’t changed at all, but when he looked at his sheet, he saw that he had gained two points in Will, three in Mind, and four in Charisma.
Better yet, his current War Essence rate had gone from 1/second to 3/second. Learning how to handle essence in the mantle must have really increased how efficiently he could handle it here. He even went up to 13/50 War Essence from 12/50. His Earth Essence didn’t increase, but the conversion rate went from 1/15 seconds to 1/12 seconds. So at least a small gain there.
He didn’t feel tired, so rather than stress about having to leave Hilde behind, he sat down and started focusing on absorbing as much raw essence as he could. Hilde was asleep following their encounter, resting peacefully for the first time in three years on the massive bed that Kyle had conjured.
If she hadn’t been, she would have warned him that he was being stupid.
As he sucked in raw essence, he became a veritable whirlpool in the ocean of essence that covered every inch of Verden. Yes, he was sucking it in much faster than he had ever been able to before, but he was also causing ripples. Ripples which someone else noticed.
A few hours spent drawing in essence led to eventual boredom. Kyle was a focused guy, but even he found sitting there on the floor trying to drain the invisible energy of the universe to be anything but exciting. That led to a few hours of sleep, followed by waking up and then some light training.
The one thing that he didn’t notice throughout the day was how the manacles on his wrists and ankles now had small cracks in them.
Then on the way back to his cell. On the way back to the cell, Saber walked with him. “How are you feeling about the match tonight?”
Kyle smiled at the smaller man. “I’m taking your advice and playing to my strengths. I just need to land a solid blow. If I can do that, I think I can end it, but to get to that point, I’m likely going to have to take a good deal of hits.”
“Maybe, but I wouldn’t underestimate her. Anyone who was a direct servant of one of the gods must be more than a one trick pony. So, you may be surprised at how strong and durable she is. To me, the real question is if you can pull out any more tricks like you did with the birds or with Gilthan,” Saber said.
Kyle nodded and said, “I’m less worried about how strong she is than how durable. I don’t expect to get many chances to land a blow but also worry about hitting her too hard. I don’t want to kill her.”
“Yeah, can’t even imagine the kind of trouble that would land you in,” Saber said.
Kyle was feeling relaxed now. He just nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders. “I’m more worried about killing a beautiful woman than about what Soren or anyone else aims to do.”
They walked on in silence for a minute more before Kyle said, “Look, I know you have a job to do, but I still want to thank you for the training that you have given me. You could have made this so much worse
, but this really hasn’t been that bad. I am actually learning to enjoy fighting.”
“Who would have guessed, a war elemental that likes to fight,” Saber replied. He paused for a moment before adding, “I still worry that you lack the killer instinct, but you have at least shown you are willing to do what is necessary with Skrug and Gilthan. Just don’t forget that tonight. Lash is far more dangerous than either of them, and I’m certain she hasn’t shown us all she had to offer.”
“Either way, battle sorts out the winners from the losers. It is a pure test of a man’s mettle and I won’t shrink from it,” Kyle said. The intensity with which he felt the sentiment shocked him, and he was sure that he had channeled some of Krig in that moment.
“Well said, my boy. I will look forward to your rise in the arena, and maybe someday I can tell people I trained that guy,” Saber said before nodding and turning down another hallway as he left Kyle with the guards.
The afternoon flew by. Kyle relaxed. He talked to Hilde a bit, but things felt awkward between them. She kept pushing him to go all out against Marie, and Kyle just felt that wasn’t right. At some level, he felt a connection with her, although it was more like that cousin that you played with as a kid but didn’t really remember.
Shortly after being fed his dinner, Kyle was taken from his cell. He donned his armor and brought his maul out. He headed for the arena. There would be no stops on the way this time. His match was the headliner, and everyone was going to be here to see the two of them fight.
When he walked out of the tunnel, Kyle saw that the dome was in place. The seats were even more full than before. Apparently, more nobles had come and if he had to estimate the crowd, he would have said that the stadium was nearly half full. He saw that the entire arena floor was open and cleared for the fight with Lash.
Saber was already out in the middle and beckoned for him to come out. He jogged out and began whirling his maul overhead. When he reached Saber, the head trainer announced him. At least half the crowd was chanting his name. He wondered if that meant the other half were going to cheer for Lash.
