by K. J. Ramsey

To Ryan, my love, you are more like Jesus than you know. You said yes to a lifetime of suffering when you made your vows to me. And you say yes, again and again, with every cup of coffee you hand me on each slow morning, every grace you give in overlooking my irritability, the steadiness you offer in the middle of my storminess, and your fearless willingness to walk with me into every dark corner of suffering and shame. I better know and trust Jesus because I see his face in yours every single day.

And Jesus, this book is my small offering of gratitude for the grace of your life. To dwell with you in sorrow and joy is a gift, and I can’t wait to see your face. Your kingdom is what lasts.
