The stage was set. Whoever would meet them at the Squalid Waters would be the one owning the twin to Thorik’s prattle box. Although, there were still assumptions being made, such as if they would take the bait, or if they were capable of arriving within the time given.
If no one arrived at the destination, nothing would be learned. The other prattle box could be lost or destroyed just as easy as it may not be opened and checked within the next few days. This scenario would be the worst case, for it left all questions still open.
