Feed the Beast Page 5

leaves

  Now transcends, mind keen

  Confidence appalled

  Then mauled

Not appropriate on the day, or any day

  Rudder less ship continues forward

  What is this life for?

  Can we question?

  Anything except why

  It’s the Black Fly

  Immersed in the Black Dove

Flying high in the dark sky

  Continue

  White horse

  Descending crow

  Black dove

Is it Death, calling from above?

  Time to go home

  Eternal resting place

Above the sky, full of love

  Your time is soon

  Not yet

  Beckoning from the maintained flock

  No more wasted talk

  They may balk

Rise again, from the ensuing slumber

  Rise again, call their number

  Maintain peace

  Keep the peace

  We all have each

  A choice to ponder

  Why wonder

  Angels amuse themselves

Watching the busy elves, entertain themselves

  Confident in their importance

  Their long lasting existence

  Sun soon sets

Brings with it the days regrets

  Ponder the life yet lived

  What will you give?

Anything they say, to continue as is

  Change

Silly boy thinks it will work

  Pampered amusement, no report

What else can there be to resort?

Soaring away with the bad thoughts

  Unexplained, that is still fought

  It never goes

  Time will show

  The true growth

  So bring forth

New ideas to change the course

  Relay the path

  Correct the math

  Prepare the upcoming wrath

Your time is now if you claim

  Forget the pain

Get out, and explore the open range

  Move forward, make your change

  Amend

Contemplating things while sitting on my deck

Remember the first time I was in a wreck

  Not much changes it seems

Even spoiled relations others would dream

Listening to old music from high school

Use to think this band was so cool

Now alone while wife and kids swim in the pool

Waiting again, have to be sorry again

  For trying to live again

Can you go on without me?

  Seemed too happy to agree

  Run away in a flash

  Left reflecting on the past

Met in a drunk haze, back in the glory days

  Not quite opposites attract

But we were quick to hit it off

  It wasn’t always easy

  I was no saint

We had an interesting Canadian date

  But we made it through

  Moved a few times

Two boys who are just my style

  We then grew apart

And not sure if we can both go without

  Keep up the image

  The world is a stage

  Now anything to amend

  Family’s support still depends

  Happiness still possible

Better for it in the end

  Amend Part II

Just a little more time, that’s all we need

Who cares if you have nothing to eat?

You did it, so we need to remind you of it

  Mistakes must be ridiculed

  We rule over you

  Tension builds

  Exhaustion kills

  Never filled

We knew you’d come back to us

You can’t even afford a ticket by bus

So, suffer through this a little longer

We know you were the wronger

  Or is it more wrong

  Don’t know that song

  East some pasta with ketchup

  Then we’ll make up

  Forget about yesterday

We can all get that way

  Time to make amends

  Happiness does depend

On being loved, being right in the head

Let’s look forward to this life ahead

  The rock

The rock shifted, and I lost balance

  Is there another chance?

  Too drained to even dance

Relied too much on the rock, too much weight

  My mistake

  Now stuck in hibernate

  Unable to leave

  Lost all footing

  Starting over with no bling

  Lost connections

  No preparations

  How do you?

  Cut off

  Stand off

  Lost

  Able

  Quickly, but patiently

  Planning out, surveying about

  Thoughtful past, long last

Move on when best able, but stay stable; Others unreliable

Self-made, from The Glade; what is paid?

  Can we stay?

Nothing is sure on this day

Melancholy, watch the passing trolley and the girl with holly

  Appraise, rearrange, clear the stage

  Same words

  Dream world

  Nodding off

  Cooling off

  Straight edge

  Need new sled

  Broken deal, mended heal

  Previous thought to steal

  Confusion, combustion

  Practice with certainty

  Never coming opportunity

  Allowance for misery

  Expect close

The White Rose brings joyful Noise

So be poised for a new beginning

  Will it ever?

  Sometime in the evening

  Paralleled meandering

  Anything worth renewing?

  Awake

  Awake again

  Scribbling

  Channeling something

  What about it?

  What is to know?

Can there be a good show?

  Full on crutch

  Timeless past

  Deep non sleep

  Try to keep, anything real

  Hold steady

  Are they ready?

  Unknown energy

  Misgivings take the stage

  Followed by wasted rage

  Unavoidable truth navigates the maze

  Dark, light

Good, bad; what is in sight?

It seems the journey is winding down

  Soon is vague

  Not much to say

  Unknown play

But at least maybe not today

  Foretold, instant light

  Mid distance, bright

  No need for fright

  Embrace, as you said

  Forgive for what was said

  Return soon, hopeful noon

  New moon

  High Mountain beckons

  Return call, nothing small

  Detective of apparition

  Come to a final conclusion

  Dreamless

  Overseeing the master plan

  Not a careful man

  Origination come into question

  Why partake in this section?

  Doomed reflection

  Time to rebound

  Or is it?

  What will be found?

Ageless journey through the deep unknown

  Assembling what they were shown

Allowing the clown to wear his gown

  Laughing at the musing display

  Nothing today

  Dreamless nothing

  Heading for something

  Wearing the eternal ring

  It’
s time to sing

  Crashing near the dangers

  Unknown sparks fear, angers

  Hold fast and stay alert

  Soon time to exert

  Lasting hope still on Earth

  Flailing hate hold its turn

Not ready for its time to burn

Scorched evil at a sonic yurn

Questioning the motives of both sides

  No controlling the tide

  Whose side are you?

  Speak up

  They’re looking at you

  Appreciate your spot

  Not too hot

  Forgiveness can’t always be bought

  Weaning energy

  Flightless me

  Hope eternity

  Any?

  Hard to see

  Proclaim your spot

Soon The Others will find it too hot

  Abandon what’s left

  To start a new quest

  Is there hope here?

  Tell me deer

Why this place, and the human race?

  Because it’s home

  Too late

  Too much reliance on others

Kicked down, too much of a bother

  Painful pest I am

  Hard to stand

  Lost sight

How long to go on like this?

  Long as needed

  Proved misdeed

  Past desecration

  Wasted recreation

Can there be anyone for you?

  Is it up to you?

  Future bright for lucky few

  But, anyway…

  Not much else to say

What’s the name of this play?

Tomorrow is still a new day

Rise up, it’s never too late

  Don’t test fate

  Well, not too often

  Soul softens, shadow boxing

  Prepare for the end match

Dark one’s catch, prospering in the twilight patch

  Engaged in the fight

It goes with all their might, tonight

Stand tall now, force yourself how

  Can you make it?

  Or desecrate it

Are you a member of the elite?

  Push it; to the limit

  But, anyway…

  Not much else to say

What’s the name of this play?

Tomorrow is still a new day

Rise up, before the end of today

  Young Star

Master of nothing; gained or lost leads to forgotten costs

Encouraged speak from the noble birth

  What are you worth?

  Unfortunates need to sort

  Placate to what they demand

  Anyone can; anyone will

Get your fill, but don’t spill

  Expose yourself

  Both light and shadow

Let them know; the others made a vow

No one will tell you how

  When to take a bow

Let them laugh, let them fear

Confuse the presumptions with un-mistaken clear

It’s gone too far; who do you think you are?

  Brightly shine young star

Before you fade in enclosing dark

What will become of the Forgottens?

  Answers there are none

Go before it’s done, already losing some

  Recycling, trying, dying

It’s gone too far; who do you think you are?

  Brightly shine young star

Before you fade in enclosing dark

  This Dream

  Checking out this new house

Wondering what it is all about

  Exciting days ahead

As long as the dream gets out of bed

Haven’t grown up much all these years

  That Devil loves them beers

And now I’m hoping this dream comes true

The Others have left me only wanting you

We had a good times and I’ll always love you

But, I’m hoping this dream comes true

  We Know

  What’s wrong with you?

  Are you feeling blue?

What makes you think it’s up to you?

  You should listen to us

  We know what to do

  What is best for you?

  Heaven help us

  There’s nothing you can do

  Joyous Occasion

  Did I go too deep?

Unravel a mystery without any laws

Nothing is sacred in this land of make believe and flaws

Who’s mind is this they ask?
