It has been so long since I’ve been touched, so long since I’ve been touched like this, I’m already in ecstasy.
The surges of pleasure radiating from my long neglected breasts reach out to my tingling clit, adding to the desperate need in my groin.
I don’t know how much Daezoth can sense, but there is a strange urgency about him now, as he pulls my tunic up over my head, and my knickers down past my toes.
“You’re beautiful, Chayya,” he whispers, the scratch in his voice sending shivers down my spine. He pulls off his own shirt, leaning over me again to press his lips against mine. “So beautiful.”
I press my hands against his chest, amazed at the smoothness of his skin. He has no chest hair. Does he shave? I brush my fingers over his nipples and he moans, pulling my thoughts back to this moment. He releases my lips to slide down my body and cover one of my breasts with his warm mouth, sucking and twirling my nipple with his tongue.
I tweak his nipples in response, but then he pulls away, kissing his way down the centre of my body, manoeuvring himself in between my legs so that soon his hot breath stirs the hair on my mound, and moments later his tongue presses against my clit.
I close my eyes and moan. It’s been so long. My whole body melts at this one action, and I spread my legs wider, inviting him to continue.
He laps at my clit, flicking it with his tongue and causing me to squirm and moan under him, and then he circles and sucks it, making my whole body jolt.
“Daezoth.” The word comes out breathy, but it seems that’s all he needs in encouragement.
His tongue slides the length of my cleft, delving deeper between my legs, before exploring my folds and ending, again, at my clit.
He works it with his tongue as fireworks shoot through my body, and I feel more alive than I have in months.
I look down at him, brushing my fingers through his hair and causing him to meet my gaze.
“Please, Daezoth. Please, fuck me.”
His eyes widen, but he needs no other invitation, and he makes his way back up to kiss me on the lips again, his tongue now salty sweet.
The head of his cock rests against my slit, and I open my legs wider, grinding against him.
I’m desperate to have him inside me, I’ve never felt more needy in all my life.
There’s pressure, and he holds my gaze, his pupils dilated.
“Are you sure?” His words are breathy, and I nod, all too aware of the tears forming in the corners of my eyes.
“Please, Daezoth. I need this.”
He presses his lips to mine, as his cock pushes inside me. He rocks his hips, slowly and gently, easing his length deeper, and I close my eyes to fully focus on the sensations as his girth stretches me in ways I’ve never been stretched before.
“Oh. My. God.”
He stops, his brow furrowed.
“Does it pain you?”
“No.” I shake my head, opening my eyes to hold his gaze. “It’s incredible Daezoth. I’ve never felt like this before, ever, in my entire life.”
Daezoth’s whole face lights up, and he kisses me again, as his thrusts increase.
It doesn’t take long before my orgasm builds, and the whole ship seems to shudder as I moan my pleasure to the stars.
I sink back into the bed, panting.
That’s when I realise Daezoth has frozen.
“What’s wrong?”
He glances at me. “You didn’t feel the ship move just then?”
My cheeks burn as I admit I thought it was just an incredible orgasm, and it’s enough to bring a smile to Daezoth’s face. “I’m glad you thought I was so amazing.” He nuzzles his nose against my cheek. But then the serious expression is back.
“I think we’ve just docked with the main ship. We need to get dressed.”
I don’t need to be told twice. I pull my underwear on, and slide the tunic back over my head.
Daezoth still has a raging hard on, and I gasp when I see it as he squashes it down into his jeans, bigger than I even imagined with him inside me.
No wonder that felt so good.
I don’t have time for another thought before the door barges open and four huge monsters enter the room.
I scream. I can’t help it. Daezoth shushes me, pulling me behind him, and I grip his shoulders, closing my eyes and pressing my forehead into his back as the images of those monsters dance behind my eyelids.
I don’t know what else to call them. They have wings, massive bat-like wings, and their skin is gold, and they wear suits that slit open down their chests to reveal thick muscle.
I risk a glance, a warbling ‘no’ escaping my lips before I can stop it.
The creatures glare at Daezoth, their eyes a solid black, and the room is filled with squealing and screeching noises as they gesture at me and then him and then two of them have me in their arms and are dragging me up the corridor.
“It’ll be alright, Chayya.” Daezoth calls after me, but they seem to be holding him there and soon the door slides shut between us and my face is drenched with tears.
I squeeze my eyes shut for a moment, but when I open them again I regret it.
I seem to be in a massive hangar.
I twist my neck to see if I can see Daezoth’s ship, but the monsters are too wide and too high and too strong, and all I can see are rows of bright lights above us and an otherwise empty room.
They take me through a door and down a dim corridor, and before I know it I’ve been thrown into another room, about double the size of my room on Daezoth’s ship, with only a single bed in the back corner, and a small metal bucket.
One guess what that’s for.
I spin as soon as they release me, but it’s too late, the door slides shut after them and no amount of pressing against it makes it slide open.
I sink to my knees, and press my fists against my forehead.
What’s going to happen now?
Chapter 15
Daezoth tried to tell me there were aliens.
I didn’t believe him. I didn’t take the time to learn anything about them. What could he have told me?
For all I know they eat human women. Maybe that’s why there are no human women aboard the ship. That’s what he said, isn’t it? A skeleton crew, no families, no women.
My chest constricts and I bash my fists against the door, screaming to be let out. The sounds seem muted even to me, just the quietest thud as my fists hit the cold metal, my screams echoed back at me.
I don’t know how much time passes.
I try sitting in complete silence, but I can’t hear anything beyond the room. For all I know I’ve been locked up here and abandoned.
What did Daezoth know about these creatures? He said it was risky bringing me back here, that they wouldn’t like it.
But what does that mean?
He said he knew if he left me on Earth I’d die, so surely there’ll be a lesser consequence? But maybe the certainty that I would die outweighed the possibility that I could die, and he decided to take that chance.
I pace the room, wishing I could plan an escape, but I’m not even certain which direction Daezoth’s ship is in, so even if I could find a way out of this prison I’d probably take a wrong turn and end up captured and back here again. Or worse.
Even if I avoided getting caught, I’d probably still get lost before I found my way back to the hangar.
When I exhaust of pacing I slump onto the bed.
If Daezoth had left me to the zombies, I’d be dead by now. It might’ve been a painful way to go, but it would’ve been over quickly. Would that be better then being locked up awaiting death?
Who knows what these aliens will do to me, will do to us?
I think of the stories I’ve heard about alien abductions. I always laughed at them in the past. What nonsense! But what if they were right?
An image flashes through my mind of an old television show my friends and I had laughed at, of someone describing being probed, and a shudde
r travels my spine. Is that what they’re going to do now? Probe me?
Are they doing that to Daezoth as I’m trapped here?
But he recognised their ship. He wasn’t surprised when they burst in the room.
I stand again, and pace, my fists clenched.
He knew about these aliens.
What was Daezoth’s upbringing. Was he kidnapped from Earth as a child? Is that why he believes he’s an alien? Because I’m pretty certain that’s what he’s been trying to tell me all this time. Can he not see how different he looks to them? How human?
More questions fill my mind. Why did they send him back to Earth? To find a human partner? No, because he wasn’t supposed to bring me back. Was he going to stay then? Was he searching for humans to live with, so he could come back amongst his own kind?
Suddenly the door hisses and slides open.
Before I have a chance to respond a woman is pushed in, a human woman! The door slides shut behind her, and she spins and presses her hand agains the door.
I choke on a laugh.
“I wouldn’t bother with that,” I say. “We’re locked in here. They won’t let us out now.”
The woman turns. “Are you sure?”
“Oh, yeah.” I nod. “I’ve tried everything.”
The woman approaches me. There’s some sort of drawing around her neck. It looks like it’s been made in pen, and I rub at the ring Daezoth drew on my finger.
“What’s your name? I’m Kiranda.”
I frown. Daezoth said there were no other women on board. Then again, maybe she’s been abducted, like I have. Whether Daezoth is an alien or not, the way those other aliens grabbed me from his ship is enough like an abduction to call it one.
“Chayya.”
“What happened to you? How did you get here?”
“I was running from the zombies. I’d been on the road awhile, was searching for other survivors.” I eye Kiranda up and down. She’s dressed in a tunic, just like I am. “Did you have a zombie problem where you were?”
She grimaces. “I did. We had a good group of survivors to start with, built ourselves a pretty comfortable compound.” She takes a seat on the edge of the bed as far opposite to me as she can get. “But we didn’t have everything. We had to go outside for supplies, and the zombies got us, one by one. I was the only one left. Vukre saved me.”
“Vukre?” My eyes narrow. “Is he one of these aliens?”
She nods.
I snort. “They didn’t save me. They’ve…. I don’t know. It’s all too strange.” I rub my forehead. “There’s a guy, Daezoth, he scooped me up from right under a zombie pack. He appeared from nowhere! And ultimately he brought me here.” I risk a glance at Kiranda. “He….” I sigh. “I don’t know whats true anymore, so can I tell you as I believed it?”
She nods, a small smile playing at the edge of her mouth.
“Right. He had a space ship. I thought it must be those billionaires who’ve been talking aout making space travel easy for the masses. He was flying me somewhere safe, away from the zombies. But then these aliens captured our ship, and they brought me here, and I haven’t seen Daezoth since.”
Kiranda takes a deep breath.
“Humans don’t have technology like this.” She gestures to the room around us.
I scowl. “How would you know?”
“Okay. So maybe we do, and I don’t know. But Daezoth, he’s not human.”
My jaw sets. “Have you seen him? He’s as human as you and me.”
She shakes her head. “Daezoth is an alien, like the others you’ve seen.”
“No.”
“They’re all shape-shifters.”
Shape-shifters? Is she serious? Zombies are real, and aliens, and shape-shifters? “No.”
“He was in zombie form, first. And then when he saw you were in danger he shifted to human form to rescue you. And now he’s back in his own form.”
I hesitate.
Kiranda continues. “That’s how he appeared from nowhere. He was in zombie form, mingling with the zombie hoard who attacked you, and he saved you.”
I bite my lip, remembering when he caught me. “I thought a zombie scooped me up. But when I looked at him again he just looked like a regular person.” I glance at Kiranda. “Are you serious? Is this real? Are you telling me I slept with an alien shape-shifter?”
Kiranda’s eyes widen. “You had sex?”
I cringe. I wish I hadn’t said anything. “Is that a problem?”
“Um, no.” She coughs. “It’s just…. Did he ask you to bond with him?”
“Yeah.” I watch her. “He said it was the way of his people.”
“He’s right.” She nods. “You know it’s a lifetime commitment, right?”
I shrug. “I figured I probably didn’t have much of a life left.” I glance at her “What do you know about it?”
She holds my gaze, and there’s a smile in her eyes again. “I, uh. I bonded with Vukre.”
“Oh.” My mind whirls, as I think of those aliens. “When he was in human form, right?”
She shakes her head. “I knew about Vukre, before I bonded with him.” She shrugs, and glances up to the ceiling with a laugh. “It seems like Earth has some sort of inbuilt protection against these aliens, because their usual protocols get shot to pieces.”
I have no idea what she means, and I don’t know if I even want to.
“So where’s Daezoth now? Will I see him again?”
She nods. “Daezoth has been reprimanded, because he wasn’t supposed to bring you back.”
“Yet your alien brought you here!”
Kiranda nods. “He did, but the difference is that he came back to seek permission first. Then he returned to Earth to get me.”
I snort. “If Daezoth had done that, I’d be dead.”
Kiranda’s gaze softens, and she reached out to squeeze my arm. “Don’t worry too much, okay, Chayya? The aliens on this ship have never come across a situation like ours. It’s all as new to them as it is to us. But they are kind-hearted, and they want to help. Just give them some time.”
“Right. And in the meantime I’m stuck in here with no food or water.”
Kiranda smiles. “Let me see if I can sort something out.”
She stands and walks to the door.
“Hey,” I call after her. “How do I know you’re not a shape-shifting alien.”
“I guess you don’t.” She shrugs. “But I promise I’ll organise food, and I’ll make sure Daezoth comes to you as soon as he can.”
And with that she presses her hand agains the door, and it slides open, sealing shut behind her.
I blink at the door. She opened it, herself, from the inside.
I race over and press my own hand against the door.
Nothing.
Is she one of them?
Chapter 16
I slump on the bed again.
There’s nothing else to do now but wait.
This time the wait is not long, and I breathe a sigh of relief as the door slides open and one of those aliens come in, carrying a tray.
My mouth waters at the scent.
There’s a glass of water, and a covered dish which by the smell of it contains something hot and meaty.
“For you.” The alien passes me the tray and I slide back on the bed so I can balance it on my knees.
I take the lid of the tray, revealing something that looks like stew.
Then I remember the slow-cooked beef stew Daezoth was preparing, was it only that morning? This must be it. I pick up the fork and take a bite, closing my eyes to savour the flavour.
Beef stew. I haven’t had beef stew since before Clay and I set off to find what had happened to the rest of the world.
I take another bite, chew it slowly, and swallow.
“This is so good.”
“I’m glad.”
My eyes fly open and I realise the alien is still in the room with me. He’s watching me with those large black eyes
, and I can’t help the shudder of unease that travels my spine.
“Can I help you?”
He tilts his head to one side. “You called for me.”
I freeze, mid-chew, then swallow down the chunk of beef whole, almost choking on it.
The alien gives my back a couple of hard hits, and I wave him away.
“I’m fine, I’m fine.”
I shake my head.
“I didn’t call for an alien.”
Something shifts in the black expanse that is his eyes. Sorrow?
“You called for me,” he repeats, and joins me on the bed, pulling his wings in tight so he doesn’t sit on them.
My mouth goes dry. “Daezoth?”
He nods. “That is correct.”
“Is it really you?”
He nods again. “I was hiding amongst the zombies, trying to find a way to communicate with them, hoping they were an evolved version of the people I saw in all those movies.” His gaze holds mine. “That is my task, you see, to come to your planet, and blend in with your people in order to learn all I can about the culture and ways of the humans. When I found no humans like those on the movies, I tried to blend with the zombies. And then I saw you, and I came after you, and you ran. And so I morphed into a form that you knew so I could meet with you, and speak with you.”
I nod, but inside my stomach feels like it’s been invaded by butterflies.
“How do I know it’s really you?” My voice is small.
Daezoth reaches out to take my hand, closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath.
Almost instantly his body starts to shine.
There’s no other word for it. The gold of his skin gleams, and before my eyes that mop of orange hair sprouts from his head and his skin turns pale and freckled.
When he opens his eyes those familiar blue eyes look into mine.
I blink.
And then I blink again. My head spins, and I giggle, and I push him away, setting the tray on the bed so I can stand. I need to get out of here. I need to go home, but then I remember home is accessible only by space ship right now, and all my loved ones are dead anyway, and then the world spins, and everything goes black as Daezoth catches me in his still-human arms, and lowers me onto the bed, his thumb stroking my forehead.
