All of Me (The Trust Me Series Book 3) Page 24

by K E Osborn

It’s morning and obviously someone else in the mansion is up. So we casually rise, get dressed, and make our way to the kitchen where the noises are coming from. We walk in to see everyone sitting around the kitchen table eating pancakes. They’re all laughing at some joke Chris is telling as we find an empty seat. Aiden sits, and I sit in his lap.

“Morning, you two,” Mom chimes cheerily.

  “Morning everyone,” I say.

Aiden takes a glass and pours some of Nana’s homemade orange juice. He hands me the glass, and I take a sip. Nana comes over and plants a stack of pancakes in front of us with maple syrup, berries, and whipped cream—it looks fantastic. I cut the first bite and put it into Aiden’s mouth. He smiles as I take the next for myself, sharing the stack.

The doorbell rings, and we look at each other wide-eyed. Marissa answers the door while we stay in the kitchen, and she ushers in the family lawyer, Jenson Monroe. I look at Aiden raising an eyebrow, and he looks back at me with the same confusion.

“Mr. Monroe, what a surprise to see you here this fine morning,” Callie announces.

“Good morning, everyone. Sorry to interrupt your breakfast, but I’m here on behalf of Mr. O’Connell.” I look at Aiden who shrugs. “I’m here on behalf of Niall O’Connell,” he corrects himself. “When he was first diagnosed with dementia, he came to me to draw up a new will. His doctors informed him he had fast onset and that he would deteriorate quickly. He was also told that he didn’t have a lot of time to get his affairs in order. I was instructed that under no circumstances was I to change his will even if he requested it at a later date. Niall knew he needed to be of sound mind, and that the deterioration of his brain would affect the way he’d wanted his affairs to be dispersed. I have his updated last will and testament for you to hear,” he declares, pulling out some papers from his briefcase.

Silence fills the room as everyone looks at each other.

“Sarah, Chris, c’mon, let’s give them some space,” my mom says, and they get up and leave the room.

Jenson takes a seat and starts to read, “I, the undersigned, Niall Patrick O’Connell, residing at 1 Burdette Lane, in the city of Mornington Vale, born on June 2, 1950, make my last will and testament as follows…

“I hereby expressly revoke all other wills, codicils, and legacies predating the present will.

“I wish to be buried in the family plot at the Mornington Vale Cemetery.

“I wish to leave assets to the following individuals named hereinafter, in the following proportions…

“To my son, Aiden Niall Patrick O’Connell, born March 22, 1984, I hereby leave to you my business and assets from O’Connell Finance, and therefore leave the running of said business to you, in conjunction with the named business in Tokyo, Japan.”

Aiden nods like he already knew this was the case but glances at me with a weak smile.

“To my son, Killian Patrick Morgan O’Connell, born November 25, 1986, I hereby leave to you my lake house in Valley Springs along with its contents and assets to do with as you see fit.”

Jenson continues, “To my daughter, Brielle Callie Eleanor O’Connell, born January 31, 1988, I hereby leave to you my main place of residence being 1 Burdette Lane in the city of Mornington Vale. Its contents and assets are left to you to do with as you see fit.

“To my wife, Callie Anne O’Connell, born August 26, 1955, I hereby leave you the sum of fifteen million dollars to be placed into your personal savings account on signing of this will and testament.”

Callie gasps, and swallows hard as she scrunches her face like she had no idea that was coming.

“I leave the sum of money deposited in my personal bank account, including term deposits and shares to be divided equally between the following,

“Eleanor Mary Edwina O’Connell, mother, born August 3, 1929, for 25%.

“Aiden Niall Patrick O’Connell, son, born March 22, 1984, for 25%.

“Killian Patrick Morgan O’Connell, son, born November 25, 1986, for 25%.

“Brielle Callie Eleanor O’Connell, daughter, born January 31, 1988, for 25%.

“All funeral expenses and outstanding exports of funds are to be paid by my insurances upon the event of my death.

“I hereby leave a few words to my family.”

Jenson tenses glancing up, then clears his throat and looks back down at the papers in front of him. “I knew something was wrong with me when I didn’t know where I was. The house I was in was empty, no one was there except for me, and I couldn’t understand why. Then I remembered. I went to the doctor, had some tests done, and they told me I had a fast onset form of dementia. I kept it from you all as I didn’t want to admit I was sick.”

We all shift uncomfortably listening to Niall’s admissions. “While I still had normal brain function, I made this will and testament, so I knew that everything would be taken care of in the event of my brain failing before my body. I herein leave these parting words to the people I hold most dear.

“To my mother, Eleanor. I know I have been a hard son, but every day of my life I loved you the way a son should. You were the one who kept me sane through the years, and I’ll always remember and respect you for that. Mother, I love you.”

I swallow a lump in my throat as I look at Nana who has tears rolling down her pale face. Callie puts her arm around her as she also wipes a tear from her cheek.

“To Aiden, my boy… I know I’ve raised you with tough love so you’ll be strong and resilient in times of crisis, and to be the best you can be in your field. I’m sorry for riding you so hard all these years, but I felt with the right push, you would become an expert, which, of course, you have, and for that, I’m truly proud. I know leaving the business to you will only help it grow. I’m the proudest father in the world when I look at what you have accomplished.” Jenson hesitates, rubbing the back of his neck. “But it’s my hope, son, that you come to your senses and do not marry her. Believe me son, it’ll be your downfall.”

I look at Aiden, and he’s scowling.

Well, fuck me! The old bastard couldn’t resist to get one more jab in even after his death. Aiden’s father is still trying to get rid of me from his grave. I smile on the inside knowing that asshole will never get his wish.

“To my son, Killian, what can I say? We’ve definitely had our ups and downs, but just because I don’t agree with your lifestyle choices, doesn’t mean I don’t care about you. Thank you for pushing and making me see the world a little differently.”

Guess that’s not the ‘I apologize for being a moron,’ I was expecting, but Killian seems fine with it.

“To my bright star, Brielle, the epitome of Daddy’s little girl. I know I’ve pushed you to be the best you can. I also know you want to move forward with a career in finance, and maybe once I’m gone, Aiden will give you that opportunity. You were always a bright spark in my eye, and I hold high hopes for you to be successful in whatever you choose to do in life. Look after your mother for me, and spend as much time with her as you can. She loves you just as much as I do.”

I cock my head, that was sweet. I look at Bree, and she’s trying hard to hold back her tears.

“And finally, to my wife, Callie. I know we’ve had many differences over the years, but I’m grateful to have had you in my life. You were never a convenience or a distraction as I so often called you. You were, however, my wife, and I loved you from the moment we laid eyes on each other. I’m so proud of you and how you raised our children, and I’m also proud that you helped me raise them to be the best that they can be. Without you, Callie, my life was empty, and I hope to tell you this before I lose myself completely. I understand that I’m a different man now than who I was when you met me. I let my job become the center of my universe instead of you, and for that, I’m truly regretful. Callie, I will always love you and wish you every happiness for the future.”

Mike looks at Callie, watching her intently to make sure she’s okay, which she seems to be. Her face is st
ern, she looks a little sad, though I’m sure she doesn’t regret her decision to leave Niall.

Jenson places down the paperwork and looks at us. “So, there you have it. Are there any questions?”

I glance at Aiden, who’s looking around the room at his family, but no one says anything.

“Right, if everyone could sign the bottom of this document, I can start getting this all dealt with,” he announces, handing the document to Killian who glances at Aiden for guidance.

Aiden nods, and then everyone goes ahead and signs the document.

“We’re done,” Jenson announces, he stands, then departs as suddenly as he entered, leaving a strange tension in the room. Everyone is quiet. It’s like no one knows quite what to say.

“Who wants more pancakes?” Nana asks, breaking the silence.

Everyone, although a little somber, goes back to chatting and eating breakfast.

Niall might have gotten his final thoughts out on paper, but he won’t have the last word because we get to move on and be happy. And that makes everything we’ve been through worth it.

We walk inside our home and head straight for the shower. Aiden turns on the water, and we step in. The water feels fantastic on my skin and relaxes me instantly. I wet my hair, and Aiden takes the shampoo, lathering it up in his hands and massages my scalp. His fingers are like heaven on my head.

It’s nice to spend time with him on our own. I turn, looking into his bright blue smoldering eyes, and he smiles and leans in to kiss me. He kisses me passionately and pushes me softly against the shower wall. I kiss him back, and my hands run through his hair. Sometimes when people are in pain, they seek forms of pleasure, so I let Aiden seek his pleasure with me.

He moves his hand from my shoulder, slowly grazes my breast, my hip, and then he moves his hand very slowly to my pussy. His cock grows against me while he leans in closer. I shift my hand to his length and use one finger to trace along his hard edges. Aiden’s breathing hitches as does mine when he moves his finger and rotates it on my clit.

I lean my head back against the wall and feel the pleasure rising throughout my body while he kisses my neck. His finger runs circles around my clit, the feeling becoming intense. I move my hand to grasp him and gently stroke up and down his shaft, making him moan. Aiden moves his hand lower until he reaches my opening, and then inserts his fingers, slowly easing them in and out of me.

“Jeni,” he whispers into my mouth as his hips react to my touch. I start to moan as he pushes his fingers deeper inside, using his thumb on my clit. Abruptly, he pulls his fingers out and shifts his hands to my ass cheeks. He grins mischievously as he lifts and then leans me hard against the cold tile wall. I wrap my legs around his waist, and he plunges himself into me, holding onto my weight, using the wall as support.

I moan loud when he enters me. The feeling of the hot water flowing down my front, the cold wall at my back, and Aiden inside me is sensory overload. We kiss while he pushes slowly in and quickly out of me. I hold on around his neck, and my fingers pull gently on his hair. Aiden grips onto my ass tightly as he pushes, his breathing becoming more erratic. The tempo increases, and now he’s pushing in deep, the feeling so fulfilling as he moves faster. Our hips are in motion with each other as he pushes me firmly against the wall. My moans become louder the more he thrusts.

“Aiden, harder,” I moan while he sucks on my nipples. “God, yes,” I moan as he thrusts inside me faster and faster as I grip onto his bare shoulders.

“Fuck, Jeni,” he muffles out while thrusting inside me. His face scrunches in that delicious way, and I know he’s close, but he changes the tempo and slows, surprising me. Aiden moves deeper and gentler inside of me. He obviously doesn’t want it to be over just yet and is trying to make the pleasure last. He moves his head up to kiss me, and then rotates and thrusts. It’s so intense that I feel the heat rise quickly.

“Jeni, look at me. I want to watch you come.” He looks straight into my eyes, letting out a moan while he continues his slow, torturous assault. Aiden rotates slowly and thrusts quickly, picking up the pace while my breathing hitches.

He fastens his pace knowing it will send me over the edge. The heat floods me, and my body trembles as I moan into his mouth with my orgasm. My body shakes uncontrollably, and I cry out his name, all the while looking deep in his eyes.

Eventually, I go limp in his arms, but he holds me tightly and continues. The feeling is so sensitive and overwhelming as he thrusts into me repeatedly. I feel the heat rising again, my back arches, and my breathing hitches. We both moan as he jolts, and I tighten around his cock as he comes hard, and we climax together.

Aiden rests his head in my neck, waiting for our breathing to ease. He gently steps back from me to pull out. I unwrap my Jell-O-like legs from around him and place them on the floor. He holds onto me at my waist while I lean against the wall for support, resting his head against mine. The water is cascading over us while he helps me to steady myself against him. I feel nothing but utter love and devotion from Aiden, and I adore the way he cares for me. He kisses me softly and backs away, pulling me with him under the water.

“You. Are. Trouble,” he tells me cheekily.

  “Hey, you started it.”

Aiden smirks and pulls out the body wash, lathers it up in his hands, and then his fingers are all over me. I smile when he reaches my pussy. Aiden gently washes me even though it’s still very sensitive to the touch, and I jolt a little, making him chuckle, then I return the favor and wash him thoroughly.

When we get out of the shower, we’re both a wrinkled mess. We dry ourselves, get dressed, and then make our way to the kitchen for lunch. We head to the sofa to watch a marathon of The Game of Thrones reruns while he massages my feet, and I end up falling asleep on the sofa at his soothing touch.

Eventually, I wake, and Aiden’s still massaging my feet. I’m so lucky to have him in my life after everything we have been through together. I don’t know what I did to deserve him.

“Nice nap?” he asks, then he kisses my big toe.

Nodding, I rub my eyes and take my feet off his lap.

“I have an idea,” he announces out of the blue.

  “Okay?”

“Come with me.” He stands, and I laugh slightly at his playfulness as we walk out of the house to the Aston Martin.

“So, ah… where are we going?”

  “It’s a surprise.” He winks.

“Am I dressed appropriately?” I ask, as I’m only wearing a little summer dress and some flip-flops.

“Doesn’t matter what you’re wearing. We can buy clothes when we get there.”

“What? Aiden, where are we going?”

“You’ll see,” he says. “Sit back and enjoy the ride.”

We drive for an hour or so until we reach the coast and a sign that reads, ‘Welcome to Valley Springs, Population 248.’ I instantly know we’re going to Killian’s lake house. We head down a long, windy road with wildflowers lining the sides. It’s absolutely, incredibly beautiful. We pull up to the front, and I see that the house is more of a modernized wooden cottage. It reminds me a lot of Nana’s café.

We step out of the car, and I walk with Aiden to the front garden covered in green and white lilacs. The air is sweet and fresh with no hint of noise from the city. It’s utterly peaceful.

I shake my head in awe. “Aiden, this place is amazing.”

We walk around the side of the house facing the glass-topped lake. The house has extended ceilings, so it looks like a two-story house from outside, but when I look through the full-length windows, it’s only one story with a mezzanine.

We stand on the polished deck and peer out over the lake where ducks and their ducklings are swimming playfully. This place is truly breathtaking—a complete haven.

How wonderful would it be to own a place like this?

We walk around to the front door and inside to a very modern and stylish three-bedroom home.

  In the main bedroom, the
re is a king-sized bed with a white duvet and lots of fluffy pillows. I can’t wait to dive into the plush softness. In the ensuite, there’s a giant white spa bath. I walk back into the bedroom from the bathroom and notice Aiden sitting on the bed, gazing out the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the lake.

“This place is… I’m speechless. There are no words,” I gush, sitting next to him on the bed.

Aiden looks at me and smiles lovingly. “I was hoping you would like it.”

“Like it? I love it. I could spend forever here.” I sigh, falling back onto the bed, sinking into the soft quilt.

“That’s good because when you were asleep, I bought it from Killian for you.”

I jolt back up staring at him with wide eyes. “What? Are you kidding me?”

He grins shaking his head. “Nope… it’s all yours.”

“Oh my God, Aiden… this is the best present ever.”

“C’mon, let’s go and get a few things to tide us over.” He takes my hand, pulling me up and leads me to the front door.

We drive into the small town as I take in the sights. “How long are we staying?”

“I was thinking we’ll head back late Sunday.”

I exhale in delight. “Three whole days sound fantastic. I know you’re busy at work, and you’re sacrificing your time, but this is just what I need. Some alone time with you.”

We arrive in town, and Aiden leads me to a small clothing shop first. He picks out some sexy lingerie and some other very intimate items of clothing. “Pervert,” I whisper, then I pick out some jeans and a few tops, plus some clothing for him.

Next, we head over to purchase a few items from the grocery store, including strawberries and chocolate dipping sauce.

These will be handy for later.

We make our way back to the lake house, step outside with a glass of wine, and sit on the deck. This is the most relaxing, peaceful place I’ve ever been, and I’m so glad it’s ours, and that I’m here, sitting on the lap of my soul mate and one true love.
