“Yeah,” he said.
“It’s perfect,” she opened her eyes and tears glistened in pools.
“Don’t cry,” he mouthed. “And don’t look at the people either as they are busy turning into goo,” he whispered.
“Yeah well, I am too.” He guided her through their steps on the song with the title Time after Time by Cindy Lauper sang by a male artist.
It was perfect, and so them.
Jake mouthed most of the words to her, and when the chorus came they did their magic just as they practiced at a dance studio.
Everyone cheered.
Jake even played out the sentence ‘I’ll be waiting’ very dramatically to her through one of their moves before they came together again.
Everyone awed, and clapped.
He was so goofy but she was so madly in love with him. She couldn’t believe that he was hers, and only hers, forever and ever.
She wished him and her sister, Jamie could’ve met and when the song was finally coming to an end they slow danced again, her eyes caught on the doorway that lead to the deck. She saw two figures, watching.
The one had long strawberry hair, and the other one looked like Amelia.
The one waved and the other one blew a kiss before they disappeared.
Holly smiled this time, as the ache of missing both of them was light. She was happy, as she gained that part her twin took back through Jake.
As long as this man in front of her was there, the world could end. She knew she would be fine.
