“Thank you Kevin,” I said kissing his cheek. I knew I didn’t hear the last of the bullshit with Kevin so I had to prepare myself for the back lashing I was sure to receive once I was alone with him, After everybody left my father had a one on one with me and tore me a new asshole in the process, I couldn’t be mad about the shit he was saying because it was all the truth so I swallowed my pride and didn’t say shit. I walked inside my room and notice Ma had to clean it because when I left everything was all over the place, I guess Eddie wasn’t staying there while I was gone cuz none of his shit was out of place. I jumped in an out the shower then laid in my bed I had a lot to think about I felt like my life was changing right before my eyes and I didn’t have any kind of control over it. I turn my phone on and I had a thousand text messages and voicemails I knew all of them had to be from the family and Eddie I open up my text message screen;
Hershey: Bitch when I found u I’m going to fuck u up
Hershey: Diva fo real stop playing n call me
Eddie: Goddess where u at? I’m sorry about the shit I said call me please
Eddie: Yo Diva this shit is not funny no more, where the fuck u at?
Kevin: Diva hit me up, where u hiding at? u got half of Harlem looking for u
Kendu: What’s going on Ms. Diva Hershey thought it was a good idea for me to text u; she said u might answer this text since u avoiding everybody else. Hit me up so I can let ur ppls kno u good ; ) ‘Omg did Kendu Rogers’s text my phone asking if I was alright’ I said out loud
“Yea bitch he texted you but your spoiled ass didn’t text back, wait until you have my god babies I’m going to beat the brakes off your ass and that nigga Barkeem. Y’all had my blood pressure all up, I think my hair started falling out behind your ass,” Hershey said busting in my room I looked at her and couldn’t help but laugh at my best friend
“I’m sorry about your hair hoe, but I think that is due to Teddy pulling it while banging your back out,” I laughed some more
“Fuck you trick,” she said hugging me tight like she never wanted to let me go
“Hersh I’m not going anywhere you can let me go now,” I said she let me go she had tears rolling down her face which caused me to get teary eye
“You had me so worried and scared I thought something happened to you and my god babies, please if you going through some thing let me know and we would go through it with each other like we always do,” she said hugging me again I assured her that I wasn’t going to pull no shit like that again, I told her I was in good hands she knew Bar wasn’t going to let nothing happen to me. I explained to her that I just needed time to myself to relax and think about what I wanted to do with my life after I had the babies, she said she understood where I was coming from; I also told her that I fought Asia. She damn near jumped off the bed nearly burning me with the blunt she had in her hands; laying my head on her lap she took a pull of the blunt and gave me a shot gun she yelled asking me when did all this take place her eyes turned blood shot red she was in fight mode
“Bitch calm down so I can tell you the story, and watch that blunt before you burn me,” I laughed then I ran down everything that happen she was hype and wanted to fuck both Asia and Star up.

CHAPTER 3
Babies Finally
Hershey stayed with me for three hours until the man of the fucking hour used his key to enter my room the look both me and Hershey gave him was deadly, that was one thing everybody knew about us when you crossed one of us you crossed both of us and we didn’t play that shit when it came to somebody trying to play us.
“Goddess where you been?” Eddie asked walking up to where I was sitting
“Eddie save that bullshit for Asia, since y’all nasty motherfuckers was fucking behind my back making me look like a fool in front of everybody. Nigga you think I was born yesterday,” I yelled standing up from the bed, Hershey told me to calm down Eddie sucked his teeth while putting his keys on the dresser;
“Diva you in your moods I’m not with the bullshit. You throwing shit up in my face about me fucking around on you but you up and disappeared for two fucking weeks while you carrying my fucking seeds,” he yelled. Both Eddie and I stood in my room staring at each other both of us had something to get off our chest but I knew he wasn’t going to say nothing while Hershey was standing there.
“Yo Hersh let me talk to my girl can you excuse us,” Eddie said Hershey rolled her eyes at him while grabbing her Gucci bag off the bed
“Wow now I’m your girl you are a real clown ass nigga, Hershey let me talk to this fool so he can get his shit and leave,” I told her, she grabbed her bag from off the bed then gave Eddie the evil eye;
“Get your shit together, D I’m out I got shit to handle and bitches to fuck up,” Hershey said kissing my cheek and walking out the room
“That bitch always got something to say, I swear y’all fucking or something she act like she your man and not me,” Eddie said sitting down on the bed I still stood there looking at this fool like he was crazy I just bust out laughing at his clown ass
“Really Eddie now you my man? The other night I was all these bitches so how long was you and Asia fucking behind my back?” I asked fuck beating around the bush, Eddie rubbed his hands over his face before He yelled out he wasn’t fucking Asia getting pissed all over again it seem like we were having a yelling match in my room I felt the tears in my eyes as Eddie looked at me, I asked him why he have to keep lying to me; that I knew he was fucking Asia and all I wanted was the truth from him. He didn’t say nothing we just stared at each other for what seem like hours but it was only a minute that passed, Eddie finally spoke he said I was his girl and everybody knew that;
“Eddie I haven’t been your girl since we found out I was carrying your fucking kids, nigga you right I’m the mother of your kids and that’s it stop trying to run game on me talking about I’m wifey and everybody know, I hope that bitch can make you happy because I’m done I don’t need this shit in my life or my kids’ lives.” I said looking at him he kept saying I was his life and what he do in the streets are meant to stay out in the streets standing up from the bed with a look in his eyes I never seen before, I just grabbed my phone so I can let him hear what I heard the night two weeks ago when he confirmed what I already knew. Walking to me I pressed play Eddie mouth fell open when he heard his own voice “Yo who the fuck playing on my girl phone I’m trying to fuck,” Eddie had the stupid face, “Close your mouth playa so I guess I’m really the other chick? So how long have y’all been fucking?” I asked looking at him Eddie sat on the bed then rubbed his hand over his face; “We been fucking since you came home from the hospital after losing Jordan and getting shot, Goddess at the time I didn’t know me and you were going to be an item. Asia kept throwing the pussy my way so I finally took it and I still slept with her from time to time, I don’t want her I want to be with you.” he said
“A whole year Eddie? You been fucking her and me for a whole year and you going to sit in my face and tell me you don’t have no type of feeling for this bitch? Do I look like boo boo the fool?” I yelled I felt my body shaking with anger;
“Diva I don’t have feelings for her, men know how to turn off their emotion when they dealing with certain shit and that’s what I did,” Eddie said I felt the babies move so I knew I needed to calm down I looked at Eddie and knew I wasn’t going to leave him, I fell for his lies and bullshit one of many more to come.
I was now eight months, everything between me and Eddie was good just like when we first got together. I really wanted to raise my kids with their daddy something my mother and father never tried doing, I’m grateful god put Mary in my life but that’s not the same as having your real mother and father together. Hershey and everybody thought I was stupid or dumb for taking Eddie back but this was my life so I told them to mind their damn business; Eddie started spending more nights with me at the h
ouse and I couldn’t be happier, we were finally in a happy place where I didn’t have to worry about none of his side bitches getting more of his attention. The night I went into labor was the funniest Eddie looked like he was the one in labor instead of me,
“Eddie my water broke,” I said sitting up in the bed I pushed him to get up, I was trying to stay calm and breathe because the pain was killing me. I was a little scared it was too early for them to come out;
“What?” Eddie jumped up off the bed he felt the fluid on his hand, he grabbed his sweat pants then threw them on with his Jordan’s he told me to breathe while helping me out the bed “Owe!” I yelled Eddie started sweating he looked more scared then me “What’s wrong?” he asked I looked at him like‘really you don’t see that I’m in labor’ Eddie hit the intercom in my room and my father answered “Princess you good?” he asked
“Yo Mel Diva water broke she in labor,” Eddie said helping me with my sweat pants and slippers my father was walking in the room with Mary behind him tying a scarf on her head she jumped right into action. Mary use to be a nurse but she stopped working after I turned five due to an accident at work, she pulled some muscles in her back that prevented her from working.
“How you feeling Princess?” Mary asked me helping Eddie with putting my jacket on;
“Ma I’m in so much pain, daddy please make it stop,” I started crying my father picked me up like a baby and walked outta the room I knew he was hurt because I was in so much pain and he couldn’t do nothing about it. We all drove to the hospital and I was taken straight into labor in devilry my father called my mother while the doctors were putting an IV into my arm. Two days before thanksgiving I went into active labor, I dosed off once they checked me and the babies then gave me some pain medicine through the IV. “Good morning Ms. Woods how we feeling this morning?” Dr. Rogers asked walking into my room followed by Dr. Bacon the next morning around nine,
“I’m hanging in there; this pain is really starting to kick my ass.” I said trying to mask the pain with a smile Eddie was feeding me ice chips Hershey was rubbing a cool rag over my face while my father, mother; Mary and my uncle was trying to stay calm. While looking at me go through the pain of child birth
“Dr. Bacon informed me that your water has broken late last night but I want to try to keep the babies in there for another week or two to make sure they are fully developed before getting them out,” Dr. Rogers said putting on some gloves she put the covers over my knees and told me to moved down some she checked me that shit was the worst pain I felt
“That shit hurt are you finish?” I yelled my father tried to hide the smile and laugh but couldn’t I gave him the evil eye and my uncle busted out laughing
“Mel and Mike get out,” Mary said looking at them both, they looked at each other then walked out together‘thank god’ I thought I didn’t want them looking all in my shit anyway
“Well there’s nothing we could do to stop the babies from coming, you’re already 5 cm five more then it’s time for you to push. I’ll page the anesthesiologist to come give you the Epidural,” she told me removing the gloves from off her hands and grabbing my chart, she wrote some stuff down then stood up;
“What is that Going to do?” Eddie asked looking scared shitless it was kind of funny to see him like that, but I was happy that he wanted to know everything that was going to be done to me.
“It’s a Regular Epidural After the anesthesiologist place the catheter in place, a combination of narcotic and anesthesia is administered either by a pump or by periodic injections into the epidural space. A narcotic such as fentanyl or morphine is given to replace some of the higher doses This helps reduce some of the pain while she is in labor so she won’t feel or have any discomfort.” Dr. Bacon explain looking at everybody
“I’m game if it’s going to take this damn pain hurry up and call him or her I don’t care,” I said feeling a contraction that was getting more and more painful
“How is the Epidural given?” Hershey asked I looked at my mother like‘Bitch you’re the one that need to be asking questions’ I just shook my head
“The anesthesiologist place it into Ms. Woods back,” Dr. Rogers said Hershey eyes widened with fear and so did Mary’s; ten minutes passed since the Doctors walked out my room and a Female walked in with a machine and some other shit I was just ready to get these babies the fuck outta me I gazed at everyone that was present inside the laboring room with me and smiled, I knew each and every last one of them would put a bullet in somebody ass for me; I was in my feelings wishing Kevin could share this moment with me and see the birth of the twins but I knew the chances were slim to none wit that idea, my father and uncle still didn’t know there was a chance that Kevin was the father of the twins that I carried. Mary and Hershey knew what was going on, I had no choice but to tell Mary what was going on before the truth smacked everybody in the face;
“Hi, I’m Dr. Shaw I’m the anesthesiologist that would be doing the Epidural, any questions?” she asked fixing everything so she could start
“How are you going to be able to give her the Epidural?” Mary and my dad asked at the same time, even though my father had me he wasn’t inside the room with my mother long enough to know what was what so this was all new to all of us besides my mother. My aunt Tina gave birth without Medication so uncle Mike was also clueless, Dr. Shaw smiled at us she was a pretty heavy set redbone with curves in all the right places, her sandy brown hair was pulled back into a bun and she had little red freckle’s on her face “Ms. Woods I will be asking you to arch your back and remain still while sitting up. This position is vital for preventing problems and increasing the epidural effectiveness. An antiseptic solution will be used to wipe the waistline area of your mid back to minimize the chance of infection. A small area on your back will be injected with a local anesthetic to numb it. A needle is then inserted into the numbed area surrounding the spinal cord in the lower back. After that, a small tube or catheter is threaded through the needle into the epidural space. The needle is then carefully removed, leaving the catheter in place to provide medication either through periodic injections or by continuous infusion. The catheter is taped to the back to prevent it from slipping out. Anymore questions?” she asked smiling again
“This is going into her spine?” my father asked
“Yes, Mel?” Dr. Shaw asked looking at my father, it seem like time slowed down all of us looked at each other my father broke out in a sweat;
“Brandi,” he said looking at all three woman that was in the room with him
“Wow! Is this your baby girl?” she asked forgetting all about giving me my damn Epidural “Yea that’s my daughter, wow you really became a doctor.” my father said shocked
“Ok and who are you because I’m his wife Mary Woods and this is Tameka his child mother.” Mary said looking pissed Hershey pulled out her cell phone ready to start taping the brawl we all knew was going to happen,
“Since mother fuckers is in here reminiscing and shit, when are you going to get your chunky ass over there and give our daughter the damn Epidural?” my mother asked walking over to Dr. Shaw, Mary stood next to my mother‘Wow these two-standing side by side without trying to kill each other’ I thought
“Please save the drama until after I get the Epidural and have these babies,” I said breathing hard while rolling my eyes at all of them;
“Everybody out the room, Meka, Mary come on.” uncle Mike said through gritted teeth having enough of the circus that was going on in my hospital room, they both looked at him like he grew five heads but didn’t say anything else they knew he didn’t give a fuck he would turn it up in that hospital room.
After getting the Epidural I was on cloud nine, my father and Mary had a heated argument and my mother was shitty also. Both she and Mary wanted to know who this Brandi chick was, I had a feeling my uncle knew something and was not going to say anything. He is his Brother’s Keeper; Eddie mother Tammy came up to the hospital with his fu
nky ass sister but they didn’t stay long. I’ve been in active labor for a day in a half and still nothing wasn’t happening fast enough for me.
“Ms. Woods I need you wake up so you can start pushing,” I heard Dr. Rogers say I open my eyes and everybody was standing up both Eddie and my father was on each side of me holding my hands Hershey was recording everything
“Okay on the count of ten I need you to push when you feel a contraction, push like you have to use the bathroom,” Dr. Rogers started counting and I began pushing after five minutes of pushing Dr. Rogers told me to stop
“What? I need to push this baby out now, I feel it!” I yelled trying to hold my breath it felt like my coochie was on fire Eddie and my father looked like they was going to vomit
“I know it feels like you need to push but I need you to stop, baby B is already crowning I see his head.” she told me. Dr. Bacon squeeze some more gel on my stomach to see if lil Eddie was coming down good
“Ok let’s start pushing,” Dr. Rogers said smiling at me I gave her three more pushes and I felt my baby boy come into the world after Dr. Rogers cleaned out his mouth the nurse took him to clean him up and check him, Mary walked over to where the baby was at “Ok Diva I need you to push out your baby girl,” Dr. Rogers told me, I pushed four times and Fantasy came out crying I lean back in the bed and closed my eyes. Eddie Jamel Christopher Green Jr came into the world at 2:00 am November 25th and Fantasy Erica Green came five minutes after her brother at 2:05. Lil Eddie weight 4lbs 2oz and Fantasy was 3lb 8oz both was 17 inches long. Eddie kissed my head and whispered I love you then walked over to where the babies was so he could cut theirs cords my mother was snapping pictures every second, Hershey still was videotaping every little thing
