Through My Rhymes - Volume 2 Page 3

You Look Good (Smile)

You go through your closet and throw dresses on the bed,

Shoes, underwear and something for your head,

You never questioned yourself until something he said,

Now self doubt creeps in and playing games with your head.

You look over yourself by bending around in the mirror,

If only you were loved by someone who'd hold you dearer,

Now close your eyes and think of me holding you near,

Whispering in your ear exactly what you need to hear.

Please smile, because you look good,

Don't listen to a word, because I knew you would,

Just smile, because you look good,

No matter what they say, I knew you would.

Running mascara from the tears in your eyes,

Mind playing over and over, hearing all of his lies,

Now because of him, it's all men you despise,

You wonder now if he'd feel bad if he heard all your cries.

He's got you rattled and has you filled with fear,

But take a second and bring yourself back to here,

Now close your eyes and think of me holding you near,

Whispering in your ear exactly what you need to hear.

Please smile, because you look good,

Don't listen to a word, because I knew you would,

Just smile, because you look good,

No matter what they say, I knew you would.
