“I’m Stacy,” she said. “I don’t know why, but I feel like we already know each other.”
“We do,” Sara said. “Let me give you my number. You’re going to need it.”
She wrote out her name and number on her receipt and handed it to Stacy. “Give me a call if you have questions about…stuff.”
Stacy nodded and tucked the slip of paper into her pocket. Sara waved and joined her family.
“Well, what was that all about?” Mom asked.
They all glanced back through the falling snow at Stacy, who was watching them through the window of the coffee shop.
“That, Mother, was another banshee.”
