Gerri winked at Vikter. “Your little dragons have some strong personalities from their father.”
Becca nodded. “Exactly. But he wants to complain they’re too hard to handle.” She raised her brows. “Have you met yourself, babe?”
“No. They’re little evil spawns,” he said with a straight face, but the pride in his voice spoke volumes. “They’ve got some sort of sorcery that gets me to do whatever they want.” He glanced at Noah. “They have me playing with dolls.”
Noah snorted. “My girls have me doing tea parties.”
“Are we discussing all the unmanly things our daughters have us do?” Alyx, king of Nova Aurora, asked. “Because my princess has braided my hair and painted my nails,” he frowned at his wife, Bella. “This is all your fault. You taught them that stuff.”
Bella grinned and rolled her eyes. “Cry baby. Come on, let’s dance.”
Alyx met Gerri’s gaze. “You still have a perfect record. When are you going to let us match you?”
Gerri laughed and shook her head. “I’ve already had my mate, dear boy. One of these days I’ll tell you about it.”
Alyx winked at her with a smile. “I’m holding you to that.”
The wives pulled the men into the dance floor while Gerri watched.
Gerri’s heart was full to near bursting seeing the love amongst all the couples and knowing they had such loving and beautiful families. If at any time she’d questioned her job, she didn’t at that moment. Matchmaking was in her blood. It was her destiny, and maybe one day, she’d tell them about her own love story. For now, she would keep it close to her heart.
