To my niece Anna Schroeder, you have been a diamond in my life ever since sharing a bedroom with you when you were a baby. I’ll never forget waking up to that little smile. I cherish our time together.

Writing a book was an incredible journey and more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. None of this would have been possible without all the people I crossed paths with while in Law Enforcement. I want to thank EVERYONE who ever said anything positive to me or taught me something. I heard it all, and it meant something.

  About the Author

POLICE SGT. BRENDA FLORES was a pioneer. One of the first women in law enforcement assigned to patrol, she also created the canine police program for U.C. Davis, training canines in police work and bomb detection. A gifted artist, she served as a composite artist for her department. And she was at the forefront of handling domestic violence and abuse issues while on the force.

A wife, mother, and grandmother who is now retired, when not writing Brenda stays active by working out, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and by enjoying all the activities the southern California sunshine has to offer.

While Brenda now finally considers herself a writer, she dreams of someday venturing out into space.
