Author’s Note
One has to wonder what is in store for Linda now. She has lost her job and her ship. Is another job coming her way or will she enjoy retirement—I highly doubt that. Linda doesn’t strike me as the retiring type. I suspect she will migrate back to Earth to spend some quality time with her folks before looking for another command somewhere.
What about that captured probe? I suspect it will make its way to Earth where it will be studied by much smarter minds. But what will come of it? How can anyone understand an alien culture’s gibberish?
What about the Kracks? Will the council argue amongst themselves until they die of old age or will they come up with a solution to their own alien invasion? Somehow, I cannot imagine these paranoid reptilian creatures standing idle and hoping never to see another alien space craft again. I’m sure they will take steps to keep the pesky prey ships away.
The second book in the Linda Eccles Series is titled The Search for Kracks. How will Linda play into all this? Who is going back, and why? What do they hope to accomplish? The answers are coming soon in paperback and Kindle.
