Abel (Savage Kings MC - South Carolina Book Series 7)

“Please, Abel!” I beg, wanting him inside of me.
“Put her out of her misery, Abel,” Cory encourages from the bed. His arms are propped behind his head as he watches the show.
It feels like forever before he finally lines up his shaft and drives it into me nice and slow, until I’m pulled up on my tiptoes.
“You’re so hot and slick I might fuck all the way through you,” Abel warns me.
“Yes!” I cry out. “Do it!” I need him to move right fucking now!
One second, he’s just holding still, filling me, my arms trapped above my head. And the next, I’m shouting incoherently as our flesh slaps together in rapid succession. Abel fucks me hard and fast, hitting the deepest part of me, taking me higher and higher. As soon as his fingers reach around and press against my clit, I come with a scream of his name.
My entire body trembles from the onslaught of pleasure, the orgasm so powerful and amazing that it’s almost painful.
Abel’s hand on my wrists tighten as he grunts a curse before he suddenly pulls all the way out of me, leaving me achingly empty as his hot seed soaks my ass.
Both of us stand there frozen as we try and catch our breath again.
Eventually, Abel whispers low enough that only I can hear his words. “Are you still mad at me?”
Mad at him? How in the world could I be mad at this wonderful, amazing man?
Oh, right. The vandalism.
“No,” I answer easily. “All is forgiven. Love you and your…impulsiveness.”
His damp lips brush my neck. “I love you too.”
Chapter Forty
Cory
As promised, Selina and Abel stay with me, the three of us piled up in my bed every night, with him sleeping in the middle and them waiting on me hand and foot during the day.
While getting around is painful because of the ribs, at least my legs aren’t broken. I’m mostly just…sore. One place in particular is a silent, painful reminder of what he did after he stopped using his fists. It’s not the first time I’ve been hurt this way, but it’s a little less embarrassing since I at least fought back this time. Still, in the end, it feels like he stole a piece of me that was never his to take.
Abel and Selina have thankfully not mentioned it. I don’t want to talk about it or think about it. I just want to forget. Most of the time, that’s easy to do, thanks to all the other injuries.
The biggest problem I have is eating and doing pretty much anything that takes more than one hand, like getting dressed.
Although, I won’t complain about having Abel help me into the shower and washing me from head to toe while I hold my arm out of the curtain to keep the cast dry.
The photos of Hayworth’s fucked-up car, calling him out as a homophobe, are all over social media, so I can only imagine the football player’s wrath.
And somehow, someway, I knew that it was going to come back on me again.
I was right too.
Tuesday morning, I wake up around eight thirty, before Selina and Abel, and reach for my cell phone on the nightstand. I scroll through it with my left hand, finding an email from the school’s Student Affairs Office. They want me to schedule a time to come in today and meet with the Disciplinary Committee.
Fuck.
Instead of another physical attack, the bastard has apparently decided to get me thrown out of school.
Since I’m dressed in a pair of navy blue sweats and a white tee, both with the school’s black raven on crossed sword logo, I leave them on and slip on some sneakers instead of struggling to change into something else. A blue hat with the same logo covers my bed head, and then I quickly brush my teeth and catch a ride with Kenny to campus.
On the way, I send Abel and Selina both a message that Kenny offered to take me around to see my professors and get notes for the lectures I’ve missed this week.
“You want me to go in with you?” Kenny asks when he pulls up in front of the administration building.
“Nah, I’ll be fine.”
“You sure? You still look like shit, and this can’t be good. It’s about Hayworth’s car, isn’t it?” he asks.
“Probably.”
“Are you going to tell them it was Abel?”
“Fuck no,” I respond as I wince in pain while getting out of the car. “If they find out it was him, a Savage Kings MC biker who isn’t a student here, then they’ll probably have the city PD arrest him.”
“What if they arrest you, Cory?” Kenny exclaims.
“They won’t. I don’t think,” I tell him before I shut the passenger door, then mutter to myself, “Guess that’s a chance I’m willing to take.”
The fact is, I’m just happy Abel didn’t kill him. Ruining Hayworth’s reputation hurt him more than anything else would have. And who knows, as big as the asshole is, he might have hurt Abel, forcing him to pull his gun and kill him.
No, a ruined car calling him out as a homophobe is the way to bring his dreams of going pro crashing down.
Professional football is all about acceptance right now, including supporting the rights of gay players after the first active one recently came out.
A few years ago, and nobody would’ve even cared if someone said Hayworth hated gays, but he would’ve lost his chance at going pro if he had admitted he was attracted to men. Now, the roles are reversed.
I give my name to the receptionist at the desk near the door of the huge three-story building and start to take a seat in the lobby to wait.
But then she calls me right back before my ass even hits the chair.
“This is for you,” she says when she hands me a sealed envelope with my name typed on it.
“I thought I was supposed to meet with an administrator or committee or something.”
“The committee reached a decision this morning, so a meeting is no longer necessary.”
Fuck. That doesn’t sound good.
I tear the envelope right then and there to read the letter.
It states exactly what I expected.
While I was so close to graduating that I could see it, there’s still not a shred of hesitancy in my decision to accept responsibility for the vandalism, saving Abel from jail since the school has already opened and closed the case.
And damn, it only took me a little over five years, but I finally get why Nolan took the fall for something he didn’t do.
He loved Rita. Since the apartment was in her name, he wasn’t willing to take the chance of letting her be arrested or even have her be inconvenienced by letting her pain in the ass little brother get locked up.
I get it now.
Love means being selfless, protecting someone you care about, whatever the costs to yourself.
And I love Abel.
Chapter Forty-One
Abel
I wake up and stretch my arms to the side before I remember the tight sleeping arrangement in the bed.
Except, I don’t feel anything but the mattress on my left side. Cory’s side of the bed is empty.
I listen to see if I hear him in the bathroom, but the apartment is silent, like Selina and I are the only ones here.
“Where’s Cory?” I ask aloud as I slip out of bed.
“Huh?” Selina asks as she rolls to her back. I’m pulling my jeans on when she sits up, rubbing her eyes. “Where are you going?”
“Cory’s not here.”
“Are you sure? Maybe he’s in the kitchen.”
Once my ass is covered in case Kenny is lurking around, I yank the bedroom door open to look over the living room and kitchen. “He’s not here. Where the fuck did he go?”
Selina reaches across the empty bed to get to her phone that’s charging on the nightstand. Before I can grab mine, she says, “Calm down. Kenny just took him to campus to pick up lecture notes.”
“He should’ve woken us up and told us. We could’ve taken him.”
“He’s fine, Abel. Kenny’s with him.”
“What if he runs into the fucke
r who hurt him?” I ask her.
Selina opens her mouth to answer, then closes it. “Hopefully he won’t.”
“Hopefully isn’t good enough for me,” I say as I finish dressing.
I’ve just slipped my arms through my cut when the apartment door opens and Cory walks in alone.
“Why didn’t you wait and let me go with you or at least wake me up?” I snap at him.
“It wasn’t a big deal.” His face is closed off, and he’s avoiding my gaze when he flops down on the sofa, chomping furiously on his gum. “And the professors were all dicks, so I’ve decided to take you up on your offer.”
“What do you mean?” I ask.
“Do you still want me to go back to Myrtle Beach with you and Selina or not?”
“We do,” Selina says from the bedroom doorway, wearing nothing but one of Cory’s gray shirts with the school’s logo on it. And fuck, it’s hot seeing it on her, knowing she’s probably not wearing anything underneath. But first things first…
“A few nights ago, you said there was no fucking way you would leave and that you only had a few weeks left of finals or whatever.” I cross my arms over my chest, thinking he’s full of shit. “What changed your mind?”
“I told you – the professors were dicks. I was already behind, so now I’m fucked,” Cory explains. “I’ll take the spring off and then see about finishing up in the summer and fall.”
“Are you sure?” Selina asks.
“Yes. Help me pack?”
“Sure thing,” she easily agrees.
“There’s something else going on,” I say since this change of heart isn’t making sense.
“Abel, are you having second thoughts?” Cory asks with a teasing grin that doesn’t quite look as cocky as usual.
“No.”
“Then shut up, go find some boxes, and help me pack.” He pushes himself up off the sofa and starts for his room. “Unless you want to wait until Hugo is back to make sure he’s cool with it.”
“He’s still not answering his phone. Besides, it doesn’t really matter since we won’t be staying there long if the Kings vote on the B&B.”
“The what?” Selina asks.
That’s when I remember that with all the shit that happened this weekend, I forgot to tell her.
“She doesn’t know yet?” Cory turns back to me and asks, this time with a legit smile.
“Not yet.”
“What don’t I know?” Selina asks while her fingers fidget nervously with the hem of Cory’s shirt she’s wearing.
“First of all – I think you should only wear my clothes or Cory’s from now on,” I tell her as I stroll past Cory and up to her. Grabbing her hands, I pin them above her head on the doorframe, which of course reminds me of the other night after she caught me sucking Cory off. The hem lifts to reveal her upper thighs and a teasing glimpse of her pussy that makes me go hard in record-breaking time.
Selina raises her right leg and hugs my hip with it to pull me closer. “While I’m happy I can distract you so easily by wearing men’s attire, how about we back up to what I don’t know before you fuck me?”
“Fine,” I say, giving her a quick kiss on her lips. “It’s not finalized or anything, but I think it will be, so I was going to tell you about it this past weekend. You know that idea we talked about, you working at a bed-and-breakfast?”
“Yeah? You found me a job?” she asks with a huge smile.
“No, I found you a B&B.”
“What?”
“The Kings have an unused safe house, and if nobody votes against it, they’re going to let us – you – turn it into a bed-and-breakfast.”
Selina’s jaw drops. “No way!”
“Like I said, it’s not finalized yet…”
“Oh my god!” Her arms rip out of my grip, and then they’re thrown around my neck, nearly choking me to death. “Thank you, Abel.”
“You’re welcome, baby girl,” I say into her hair.
When she loosens her grip on me, I add, “Since the house has four bedrooms, one on the first floor and three on the second, I was thinking we – the three of us – could take the one on the ground and rent out the others.” Glancing over my shoulder at Cory, I say, “What do you say? Think you can use those business degree skills to help out?”
“Seriously? You really want me to live with you and help run it?”
“Yeah.”
“I thought I was just crashing with you for a while…”
“So? What do you say?”
Cory comes up behind us and wraps his arms, even the one in the cast, around me and Selina both, pressing the front of his body to the back of mine. “Can’t fucking wait.”
Chapter Forty-Two
Cory
Abel, Selina, and I started moving into the bed-and-breakfast as soon as the Kings gave the okay. Selina fell in love with the house and is so excited to get it up and running.
We’ve just loaded the last of Abel’s things in the U-Haul in front of the old house and sat down to cool off a minute before hitting the road when I hear the roar of a motorcycle. One that sounds like it’s pulling up and cutting off in the driveway.
Having heard it too, Selina gets to her feet to look out the front window. “Hugo?”
“Maybe?” Abel says as he follows her.
I’m too exhausted to move from the sofa, even though Abel wouldn’t let me carry more than one damn thing at a time with my good arm.
“Oh shit!” Abel exclaims before his head whips around to look at me. “It’s your sister and Nolan!”
“What the fuck?” I scramble to my feet to see for myself.
Sure enough, I would recognize the tall woman with long, strawberry blonde hair, the exact same color as mine, anywhere.
“What are they doing here?” Selina whispers. “Should we hide him?”
“Too late – they’ve already seen his car out there,” Abel points out.
“Fuck. I’m so sorry, Abel. You can tell them I’m hooking up with Selina or that I’m here selling you weed. Whatever you think is best.”
Without a word to tell me which way he’s going to play this, Abel goes to the door and opens it for them.
“What’s up?” he asks his friend.
“What the fuck is Cory doing here?” I hear Nolan’s deep voice snap at him.
“The better question is, why did he get kicked out of school?” I hear Rita yell just before she walks past Abel and into the house, coming to an abrupt stop when she sees me. “Oh my god. You really are here.”
“Hey, sis,” I say in greeting. Selina comes over and takes my hand, giving it a squeeze, prepared to go with the “we’re hooking up” lie if needed and show me support either way. Abel’s right – she would do anything for him, and I’m starting to think she would do the same for me. So would he.
Rita looks from her to me. “Don’t hey, sis me! All that money we spent on tuition just went down the toilet because you did something stupid! Don’t I at least get to know what it was?”
“What are you talking about?” Abel asks as Nolan comes in and the front door shuts behind them.
“Dipshit here didn’t tell you? He got suspended from school!” Nolan grumbles with a nod of his chin in my direction. “Rita got a letter in the mail. Apparently, it took a while to get forwarded from her old address. She tried calling him for days, and he didn’t answer. I was coming to ask you to ride with us to Smithfield to try and find him. Now, why the fuck is he here?”
“You got suspended?” Abel asks me. “I knew you lied!”
“Come on, Abel,” Selina says, still grasping my hand. “What did you think would happen when you vandalized that car?”
“What the fuck are you all talking about?” Nolan grits out. “Someone better start explaining, now!”
Rita’s eyes lower to the cast on my right arm, and she asks, “How did you get hurt?” At least my face has healed up. Ribs and lung too, mostly.
“Some asshole fucked him up and put him
in the hospital, so back the hell up off him,” Abel tells them.
“Then I wanted revenge and vandalized his car,” I lie to cover Abel. “The school found out, refused to even give me a hearing because it was an all-star athlete who brought up the charges.”
“He’s lying. Cory didn’t do the property damage. I did,” Abel informs them. “I wanted to kill the son of a bitch, but I decided to ruin his fucking life instead.”
“Why would you give a shit in the first place?” Nolan asks his friend. “You barely know him!”
“I know him better than you think,” Abel replies before looking to me with his eyebrow raised in question. With a nod, I give him my permission to say it out loud. It’s long past time. “We’ve been seeing each other since the wedding.”
“Seeing each other?” Rita repeats as her brow furrows. “Do you mean…”
“We’re together. The three of us,” Abel explains when he comes up behind us and puts his hand on Selina’s shoulder and mine.
“You’re serious?” my sister asks.
“Yep,” I answer.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” she whispers. While she looks shocked, she mostly sounds…hurt.
“I had put enough of a burden on you. I wasn’t sure if this would be the last straw for you to be done with me for good. Especially after the shit with Nolan…”
“How long have you known, Cory?” she asks.
I shrug. “My whole life, but I didn’t admit it to myself until I was about fourteen or fifteen.”
Her eyes widen in surprise. “Oh, wow. And I had no idea. All those girls…”
“They were fun, but mostly a front in case word got out that I was fucking around with guys too.”
“He was pressured by a jock to do whatever he told him so that he wouldn’t out him to the whole school,” Abel says. “That’s the reason the stolen items were in Rita’s apartment in the first place. Cory wasn’t breaking into houses, stealing shit. He was just at the mercy of the guy who was involved.”
