“Though I’m loving this new body, I would appreciate recovering my own body,” I assured her, kissing the tip of her earlobe.
“I know, I feel the same.”
She gave me a self-deprecating smile before she started to go through the book. I let her be and started to set the table. The Chinese restaurant was very punctual, so I was sure they would be there in a few minutes. And they did. I was finishing it when the doorbell rang.
“That’s dinner,” I warned Alison and a few minutes later we were at the table having dinner.
“According to what I've read so far, the swap would only happen between linked souls,” she said, with a slight frown.
“Linked souls?” I asked puzzled.
“Yes, something like twin souls. It doesn’t make much sense, but that’s what it says,” she explained, flushing a little.
“I see. What else did you find out?” I asked with a wicked smirk.
So, twin souls? Somehow that didn’t surprise me. She had been special to me ever since I saw her for the first time and the only reason I never acted on my attraction for her, was because I never thought she would pay any attention to me. She was famous on campus for being a truly gifted person that only cared about her studies.
I guess I was wrong.
“Well, apparently this should last as much as necessary for the couple to fully know each other,” she replied, deepening her frown. “That could last a whole life?” she grumbled.
“Keep reading. There has to be a way out,” I insisted, not too worried.
At this point, I would do pretty much everything to keep her next to me. She read in silence for a few minutes more, eating distractedly.
“Oh, yes, here it is. It says the swaps never last more than a few days.”
She was relieved.
“Good. How the hell did we manage to swap?” I asked, puzzled.
“You are supposed to make a small ritual and say a few words, then the man must rip the book from the woman’s hands,” she explained. “Somehow we activated the spell when you pulled the book out of my hands.”
“Well, I’m glad it was you on the other end of the book,” I assured her and she looked at me, with an eyebrow arched.
“Really? I’m sure you would have preferred to have one of the cheerleaders.”
Her tone showed some scorn.
“When have you seen me with a cheerleader outside the field?” I asked her, determined to have things straightened between us. “I prefer a bit more essence in the women I date. Cheerleaders usually only care about themselves and the way they look.”
Allison looked at me a bit flushed, and I assumed she had realized I was telling her the truth.
“I’m sure that’s a gross generalization.”
I chuckled.
“Maybe, but I still haven’t met the exception to the rule,” she snorted but didn’t insist on the subject.
A few seconds later she seemed to remember something.
“Please, tell me you’re not having a game this weekend.”
This time I laughed out loud. That would be a total disaster. She might have my body, but I was sure she had no idea of what to do with it, or how to actually play football.
“No, thankfully, I’m free this weekend.”
“Oh, thank god.”
We finished eating and clearing the dining table and she went to the living room. I followed her with a couple of hot cocoa mugs and a package of marshmallows.
“Are you planning to spend the night reading the book?” I asked her taking a seat next to her and handing her the cup.
“Thank you. Why do you ask? Do you have anything else in mind?” she asked with a naughty smile, adding a bunch of marshmallows to her cocoa.
“Well, yes, I actually do,” I assured her, taking a sip of my hot cocoa. “I think we need to make the best of this time together, to really get to know each other.”
“I guess that would break the spell faster,” she said, nodding.
“Maybe…” I accepted, though I intended to make her stay with me as long as I could.
“What do you want to know?” she asked licking her upper lip, and my pussy clenched instinctively.
I cleared my throat before I answered.
“Tell me about your family.”
We spend the next couple of hours talking about ourselves, but as the clock marked the minutes, I could feel my arousal grow.
Allison
Sitting on the living room couch, I looked at him seated next to me. It was a bit awkward staring at myself as if I was staring into a mirror, but not as much as I thought it would be. I still had trouble believing I was really here, next to the man I had been in love with for over a year, but it was harder to believe he felt the same for me.
Could it be possible? The book said the spell only worked on twin souls and though I felt that way about him, it was hard to believe he fell the same way.
“So… it’s getting late,” he said after a while, stretching his voluptuous body as he got up.
The cock between my legs stirred to life immediately and I had to put my hands in front of it to hide it from him.
“Yes, you’re right, we should get to bed.”
I got up too and, picking the book from the coffee table, I looked around not sure of what to do next. We hadn’t discussed sleeping arrangements.
“Come,” he said and, taking my hand in his, he guided me to his bedroom again, closing the door behind us.
He took the book from her hands and put it down on the nightstand before he stood in front of me and disrobed himself. His naked body enticed the masculine hormones raging inside me, and my cock hardened so much I thought it would drill a hole on the robe.
He shot me a wicked smile, knowing exactly how his body was reacting to the sight of my naked body, and taking a step closer to me, he untied the strap that kept the robe closed. In just a few seconds, my robe was on the floor next to his, and his hands were caressing my chest, as he traced fire trails with tiny kisses and nibbles.
My hands flew to his mane and pulled him closer as he made me his way down my belly.
Suddenly, he knelt in front of me and taking my cock in his delicate hands, he teased me for a few moments before he guided the cock into his mouth. I was sure he had never done this before, but god, it felt like paradise, the warm wetness of his mouth clenched around my mouth.
He sucked and licked my cock voraciously for a couple of minutes, until the need to possess him took over me and I pulled him up and carried him to the bed, burying myself inside him. Then, in a single motion, I started with the oldest rhythm on earth, plunging in and out of him, until we were both pushed over the edge, into a swirling ocean of pleasure and bliss.
We spent the rest of the weekend in bed, making love, talking and having fun. When we woke up on Monday morning, a bit concerned about the day ahead of us, we were back to normal.
I was happy with it, I really was, but my heart felt as if a huge iron fist was squeezing the life out of it. I didn’t want to say goodbye to him. I wasn’t ready for that, and I probably would never be.
“Well, according to the book, we now know each other very well, right?” he asked, still lying in bed next to me.
“Yes, I guess so,” I accepted, not sure what he meant by that.
“So, I think we know each other enough for me to ask you this: move in with me,” he continued, with a serious expression on his face.
Reason and sensibility wanted to argue with that idea, but this time, I wasn’t listening to them.
“Are you sure?” I asked instead.
“Yes, I’m sure. There’s something special between us and I want to explore this thoroughly. Don’t you agree with me?”
“Yes, I do.”
I threw myself into his arms and he wrapped his own around me.
“Then, we’re set. We’re officially living together,” he announced, just before he claimed my lips with a deep, passionate kiss.
I wasn’t s
ure this would really work, but I was more than willing to give it a try. So I welcomed my new life with eager anticipation.
Military Swap
“Well, are you guys ready for this new adventure?” General Simpson asked with his somber tone.
“Yes, sir. We are,” Captain James answered in chorus with her.
“Good. I know you are aware of the dangers this mission entails, but I would like to point out just how important this achievement could be for humankind,” the man added with a stern expression on his face.
“Yes, sir. We’re well aware of that,” she replied, this time oozing some of her impatience through her words.
Though he was her superior, she felt little respect for him. She had always wondered how the hell he had become a general.
“Remember, you are not to interfere with the events happening around you. Observe and stay aside as much as you can,” he continued after giving her a harsh look. She knew he was aware of her feelings for him.
Katherine patted the skirt of her Victorian dress and sighed. They had been hearing that same speech ever since they had been recruited for the mission. She knew the only reason they were sending her to it was because they needed a woman’s insight to it and she was definitely the one for the job. Captain James had been the obvious choice as her counterpart since he was a decorated soldier, with enough engineering knowledge to fix any problem with the portal, if there should be one.
“Of course, sir,” Captain James, replied with a faint smile.
Katherine was sure he didn’t like General Simpson much either, but they had never discussed the matter. In fact, she had spoken to him very little in the past six months. She had done all she could to stay away from him. The man was distressingly attractive with his dark hair and striking gray eyes and she had found herself unable to focus on her job, whenever he was around. That pissed her off and she kept scolding herself for surrendering to such a pointless attraction.
Katherine knew few men found her attractive. Those who had dared to date her once seemed to agree she was too dominant and too intimidating for them to want a second date. And she was sure Captain James wouldn’t even bother trying, not with all the women he had drooling after him.
“Opening the portal. All people not involved with the mission, please, abandon the area,” a metallic voice sounded through the sound system and General Simpson quickly disappeared, after a brief nod towards James and her.
“So, here we go,” Captain James said, with an excited tone.
She gave him a faint smile, worried about how she was going to survive pretending to be his wife for a few days. He stretched out his hand for her.
“We better hold hands, Lieutenant Masters. The last thing we need is to land in separate places,” he suggested in a serious tone.
“Yes, right.”
She took a deep breath and put her hand in his. A bright light appeared in front of them and the same metallic voice sounded again.
“Portal opened. Please enter it.”
They quickly approached it, since the engineers were only able to keep the portal open for a few seconds and without hesitation they entered the portal. For a few seconds, all she was aware of was his hand in hers. The rest was a myriad of colors swirling around her, blinding her with their brightness, until she landed with a loud thud on a grassy field.
Breathless, she waited for a few seconds before she moved and when she did, she almost passed out.
She was in some kind of park, surrounded by tall trees and a lot of bushes, but that was not what shocked her. A few feet away from her, was her own body, still with the Victorian blue dress on, lying on the grass, facing the ground, apparently unconscious.
Her first thought was that she had died, and she was looking at herself as her ghost, but she soon dismissed that idea, because she was feeling too sore from the fall and very alive. Fearing the truth, she slowly looked at herself, starting with her hands and what she saw made her let out a loud cry.
“What the hell… this is not happening to me… damn…” she cursed, as she looked around for a river, a stream or something that would reflect her image, but a moan coming from her body made her focus on the imperative situation: her body was hurt. Crawling, she approached it and carefully, turned it around, looking for wounds and fractures.
“Katherine… what’s going on?” James asked… because it could only be him, mumbled, sounding disoriented.
“Hold on… let me check if you’re alright, first. Do you feel any pain?” she asked, while she moved her hands quickly through his … her… body. Damn, this was a mess.
James growled and tried to focus. He hadn’t expected a rough landing and he must have bumped his head against something because he was feeling a bit dizzy. But when he finally managed to focus on the person kneeling next to him, the dizziness got worse and he almost threw up. He had to be having a nightmare… he couldn’t have seen what he just did, right?
“What the hell is going on?” he grumbled, rubbing his eyes.
“We swapped bodies during the crossing,” she confirmed in a cold tone.
“That’s impossible.”
“Yeah… I thought so too and nobody warned us it could happen,” she grumbled as she finished her inspection of his body.
“I’m alright…” he said, sitting down, to take a good look at his own body, knelt in front of him. “We have to go back immediately,” he said in a cold tone. “There’s no way I’m staying here in your body.”
She got up and looked around, trying to find any signs of the portal, but other than a few broken branches there was nothing there.
“Good luck with that,” she said, in a cold tone. “There’s no sign of the portal.”
He tried to get up, but all of the layers of clothes he was wearing made the task impossible and he had to accept Katherine’s help for something as simple as getting up.
“How the hell did this go wrong?” he grumbled, as he stood on his feet, trying to straighten his dress, feeling awkward wearing a dress.
“You tell me. I’m just a soldier, remember? You’re the engineer,” she muttered, pulling some twigs from his hair.
“Do you think we’re at least, in the right time period?” he asked, frowning as he looked around.
There was no sign of civilization, no sounds and no buildings around them, but that didn’t mean anything.
“I have no idea,” she recognized, running her fingers through his short, dark hair. “If you’re feeling well enough, we should go exploring a bit,” Katherine suggested, looking a bit worried at him.
“I’m fine. I’m sure it was just a small bump in the head,” he grumbled.
She stared into his eyes, looking at her reflection in them and confirming she was in his body. Not that she needed one… it just made things a bit more real than they felt in that moment.
“No matter what, we should stick to our original plans,” Katherine said as she picked the small bag they had brought with them, with some clothes and with money.
“Yes, of course. We have to get to London as soon as possible to mark our rendezvous place for the others back home,” he said, taking his hands to his blond hair and trying to fix it as best as he could.
“Stop that, you’re only making it worse,” she said, sighing impatiently.
“I must be looking terrible,” he grumbled and Katherine had to bit her lips to muffle the chuckle coming out her lips.
One thing she could say about Captain James was that he always looked neat, even dapper. Looking a mess was not something he would feel comfortable with.
“Well, that suits our plans perfectly,” Katherine replied as she looked around. “If the calculations were correct, we should be just outside the city. We need to find the road and the small inn that is supposed to be nearby.”
It felt weird looking at her own body and knowing his soul was now in it. But incredibly, she seemed to start seeing him in it, more than she saw the body. It was a very confusing situation.

“Right. Then, we have to head south.”
He looked at his body, trying to find the special watch the team had designed for him, but he soon realized, the object was on the vest’s pocket Katherine was wearing. He looked at her, feeling frustrated, but she was taking out already and looking for the right direction.
“This way,” she said as she started to walk out of the woods.
Fortunately, it didn’t take them much to find the road and the inn, what allowed them to breathe relieved. Their chances of getting back home were better if they managed to stick to the plans.
