  “Of course.”

She decided to leave while he was away. She wouldn’t be able to say goodbye to him.

“I’ll take a nap, then, if you don’t mind.”

He was still buttoning his shirt when he came to the bed and leaned down to steal a kiss from her lips.

“Of course not. I’ll see you later.”

She nodded and waited until he left the room to close her eyes and let the first tears to come out.

After a while, she got up, took a shower and got dressed, packing all of her things quickly, eager to leave before he returned. She was sure he would appreciate that, after all, now that they were able to go back to their normal lives, they had nothing in common. She had to take a cab, so she went to the kitchen looking for the housekeeper. She would know how to get one.

“Are you leaving?” the woman asked, surprised, looking at Eileen’s bag.

  “Yes… I have to.”

“Is Mr. Sullivan aware of this? He didn’t mention it.”

The tone of the woman’s voice was suspicious and Eileen toughened herself.

“Yes, of course. He probably forgot. He had a very important meeting at the office.”

“Yes… why don’t you have breakfast first? The cab station is a bit far from here.” the woman suggested and she agreed, not because she was hungry, but because she didn’t want to make her suspect anything.

She was still playing with her food a few minutes later when she heard the roar of a motorcycle approaching the house. It surprised her, but she didn’t pay much attention to it. She was so lost in her thoughts she didn’t even hear the slamming of the door and the stomping of his strides, not until he was in the room walking towards.

“What are you doing here?” she mumbled the question, surprised.

“Mrs. Johnson called me. She thought I should know of your plans,” he said in a cold tone.

“I’m sorry… there was no need for her to bother you,” she said wriggling her hands on her lap. “Like you, I need to go back to my normal life and that’s in Sidney, not here.”

“What we had meant so little to you?” he asked, crouching next to her, forcing her to look at him in the eyes.

“No… of course not… but… you have your own life… and I better get to mine…”

“My life was so boring, so predictable, so lonely, I found myself praying in a Buddhist temple to find my other half,” he said, in a louder tone.

“You prayed for that?” she asked, astonished.

  “Yes, I prayed for that.”

“I did too,” Eileen told him.

“See… the gods found a way to join us together… because otherwise, we would have never met.” He stated, cupping her face. “You belong to me, the same way I belong to you,” he said, leaning over and kissing her with all the passion he felt for her.

She sobbed, wrapping her hands around his neck and pulling him closer to her.

“I was so afraid you didn’t feel the same way…” she said, hiding her face on the crook of his strong neck.

“Eileen, I love you, like I’ve never loved anyone in my life. I know we’ve only met a few days ago, but I’ll prove to you, my feelings for you are real,” he said, hugging her tighter.

  She sobbed louder.

“I love you too,” she confessed.

Though it was hard to believe, they had been able to find love and of course, they would have to build a strong relationship but now she was sure nothing was impossible.

  Love conquered all.

  Step Into My Shoes

“Hey, baby I thought you were taking the kids to your mom’s house this weekend.”

Sam’s voice on the other side of the line made me frown.

“I told you this morning I was working late tonight, that I needed you to take them there as soon as you got home,” I reminded him, in a controlled tone.

I was still trapped in my office, finishing a report I had to send my boss who was waiting for it on the other side of the world: more specifically, in Sidney, Australia.

“I don’t remember you telling me that,” he protested and I snorted impatient, running my fingers through my dark curls.

“You were in the shower when I told you that.”

  “I guess I didn’t hear you.”

“I guess you didn’t. Can you still take them? Mom is preparing a special dinner for them,” I asked him, doing my best not to yell at him. He could be so damn distracted sometimes.

“Sure, I’ll take them right away. Do you want me to get something for dinner on my way home?” he proposed and I knew he was looking for forgiveness.

“Yes, that would be nice. Get some sushi.”

I knew he wasn’t much of a fan of sushi, but I also knew he would get it for me, from my favorite restaurant, half an hour away from my mother’s place.

“Sure, baby, anything you want. Don’t work so late.”

“I guess I’ll be home in less than two hours.”

  “I’ll be waiting for you.”

His mischievous tone told me exactly what he had in mind and I chuckled.

  “Of course you will.”

We ended the call and, for the thousandth time, I wished I could exchange places with him and let him know exactly what it was like to be me for a few days. Maybe that would make him pay more attention to what happened around him.

Don’t get me wrong - I love him. I fell in love with him the first day I met him, when we were still in college about to get our law degree. Now we have two kids, he works as a criminal lawyer for a renowned law firm and I work as a Mercantilist lawyer for an international law firm. We both had demanding jobs, but the burden of the house and the kids fell mostly on me. He seemed oblivious to it all.

I let out a deep sigh and went back to work. I wanted to finish this as soon as possible so that I could go get my beloved sushi and a nice bottle of white wine with it. It was Thursday night and I deserved it.

When I finally finished the report I emailed it to my boss and I was about to turn off my laptop when an email came through. I was about to ignore it since I didn’t know the sender but, for some reason, I opened it up, too curious to let it go.

“Tired that he doesn’t understand you? Wishing to put him in your shoes for a few days, just to let him know how it feels? I know how you feel. In fact, I can feel your rage and your frustration from here.”

The words written on the email startled me. What the hell was that? How could this stranger know this? Was it just a coincidence?

“All you have to do is recite these few words and, tomorrow morning when you wake up, you’ll be him and he will be you. Make him be you and enjoy being him.”

It continued and after that with some kind of verse.

‘Gods of the universe, please listen to my prayer

Swap my body with Sam’s. Let my soul travel to his body tonight

So that he will learn how it is to be me.’

I read the verse mesmerized, astonished that whoever this was, knew my husband’s name. Of course, this had to be some practical joke, so I erased the mail and closed my laptop. It was time to go home.

But the damn message followed me home. It was in my mind, as is someone had printed it in my brain and I kept going through it again and again.

Of course, I would love to see it happen. I would love to see Sam handling all of the things I used to handle on a normal day. That should teach him a thing or two.

I finally arrived home and Sam was waiting for me as promised. I had sent him a message when I left the office, so he had the food displayed on the table, ready for me. He received me at the door.

“Hello, gorgeous, how are you feeling tonight?” he whispered in my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him, claiming my mouth in a deep, hot kiss, meant to steal my breath away.

“Not as well as you are,” I mumbled against his lips, wrapping my own arms around his neck.

“Dinner is served. I even got that Portug
uese white wine you like so much,” he said, dragging me behind him to the dining room.

“Hmmm, what’s the occasion?” I asked, a little suspicious.

“None, other than celebrating the beginning of a whole weekend for ourselves. When was the last time that happened?” he asked, pulling the chair for me.

He was right, of course. We usually didn’t have too much time to be just the two of us. Being the parents of twin girls was fantastic, but it was also time-consuming.

  “You have a point there.”

He took a seat next to me and we had dinner, chatting and updating the day’s events and, by the time we finished and I cleared the dining room, it was time to go to bed. I went straight to the shower, getting rid of my clothes on my way there. I was already under the warm stream of water, rinsing the shampoo from my hair when Sam joined me.

He stood behind me and slid his hands down my back until he reached my round, voluptuous cheeks, squeezing them slightly. I let out a muffled moan, resting my hands on the wall in front of me as I rocked my hips to meet his.

He always had the power to set me on fire easily and this time wasn’t any different. One of his hands slid up to cup my breast and clamp my eager nipple as the other went looking for my pulsating clit.

While one hand pinched, twisted and pulled, the other one rubbed and pressed. Each touch was driving me closer and closer to the edge and I could feel his cock pressing against my back, thick and really hard.

I needed him inside me, desperately, and I pushed my ass against him, urging him to take me. He chuckled in my ears and made me bend over slightly as his cock slid inside me, stretching me to take all of him inside me, burying himself deep inside me.

I let out a loud groan and with his hands firmly anchored on my breasts, he thrust in and out of me, increasing his pace until the waves of wild pleasure finally crashed over us taking us to that amazing paradise of pleasure and bliss we always conjured.

A few minutes later, we went to bed and I must have fallen asleep almost right away. The next thing I remember was waking up to the sound of my alarm and turning it down.

Still half asleep, I got up and dragged myself to the bathroom, taking a seat on the toilet. I was about to pee when I opened up my eyes and saw a couple of hairy legs in front of me.

Startled, I raised my head and looked at the mirror in front of me, and I almost passed out when I saw the reflection staring back at me, blond hair, blond goatee, and shining blue eyes. My morning urge to pee disappeared and I ran back to the bedroom, watching incredulous my body still lying in bed, sound asleep.

“Sam, wake up,” I called him up. “Wake up, I tell you,” I insisted raising my voice.

“What… what happened?” he mumbled, still half asleep.

“Open your eyes and look at me, damn it,” I urged him.

“What’s going on?” he asked as he sat up in bed. When he finally took a good look at me, he jumped out of the bed, looking at himself. “What the hell is going on here’” he grumbled, walking past me to get to the bathroom.

The spell I read last night came to my mind, but I couldn’t believe this was really happening. I followed him to the bathroom, just in time to watch him pinching one of my nipples hard and yelping.

“This is not a dream.” He was astounded. “How the hell happened to us?” he growled, looking at me through the mirror.

“I might have done something,” I admitted and he immediately turned to look at me.

  “What do you mean?”

I explained the whole thing to him as briefly as I could.

“Of course, I never thought it would actually work. What were the chances?” I concluded in an apologetic tone.

“Clearly, pretty good. What am I supposed to do now?” he grumbled, still staring at his new body in the mirror.

I chuckled. This was better than I ever thought possible.

“Well, Lisa darling, you have to go to work. But don’t forget to prepare my breakfast before you leave and make sure my clothes are hanged in the closet, ready for me to put them on in an hour when I have to go to work.”

The expression on his face would have been hilarious if I hadn’t just described my everyday mornings.

“You can’t expect me to be you!” he grunted.

“You are me, love. Look at your dark, curly mane, gray eyes, great breasts, nicer ass, legs to kill for… you’re me,” I assured him, as I ran my hand through my new abs, and my soft goatee.

“But… I’ll screw up things at work,” he said, trying to escape his fate.

I stood in front of him, forcing him to look at me.

“Do you know why I even read the damn spell? Because, for once, I would love you to feel what’s like to be me. Sometimes you don’t seem to realize the amount of work that falls on my back.”

“Baby, that’s not exactly true,” he protested.

“Of course it is and, if you’re man enough, you’ll admit,” I insisted.

He opened his pretty little mouth but he must have reconsidered because he closed it again.

“Do you think I’m not up to the challenge of being you for a couple of days?”

Ah, there it was, his huge macho pride. I was counting on it.

  “I’m sure you aren’t.”

  “I’ll prove it to you.”

There it was. He had fallen into my trap.

“Very well, let’s see how that goes,” I told him, standing very close to his back, poking his round ass with my hard cock. “I’ll see you tonight, baby,” I whispered in his ear, circling his earlobe, with the tip of my tongue, reveling on the way his whole body shuddered with pleasure.

With a hard squeeze to his ass, I went back to bed. I didn’t need to get up so early.

Of course, I wasn’t able to fall back asleep. Instead, I enjoyed hearing him fussing around, trying to get everything done like I always did.

Meanwhile, my new cock was harder than ever and I was hot. I lied on the bed, reclined against the pillows and took my curious hand to my new cock, starting to stroke it, running the tip of my long, hard fingers all around the tip, rubbing carefully that little hole of glory on the top, until I started to feel my breath getting heavier by the seconds, as images of our innumerable times together running wild through my mind.

Incredibly, it didn’t take me much to explode all over my belly. It was amazing, nothing compared to what I felt each time I had an orgasm, alone or not. Not better or worse, just completely different.

Pleased, I got up and went to the bathroom for a quick shower. In the dressing room, I found the suit I was supposed to wear to the office, along with the shirt. But he forgot the tie, so, with a naughty smile, I decided not to wear it that day.

When I reach the kitchen, I almost had a heart attack. Sam was a total disaster in the kitchen and he had proved it once more. The place was a total wreck. For a moment I considered to clean up the mess, but then I shook my head and opened up the microwaves, where he should have left my breakfast. Eggs with bacon and fried ham, and a delicious croissant I always bought for him. He was lucky he didn’t get fat, and either way, he went to the gym every day.

I ate all of it quickly and left the house to go to work. It was a good thing Sam didn’t have to go to court that day. That might have been a bit complicated. I hated most of his cases.

At the office, I was greeted normally and I managed to pull out my charade easily. At lunch time I called Sam to check on him. He sounded a bit flustered, but he didn’t admit it.

“I guess you saw the mess in the kitchen,” he mentioned when I was about to end the call.

“Yes, I did. Unfortunately, I was running late for work, but I’m sure you’ll have enough time to clean it up when you get home tonight,” I replied, with a wide smile.

“Yes, of course.” He let out a sigh. “I’ll see at night.”

“Remember, I’m going to the gym after work.”

  “Yes, I remember.”

  “I’ll see you after
it, then.”

I ended the call with a wide smile. It was clear he wasn’t having a good day.

After work, I went to the gym and took as much time as I could before I finally returned home. Sam had to be grateful the girls weren’t home.

When I finally got home, he was finishing dinner. He had cleaned up the breakfast mess, but he already had another mess.

“Hey, baby, what are we having for dinner?” I asked him with a smile, walking up behind him and kissing his neck, tracing a tiny trail of fire up to his ear.
