  “You remember my guitar’s name?”

“Of course I do.” Chelle ran her red fingernails over the guitar strings. “Now, you have to come up with a name for this one.”

Pipes smiled and strummed the guitar. “Already have one,” he paused. “I’m gonna call her Sunshine.”

  About the Morning Star Trilogy

I started writing Chasing Fireflies about three years ago. Originally, it was a very different story. The basic concept was the same, but it was more of paranormal than crime fiction. It was about the same time I read a post by Joe Konrath. He was opening up his world of Jack Daniels for collaborations. I really didn’t have anything that fit the crime fiction genre. So, I invented James Beamer and wrote Roller Coaster, pairing Beamer with Jack Daniels. It was loads of fun. Joe read it. He liked it and asked if I wanted to write something else. It was then I decided that James Beamer needed a back story. Bitten by the crime fiction bug, I revisited Chasing Fireflies. The paranormal aspect wasn’t really working. The story was ripe for an overhaul. After a few months, Beamer had his back story. Thanks, Joe.

The Morning Star Trilogy which consists of Chasing Fireflies, Babylon Girl, and Facing Hell was a blast to write. While this is the end of the line for Norman Wallace, this isn’t the end for James Beamer or Michelle Callahan. James will be back soon in Bleeding Out and Michelle will find ways to get into trouble in Chelle Shocked.

I hope that you enjoyed The Morning Star Trilogy. I cannot put into words how much it means to me that people read these tales my mind creates. Thank you for reading and if you want to stay up to date with what I’ve got going on please join my VIP mailing list. I promise not to spam you with unwanted mail. I’ll just email when I have something cool going on I think you may enjoy.

See ya at the end of the next story.

  About Paul Seiple

Paul Seiple is a bit of a genre hopper. It’s not a problem yet, he still shies away from romance. But if he can find the right idea for a demonic love story all bets are off. He mainly writes horror, post-apocalyptic, and crime fiction stories.

Outside of creating dark worlds, Paul is influenced by Crystal Pepsi, New Coke, Van Halen III (The Gary Cherone Minute), and Windows Vista. He believes Paul Stanley’s ’78 solo record was the best and misses Saved by the Bell: The College Years tremendously. Paul would like for you to be in his Myspace Top 8, but sadly, he can’t remember his password. But all is not lost.
