Sir Randall chuckled. “I knew having daughters would be a good thing.”

Priscilla gave the man a wink before she turned and left them to their snacks. She made her way upstairs intent on speaking to George, but she found instead Bridgitte waiting outside her door. “Bridgitte?”

Bridgitte jumped at her approach. “I did not see you.”

“Well, I did not mean to scare you,” Priscilla said. “Were you coming to see me?”

She turned and nodded. “Yes. I was hoping that you would accept my apologies for what happened. I know that I already said this, but Priscilla I am so sorry.”

Priscilla smiled at her sister. “I know you are sorry. I was hurt, but you did me a favor. Without your interference, I would never have met George.”

Bridgitte looked at her sister, and there was caution in her eyes. “It is quite right that you should hate me.”

“But I do not, please, believe me, Bridgitte, that I do not hate you. I love you. You are my sister and I have learned a lot about family over the last few months.” Priscilla pulled Bridgitte into a hug. To her surprise, Bridgitte hugged her back just as tightly.

Bridgitte whispered, “I love you too.”
