You can find her most active on Facebook, though she does have an Instagram and a Twitter account as well. Every week or two she also updates her blog, A Human in Progress, with short articles about politics, mental health awareness and, of course, writing.

Danielle lives with her husband, two dogs, and a cat. She listens to an inordinate amount of music and created a Spotify playlist for The Five Realms (search #the5realms). If you want to reach her, she would love to hear from you. E-mail [email protected]

  Acknowledgments

Nothing is created in a vacuum. If not for the support and encouragement of my friends and family, most of what you just “witnessed” would not have come to pass.

I would like to thank, first and foremost, my incredibly supportive and patient husband, without whom this book would likely never have seen print or publication.

My beta readers were invaluable during the process of finishing this book, providing not only blow-by-blow reactions that got me all excited in the middle of grocery stores, but a deep analysis of the story. This truly would not be what it is without their assistance. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to Andrea Wickstrom, Farrah Miller, Bon, and Gretchen Engle. You rock.

Thank you to the artist who designed the cover artwork for this book, Andra Maria Moisescu. You truly brought my characters to life and you, dear reader, need to check out her Instagram @andra_moisescu_art to see some of the other amazing things she has done.

Thank you to my long line of therapists and psychiatrists. Thank you for helping me become the person I have always wanted to be. Without your cool observations and insights, I would not have known the path to walk, or refused to change course. And to those reading this who have lost hope, or succumbed to the darkness, know this: there is a way out. Therapists and psychiatric treatment are like perfect twin blades, able to slice through that murky darkness and help let in the light.

Lastly, I would like to thank all the people, past and present, who have pushed me to write in one way or another. There are too many of you to name, and too many of you whose names I’ve forgotten. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being that nudge in the right direction.

Thanks for reading! Please add a short review on Amazon and let me know what you thought!

It’s nice to have a final call to action like this in the back to drive reviews. I would also add an optin offer, like “download the next book in the series for free!”/ “Get the quickstart guide to implementing the tools in this book!” A very simple 10 page PDF can be a great optin offer for non-fiction. For fiction you can offer future books, prequels or short stories. Also add an optin offer at the front of the book; people who just “Look Inside” can still see your offer and click the link, leading to more subscribers.
