This novel, although entirely fictional, was inspired by experiences I’ve had in feeling connections with loved ones who have passed away. No one can be sure what’s on the other side, or even if there is another side, but those of us who have had even just a fleeting moment of connection have little doubt.
In writing this novel I didn’t set out to answer questions, but to pose them. It’s a piece of fiction that doesn’t fall neatly into a literary genre and for that reason I owe huge thanks to Kerry-Jane and Matthew at Urbane for their belief.
Thanks also to the fiercely-talented author Shari Low who was one of the first to read the final manuscript and who gave it such whole-hearted support.
