“Yeah. I know.” He dropped to one knee in front of her.

Kate hands went to her cheeks. “Oh, my gosh, Oh, my gosh, Oh, my gosh.”

“Kate MacIntire, will you accept this dream house of ours as an early wedding present?” He pulled a ring box from his pocket and opened it. A pink diamond set in rose gold sat on black velvet. “And will you do me the honor of being my wife? I want to build this place up together from scratch. You and me. I want to sit on the porch in rocking chairs when we are old and...no wait. That’s not us. I want to ride around town on our Harley together still when we’re old...”

Tears filled her eyes as she laughed. “Yes, yes, yes. I want to do all of those things and more.”

He took the ring from the box and placed it on her finger.

She pulled him to his feet by his shirt and kissed him. Breathless and beyond happy, she pulled back to look in his eyes. “Yes.”
