Out With A Bang: A Curvy Girl/Sweet Alpha Holiday Romance Page 4

by Lila Cole

“I wanna go to Italy next year,” she says. “In the fall.”

“A couple of weeks just the two of us sounds amazing.” I pull her hair back and plant a kiss on the nape of her neck. “I would go anywhere with you.”

She snuggles against me. “You’re such a sap.”

“What can I say? I love you.”

She turns her head and kisses me. “I love you too. What about you? What do you want to do next year?”

I don’t even have to think about it. “I want us to buy a house.” We’ve talked about it before, but never pulled the trigger. I want next year to be different.

“Yeah,” she sighs. “Somewhere on the outskirts of town with some land and room for a pool.”

I’d never say no to seeing Jan in a bikini, dripping wet. “Definitely a pool. We could get a dog.”

She nods. “Definitely a dog. But a house with all that land will have so many bedrooms.”

My pulse kicks up a couple of notches. “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying that I think we should start filling up those rooms with little me’s and little you’s.”

I grin and hold her tighter. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about having babies with her the past couple of years, but I wanted to wait until she was ready.

“You’re just getting things going with the company,” I say, not sure why I’m trying to talk her out of this. “Are you sure the timing is right?”

She shrugs. “Is the timing ever right? I want to have your baby.”

I love the way that sounds. “A little girl that looks just like you.”

“A little boy that has your eyes, and that smile I love so much.”

I can see it. “Are we really gonna start trying?”

She tugs her bottom lip between her teeth. “I’ll stop my birth control. After you take me out to brunch tomorrow, you can try to give me the best birthday present ever,” she says, giggling.

I think it’ll take a little longer than that, but I don’t care. I kiss my gorgeous wife, who’s everything I always wanted and somehow manages to give me more than I knew I needed. More than I deserve, but I’m gonna make sure that she knows how grateful I am to have her in my life every day for as long as I live.

I lower her down and press my body against her never ending, luscious curves. I quickly glance at my watch. We have plenty of time until the clock strikes midnight, so I kiss her.

“It probably won’t happen right away,” she says. “What’ll we do until it does?”

I settle myself in the cradle of her thighs and slide home, making her gasp. “Until then, we practice.”
