"Say one more word, and I'll have you arrested," Pratt proclaimed. As if to back up this claim, several Homeland Security officers stepped forward.
Oh, now you guys can work together, Chase thought.
"Calm down," Stitts said. "Everyone just calm down. We’re leaving."
"He didn't shoot anybody—he didn't even know about the gun," Chase said.
And that was it. Before either of them knew what was happening, the nearest soldier yanked Chase away from Stitts and slapped handcuffs on her.
Chase didn’t struggle, but she was going to get her voice heard; she made sure of it.
“He didn’t do it! He didn’t even know a gun was in there! Mohammed Al-Saed is not your guy! He’s not the shooter!”
