Moaning from the pleasure, I grip the edges of the desk and push back, meeting him thrust for thrust as he hammers into me. His hand grips my hair and forces my head up until I notice the window behind the desk. You can clearly see us in the reflection, and I cry out as both of our eyes light it up, our bodies shining as he blurs, fucking me.
Each thrust has me moving forward, the friction rubbing across my breasts, and I soon build back up. He reaches between our bodies and flicks my clit before leaning over me and fitting his body against mine, licking up my spine before biting the base of my neck. I gasp, my eyes nearly closing, but I blink in shock when I spot Nos at the doorway.
His white eyes light up in the reflection, making me cry out as I come, loving that he’s watching us. Griffin comes with a yell, his bite getting harder, making me shout out again as I feel him explode inside of me. His thrusts still and his bruising grip on my other hip holds us as close as we can get while we both breathe heavily.
He lets go of my neck and stands up, and I collapse on the desk, watching in the window as he steps back and tucks himself in his jeans before looking over his shoulder. Forcing myself onto wobbly legs, I turn around and almost trip over my leather pants, which I somehow kicked off one leg. I go to bend down to pull them up when Griffin looks back at me. He drops to his knees and taps my leg, so I lift it obediently, and he pulls my jeans back onto it before pulling them up my legs, running his fingers over my skin as he does, making me shiver and my pussy pulse.
He fastens the button before staring up at me with an unreadable expression. Standing, he rights my bra and ties my shirt in a knot to keep it in place before stepping back. He throws me one more look before turning and leaving, and when he reaches Nos’ side, he presses my red lacy panties to my god’s chest, and then leaves without another word.
My mouth drops open before I giggle. Nos’ eyebrow arches as he looks at the panties then at me. “Looks like you two are finally getting on?” he asks.
I shrug and lean back on the desk as he wanders over. He lifts me so I sit fully on the desk and steps between my legs. I reach up and wrap my arms around his neck. “Sort of, we agree on the fucking part.”
He shakes his head, a laugh tumbling out. “I can see that. Come on, Little Monster. Time to learn what we came here for.” He goes to step away and I frown.
Yanking on his neck, I pull him down and he reluctantly bends his head so I can kiss him softly. He groans, his tongue tangling with mine as he grips the back of my head. I pull back and rest my forehead against his. “I don’t know what I would do without you, you pulled me from that grave and haven’t left me ever since,” I whisper, needing him to know how much he means to me.
“You never have to worry, Little Monster, nothing you ever do will make me leave you. I am at your back at all times,” he promises and I smile.
“Promise?” I beg.
“Forever, Little Monster. You will never get away from me.” He seals it with a kiss that leaves me breathless before stepping back.
I hop down from the desk and we share a grin, and I watch as he pockets the panties. I don’t ask. We twine our fingers together and head back to Ray and Griffin.
I ignore Dawn and Nos as they enter the room hand in hand, instead focusing on Ray. Nos had obviously tied him up while I was busy with Dawn, and he’s sitting in the middle of the living room now. His hands and legs are bound by rope to a wooden kitchen chair. When I nudge his head up, I smirk at the busted lip and black eye—looks like the god doesn’t like others touching his woman either.
“Who are you selling the girls to?” I demand, crouching on the floor in front of him while I play with one of the knives that are stashed on my body.
“Fuck you,” he slurs, spitting blood at my feet.
“No thanks, I just fucked her.” I jerk my chin at Dawn before swiftly grabbing one of his fingers and pressing my knife under his nail.
“Who?” I ask for the last time, already bored of this game.
The house smells like Dawn and sex, and it’s driving me crazy. The quicker we get out of here the better. I don’t want to look at her anymore. I gave in a second fucking time. I let her see the madness that lurks within me. I can’t let that happen again. I never want her to fear me, even if I don’t want her and have no plans on keeping her.
I dig the knife into the bed under his nails and pull up quickly, ripping it away. He screams and his face pales, and I lean back. “Bets on if he passes out?” she says with a laugh, and when I look over, she’s sitting on the sofa to the right, watching me intently, with that fucking smile flirting on her lips. I look back at the man when he screams again.
Blood is welling where his nail once was and he’s looking at in horror. “I can keep going, eventually you will break. You decide how much torture you go through first,” I inform him in a bored voice, twisting my knife in the light to check for blood.
“What-what do you want?” he slurs.
“Keep up, will you? Who do you sell the girls to?” I demand, trying to take shallow breaths as the smell of her seems to intensify. It both calms me and drives me mad, and I don’t know how it’s fucking possible.
“I don’t know, we don’t do names. Marco just called them ‘The Others’!” he yells, and when I sigh and lean forward he starts fighting in his bonds. “I swear! All I do I is get a text with a drop off location, then they meet me and I take one girl at a time.”
I lean back and look over at Dawn and Nos.
“They text you where to meet them?” she clarifies.
“Yes! From a burner phone,” he replies, looking at her desperately, like she would save him. He should have learned by now, she’s a bigger monster than both of us.
“When’s the next one?” She glares.
He stops struggling, throwing us all pleading looks. “Tomorrow night, nine PM, east side docks. One girl.”
She gets off the sofa and crouches at my side. I find myself leaning in and sniffing her without meaning to, and almost kick myself.
“Do they know what the girl looks like before?” she asks and I glare, knowing where this is going.
“No, they just know it’s a girl, but I have to be there,” he adds. Maybe he isn’t as stupid as I thought.
“That’s not a problem,” she purrs, the sound going straight to my cock.
She looks over at me with a smile. “I’ll be bait, I can keep him in line and we can see who we’re up against.”
“No,” I say and turn back to the Ray.
She ignores me and keeps talking. “You have a better plan? Know any girls we could use, and then I could go as dickwad here?” She jerks her thumb at Ray who is looking between us, obviously trying to figure out if he’s going to die or get tortured some more.
“I say we bring him with us for now while we think over what we need to do. We can tie him up and gag him in your basement,” Nos suggests, intervening on the argument brewing between us.
“Fine,” I grit out and stand. I reach down automatically and offer her my hand. When I realise what I’ve done, I swear. She grabs it and I pull her to her feet before letting go, the soft skin of her hand burning a trace where we touched.
“Let’s go,” I growl.
I have been driving for over four hours when I get bored of the open road, not to mention my dragon is roaring inside, hating being trapped in this metal can. Sighing, I pull over to a picnic area and get out of the car to stretch my legs.
No one is around for miles, and the late afternoon sun heats my skin as I reach up to the sky and twist my back to get out all the stiffness from being hunched over the wheel.
Rounding the back of the car, I peek into the boot to see what Jean Paul has packed for me. I didn’t look before I left, since I was more bothered about getting on the road and reaching Dawn.
I rifle through the bags and spot the clothes, and even some weapons. Underneath is a wooden chest, protected by the clothes. Running my hands over the carvings on top, I sigh. It has
been a long time since I looked inside this box.
I gave it to my human keepers when I had decided to retreat. It holds all of my lineage’s heritage and artifacts. The very first ring ever given between the dragon king and his queen, my crown, and so much more. Laying my hand on top, I feel the magic pulsing through the box, calling me to open it.
I hear a car gunning down the road so I quickly cover the box and busy myself in the boot, thinking they will drive past so I can go for a run at least and stretch out my body before I continue on my way. I have calculated it should take at least four or five days to reach Dawn with minimal stops.
But the car doesn’t drive past. In fact, I hear them slow down before it pulls onto the gravel behind me. Shutting the boot, I turn around to face them, feeling paranoid, and when I spot the symbol on their chests through the front window, I swear.
How do they keep finding me? I know the car isn’t being tracked or bugged, I swept it myself, my paranoia too ingrained to trust Jean Paul completely.
Walking away from the car to give myself some room, I head onto the grass next to the gravel and place the trees at my back as I wait for them to get out of the car. I see them hesitating, obviously expecting to have caught me off guard. They clearly don’t know a lot about dragons.
Holding my hands out, I gesture for them to come over with a smile. I wish they would hurry up. Don’t they realise I have places to be? Silly hunters.
The doors finally open and four men pour out. Really, four? I am disappointed. I am betting they were only supposed to tail me, but it looks like they are getting brave.
“Just imaging how much pussy and fame we will get if we bring in a dragon!” the driver hisses at the passengers, and I hold up my hand.
They stop, sharing a look, before glaring over at me cockily as they puff out their chests.
“I’m going to stop you there, gentlemen. Yes, I can hear everything you are saying, I can also hear your hearts pounding and smell your fear. This is how it’s going to go. You are going to try and attack me, I am going to kill you all. Or, I will let one of you live for messenger purposes. Your choice. I will give you thirty seconds, feel free to discuss.” I wave between them as I start to hum, glancing around to give them some form of privacy.
“What do you think?” one of them whispers, not the driver.
“Shut the fuck up Lo, we are killing this cocky fucker!” he shouts, obviously realising I can hear them, no matter what volume they speak.
Looking back at them, I grin as they start coming towards me. They freeze again. “One question, which one is Lo?” I ask conversationally.
The brown-haired, mousy man at the back raises his hand as sweat pours down his head and he glances at the others. “Brilliant, thank you. Proceed,” I command.
They are all wearing black—really, what is with the monotone—and the crest of hunters somewhere on their body. I notice each is carrying a gun, and one man has a net and another a knife. I need to kill them before they shoot, being shot isn’t fun, and I don’t have time to heal, but if they knew they were hunting a dragon they might have altered their bullets to contain Yret—a flower grown in our region, which can be deadly to dragons in certain doses.
I have built up a tolerance, a request made by the council to make sure I could not be poisoned, but it has been a while since I last ingested some and I fear it would slow me down and render me useless for a while. A break I can’t afford.
They rush me with a pitiful war cry. Lo and one of the others hangs back, allowing the other two to circle me. One of them spits at my feet and I memorise his face, he will pay for that. No one disrespects a dragon and gets away with it.
Tired of waiting for them to make the first move, I jump the second man and snap his neck easily. As he falls to the ground, I prowl towards the driver.
He glances at the fallen man before glaring at me. “Three way split, no big deal,” he bluffs and I grin.
Wagging my finger, I advance as he steps back. “You shouldn’t have done that, little boy,” I warn and I watch his Adam’s apple bob as he gulps.
He steps back without looking and he goes down hard, tripping over a discarded can. Grinning, I leap forward. He scrambles to his feet and I lift him into the air by his neck.
I hear the others moving closer, thinking they are sneaking up on me. I laugh and grab the man’s jaw hard with my other hand, wrenching it open. Grabbing his tongue, I look into his eyes and snarl, “Time to teach you some manners, boy.” I rip it out and drop it to the ground.
He screams, his eyes bulging out, before he goes limp in my hand. Turning, I throw him at his friends and they shout as they go down under him. “Come on boys, look, I’ll even give you a fair chance,” I taunt, holding my hands behind my back and waiting for them to get to their feet.
Lo looks at the unconscious man and pales. He glances at me and back to the man, but the other one yells as he rushes forward, and he fires the net gun but I easily dodge it.
He grabs his other gun and aims and fires as he walks, bullet after bullet. I smell the flower, Yret, in the air and sigh. I concentrate on them as they near me and I manage to duck all but one, which embeds in my left arm, sending it to sleep right away, before crawling veins of agony start there. I need to end this now, he just royally pissed me off.
My dragon roars his agreement in my head and I narrow my eyes on the man. “Run. Run now, little human,” I warn.
He grapples with the gun, trying to reload, and I sprint at him, too fast for the poor human eye to see. Grabbing the gun out of his shaking hands, I aim it at his crotch and fire, making him scream before I place it to his forehead and shoot him between the eyes.
I drop the gun and turn to Lo who falls to his knees, crying already, and I haven’t even touched him. Crouching down, I tilt my head animalistically as I eye him.
“How do you keep finding me?” I growl.
He shakes his head, opening his mouth, but only a high-pitched noise comes out.
“Tell me and I will kill you quickly,” I offer.
He lets out a sob but nods, wiping his nose with his hand, obviously realising he isn’t getting out of this alive. A dragon always keeps his words, so I will offer him a quick death.
“Th-they are working with some people. People who knew you were back. They have—” He looks around before lowering his voice. “Witches with them, I didn’t even know they existed, but they traced you somehow and sent updates to our phones.”
Growling, I surge to my feet, making the human whimper and cower in fear. “Who, who are they working with?” I demand.
“I don’t know—I swear! Th-they call themselves The Others!” he screams.
I nod with my hands clenched into fists by my side. “Anything else?” I growl.
He recoils closer to the ground. “We are the only team on this side right now, we are normally spread out so it’s taking a while for them to recall them to go after you.”
I blow out a breath, and smoke curls from my nose and he screams. “Thank you,” I growl in a mix between human and dragon, before I reach forward and snap his neck.
Turning around, I spot the other man. He is on his knees with his hands covering his mouth as he tries to scream. I step forward and lift him to his feet by his hair, and once he is standing, I punch my hand through his chest and crush his heart.
Pulling my arm back, I let him drop to the earth before admiring all my hard work. Frowning at the blood and bits of bone covering my arm, I look around and sigh before leaning down and ripping off the rest of the man’s shirt. I use the rag to clean my arm before dropping it on top of his corpse.
I walk back to the cars and stop at theirs to do a search. I check two of their phones but like they said, they are burners and not much good. The only other items are fast food wrappers and some weapons. Sighing, I leave their car on the side of the road for their hunter brethren to find as I make my way back to mine.
I was going to head straight to Dawn, but with
a witch tracer on me, I can’t. First, I need to find a witch I can trust to break it, and fast before the hunters find me again, because this time they will be bringing reinforcements.
I throw the human scum at the pipe in the corner of the basement, before I stomp down after him and quickly tie him up while he’s unconscious. On the way back here he’d become mouthy and Nos had knocked him out. Luckily for him, he’s still sleeping.
Heading back upstairs, I shut the basement door and walk into the kitchen. Nos and Dawn are already there, the paperwork still spread between them, as she laughs at whatever he just said.
I grab a bottle of Jack from the side and pour myself a glass, then relax in one of the seats at the table. Dawn reaches over and grabs the bottle as Nos gets up and grabs two more glasses, and brings them over. She pours them and they both sip the whiskey as I snort.
“Make yourself at home,” I say snidely.
She grins over at me, reclining with the glass in her hand. “I will.”
“What do we do about the meeting?” Nos interrupts, probably a good thing since it would have only spiraled into another argument.
Dawn grins at me over her glass before turning back to Nos. “Well, Fallen here thinks he can get us a female stand in, then I can just feed off Ray Ray down there, and change into him. Then we go to the meeting, figure out who the fuck The Others are, and kill them all.” She toasts us, and Nos laughs.
“Fucking perfect, vasculo, and what about when they figure out you aren’t him? Or when they try to take the girl?” I point out.
She reaches over and presses a finger to my lips, shushing me. “We will sort that out when we get to it. Now, can you get us a girl or not?”
Pulling away from her, I lean back from her touch before I do something stupid like bend her over the fucking table. “I can get us a girl. I am a man after all,” I tease, trying to get a rise out of her on purpose.
She narrows her eyes on me, and I see jealousy flare there as they flash black before she relaxes in her chair and sips her whiskey. “I’m going to need clothes that will fit me in that body. I’m not wearing his.” She shivers in disgust and I growl at her for ignoring my jab.
