Lost in a Moment (Trials of Fear Book 4) Page 28

Chuckling, I squirmed over and found Gray in the dark. I was worried the storm and power outage would be too much, but he didn’t seem to notice either. I tipped his face to me and felt along his cheek until he hissed.

  “You’re bleeding.”

  “I’ll live.”

I kissed him, and we both broke into a fit of laughter once again.

“You know,” I said, resting my head on his chest. “I don’t think we should ever have children.”

He laughed even harder. “If this is any indication, then I agree. We have our hands full enough.”

His fingers found my hair, and he twisted and toyed with my curls. He lifted my head and found my mouth in the dark. “I love you, Beckett O’Keefe.”

I chuckled. “I love you, Grayson Brooks.”

  “Should we get dinner?”

“Not yet. Let’s lay here a bit longer. You okay with the dark?”

“As long as you stay with me. Keep talking to me. Keep loving me.”

  “Always. I’m not going anywhere.”

  THE END

Thank you for reading Grayson and Beckett’s story. I’d be forever grateful if you could take a few minutes and leave a review on Amazon, Goodreads and/or BookBub. Even a couple of sentences help tremendously.

Stay Tuned for Book 5 in the Trials of Fear

  Cibophobia

  Fear of food.

For years, Arden McMillian has been hiding his phobia in plain sight. People can believe whatever they want to believe about him so long as they never learn the truth. It’s easier to lie than to be seen as a coward. Besides, it’s no one’s business but his own.

It’s been ten years since Ignatius Rojas—or Iggy—has seen Arden. Their reunion doesn’t suit either of their families, but their connection is hard to ignore.

The problem is, Iggy sees behind Arden’s masks. He sees the way Arden is slowly killing himself, and he can only ignore it for so long. If he can’t break through Arden’s tough shell and convince him he needs help, he could end up burying the man he’s growing to love.
