“Oh, God, please no. Just stop right there, little girl. I don’t even want to think about that shit going on.” He shudders.

“You know we’ve had sex. So, what is up with that?”

“You’re like my daughters age. So, no I don’t want to hear that shit.”

  Chapter Thirteen

  Samantha…

Coming out of the bathroom, I try to act seductive but with the cane, it doesn’t come off that way. I give up and Brett laughs at me. “What the hell is so funny?”

“Come here, honey. I want to love on you. Your sexy with or without the cane. I’ve missed this,” he tells me.

I see his eyes droop downward, then move up and down my body. They are heated. I lick my bottom lip as I walk toward him as I slowly remove my silky robe. I even shaved my legs today, I think to myself. I have no freaking clue why I even thought of that and I start laughing out loud.

“What are you laughing about? This isn’t a laughing matter, honey. My dick has been hard for a long time. I need you.”

“I’m not laughing about that. I was walking toward you and thought to myself that I had even shaved my legs.” I chuckle.

“Wouldn’t matter if you had or not. I like them smooth but at this point, I don’t give a shit,” he tells me gruffly. “Now get over here.”

“I’m coming, old man. Give me a minute to get there.”

I get to the bed and he pulls me on top of him. He groans when I slide across the top of his dick as I straddle his hips. I lean downward and kiss him on his lips, softly and slowly, teasing him. He reaches up and tugs my head down and takes over pushing his tongue in my mouth. I savor the taste, texture and dance of it. It’s hot and it’s making me wetter by the second.

  Dog…

“This is my show sweetheart. You’re back and you’re not leaving me again. You hear me? Your mine, now and always,” I tell her. She needs to know she isn’t running the show anymore. I love this woman more than the air I breathe.

“Love me, Brett. I need you, honey.”

“When you acknowledge you’re mine and aren’t going anywhere again,” I tell her as I run my hands up and down her sides. I slow down, nudging my head downward toward her titties. I am a man and love all things that make up a woman. I run my tongue up and around the tip of her tit, tugging gently. I hear her moan as she arches her back. She loves it when I play with them. She can come from just that.

“Do you understand me, Samantha? You are mine. I won’t have you running again. We work shit out when you get pissed off at me. No more kicking me out,” I growl at her. “Answer me, Sam.”

“Okay, just fuck me already. I need you, you tease,” she whimpers.

“I’m going to show you teasing. Now tell me what I want to hear. No more running. We talk it out.”

She finally looks up into my eyes. “I promise. I love you, Brett, I think I fell in love with you the day I pierced your cock.” She ends her words on a whisper.

“I love you so much, Samantha. I wouldn’t know what to do if you weren’t in my life. You make me whole. I’ve always needed that. The way I was raised didn’t make for a stable homelife.”

“Sounds like we need each other.”

I bend down and kiss her, starting on her lips, then her chin to her neck and the further down I go the more she squirms. I end with my mouth on her pussy and before I get done eating her out, I’ve made her come three times with just my mouth. I take care of her, then work on myself and her too. I slide up gently, so as to not jar her leg and lean in to touch her lips. My tongue dances with hers, dancing to the tunes on the radio, showing her this way with my mouth what’s going to happen in a minute with my dick. I let her taste herself on my mouth. She tastes like a ripe melon.

“Are you still on birth control?” I ask her. I couldn’t really care less if she is or not, but I don’t want to take that decision out of her hands right now. I would love to see her get big and round with my babies.

  “Hm,” she replies.

  “Is that a yes, sweetheart?”

“Yes,” she moans out with a wail. “Make love with me. I need you, honey.”

I slide right in, starting slowly, like a dance getting more frenzied as she gets even closer to another orgasm. She is so hyped tonight. I go from slow to fast, calm to frenzied, making sure she is with me every step of the way as darkness fades to the sunlight of a new day.

Days have passed and one seems to blend into the next one with ease. I haven’t had to go anywhere but stay here with Samantha. We’re waiting on information about the accident from other sources. We can’t seem to figure out what the connection is between all the accidents that seem to be happening within the club. We have even begun looking into her time at the orphanage. So far, we haven’t found a damn thing.

Samantha is now walking without any aides, not even the cane unless she is extremely tired. She’s been bugging me about going back to work. I finally relented, and she is going back part-time next week. I’m worried about her being away from the MC but know that Jax will watch over her. I also don’t want her to overdo it.

“Samantha, we don’t need to get you a car right now. Let’s wait until you’re completely healed. Then you can go pick one out.”

“I know you’re worried. I’m not saying you won’t be taking me back and forth, but I want my own vehicle. You can go with me and help me pick out one that’s safe,” she tells me with her arms around my neck. She’s learning how to play me and she does it well.

“Fine. we’ll go tomorrow to look. I’m still taking you back and forth. You’re not going to drive by yourself for a while. I need to make sure you’re safe.”

  Chapter Fourteen

  Dog…

When I get up the next morning, I need coffee badly. Walking into the bar toward the kitchen, I see Crane talking to Bossman. I head in that direction. It looks like something is up by the expression on Crane’s face.

“What can we do to help you? Are you sure she’s yours?” I hear Bossman ask Crane.

“Yes, I’m sure. I need to go pick her up. I have some other shit to discuss with you all when I get back. I’ve had the DNA test done to confirm it though. I’m so fucked,” Crane states.

“What’s up, brother? Anything I can do to help?” I ask him.

“Yes. I need to talk to you and Samantha when I get back. For right now, I need to go get my daughter,” Crane states.

“I’m here, and I’ll do my best to make that happen. You need to borrow my car?” I ask him.

“Yeah, that would be great if I could. I have to travel to West Virginia to get her. She lives on the eastern side of the state.”

“I’ll catch you up on what’s going on, Dog,” Bossman tells me.

I just nod, handing over the keys to my car. As I do, I see Samantha come out into the bar.

“Hey, Crane, you okay?” Samantha hollers out to him. Crane stops and I hear some mumbling while they talk. I know that they’ve gotten close over the last few weeks.

I walk to get a cup of coffee and grab one for Sam while I’m at it. I notice that no one seems to be around this morning. I need to get some paperwork done and filed before we go look for a car.

I walk back to Bossman and we have a seat at the table. I look over and see Samantha walk toward us. She’s got tears in her eyes.

Bossman looks at me. “Looks like Crane has a daughter that is four years old. She’s with child protective services right now. Her mom was killed in a car accident. Crane is listed as the father. He didn’t know anything about her until about a month ago. He had the DNA test completed and was working on getting child support set up for her. He said something along the lines that he wasn’t going to fail this time. That he needed to own up. Don’t know what the hell that meant, but he’s on his way to go pick her up.”

“Wow, I never saw that coming. He’s been pretty quiet until I had him watching Samantha. He doesn’t really take up with any of the sweet butts. I just thought he got his s
trange somewhere else. I guessed right; he did somewhere,” I tell Bossman with a chuckle.

“He has an older child—one that was left in the system. We got to know one another while I was recuperating. He feels guilty for shit beyond his control. Did you know he spent time behind bars, four years to be exact for an armed robbery he didn’t commit? It was by accident that evidence came in that exonerated him. They never even apologized to him. Little girl’s momma had cancer. It was bad. That’s why he was contacted about a DNA test. The momma didn’t want the little girl in the system,” Samantha tells us.

“I had no idea. Did you Dog?” Bossman asks.

“Never knew. I didn’t even know about the DNA testing,” I tell them.

“Okay, smartass, what are you doing today? I need to go get shit started, so that we can sign the paperwork on the restaurant that we’re purchasing. I need to put in for a new sign for the restaurant,” he tells me.

“I’m going to try and get some shit done at the garage. Have you seen Spider?” I ask.

“He took off this morning. He told me he had shit to do today. Was going to finish the car he was working on then take off. I’m not sure what he was up to.”

“I have shit to do. Then Samantha and I are going to look for a new car for her. I’ll talk to you later,” I tell them as I reach down and kiss Samantha on the lips.

“Love you, little lady. See you in a couple of hours, okay?” I tell Samantha.

She nods her head letting me know she heard me.

I go out and look around, deciding I’ll take my bike so I don’t need to come back over here when I get done talking with Spider. I haven’t gotten to talk to him much lately.

Walking into the body shop, I see him working on a vehicle I haven’t ever seen before.

“Hey, Spider. How’s it going?” I ask him as I walk toward him.

“Not bad. Got this new customer to take care of. Younger kid, about twenty-three, I would guess. Got brains but I don’t think he uses them often. I’ve seen him in town. Anyway, I’ll have this done and ready for him when he picks it up later today. What are you doing?”

“We’ll be making some decisions on the other businesses tomorrow during church. I’m going to finish up paperwork and then run some graphs for the new places so everyone can see them. They’re both moneymakers. The restaurant will be open from five ‘til ten daily. We need to find a manager for it. Any ideas?”

“I’ll think on it. Don’t know a lot of people yet in this area.”

“That works. Crane is gone. Don’t know when he’ll get back. He’s going to pick up his four-year-old daughter.”

“No shit? I had no idea he even had kids.”

“Actually, he’s got another one too. Don’t know much. He said he had a lot to atone for. Guess we’ll find out when he gets back.”

  “Wow,” Spider replies.

“I’m going to the office for a while. When I get done, I’ll let you know I’m leaving.”

Spider nods his head as he puts his head back under the hood of that nice ride.

I’m sitting in the office when my cell rings. Glancing at the number, I notice it’s Trent.

“Hey, man, how’s it going?” I ask.

“Not bad. Hey, we never got to talk. I wanted to let you know some information I found,” he states.

  “Okay… What’s up?”

“Crane is Samantha’s dad. Apparently, his wife died during childbirth. He went nomad at some point. I’m not seeing him as a brother until later on. He ended up in prison and a bunch of other shit.” He pauses for a second. “You need to sit him down and find out what the fuck happened. We take care of ours. I don’t know what happened or what order they happened in. This is a fucking mess.”

“You’re shitting me? How did you find out? I know Crane has another kid. Samantha told me. I just had no idea that it could possibly be Samantha.”

“Whiz broke into the system and found the old records. I just had a feeling about it all. Remember when we thought he went rogue with Capone? Well, I decided to do some more digging,” Trent replies.

“I’ll look into it ASAP. If he is Samantha’s dad, fuck, I don’t even know what to say. He went to pick up his four-year-old daughter he recently found out about. Let me try to call him,” I tell Trent.

“Keep me posted. I have nothing else at the moment. If I find anything else out, I will let you know right away. I’ve always cared about her. She had a shit life. I want to kick his ass.”

“I’ll call him now. If he doesn’t have a good enough excuse, I will let you kick his ass after I get mine in,” I tell Trent as we hang up with each other.

Picking up the phone, I dial the number for Crane and with each second I have to wait for him to pick up, I feel the heat of anger building in my system. By the time the phone is answered on the other end, I’m so mad if I could reach through the phone, I would yank him here and beat the hell out of him. I pray a mistake has been made.

“Yo, Dog, everything okay?” Crane asks.

“Yo, motherfucker, want to explain why Samantha doesn’t know you’re her dad?” I growl so ferociously, you can actually see the spittle fly out of my mouth.

“Ah fuck me. How the hell did you find out? This is not how I wanted any of you to find out. It’s why I wanted to talk to you and Samantha on my return. I have letters in my room for her. One’s that I planned on giving her when I got back. One’s that I wrote her throughout her childhood,” he swears.

“What the fuck? You know what she went through. You still haven’t told her. I ought to beat your ass, you motherfucker!” I yell at him. I’m seeing red. He never should have kept that from her. “She has the right to know.”

“Man, wait ‘til I get home. I will tell her. Wait. Please,” Crane begs.

“I can’t do that. I won’t put her last anymore. I promised her. I promised myself that we come first with each other. She needs to know and process the information before you get back,” I tell him.

“I wish you would wait, but I understand,” he states. “I’ll be home in three days, maybe four. Call me if you need anything. I have to wait until the day after tomorrow to get Catlin from the home,” he whispers.

“Yeah, I’ll see you then. I pray she can forgive you. She needs her father. Are you going to finally fucking stand up and be one?” I ask.

“Fuck, yes I am. I love her. She is such a wonderful young lady,” he tells me.

“About fucking time,” I tell him as I slam the phone down and disconnect at the same time.

“Fuuuucccckkkkkk!” I roar out. “What the fuck else is going to fuck up? She can’t take much more and neither can I.”

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Spider asks. “I could hear you all the way out here in the garage over the impact drill.”

“This shit is all fucked up. I have to go find and talk to Samantha now. Don’t tell anyone, but Crane is Samantha’s dad. All this time and he’s never said a word—not one fucking word. Who the fuck does this shit? He knew what she went through after she told us some of her story. He never, not once, fucking spoke up. How fucking jacked is that?” I pace back and forth. The longer I do it, the more agitated I become. “Where is Bossman?” I ask. “Find him for me. I need to see him ASAP,” I growl out.

I see Spider reach in his pants pocket for his phone, dial and start talking. I’m so zoned out. There’s a buzzing in my ears, so I don’t even hear his conversation.

I’m pacing, trying to wrap my mind around what this may do to my lady. My headspace is a mess.

“Dog. Hey, asshole.” I see Spider snapping his fingers in my face. “Come back, man. Listen, Bossman is on his way. Said to meet in the office at the clubhouse. Man, I had to tell him what was going on before he would listen to me. Said he would be fifteen minutes. Let’s lock up the office. The shop can be run by the prospects for what little time is left. They can clean up and go home after. I got the new car done for that new customer. They’ll be in to pick it up
in the morning early.”

We lock up and head toward the clubhouse. I see her as soon as we walk through the door. She has a smile on her face and is laughing at something Flipper says. I stop and see her as she glances over and sees me standing there. She says something to Flipper and Mrs. Franks as she turns and walks toward me. She wraps her arms around me as I do with her.

“I didn’t know you would be back this soon. I thought I wouldn’t see you until later this evening. It’s a nice surprise,” she states as she leans up and kisses me.

“I’m meeting with Bossman and Spider over something. We need to talk later this evening?” I say to her.

“I would love to spend time with you. Always. You know that,” she replies.

“I love you, lady. You know that, right?” I tell her.

“I love you, too. Everything okay?” she asks me.

“It will be, honey. I promise,” I say.

I hear the door slam open, and Bossman walks in. He looks as pissed off as I am.

“Let’s go to the office. We got shit to talk about,” he snarls out. “You good, Sam?” he asks her.

“Yeah, doing a little baking today. It’s cooking now,” she tells him with a smile.

“Be back shortly, honey,” I tell her before leaning in and kissing her on the lips.

We all walk off toward the office, each of us grabbing a bottle of water before leaving the bar area. We walk in, and I slam the door behind us.

“What the fuck is going on?” Bossman asks me.

“Trent called, with info on Crane. I called to confront him and it’s true. He’s Samantha’s dad. Trent said he had a feeling that there was more to Crane than what they got out of him while questioning him about Capone. So, he had Whiz do some digging,” I tell them.

“Well, ain’t that just fucking hunky dory bullshit. Why the fuck didn’t he come to us? He should have known we take care of our own,” Bossman states.

“I know. In all honesty, I don’t think he was with the club at the time. We’ll have to ask him those questions later. He did say he had letters in his room for her. We need them, or I need them for her. I don’t suppose you could go get them, would you Spider?” I ask as I sit in front of Bossman’s desk.
