“Like you think I’m being cute or something,” Joker grumbled.

“Oh, Babe, you’re very far from being cute. You are sweet though.” He placed a kiss to Joker’s lips, then leaned back. “Thank you. For protecting me.”

Joker arched a brow at him. “I thought you hated when I did that?”

  “I did. Now I don’t.”

“Well that’s not confusing at all,” Joker said with a shake of his head.

Gabe chuckled and when they laid back down, he snuggled close to Joker and whispered, “You have no idea.”

  Chapter Ten

  Joker

  “I’M GONNA kill him.”

Gabe glanced up from his cereal, a raised brow his only response. Joker leaned back in his chair with a grunt. They’d had to put up with Sean for six days. Sean had been taking a shower for the past twenty minutes and he’d been singing loudly and badly every second of it.

“He’s just doing it to get on your nerves,” Gabe said.

  “I know,” Joker ground out.

Right then, Sean hit a high-ass note that made the headache he’d already given Joker that much worse. Joker pushed back his chair and stormed into the hallway where he knocked hard on the bathroom door.

“Sean? Get your ass out of the shower. Some of us need to get to fucking work,” he yelled.

The water turned off and a few seconds later, the door was pulled open, revealing a very naked Sean. Joker cursed and stepped back, slapping a hand over his eyes. That was the last fucking thing he wanted to see.

  “Towel, Sean. God damned.”

“Right. I thought I’d forgotten something,” Sean said.

He felt Sean walk past him. He removed his hand and promptly groaned. Sean was walking to Gabe’s room, still naked. Gabe showed up in the doorway to the living room, his eyes going wide when he saw Sean.

“Gabe,” Sean said and ran his eyes over Gabe’s bare chest before disappearing into his room.

Gabe turned his gaze on Joker, an amused smile on his lips. Joker shook his head and turned to walk into the bathroom. Before he could close the door, Gabe slid inside and turned the lock.

Joker arched a brow at him and jerked a thumb over his shoulder towards the shower. “We can’t both fit in there.”

“We don’t have to,” Gabe said.

Joker watched as Gabe slid past him to the shower where he turned on the water. Gabe’s eyes were twinkling with mischief as he walked back to Joker. He stopped right in front of him and all air left Joker when Gabe got on his knees. His hands automatically went to the back of Gabe’s head as a curse fell from his lips.

“Gabe,” he warned, throwing a glance over his shoulder. Of course, all he saw was the door, but it was Sean he was worried about.

Gabe ran his hands up Joker’s thighs, then up under his shirt.

“I’ll stop if you want me to,” Gabe said.

He met Gabe’s gaze. He didn’t care what other people did in private, or in public. That had just never appealed to him. Of course, Gabe would be the one to pull him out of his shell. How the hell was he supposed to refuse when he had those gorgeous brown eyes looking up at him while Gabe’s hands were sliding across his heated skin?

  “Fuck,” he breathed. “Fine.”

  “Really?” Gabe asked, sounding ecstatic.

Joker nodded and Gabe didn’t waste any time, leaning close to put his lips on Joker’s stomach. His muscles contracted and he bit his tongue to hold back the sound trying to escape. Gabe smiled against his skin. Fuck. Gabe was gonna drive him crazy.

His dick was already hard when Gabe reached for the waistband of his sweatpants. Gabe glanced up, holding Joker’s gaze as he pulled his pants down. Joker tugged his shirt over his head and threw it on the floor with his pants. Gabe licked his lips and glanced up at Joker before wrapping a hand around Joker’s cock. Gabe dipped his head to lick across the head, pressing the tip of his tongue into the slit. Joker cursed when his hips bucked forward.

Gabe moved back, grinning before he took Joker deep into his mouth. The heat and suction made Joker’s eyes roll into the back of his head. Something that sounded like a whimper fell from his lips. Gabe sucked him down greedily, moaning around Joker’s cock.

“Put your hands behind your back,” Joker said.

Gabe glanced up at him but didn’t hesitate to follow the directions. Gabe looked gorgeous like that, down on his knees in front of him. Hell, he was just gorgeous. Joker cupped Gabe’s face.

“Let me know if you need to stop,” he said and slid his fingers into Gabe’s hair.

Gabe hummed in answer, making Joker hiss at the sensation. He tightened his hold on Gabe’s hair and thrust his hip, pushing his cock deeper into Gabe’s mouth. It felt amazing. Gabe felt amazing.

He kept up a hard pace, but Gabe never complained. He watched his cock slide in and out of Gabe’s mouth. God. That mouth. That hot, talented mouth. It’d been too long. His showers had been longer than usual because the only other time they’d managed anything was when Sean had taken a phone call from one of his clients. That was three days ago. He hadn’t touched Gabe since.

He was getting close, his balls drawing up. He gritted his teeth as his orgasm slammed into him, making him dizzy with pleasure. Gabe swallowed every drop, his eyes on Joker’s the whole time. Joker moved back, his cock slipping free of Gabe’s mouth.

He pulled Gabe to his feet and brought their mouths together, sliding his tongue past Gabe’s lips. He tasted himself on Gabe’s tongue and moaned. He pushed Gabe backwards until he was leaning against the sink, then he pulled back and got on his knees.

  “Oh, fuck,” Gabe breathed.

Joker glanced up at him, finding Gabe watching him with burning heat in his brown eyes. He pulled down Gabe’s boxers. He put his hands on Gabe’s waist and pressed a kiss to Gabe’s hipbone. He kissed a path down first one thigh then the other. Gabe’s legs quivered under his touch.

  “Fuck. Joker.”

Joker grinned against Gabe’s skin. Driving Gabe crazy was becoming one of his favorite pass times. He slid his hands around to grab Gabe’s ass, earning himself a groan and a barely audible curse. He pressed his lips to Gabe’s stomach while kneading and pulling apart Gabe’s ass cheeks.

Gabe grabbed Joker’s hair, tugging hard until Joker looked up at him.

“Stop teasing me,” Gabe said. “Please, Kerrigan.”

Joker sucked in a sharp breath, not expecting to hear his name on Gabe’s lips or how much it turned him on. Teasing Gabe had woken his dick up and he was already half-hard. He moved one hand to wrap around Gabe’s cock. Precome had pearled at the tip so he licked it off before sucking the head into his mouth. The hold on his hair tightened and he took Gabe to the back of his throat.

He slid his hand down to fondle Gabe’s balls and tease his taint while he sucked Gabe’s cock. Gabe’s hips jerked forward, pushing further into Joker’s mouth. Joker took his to the back of his throat and swallowed.

“Kerrigan,” Gabe said in what sounded like a prayer.

Joker let Gabe’s cock slip from his lips and got to his feet. He turned Gabe around, making him grab onto the sink. Gabe moaned and pushed his ass back against Joker who let out a hiss when his cock slid against Gabe’s skin.

Joker grabbed a bottle of hand lotion from the sink and squirted some into his hand. He got his own cock good and wet before reaching around Gabe to wrap his fingers around his length. He kissed a path down the side of Gabe’s neck, licking and nibbling. He thrust his hips, his cock sliding between Gabe’s ass cheeks. He looked up, meeting Gabe’s burning gaze in the mirror. Fuck. He could watch Gabe like that forever. He was so fucking hot. Joker moved the hand around Gabe’s cock at the same pace as he thrust against him.

Gabe turned his head and Joker caught his lips in a searing kiss. He felt his orgasm building and thrust harder against Gabe. He bit down on the spot between Gabe’s neck and shoulder as pleasure washed over him. He spurted over Gabe’s back and ass.

  “Fu
ck. Kerrigan. Yes,” Gabe said, his words ending in a loud moan.

He loved how vocal Gabe was with him. Loved hearing Gabe say his name. He found that spot beneath Gabe’s ear, licking and kissing while Gabe came all over Joker’s hand. Joker kept pumping his hand until Gabe got too sensitive. He placed a kiss to the back of Gabe’s shoulder before pulling away.

“You should shower first,” Joker said.

Gabe turned around and pulled Joker back to kiss him. Gabe’s lips were soft but demanding against his. He cupped Gabe’s cheeks and they stood there for a while, just kissing and slowly coming down from their high.

While Gabe showered, Joker cleaned up their mess. Gabe didn’t take long and when he was done, Joker gave him a kiss before getting in the shower.

  Gabe

He let Joker take his shower and snuck out the door. He listened for Sean but the only thing he heard was the shower. He went to Joker’s room to get dressed, then he walked into the kitchen where he grabbed a bottle of water. He drank down half before putting the bottle back. He leaned against the counter, a smile on his lips.

  “So.”

Gabe turned his head. Sean was walking into the kitchen, his arms crossed, and his brows raised.

“Any chance you’ll share the details?”

Gabe let out a groan and shook his head. He knew he was blushing from the look in Sean’s eyes. He’d been doing a lot of that lately. He blamed Joker.

“Oh, well.” Sean shrugged as if he didn’t care. Sean walked into the kitchen, placing himself across from Gabe.

“That’s it?” Gabe asked, surprised Sean wasn’t grilling him for information.

“You’re no fun compared to Joker. I haven’t been able to get under his skin, like, ever. Trust me, I’ve tried. But now? It’s so damned easy,” Sean said with a wide smile.

Gabe chuckled and said, “You like to live your life on the edge, don’t you?”

“Nah. I’m just a bit crazy,” Sean said.

He could believe that. He was actually surprised that someone hadn’t tried to kill Sean before now. He must be damned good at what he did if people were willing to endure him.

He heard a door open and then footsteps coming down the hall. He hadn’t even noticed the shower cut off. Joker appeared in the doorway, only wearing a towel around his hips and holding a phone.

“Auggie called,” Joker said, his gaze on Gabe. “The Henchmen hit one of the locations.”

  “What? Already?”

Gabe pushed away from the counter. Joker nodded, then turned. Gabe followed him into his room, closing the door after himself. Joker went to his dresser and pulled out underwear and socks. Gabe sat down on the bed and ran his eyes over Joker’s back and tattoo. Joker loosened the towel and let it fall to the floor. He bent down to put on his boxers, giving Gabe a magnificent view of his ass.

Joker glanced over his shoulder. “Enjoying yourself?”

Gabe nodded and said, “Very much.”

A smile played on his lips as he raised his gaze to meet Joker’s. Joker shook his head and walked to his closet where he found a shirt and a pair of jeans. Gabe watched him get dressed, never once taking his eyes off of Joker.

“Did Auggie say which location it was?”

“No. He didn’t say much, just that we should get to the clubhouse ASAP.”

  “We?”

  Joker nodded. “Yes. We.”

Gabe felt a silly smile spread on his lips. He really, really liked the sound of that.

Joker headed towards the door and glanced over his shoulder. “You coming?”

  “Yeah.”

Gabe pushed off of the bed and walked with Joker to the living room where Sean was. Joker went to the chest in the corner and opened the lid. He pulled out a handgun and walked to Sean who was sitting on the couch. Joker laid the gun on the coffee table.

“Don’t open the door for anyone,” Joker said with a firm voice. “Don’t you dare order take-out. I will find out and I will kill you.”

Sean gave Joker an unimpressed look but nodded.

  “Whatever.”

Joker grunted and walked back towards Gabe. They put on their boots and cuts, then walked out the door. They drove to the clubhouse, Joker taking the lead as always. They parked their bikes and went inside, looking for Auggie. They found Stiletto instead. She came walking towards them, a bottle of whiskey in one hand.

“Auggie’s in his office,” she said. “The others just got here a minute ago.”

They went with her across the courtyard to the garage where Auggie’s office was. The second they stepped inside, Gabe was hit with the thick tension in the room. Rooster was standing in a corner, anger rolling off of him. Auggie was sitting behind his desk, Saint standing right next to him. King was sitting in a chair, looking way too calm. Gabe knew his father well enough to know what that meant. King was preparing himself for the worst.

Joker closed the door after them and Stiletto.

“All right,” Auggie said. He sat up straighter and took a deep breath before he spoke. “The Henchmen hit the third location at six o’clock this morning. Obviously, they didn’t find anything, and they were smart enough to get the hell out.”

“Who knew about that location?” King asked.

“Only three people. Bones, Scar, and Juno,” Stiletto said.

From what Joker had told him, the officers had all agreed to give the locations to the people they worked with. Saint had mentioned his location at the garage, Stiletto at the tattoo shop, Joker had told the enforcers, and Rooster had told Grizz at the gym, making sure some of the others overheard. Auggie had told the rest, being the gossip he was.

“Bring them in,” King said and stood.

Everyone turned their attention on him. Gabe met his father’s gaze for a few seconds. He was probably the only one there who could see the pain and betrayal in King’s eyes. The others would just see the stoic expression on his face.

“You want me to close down the tattoo shop?” Stiletto asked.

King shook his head and said, “You and Saint can take over the appointments, but we need all three of them here at the same time. We can’t risk them talking to each other. There might be more than one mole.”

  Joker

Gabe was sitting next to him on the stairs, his leg was bouncing, and he kept shooting glances towards the door. Joker laid a hand on Gabe’s shoulder, making him look up at him with his big brown eyes.

  “Easy,” Joker said.

Gabe took a shaky breath before nodding.

“Sorry. It just… It feels unreal,” Gabe said with a shake of his head.

“I know. But that’s life. You can’t always trust people. You just have to learn that only people’s motivations can truly be trusted,” Joker said.

  “You really think that?”

The way Gabe was looking at him with sadness, made him move his hand off of Gabe’s shoulder to clench it into a fist.

“I learned that the hard way.”

Gabe grabbed the banister to pull himself up. He walked down the one step to stand in front of Joker.

  “What do you mean?”

“It doesn’t matter,” Joker said and started towards the door.

Gabe grabbed him by the wrist, pulling him to a stop.

“It matters to me,” Gabe said.

Joker closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. He turned around, meeting Gabe’s gaze. He opened his mouth then glanced down, realizing that Gabe was still holding on to him. Gabe slid his hand down to grab Joker’s.

Joker didn’t move his eyes as he said, “I learned it first in the foster care system and then I got a refresher course in the army.”

Gabe squeezed his hand and Joker finally gathered enough courage to meet Gabe’s gaze.

“I’m sorry you had to experience that. I hope you know you can always trust me,” Gabe said and stepped closer. “I’ll never betray you. Kerrigan.”

Joker hummed and felt a smile tease his lips. He lifted his hand
s to cup Gabe’s cheeks.

“Somehow, I think I’ve always known that.”

Gabe wrapped his fingers around Joker’s wrists and looked up at him with pure joy shining from his eyes. Joker couldn’t stop himself from lowering his head and pressing his lips to Gabe’s. His lips were soft against Joker’s, compliant but firm. Gabe smiled into the kiss. Joker leaned back, meeting Gabe’s gaze. The happy look on Gabe’s face made him smile and he couldn’t take his eyes off of Gabe for a while.

The sound of motorcycles made him let go of Gabe and step back.

“C’mon,” he said and headed towards the door.

Gabe quickly fell into step with him. They were going to question Bones together. He’d known he wanted Gabe with him, but he also knew he needed someone who could calm him down if needed. There were only two people who’d ever been able to do that in his whole life; Zayne and Emery. But now, he didn’t doubt Gabe could do it, too.

King had called in Reaper and told him everything. At first, Reaper had been shocked, then he got pissed because they hadn’t told him before. But now he was more than ready to get to work. King and Rooster were going to question Juno while Reaper took Scar.

Joker opened the door and stepped outside. Juno, Bones, and Scar were all there, standing by their bikes. Reaper was there, too. He was leaned against a wall, watching them.

“Juno. King’s office. Bones. With me,” Joker ordered.

Joker walked back inside, Gabe and Bones following him. He led them into the room they normally used for church. Gabe pulled out a chair and motioned for Bones to sit down across from him. Gabe asked him for his gun and phone which Bones handed him without a fuss. Joker placed himself behind Gabe, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and his eyes on Bones.

Bones glanced around, confusion clear on his face. “What’s going on?”

Gabe threw a glance up at Joker who gave him a subtle nod in response. Gabe turned back to Bones.

“We have a mole,” Gabe said.

Bones’ eyes looked like they were about to pop out. He sat back in his chair, shaking his head.
