A FILTHY Marriage (Filthy Line Book 4) Page 15

  “Try me,” she said.

“I met him when I was drunk. He could have taken advantage of me but didn’t. I respected that about him.”

“It also doesn’t hurt that he looks the way he does,” Grams said.

  “Well, that goes without saying.”

Grams shook her head. “I’m not sure if you’re messing around here or not, Wren.”

“Let me ask you this… does it even matter? Are love stories even real? I mean, like the kind you see in movies?”

“No, they’re not,” Grams said. “I’m glad you realize that. And I’m glad you have him. Whatever the story is. At least for me I have some eye candy around here.”

I laughed. “You know he’s not staying here, right?”

“I know,” Grams said. She touched her hair. “But he’s here now. How do I look?”

  “You look perfect.”

Jay came back into the bedroom with a cup of coffee for Grams.

It was quite the sight to see.

This tall and thick with muscle rock star. With his bad boy smile and even badder dimples. Stale whiskey on his breath from the night before. An evil twinkle in his eye. Strutting toward the bed with coffee for my dying grandmother.

“Where would you like it?” Jay asked Grams.

“Right here in the bed,” she said. “Are we doing this in front of Wren?”

  “Grams!” I yelled.

  My face turned hot again.

  Jay laughed.

He and Grams were trouble together.

Jay waited patiently for Grams to get herself situated before gently handing her the coffee. And even then, he lingered to make sure she was okay.

  This was… hot.

So damn hot to see him caring for her.

He just met her. There was no hiding the fact that she looked sick. Jay didn’t see that at all.

As hot as it was, it was a mystery.

He was a rock star. Again… drugs, booze, women… yet he was some kind of gentle caretaker too?

Jay looked back at me and winked.

  I didn’t do anything… other than blush.

“What’s your favorite FILTHY LINE song?” Jay asked Grams.

  “Oh, she doesn’t know-”

“Your second album was the best,” Grams said.

“You know the band?” I asked.

“Sure,” Grams said. “Nothing wrong with some rock n’ roll. I have a wide taste in music.” She looked at Jay again. “The first album was okay. The second was the best. Now, what happened with that fourth one? The guitars were kind of quiet.”

“True,” Jay said. “We had a new producer in the studio. The idea was to shift the sound and it didn’t work. I hated it. The songs were good. Personally, I think it should have been an acoustic album.”

“That’s a great idea,” Grams said. “Now, when you come sing to me, I want to hear… From the Above, A Filthy Smile, and…” Grams clicked her tongue. “Oh, how about A Kiss Without Goodbye?”

Jay nodded. “That’s a piano song.”

“You can’t play it on guitar?”

“Are you challenging me, Grams?” Jay asked.

  Swoon.

  Swoon.

  Fucking. Swoon.

They were like old friends together.

“I am challenging you,” she said. “I’m dying over here. You can’t make my wish come true.”

  “Grams,” I said.

“Hey,” she said. “Let me use the cancer to my benefit for once here.”

“You drive a hard bargain,” Jay said. “But… it’s a deal. Those three songs. Just you and me?”

Gram leaned forward. “What about Wren?”

  “Who’s that?” Jay asked.

Gram blushed. She full on blushed.

She covered her mouth and became giddy.

  That made me laugh.

“Grams, you enjoy your coffee,” Jay said. “I’m going to steal your granddaughter for a second to talk. I have to get going. I have some rock star things to do today.”

“It was nice to finally meet you,” Grams said. “I still can’t believe all of this played out on television. What a world we live in.”

“I always keep things exciting,” Jay said. “Always.”

“Good,” Grams said. “Wren needs it.”

  “Okay, that’s enough,” I said.

I grabbed for Jay’s hand and we exited the room.

I saw Bethany coming toward us with a tray of food.

“Thank you again for the autograph and picture,” Bethany said.

“No worries,” Jay said. “Thank you for being a family of fans.”

I made a split-second decision and pulled Jay down toward my bedroom.

  My mind jumped for joy…

You’re taking a rock star into your room!

When we got into the bedroom, Jay kicked the door shut and put his hands to my face.

I sucked in a breath, realizing how it must have looked.

“I just wanted to talk,” I whispered.

“I don’t want to talk anymore,” he said.

I put my hands to his chest. “Jay…”

  He moved away from me.

  He looked around the room.

I did the same, fearing I had a bra hanging off the TV or panties on the floor.

He walked to the bed and ran his fingertips along the messy sheets.

“Smells like you in here, Wren,” he said.

“I hope so. It’s my bedroom.”

He looked at me. “So talk.”

“I don’t know what to say. I just really appreciate what you did there.”

“Don’t worry about it,” he said. “She’s important to you. I can see that. She’s a firecracker. I’m sorry that she’s sick. But it looks like she’s had a good life and no matter how it ends, it won’t be in regret.”

  I nodded. “Yeah. Right.”

“There’s something I have to tell you,” Jay said.

  “What?”

  “Seattle. I want you there.”

  “What?”

“I want you there. For the show.”

“Jay… I can’t just pack up and leave like that.”

  “Why not?”

  “I have a job. I have a life. I have Grams.”

Jay nodded. “What would she say?”

“Don’t you dare use her against me,” I said.

“It’s one night. One show. I’ll fly you up there. Fly you right back. You can fly with the band. Private jet.”

“So I can watch you snort whatever it is you like and then mess around with other women?” I asked.

Jealousy slapped me in the gut on that one.

“It’s not like it used to be,” Jay said. “And I want you there. Plus, it’ll look good for our situation. You’ll be at the show. Some pics will get leaked. And it’s normal again for you. It’ll make the story real between us.”

  “I don’t know,” I said. “That’s a lot to think about.”

“Actually, it’s not,” Jay said. “You get on a private jet. We fly to Seattle. You experience a day in my life. You watch the show with Liv, Candice, and Abby. Then we go back to the hotel room and… well… whatever you want to do… and then the next morning we fly right back here.”

  “I’ll think about it.”

I turned and stepped toward the door.

  Jay moved like lightning.

His hand struck the door, his palm flat.

His body facing the side of my body.

“You know, sweetheart, I really haven’t had the breakfast I wanted,” he whispered.

  I swallowed hard. “Jay…”

“You can say my name all you want,” he said. “I’ll even write it with my tongue.”

I turned my head, knowing my face was bright red. “It’s your turn to talk. I want to know about that guy in your house. With the naked woman. What’s going on there?”

“Mitchy?” Jay asked. “Okay. I’ll tell you about Mitchy. Come here.”

Jay slipped his left hand into my right hand. His hand on the door slid down and he engaged the lock.

  My mouth went dry.

He started to walk, guiding me to the bed.

“Mitchy was part of the band in the beginning,” he said. “He was one of us. He’s a great songwriter. He brought a vision to the band I don’t think any of us had…”

  Jay stopped at the bed.

He sat down and I sat next to him.

“We were like brothers,” Jay said. “Always were. And it was a wild time. We were young, had no fear, and just wanted to make music. That was the dream.”

Jay leaned in and moved my hair out of the way to kiss my neck.

When he did, I grabbed the sheets on the bed and curled my hands tight.

This was the moment to nudge him away.

We couldn’t do this like this…

  Or could we?

Jay stopped kissing my neck. “Of course, being who we were, the partying started and never really stopped. At first it was just drinking. That was all we could really afford. Then came the night some record guy showed up to a show with a bag full of… stuff. We were swallowing pills and snorting powder all night. That’s what unlocked Mitchy’s deepest demons…”

  “That’s sad,” I whispered.

“It’s just part of the gig,” Jay said.

He moved in front of me and dropped down to one knee.

His hands grabbed my sides and he lifted.

I picked myself up off the bed and gasped.

  “Jay…”

“I’m telling you a story, Wren,” he said. “Don’t interrupt me.”

That evil look in his eyes sent chills through my body.

  Ohgod…

His hands inched up, lifting my shirt.

Then he moved to my pants.

He opened the button with ease and curled his fingers around my pants and pulled.

I put my head back and closed my eyes.

I had never done anything in my bedroom. Or the house. Nothing. Ever. Not once. Not even close.

My pants eased down my legs.

Jay moved fast to take my shoes off before my pants.

His hands touched my legs and I shivered.

He kissed above my left knee.

“So then it got bad,” he said as his lips danced against my leg. “It. Got. Really. Bad.”

Between each word, Jay kissed up my leg.

My hands gripped the sheets tighter.

I slowly looked down and Jay kept going.

I gently inched back on the bed, biting my lip as I did so.

Jay moved with me, his tongue flirting with my inner thigh.

My ass clenched tight and I lifted my hips off the bed.

  “Oh, Jay,” I whispered.

“I know,” he said. “It was sad to see Mitchy slip the way he did. We all partied, but he took it too far. It became a problem, sweetheart. A big… problem…”

Jay nuzzled his nose between my legs and I gasped for a breath.

He moved my feet to the bed.

His hands grabbed the sides of my panties and he stripped me like they were on fire.

I was the one on fire though.

  I looked to my right.

The wall right there was Grams’s wall.

  And I was…

“Oh,” I whispered as Jay’s lips touched just below my belly button.

His lips and tongue slid down my soft mound and I felt his hot breath float between my legs.

I was going to die right there…

“So we had no choice,” he said, still telling me a story.

His lips were a centimeter from my sex and he was talking.

For some reason, that was hot to me.

“We had to kick him out of the band,” Jay said. “And it was a disaster. Since then, he’s tried to sue us over and over, wanting money. He gets clean for a few days and that’s about it. He randomly shows up when he wants. He fucks things up. Then he just leaves…”

  “I’m… sorry… about… that…”

I spoke without taking a breath.

  “Yeah,” Jay said.

His tongue touched me and I shut my eyes.

My mouth opened to scream but I had to keep quiet.

My hips jerked forward, wanting more.

It was just one lick from Jay and I was already begging for more.

The tip of his tongue was lethal. Cutting my folds open with ease, flirting down against my entrance, pressing forward, making me lift off the bed again. He made circles with his strong tongue, thrusting forward and back…

He was… tongue fucking me… for real.

I opened my eyes and looked down.

  I had to see it.

I had to see Jay. The rock star. Between my legs.

He was there. Ohgod, he was there.

His tongue popped out of my body and moved right up to my clit.

He teased with gentle flickers up and down, caressing in a way that would leave me on the edge for hours.

  Only we didn’t have hours.

I didn’t have time for this as it was…

My right hand moved from the bed and I grabbed his hair.

  “Hurry,” I whispered.

  “You hurry, sweetheart,” Jay said.

His mouth latched to my clit.

I sucked in a breath and held it as long as I could.

His tongue moved faster than anything I had ever felt against my body before.

My hips instantly began to shake. My toes curled so tight they ached. I had this pulse moving through my body, stopping at my breasts, making them tender, wishing they were getting attention too. My nipples grew hard, pressing uncomfortably against my bra.

I gritted my teeth, wanting Jay in a way I shouldn’t have wanted him.

I slowly let my breath out, groaning and whimpering, doing my best to keep quiet.

Jay’s hands grabbed at my sides. He kept me tight against his mouth.

  And I understood why.

As the pleasure reached its apex, my body wanted to pull back.

Jay wasn’t going to let that happen.

I wasn’t going to come on my own and just feel it and have it fade…

Jay kept his mouth against my pussy even as the wave of pleasure began to crest.

I slowly lowered my back and head down to the bed, every muscle in my body flexing and shaking.

  “I’m… I’m…”

“I know,” Jay said in between licks of the wet mess he created.

I bit my lip and let it all just rush from me.

My hips rocked on their own, up and down, grinding against Jay’s tongue.

He suckled my clit like I had gone into cardiac arrest and that was the only way to bring me back to life.

And even after that first wild rush of pleasure came and went, Jay didn’t move.

  He just gently slowed.

  Guiding me along.

Making me feel things I never felt before.

  He was… perfect.

  Of course he was.

  This was his thing.

His resume would have two items on it.

  Play guitar.

  Make women come.

When Jay did stop, he eased up and kissed against my mound again. Then up to my belly button. His mouth moved from my body but he wasn’t done yet. He climbed onto the bed, hovering over me.

Our eyes met and I started to blush.

“So that’s the story of Mitchy,” he said.

I blushed harder when I smell my own sweetness on his breath.

  “Good to know,” I said.

Jay lowered his lips down to my ear. “You taste fucking amazing, sweetheart. The best I’ve ever had.”

I didn’t know what to say.

  I let out a whimper.

Then Jay added one more thing.

  “See you in Seattle, Wren.”

  I shut my eyes.

  I nodded.

He won this time… but then again, so did I.

  JAY

“We need to talk,” Nash said as he walked into the studio.

I was playing my famous white guitar.

I made sure to hang it back up on the wall.

There was a rule in the band.

Nobody could ever touch my white guitar.

We had made up a dozen reasons why, but the truth… that was the guitar I wrote the first real FILTHY LINE riff on. We were dead drunk and it had been four in the morning. I wanted to be a prick and make noise to piss everyone off that had fallen asleep.

So I plugged the guitar in and started jamming a riff.

The band woke up and by sunrise we had our first major hit.

“What did I do now, Nash?” I asked.

“Nothing,” he said. “It’s about Mitchy.”

  “What about?”

“He’s been talking to his lawyer behind our backs,” Nash said. “Told his lawyer that you and he are on solid ground. That he and Sab were writing new music. He’s using you guys to prove his case.”

“And what case is that?” I asked.

“He wants more money, Jay,” Nash said. “He’s trying to show that the band needs him. That we’re all okay. That it’s just an accounting type thing. I don’t know. Toby is pissed. He’s on the phone with our lawyers. And we’re supposed to be going to Seattle for press and a show.”

“What do you want me to do?” I asked. “Kick him out?”

  “Yes,” Nash said.

“Okay. Then let’s go kick him out. Come with me. Watch me do it.”

Nash put his hand out. “Hey. I’m not fucking around here, Jay. I know how it feels. He did it to me. Do you not remember I was the one who had to tell him to leave the band? He was so strung out and I was so worried for him.”

“I get it. We all have to do our part. I didn’t know what to do with him.”

  “Sab told me what happened.”

“Yeah. I tried to clean him up a little.”

“If one of those women die in your house, your ass is going to get it,” Nash said.

“I know. Wren met him. And one of his women. She had a bush big enough to blanket the city.”

“Christ,” Nash said. “Thanks for that visual. Speaking of which… how is she taking to the rock star life?”

“She’s coming around,” I said. “She’s coming to Seattle with us.”

  “And what is this exactly?”

  “What?”

“This is real for you, Jay?” Nash asked. “I mean, I get it. Fucking around in Vegas. Marrying someone. Getting the paparazzi all riled up. That’s your thing. But Wren seems so innocent and normal.”
