Flynn: Social Rejects Syndicate (Mackay Brothers Trilogy Book 1) Page 19

by Erin Osborne

I’m sitting on the end of the bed with my legs crossed when Flynn makes his way through the door. His tie is already undone, and his coat is dangling from his hand. A few buttons are undone on his shirt as if he started stripping while walking upstairs. His hard chest is peeking through the shirt while I stare at him with my mouth hanging open.

“You are stunning. And all fucking mine,” Flynn growls out, dropping his coat on the floor as he stalks over to me.

“And you’re mine,” I respond breathlessly.

Flynn covers my body, pushing me back into the mattress. His weight covers me while his mouth lowers to my own. Flynn kisses me as if it’s the last kiss we’ll ever share. This is only the beginning as far as I’m concerned. Closing my eyes, I rake my fingers through Flynn’s short hair. A moan escapes my mouth as he deepens the kiss.

Flynn’s hands wander over my body as his mouth moves from mine to trail kisses down my neck and to my chest. He pulls my nipple into his mouth, sucking the hardened peak until my body arches off the bed beneath him. Flynn lets go of my nipple with a pop and moves down my body. My eyes are closed as I get lost in the feelings he’s filling my body with. However, when I feel a pinch against my hips, my eyes snap open in time to see Flynn tossing the remnants of my panties over his shoulder. Holy shit!

I’ve read about men ripping underwear off their woman, but I’ve never had it done to me. Not until my husband. Without missing a beat, Flynn lowers his head and slides his tongue between my already slick folds. He licks up until he finds my clit, pulling it into his mouth, sucking and nipping at it. My back arches off the bed as I lock my legs around his head and dig my fingers into his hair and scalp. Flynn moans as he slides a finger into my wet channel.

I’m on the brink of my orgasm when Flynn pulls away from me. The sudden empty, cold feeling surrounds me as a groan is ripped from my body. Opening my eyes again, I look up to find him leaning over my body, his face covered in my essence.

“What are you doing?” I question, my voice low and husky.

“The first time you cum as my wife will be on my cock. Not my fingers or on my face. I want to be buried inside my wife. Now,” he states, lining his cock up with my entrance.

“Please, Flynn,” I murmur, pulling his lips back to mine.

Those must be the magic words. Flynn surges inside my body causing both of us to moan out at the feeling of my body taking his. He doesn’t pause as he slides in and out of me slowly. He’s taking his time and making sure we both feel every single inch as he moves in and out of my body. My hips move in time with his thrusts as I wrap my body around his. Flynn’s moves become erratic when I dig my heels into his ass. He slides his hand between our bodies and rubs and flicks my clit, tipping me over the edge.

“Flynn!” I yell out, my body arching and tightening up under his own.

Flynn thrusts in and out of my body two more times before he’s bellowing out my name while coming to a complete stop as far in body as he can get. Instead of dropping down on top of me, my husband rolls to the side and pulls me with him. I rest my hand on his chest, feeling his heart beating rapidly while his breath comes unevenly in and out of his body. I’m not faring much better as we try to gain control once more of our bodies.

His hand rubs up and down my back as we try to slow our breathing. It seems to take forever before we can talk and breathe normally again. I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world though. As we lay tangled against one another, I look up at Flynn.

“I love you, my husband,” I tell him, my voice whispered in the silence surrounding us.

“I love you, my wife,” he responds to me, kissing my lips softly.

We lay there together, wrapped around one another as sleep claims us. This is the perfect ending to the perfect day. A day Flynn made happen for me because of our love. Today, I fell a little more in love with my husband because he continues to prove how much he’s going to be there for me and give me exactly what I want and need.

  Chapter Twenty-Three

  Flynn

IMOGEN AND I are waiting at the doctor’s office to be called back for her appointment. It’s a big day because I’m hoping we get the go-ahead to head back home. There are things back there needing my attention along with the fact we need to figure out exactly what’s going on with my father and King. I don’t expect King will be happy with hearing I’ve married his daughter. However, my father will be ecstatic knowing Imogen is now my wife. That’s why I can’t be sure he doesn’t have something to gain by our marriage.

“Mrs. Mackay,” a woman calls out, standing in the doorway leading to the back of the office.

Imogen and I stand up and make our way over to her. I stand out of the way as she takes my wife’s vitals and weight. When she tells her to go in the bathroom and leave a sample, the nurse leads me to the exam room we’ll be in. Posters fill the walls as there’s a case filled with pamphlets about pregnancy, STDs, and other things people need to learn about while in the office of an obstetrician.

The same nurse leads Imogen in with a smile. After telling her to strip down and place the paper gown I already looked at over her lap, the nurse leaves us alone. I help Imogen get ready before she gets on the exam table and lays back. Pulling the chair up closer to her side, we wait for the doctor to come in and see her.

My concern is Imogen getting sick so bad. While we fell asleep early last night, she didn’t stay that way. Imogen was up and down half the night getting sick. Today she looks exhausted and ready to fall asleep at a moments notice. I want to get this appointment over with so we can head to the airport. The sooner we can get home, the easier it will be to get her in with a doctor there and get her nausea under control.

“Are you ready to go home?” I ask my wife, holding her hand.

“Yes, I am. I want to begin our lives there and make sure the baby is okay. Do you think this doctor will let me travel home?” she questions me, turning wide eyes up in my direction.

“I hope so. We have a lot to do back home. I’m eager to get to the lawyer’s office so we can make sure King and no one else gets their hands on your money. You should be able to do whatever it is with it you want. Not worry about everything else going on. Especially now,” I assure her, kissing the back of her hand.

Before Imogen can respond, there’s a knock on the door. A young woman pokes her head in the door before making her way inside to us. She looks way too young to be a doctor of any kind as I take in her ponytail, make-up free face, and the tee-shirt and jeans covering her body under her white lab coat. Definitely doesn’t dress like any doctor I’ve ever seen in my life.

“Mr. and Mrs. Mackay, it’s nice to meet you. My name is Doctor Rogers. How have you been feeling?” she asks Imogen, keeping her attention off of me.

“I’ve been getting sick. More than what I’ve read about and heard from others,” Imogen answers honestly. “And I’m extremely tired.”

“Okay. After I complete your exam, I’d like to have an ultrasound done. Not only to see how far along you are, but to see what’s going on. The nausea is concerning for me. While most women experience nausea and morning sickness, the amount of times you’re getting sick in one day concerns me. It can lead to dehydration among other things,” she tells Imogen, putting a pair of gloves on as she continues to ask my wife questions.

My only level of fear and worry are increasing to hear she’s worried about Imogen. I’m not sure we’ll be able to go home until the baby is born depending on what we find out today. Imogen is going to be crushed. She wants to go home; I can see it in her eyes and in the way she doesn’t feel quite comfortable around the house we’ve been staying in.

Yes, she helps Rosa and reads or relaxes out by the pool. However, I know she’s not comfortable around a lot of people. Especially knowing there are armed guards in plain sight. I’m sure she believes they’re here to watch over her and make sure she doesn’t leave the grounds or anything else to get away. That’s not the case though. Sal has
guards at all of their safe houses. There are only more here now because we’re in residence. Usually only a small group occupy the Rossi family homes until more are called in. That’s all that’s happening here. Imogen has more freedom than she realizes.

“Do you have any questions?” the doc turns her attention on me finally.

“Yes. We were supposed to travel home today. Is that at all a possibility?” I ask her, knowing my wife won’t ask.

“Let’s see what we find with the ultrasound. I’d like to say right now there should be no problems as long as Imogen is feeling up to it. She’s certainly early enough in the pregnancy there shouldn’t be any issues,” she assures us. “Give me a few minutes to get the tech and our machine in here. You’ll be able to see your baby in a few minutes.”

Doctor Rogers leaves the room with a smile on her face. I move closer once more after having given the doctor room to complete her exam. Grabbing Imogen’s hand, I hold onto her as we wait for the tech to come in and show us our child. Excitement is flowing freely through me with the knowledge of us being able to see what we’ve created between the two of us. A creation made of love and trust, of companionship. Our child will know love from each of us and will bask in the special love between a mother and her children.

I’m not sure how much time passes as we wait on the tech with a machine that will further check on our child and Imogen’s health. Finally, there’s a knock on the door and a large machine is rolled in before a small woman and the doctor. The lights are turned down as Imogen lays back against the table and tries to get comfortable.

“I’ll have to do an internal exam since we’re not sure how far along you are,” the tech informs Imogen and me.

Imogen nods her head while looking uncertainly at me. Neither one of us are sure what to expect from this exam or how to handle it. The technician explains everything as she’s doing it, trying to put us at ease. Soon, the once black screen is filled with a noise sounding much like a heartbeat. Imogen and I look at one another as a few tears escape her eyes. I wipe them away before placing a kiss against her lips. Our child’s heartbeat the only thing in the room surrounding us. Everything else fades away.

Turning our attention back to the screen, a grainy picture fills the screen. I’m not sure what we’re looking at, but the doctor moves closer to the screen. She’s looking on with us and the technician doing the ultrasound.

“Mrs. Mackay, I believe you’re about five weeks pregnant. However, I do believe I see the reason you’re so sick,” she tells us, turning with a smile on her face. “You’re having twins. See, right there is baby A and right here is baby B.”

Imogen turns to look at me with a look of astonishment covering her beautiful face. This is definitely not what I was expecting to hear today. Shock fills me and brings the excitement down to a dull roar.

“Flynn, are you okay?” Imogen asks me, concern filling her face and eyes.

“I’m fine,” I mutter out, not sure what to make of this news. “What does this mean for her pregnancy?”

“The main thing it means is that she’ll more than likely deliver earlier than normal. It’s common among multiple births. However, it could also explain the nausea and sickness she’s been experiencing,” she tell us.

“What about heading home?” Imogen questions her.

“You can still travel home. I’d rather a doctor travel with you just in case. Make sure you take your medicine and be careful. Rest as much as possible. If you need anything while you’re still in the states, don’t hesitate to call me,” she informs us before turning away. “Oh, and let me know who your new doctor is so I can forward your records there.”

“Thank you, Doctor Rogers,” Imogen says, just before she walks out the door.

The technician hands over a few pictures of our babies before wheeling the machine out in front of her. Imogen and I are stuck in our own little world for a few minutes as we continue to gaze down at the pictures showcasing our little ones nestled in her body. My wife is the first one to snap out of her daze as she hands me her pictures so she can get dressed. While she’s dressing I keep close to her and make sure she’s not going to fall over or get hurt in any other way.

Once she’s ready to head out, we leave the office and make our way through the waiting room and out to the SUV Tommaso let us use today. He’s concerned with Imogen’s health and won’t stand in her way of making sure she’s okay. Now, we have to get back so we can make sure our bags are packed and we’re on our way to the airport to get back on the plane. There’s only going to be an additional guest on our way home than when we arrived here in the states. I’ll be making sure a doctor is on the flight with us. Nothing will happen to Imogen or our children on my watch.

As when we got here, Sal and Tommaso are taking us to the airport. Tommaso is in the backseat with Imogen and they’re once again talking amongst themselves. She’s really found a friend in the man I’ve known for several years. He’s not one to take on female friends. It’s simply Imogen and the magic that surrounds her. Anyone in her presence can’t help but become captivated by her attention and the heart she has. She’s all that’s good and innocent in this world.

“What are you going to do when you get home?” Sal asks me, knowing all of the shit Imogen and I are going to have to deal with.

“The first thing we’re going to do is ensure Imogen’s money is safe and secure from King. And whoever else may be helping him along the way. Then, I’ll make sure she’s happy in our home. After buying a new one of course. The place I’ve been living is as unsuitable as they come,” I answer him.

“If you need anythin’ at all, I’m a call away. We can be on a plane for back-up if it’s needed,” he informs me.

“Thank you. I’ll have to talk to my brothers and figure out how to handle the situation. They’ll be the first ones to know about our marriage as well. My father will never know if I have any say in it,” I assure him, knowing I’ll do everything in my power to keep the secret from him.

“Your men won’t say a word to him?” Tommaso speaks up from the backseat.

“No. Their loyalty is to me and only me. Well, now Imogen as well. They can’t stand my father and the demands he tries to force on the three of us,” I reply, knowing it’s the truth.

It doesn’t take long and we’re pulling up to the airfield. Sal parks at the end of the tarmac where we get out and our baggage is unloaded for us. Sal’s doctor, a second one in case Ramirez isn’t available, will be the one travelling back to Australia with us. As I’ve said, I’m not taking any chances when it comes to Imogen and our children.

I open the backdoor and help my wife out. She smiles up at me with love shining from her eyes. Leaning down, I place a soft, gentle kiss against her lips. Together, with our fingers laced together, we make our way to the plane after say our goodbyes to Tommaso and Sal. Imogen is crying because she’s leaving one of her friends. A friend I know will be in contact with her as much as he can be. I’m not jealous of the bond between my wife and Tommaso. If I got jealous of every single man who became close with Imogen, I’d constantly be fighting or killing men. I know my woman and trust in our love. A love she won’t give to anyone other than me.

We head for the plane and walk up the stairs. Once at the top, Imogen turns her head and looks out over the airfield for the last time. Not the last time in her life though. I’ll bring her back to the states whenever she wishes to make a return trip. Besides, if I know Bianca and Mia the way I think I do, they’ll pull her into the fold and demand regular trips between our two countries.

Imogen and I finally make our way inside the cabin of the plane. Doctor Ramirez, his son, is already on board. He’s sitting in one of the chairs waiting to take off. I settle Imogen in her chair and make sure her seatbelt is fastened before taking my own seat close to the doctor. I want to talk to him before we take off and make sure everything is going to be okay.

While the doctor and I talk about her condition and what’
s been going on, Imogen gets up and races to the bathroom. We haven’t even taken off and she’s already getting sick. Leaving my own seat, I go help my woman while Doc is on standby. Once she’s back in her seat, he assures us we need to take off now. The sooner we get back home, the better we’ll be. So, as soon as we’re in the air and can move around, I lead Imogen back to the bedroom and get her put to bed. I join her, curling her body into my side as we both fall asleep. The last few days have been busy and it’s finally catching up with us.

  Chapter Twenty-Four

  Imogen

WE’VE BEEN BACK in Australia for a week now. Today is the first I could get in with the lawyer who has my trust set up. Flynn will be accompanying me to his office since he knows him well. I’m nervous because King has been trying to get ahold of me. He calls several times a day in the hopes I’ll take his call. Somehow, he knows we’re back in town. I’m not sure how or how much he knows about what’s been going on between Flynn and myself. I don’t really care. As long as he leaves us alone and doesn’t cause any problems, King is dead to me and will remain that way.

Flynn and I have also been looking for a new house. The one he’s currently in isn’t a home. Those are his words; not mine. He wants us to have a clean beginning without it being tainted by his past. Not that he brought women there to have sex with, but because it represents his former life. A life as a playboy who didn’t give a shit about anything more than his own happiness and gains in life. One where he was ruled by his father and the demands he made on not only Flynn but on his younger two brothers.

Liam and Flynn have been working day and night to figure out if King and his father are working together to get their hands on my money. It’s a large sum. A sum I know will make King a very wealthy man. He needs the money to continue living the life he’s become accustomed to. One he doesn’t deserve to live.

I’m still getting sick and feel horrible most days. However, I push through it, start my morning out with hot tea and some crackers. It helps keep the nausea at bay. A little bit at any rate. I’m able to eat more than I was in the states. Flynn is happy about that aspect because he knows it’s more important than ever for me to get as many nutrients in my body as I can to help our two children grow and become strong little ones when I have them.
