“Thank you.” She squeezed his hand as he stepped aside.

Royce and Charisma were subdued. She hugged each of them then gave Charisma a reassuring smile. The scent of something being off tickled Hayden’s senses, but she couldn’t place the smell. Tomorrow she’d voice her concerns. Tonight, they were going to celebrate the newest Raferty arrival.

“Come on, everyone is waiting for us. Let’s eat.” She motioned for them to follow her into the dining room.

Nico stood beside Bell and Christoph while Jackson helped Maliki into his chair. She motioned for her mate, showing him the envelope they’d been waiting for. Nico excused himself then strode towards her. She tugged him into the kitchen. She only had to tell him the important part: Asher was theirs.

“So, it’s official then. We don’t have to do anything?”

Hayden shook her head. “He’s our son.”

Nico growled before capturing her lips with his. The demanding mating of their mouths melted Hayden until she clung to him for support. When he pulled back, a possessive love filled his brown eyes, causing Hayden to shiver. “I love you, little wolf, and our son.”

“I love you too, Nico.” She laid her head on his chest. “How about we go introduce Asher to everyone?”

“Sure, then we can get him a bottle and back to bed. No need in overstimulating him tonight.”

Hayden agreed. They’d have all the time in the world now for their son to meet both sides of their ever-growing family.

Nico and Hayden walked back into the dining room, hand in hand. Their family had been seated at the tables set up for all of them, thanks to Kalkin and Caden helping out by delivering them. She stood beside Nico at the head of the table and waited for the chatter to quiet down before she began.

“Nico and I wanted to introduce you to the newest Raferty-Lopez family member.” Hayden pulled back the blanket to reveal her son to their combined family. “This is Asher Theodore Raferty-Lopez, our son.”

Kalkin stood then. “Welcome to the pack, Asher Theodore Raferty-Lopez.” He narrowed his eyes at Hayden then winked. “You could have picked a shorter name.”

“Yeah, well, can’t be outdone by you guys,” she teased.

The room erupted in laughter. In those moments, standing with her mate, she didn’t need anything else but them. Danielle promised next full moon she’d run some more tests, but she’d been confident nothing was wrong with Hayden, and she agreed. She didn’t need to waste any more time dwelling on her past or trying to find her place amongst her family. She always belonged with them. It just took her a while to figure it out.

She sat in the chair Nico presented to her. “Now, who is hungry?”
