“Stop that bastard from reaching the Queen and the others,” Sabrina shouted at the top of her voice as she saw the red flash of lightning moving towards Rashmi and the others who were supporting the Fusion Domain.

Many demons immediately moved into the path of the lightning flash with the intention of stopping it. The speed of the lightning flash was so fast that hitting it with an attack or anything similar was technically impossible, so the only thing that they could do was use their bodies to somehow stop it and then attack it.

The red flash of lightning was not something that their bodies could stop however, and within the only a few minutes about half a million demons were turned into Blood mist which was ultimately absorbed by the cloaked figure.

Rashmi and company’s hearts were filled with horror as they prepared themselves for their deaths, but then a strange thing happened. The Royal Palace which had been made by the Founder of the Twilight Demon Kingdom suddenly started to shine with red light. Something like that had never happened before! Well, it was also the first time in the history of the Twilight Demon Kingdom that its capital had been under the threat of complete annihilation.

Shortly, the Energy projection of a Redback Demon thousands of meters tall appeared above the Royal Palace. The Energy projection released a powerful pressure which immediately trapped the red flash of lightning. The cloaked figure reverted to his original self and his Domain also disappeared. Rashmi and the others who’d created the Fusion Domain used this opportunity to fully use the ability of their Fusion Domain. A few members of the Royal Family managed to contact Nox and Liam at that moment too. Demon children and demons with Cultivation Levels in the Mortal Realm started to flee from the city.

“I should have expected something from those bastards in the Divine Universe,” the cloaked figure roared at the top of his voice.

Rashmi and company looking at the Energy projection couldn’t help but bow down their heads in reverence. The Energy projection belonged to the Founder of their Kingdom, Barong, the Redback Demon who’d single-handedly founded the Twilight Demon Kingdom.

  “Arghh!!!”

The pressure around the cloaked figure started to increase with each passing second which made him shriek in pain.

At that moment, Rashmi and the others who were supporting the Fusion Domain made some Hand seals so the Fusion Domain also started to exert pressure on the cloaked figure thus adding to the pressure already being exerted by Barong’s Energy projection. He was restrained even more firmly now.

“I will make you regret making me undergo such pain,” the cloaked figure roared and his entire body was covered in red lightning, which destroyed the cloak on his body, so now everyone could see his real features. He looked exactly like a human being except for his size and blue skin.

Rashmi and company could tell that their opponent was a Demon but had no idea about its species. It didn’t take long for them to conclude that the blue-skinned humanoid was actually an Oblivion Demon!!!!

Instantly, a number of Mental messages were sent to Nox and company to hurry back to the Heavenly Demon City.

“Attack!!!” Rashmi roared at the top of her voice. They couldn’t let such an opportunity slip by their hands, otherwise it wouldn’t be long before they would all be dead. She was also certain that there was a limit to how long the Energy projection could last, as it was something that Barong must have left when he’d visited Grandura after he had established the Main branch of Twilight Kingdom in the Divine Universe. It showed the importance of the Grandura branch of Twilight Demon Kingdom in Barong’s heart.

On Rashmi’s single command, hundreds and thousands of attacks were launched at the Oblivion Demon who was trying his best to not get crushed. All the attacks were the strongest attacks that they could muster at the time and they used up all the Elemental Energy inside their bodies for them. If the Oblivion Demon didn’t die after all that, they could only pray that Nox, Liam and the rest would come on time to help them, otherwise they were all as good as dead.

“I will make all of you regret attacking me!” the Oblivion Demon roared when he saw the attacks coming at him. It was natural for him to get pissed off. The Red-lightning around him increased and transformed into full body armor, which was the only thing he could do at that moment.

  Ch.7

Nox, Liam and other higher-ups of the Twilight Demon Kingdom were hovering high up in the sky above Green Highlands. It wasn’t just them but the leaders of all the demon factions and their subordinates. They were currently discussing how they would deal with the demon that was supposedly trying to evolve into an Oblivion Demon, if it were to somehow break through all the barriers and walk out of the valley after finishing its evolution.

Everyone’s expressions changed when a small Spatial rift opened above Nox and company. A little Redback Demon flew out of it which made all their expressions change drastically when they realized the identity of the little Redback Demon.

“Father! Grandpa Liam! The capital is under attack. Quickly go back and save Mother and the rest!” Noah shouted right after coming out of the Spatial rift as he flew towards the Nox and company with teary eyes.

“What?!” Nox and company said in unison and totally stunned, as they finally understood why Rashmi had sent Noah to them. The leaders of the other demon factions and their subordinates were equally shocked.

Nox took Noah in his arms and patted him gently while he told them in detail about the attack on the city and the circumstance under which Rashmi had sent him to Green Highlands. Everyone’s expressions were shocked as they were unable to fathom who in current times would have the time to attack Twilight Demon Kingdom, when they were facing a calamity on such a grand scale. Unlike others, Liam had a horrified expression as he’d thought of a certain possibility – which was noticed by everyone present.

“Ancestor Liam, what’s happened?” Nox asked in an uneasy manner, as he had never seen such an expression on Liam’s face before.

“It seems that the attacker is an Oblivion Demon,” Liam said in a funereal manner. The expressions of everyone changed and they looked at each other with horror. Information regarding Oblivion Demons was so scarce on Grandura that Rashmi and company didn’t know that the cloaked figure in front of them was an Oblivion Demon until the very end, even though it was using an Oblivion Domain which was infamous in the Divine Universe and a trademark Innate Ability of Oblivion Demons.

“I will return first and lead the Oblivion Demon away from the city. We will then follow the same strategy that we agreed upon earlier,” Liam said as he scanned the faces of all the Demon leaders who just nodded their heads in agreement. They knew that Liam was their only line of defense against an Oblivion Demon. They were just not strong enough to contend against an Oblivion Demon.

“What about the Oblivion Demon within Green Highlands? Do we leave a little bit of our force here?” one of the Demon leaders couldn’t help but ask.

“If I am not wrong, the Demon within the valley has yet to evolve into an Oblivion Demon, so it will not cause us any trouble until its evolution finishes – which might last for a few days to few weeks,” Liam said as he looked at the numerous barriers that had been erected around the valley with intense hostility. Everyone couldn’t help but agree with him.

“Nox, you return with Noah to the Capital, once I lead the Oblivion Demon far from it. If Rashmi and rest are alive, leave him in their care and come and join us in the battle,” Liam added. Nox nodded his head, as he knew the importance of his son’s life. He couldn’t leave him with anyone else. None of the leaders of other demon factions had any kind of objection to Liam’s proposal, as they knew the importance of Noah to the Twilight Demon Kingdom.

The expressions of Liam and Nox changed at that moment, as they received Mental-message transmissions from some Royal Family members regarding the situation. Exultant expressions appeared on the faces of Liam and Nox, which were also noticed by everyone. They instantly shared the news with the
other demons’ present, which was about the appearance of Barong’s Energy projection trapping the Oblivion Demon. That quickly raised everyone’s moral.

Liam quickly opened a Teleportation portal to Heavenly Demon City and disappeared into it. Demons from different factions joined forces right after Liam left to open a portal that could teleport billions of Immortal Realm Demons to Heavenly Demon City. They couldn’t miss such an excellent opportunity. It didn’t take long, following which the billions of demons that had been camping in Green Highlands disappeared into it.

Green Highlands suddenly turned into a desolate place, except for Noah and Nox. All they could do was wait for Liam’s Mental-message transmission about him and the others chasing the Oblivion Demon away from the capital, so they could return.

Deep within the valley, Isa was still in his deep Cultivation state and had no idea about the threat that could very well wipe out Demons from the face of Grandura. He was wholeheartedly devoted to his Cultivation. His red skin now had a number of runic tattoos on it which were extremely life-like unlike before. They were Celestial runes that had previously been hovering around him, but they’d now begun to fuse with his body. As they were only partially fused with his skin, they were currently glowing with an unearthly red luminescence. It wasn’t just his skin – every part of his body from his muscles to his bones had large numbers of Celestial runes fusing with them, though currently only the ones on his skin were visible.

The Celestial runes were strengthening his body as well as increasing his strength while they fused with his body. He was not far from stepping completely into the Celestial Realm. He would successfully advance to Early Celestial Elite Realm the moment the Celestial runes completely merged with his body.

The Undead creatures that Isa had tasked to protect the valley from any kind of incursions were looking at the large number of barriers surrounding the valley. They had thought of attacking the demons, when they’d been laying down the barriers but had decided to hold themselves back, as they’d been specifically instructed by Isa not to leave the valley. If they’d interfered, Liam and the rest would definitely not have been able to lay down a single barrier around the valley.

Rashmi and others at this moment were unnerved and looked at the Oblivion Demon with disbelief. Their combined attacks had had no effect on it and it was somehow able to withstand the crushing pressure of Barong’s Energy projection! The thing that scared them the most was the weakening of Barong’s Energy projection – it could disappear at any moment and they no longer had any more Elemental Energy for resisting the Oblivion Demon.

“I will make sure I thoroughly torture all of you,” the Oblivion Demon said with a creepy smile, as it looked at Rashmi and company with hungry eyes. Despair instantly filled their hearts, as they were completely out of Elemental Energy – because of which the Fusion Domain also disappeared.

Just at this moment a portal opened and Liam flew out authoritatively, which made the Oblivion Demon’s smile vanish. For the first time, it feared for its life and strengthened its Red-lightning armor by a notch and prepared for a sound beating, as it was still unable to escape the pressure of the Energy projection.

Liam first looked at Barong’s Energy projection with deep veneration and gave a deep bow to it before killing intent erupted out of his body.

“Oblivion Demon, I will make you regret attacking Heavenly Demon City,” Liam roared at the top of his voice as he charged at the Oblivion Demon. Rashmi and others were monumentally relieved on hearing Liam’s words.

Liam’s entire body was covered in terrifying flames as he turned into a blur and appeared next to the Oblivion Demon. The flames that covered his body were normal flames but their temperature was so high that everything in Grandura would turn to ashes after coming in contact with them.

Liam’s flame-covered fist immediately smashed into the face of the Oblivion Demon whose entire body was covered by Red Lightning Armor.

  Boom!!

The contact between Liam’s fist and the Oblivion Demon’s face caused a terrifying explosion that shook the cores of everyone present. They had never seen such a powerful punch in their entire life. It sent the Oblivion Demon flying out of the borders of the Heavenly Demon Capital. Liam had known that this would happen if he used his full power to punch the Oblivion Demon. He was least bothered about the Oblivion Demon escaping the pressure of Barong’s Energy projection, as he had faith in his own strength. Barong’s Energy projection disappeared at that moment too.

At that very moment an extremely big portal opened out of which hordes of demons flew. The spirits of Rashmi and the rest rose, as they were certain that, in the face of such a powerful force, the Oblivion Demon would definitely die.

“Follow me,” Liam said triumphantly as he charged in the direction where he’d sent the Oblivion Demon flying. He also sent a Mental-message transmission to Nox informing him about him kicking the Oblivion Demon out of the capital’s bounds.

The hordes of Demons that emerged out of the portal heeded Liam’s command and followed him with weapons in their hands. They had full intentions of ripping the Oblivion Demon into small pieces and destroying his soul.

Nox received a Mental-message transmission from Liam informing him that he’d chased the Oblivion Demon out of Heavenly Demon City, and also that Rashmi and some members of the Royal Family had survived along with half the citizens of the city. The members of the Royal Family were the ones who’d lead the attack against the Oblivion Demon, so it was natural that the Royal Family had higher casualties.

Nox’s heart ached in pain and he almost lost himself in anger, but he controlled himself after he looking at little Noah in his arms. He knew that he couldn’t let his emotions take control of him. Noah was his top priority. He decided to keep knowledge of the deaths of the Royal Family members from Noah, as he knew that his little boy was quite emotional and would definitely die from sorrow.

“Let’s return home,” Nox said as he gently patted Noah who was still in his arms.

“Father, can I go and meet the demon in the valley?” Noah asked in timid manner. After coming to Green Highlands, he’d realized that the demon within the valley was far stronger than the Oblivion Demon and his Grandpa Liam. He was certain that his Grandpa Liam would lose to that terrifying Oblivion Demon, so he wished to ask the Demon within the valley for help. He was certain that he would help.

“No! Most certainly not!” Nox said with an angry expression, as he prepared to open a portal to Heavenly Demon City.

“Father, I am certain that the demon within the valley is not an Oblivion Demon after sensing the vibe from the real one. You know how strong my senses are: I am never wrong,” Noah said. He had no intention of backing down after opening his mouth. Nox didn’t reply and continued to work on opening a portal to Heavenly Demon City.

“Grandpa Liam will definitely lose. Do you wish to see him die?” Noah said in distress, which made Nox’s body freeze for a moment. He looked at Noah for a second. He knew what Noah had told Liam earlier. He again started to work on opening the portal after remembering Liam’s words about the various kinds of Innate Abilities possessed by Oblivion Demons, one of which allowed them to change their aura. Liam, Nox and the others had assumed that Noah was being tricked by the Oblivion Demon within the valley using that Innate Ability.

It didn’t take long for Nox to open the portal and he disappeared into it along with Noah. Noah still had his gaze fixed on the valley that was covered in countless barriers until the very end.

A fiery-red beam of light was currently chasing after a red flash of lightning through the skies of Demon Continent at an exceptionally high speed and caused great upheaval in the sky as well as on the earth below. Rivers changed direction, mountain ranges were destroyed and so on. The millions of Immortal demons that had come to support Liam in his fight against the Oblivion Demon were dumbstruck when they saw the speed at which it was escaping. Except for Liam, no one was able to keep up with it.r />
So, Liam could only go solo and chase him into a corner before the others could support him in any manner. Liam knew that the Oblivion Demons possess agility-based Innate Abilities which allows them to move at terrifying speeds but the reality blew him away. He had not been expecting the Oblivion Demon to be so fast. He regretted punching it out of the pressure of Barong’s Energy projection, which had at least confined it in one place.

“How are the preparations going?” Liam sent a Mental-message transmission to Nox who had joined the rest of the army of Immortal demons after leaving Noah with Rashmi and the other surviving members of the Royal Family.

Liam had asked Nox and the other leaders of the demon factions to create a powerful barrier that could trap the Oblivion Demon. They were creating it using an artifact that had been personally refined by Liam a few days before.

Nox and the other demon leaders had set up a trap in Nine Demon Forest under Liam’s instructions. Nine Demon Forest is an Ancient forest which has all kinds of beings living in it from Elemental Beasts to Undead creatures. It is also the place where the demons on Grandura originated. It is a sacred place for them though it is no different from any other forest on Grandura, except that the piece of land on which it grows is exceptionally hard and difficult to destroy even for Late Immortal Saint Realm beings. It is said that this piece of land was part of an extremely huge asteroid that had hit Grandura billions of years ago.

Liam had chosen this place as he was certain that only this place could withstand the clash between him and the Oblivion Demon – other places might turn into waste lands. He knew that none of the demon factions would want to see their territory turned into waste land, so he had chosen the neutral territory of Nine Demon Forest.
