Liam and the Purple Fiery lizard turned into blazing meteors as they charged at the incoming Oblivion Demon.

Nox and company could tell that the fight between Liam and the Oblivion Demon was going to end soon. Nox’s Mental-message transmission orb started to vibrate by his waist. He looked alarmed the moment he switched it on and received the Mental-message transmission. It was from Shelina, the Head maid.

“Why would she leave the palace at such a time?” Nox thought to himself with a severely aggrieved expression. Liam losing the battle was not guaranteed, so he found Rashmi’s action a little excessive, though he could understand the reason behind it.

“Try to contact her and also mobilize the entire force of the palace to find her and Noah,” Nox order the Head maid as he hung the Mental-message transmission orb back by his waist. He then concentrated on the terrifying battle taking place in front of him.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

  “Roar!”

An Elemental Beast that looked like a tiger roared in anger and fear as it ran at its top speed to save itself from the evil being chasing it. The Elemental Beast was a Light tiger, a Normal Elemental Beast of Light Attribute with the bloodline of a Divine Elemental Beast Celestial Tiger.

Celestial Tigers are Divine Elemental Beasts of Light that possess extremely formidable physiques and claws that are sharp enough to injure higher species of dragons with extreme ease. Their Innate Abilities are highly destructive which make them terrifyingly powerful. It is said Celestial Tigers can destroy a High-grade World with a single use of their trademark Innate Ability, Heavenly Roar, which is a sonic attack that attacks the soul as well the physical body of an enemy. Celestial Tigers possess a number of other Innate Abilities that are as strong as Heavenly Roar.

This Light tiger had a Cultivation Level of Mid Mortal King Realm and was about ten meters long and had height around four meters. It looked more or less like white tigers from Ryan’s previous life excepting for its fur radiating with white light. The evil thing that was hunting it down was a Black Fiery serpent.

“Hisss!!” the Black Fiery serpent issued a hissing sound as it increased its flying speed while chasing after the Light tiger.

The Light tiger’s entire body was covered in bright light the moment it sensed the increase in the speed of the Black Fiery serpent, following which its running speed also increased dramatically. It was clear it had some sort of Innate Ability that affected its speed and agility.

The Light tiger knew the horror of the Black Fiery serpent, as it had seen the latter burn some Mortal King Realm beings to death just a few minutes previously. It could only flee, as it wasn’t confident about defeating the Black Fiery serpent.

The Light tiger cursed its luck. If it had not gone to compete against other Light Attribute Elemental beings for a High-grade Light Attribute Mortal Plant Spirit, it wouldn’t have been in this situation. The Black Fiery serpent had appeared out of nowhere and killed all the other Light Attribute beings except for it. The Light tiger had a very keen sense of danger, so it had felt extremely insecure about the Black Fiery serpent and had chosen to flee, unlike the other Light Attribute beings that had attacked it instead.

The Light tiger had an enormous shock and a fearful expression appeared on its face when it saw another Black Fiery serpent flying towards it from the front. That Black Fiery serpent struck the Light tiger’s body before it could do anything to avoid it, following which its entire body was covered in black flames and burned into nothingness within seconds.

“Ah! I am no longer able to gain insights or increase my understanding in Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws by burning Mid Mortal King Realm beings to death,” Ryan complained as he extinguished the Black Fiery serpent that had been chasing the Light tiger as well the Hell’s Fire flames that had burned the Light tiger into nothingness as he had no intention of starting a forest fire. He was hovering in the sky just above the spot where he’d killed the Light tiger.

“That is but natural. Your understanding in Fire Elemental Laws as well as Death Elemental Laws has already bypassed the threshold requirement for advancing your Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores to Mid Mortal King Realm. Just enter a Closed-door Cultivation session and advance both your Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores. There’s also a very high chance that you will unseal Innate Abilities of mine and Yama’s when you do that, so you won’t be losing anything by entering a Closed-door Cultivation session at this moment,” Earl’s voice resounded in Ryan’s head.

Generally, Heretical Fire Devils can only gain insights if they burn beings of the same Cultivation Level as them or higher. Normally, Heretical Fire Devils can only burn a being to death that has a Cultivation Level higher than them by a Sub-realm, as they don’t possess Tyrannical flames like Ryan. This forces them to burn countless beings of the same Cultivation Level or a sub-realm higher than them to increase their insights and understanding in Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws. The amount of insights and understanding that they gain from burning a being to death depends on the Cultivation Level of that being, as well the level of their own insights and understanding in Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws. Once they have the required insights and understanding in Elemental laws for advancing their Elemental Cores to a particular realm, they don’t gain much from burning a being of the same Cultivation level.

Ryan, on the other hand, had been burning Mortal King Realm beings since he started hunting Elemental beings a few days before. That had allowed him to gain a lot of insights in Death Elemental Laws and Fire Elemental Laws and his understanding had also increased at a tremendous pace. He only had to burn a fraction of the creatures to increase his insights and understanding in Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws compared to what would have been required by a real Heretical Fire Devil.

Ryan ‘s insights and understanding in Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws had already reached the threshold requirement for advancing his Soul Cores to Mid Mortal King Realm. He had reached a saturation point, so if he wanted to gain anymore insights and increase his understanding in Elemental laws, he would have to burn Late Mortal King Realm beings at least. It was natural that he wouldn’t gain a lot of insights or an increased understanding of Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws after burning a Mid Mortal King Realm being.

“Yes, I know,” Ryan said helplessly. He wanted to increase his insights and understanding of Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws to an extremely high level before entering a Closed-door Cultivation session in order to use the time he had as efficiently as possible.

He flew towards Tondenth’s place soon after, as he couldn’t think of any other place that was as safe as that. In the past few days, Ryan had burned thousands of Early Mortal King Realm beings and Mid Mortal King Realm beings to death, because of which he had become the enemy of all Mortal Realm beings within Tondenth’s territory. They attacked him the moment they saw him. Ryan had no intention of getting into any fight without a reason, so he generally avoided them with the help of his Asura eyes and extremely sharp senses. This was the reason he couldn’t enter a Closed-door Cultivation session anywhere else except at Tondenth’s place.

He’d been ambushed by Elemental Beast hordes on more than one occasion and had used those occasions to hone his Sword skills, as well as learn how to fight multiple opponents at the same time. This had allowed Ryan’s comprehension of Sword-intent to increase tremendously and if he continued to comprehend Sword-intent at that pace he’d soon completely comprehend First realm of Sword-intent.

Caius had remained hidden within Ryan’s hair all this time. Ryan had specifically asked him not to help him, if his life was not in danger. It was because of this that these Elemental Beasts had the guts to make a move on Ryan.

Ryan soon reached the mountainous region. The Baleful aura that shrouded the mountainous region had become much thicker than before. It was clear that it wouldn’t be long b
efore Tondenth could condense a large number of Celestial runes. This fact elated Ryan. He found himself a small cave in the outer area of the mountainous region, as he didn’t wish to disturb Tondenth, who was in its inner region, in any manner. He sat in a meditative position inside the cave and took out his Mental-message transmission orb and contacted his mother.

“Mother, it’s me,” Ryan said the moment his Mental-message transmission orb connected to hers.

“How is your training going? Were you able to break-through the bottleneck in your comprehension of Sword-intent?” Emilia immediately asked in a concerned manner.

“The training is going well, and I have a feeling that I will achieve a breakthrough in Sword-intent soon,” Ryan lied without blinking an eye. He couldn’t tell his mother or anyone else about Devil’s Enlightenment.

“Good. Once you are done with training inform me and I’ll come pick you up,” Emilia said in a gentle tone.

“OK,” Ryan said and then he and Emilia talked for a few more minutes before they ended their conversation.

Ryan then started to purify the Death Elemental Energy of his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core on the black side of his Soul World in order to advance it to Late Mortal Lord Realm.

A Teleportation portal opened near the valley in Green Highlands where Isa was cultivating. Rashmi’s expression underwent a little change when she saw the number of Barriers that had been erected around the valley. She knew that it would be impossible for her to destroy all those barriers. They were the trademark barriers of different Demon factions, so their strength can be imagined.

“Mother, I can feel that demon as well as a number of other creatures within this valley. Its power has gone up again,” Noah said excitedly, as he felt the sensation of closeness with Isa.

“Can you communicate with it?” Rashmi asked as she knew that she lacked the strength to bypass all the barriers and she was unable to sense Isa or anything within the valley – which made it impossible for her contact Isa via Mental-message transmission.

“I will try,” Noah replied as he sent a Mental-message transmission to Isa. He got no response as Isa was still in a deep Cultivation state though he’d already advanced successfully to Celestial Realm.

Noah didn’t feel disheartened and continued to send Mental-message transmissions. He could tell that Isa was in a deep Cultivation state. He didn’t wish to disturb Isa, but he knew that if didn’t, Liam would certainly die.

  “Senior, I need your help!”

  “Senior, please help!”

“Senior, the Demon race on Grandura is in danger!”

Noah sent Mental-message transmissions one after other to Isa at fixed intervals and it took him an entire day to finally wake Isa from his deep Cultivation state.

Isa opened his eyes with an annoyed expression. Even though he’d already successfully advanced to Celestial Realm, his body was still undergoing rapid changes and he could still feel his strength and powers rising at a very rapid pace with each passing moment.

Isa’s annoyed expression changed to one of shock when he saw the number of Barriers that currently sealed the valley.

“Senior, please help,” Noah sent another Mental-message transmission to Isa.

Isa looked in the direction of Noah and Rashmi. His piercing blood-red eyes saw through the multiple barriers, following which he had another shocked expression before he regained his calm.

“What exactly happened has here?” Isa couldn’t help but ask his Undead creatures.

The Undead creatures quickly informed him about everything that had happened while he was in his deep Cultivation state. Isa couldn’t help but nod his head in understanding. The Undead creatures told him that his Baleful aura had caused an uproar outside the valley following which it had been sealed by a number of Demon factions with multiple barriers.

All the Undead creatures turned into beads. The beads then joined together to form multiple necklaces which flew onto his neck at a single flick of his hand. Just as he was about go and meet Noah and Rashmi, he decided to inform Ryan about his successful advance to Celestial Realm, though he was certain that Ryan would have already sensed it via the Soul link between them.

“Master, I have successfully advanced to Celestial Realm and have also gained insights in Heavenly Demon Laws,” Isa sent a Mental-message transmission to Ryan. He wanted to tell Ryan the joyous news about gaining insights in Heavenly Demon Laws at the earliest.

Ryan was stumped for a second when he heard this from Isa.

“Heavenly Demon Laws are actually a type of Heavenly Law in which only demons can gain insights. This will allow Isa’s strength to increase exponentially. He can use them to suppress other demons,” Yama’s voice rang in Ryan’s head.

“Keep up the good work,” Ryan’s said via Mental-message transmission in a jubilant manner. He’d been waiting for Isa to share the good news with him, though he’d already known it for quite some time. He hadn’t tried to contact Isa, as he had no intention of disturbing Isa while he was still in a deep Cultivation state. It was not odd for beings to remain in a deep Cultivation state even after advancing to next the sub-realm or Realm of the Martial Path.

“Thanks Master,” Isa said via Mental-message transmission happily, as he liked the fact that Ryan had praised him.

“But don’t do anything rash. The Grandura branch of the Calamity Sect now has members from its Main branch. We will deal with them via proxy,” Ryan warned via Mental-message transmission.

“Yes, Master,” Isa replied via Mental-message transmission in an obedient manner, as he knew that he stood no chance against members of the Main branch of Calamity Sect. The fact that Ryan was concerned about his well-being made him feel giddy deep down. Ryan and Isa then talked for some time before they ended their conversation.

Isa then started walking towards Rashmi and Noah to meet them. He felt overjoyed. It was unclear what exactly the reason was for that – whether it was Ryan’s praise and concern for him or because he was going to meet Rashmi and Noah.

Outside the valley, an excited expression appeared on Noah’s face.

“The Senior has awakened and is coming to meet us! We will finally be able to meet him!” Noah said in great excitement.

Rashmi took a Red orb out of her Spatial pouch at that moment. It was a Destruction bead, a Fire Attribute artifact that erupted into a terrifying explosion once it was activated. She had decided to blow up herself and Noah, if the Demon that walked out of the valley was trying to evolve into an Oblivion Demon.

Noah and Rashmi both had shocked expressions on their faces when they saw Isa walk out the valley. The reason for their shock was how he walked out of the valley. He didn’t destroy a single barrier but passed through them just like a ghost. The barriers were completely ineffective against Isa. Rashmi regained her calm quickly in comparison to Noah, as she knew that Demon Ghosts had an Innate Ability that allowed them to walk past barriers without trouble.

Isa gave Rashmi and Noah a smile, while they were flying high up in the sky. Rashmi held Noah firmly and didn’t respond to Isa’s smile, while Noah flashed him a big smile. Unlike Noah she was still not sure about Isa’s intentions. She still had doubts about whether Isa was a demon trying to evolve into an Oblivion Demon.

Isa appeared right in front of Rashmi and Noah the next moment and asked, “Who is your father?”

This question was directed at Rashmi. Rashmi and Noah were taken aback by Isa’s sudden high-speed movement.

“He was a bad guy who dumped my Grandma,” Noah said in an angry manner, as he was the first to recover from the shock. He could tell that Isa’s question was directed at Rashmi from his gaze. Noah had talked to Rashmi’s mother a few times via Mental-message transmission orb and knew of her past. Shelina, the Head maid, had told him about it too, after he’d pestered her for a few days straight.

Rashmi wanted to shut his mouth, but she was o
ne step too late. She had no idea why Isa would ask such a question out of the blue and especially in the current situation, so she didn’t want to answer it, unlike Noah, who already had complete faith that Isa was a good demon.

“Oh!” Isa said, as his expression turned solemn. Rashmi and Noah were a little taken aback on seeing this. Rashmi, at this moment, couldn’t relate Isa to the Oblivion Demon that had attacked Heavenly Demon City in any way at all. The Oblivion Demon was after Noah from the moment he’d attacked the city, whereas Isa had yet to even try to harm Noah, though he obviously had the capacity to do that. All this made Rashmi certain that Isa was not trying to evolve into an Oblivion Demon.

“Is Shalu alright?” Isa asked, while still maintaining a solemn expression.

“Why do you want to know about my mother?” Rashmi asked in a guarded manner, though at the same time, she was deeply shocked that Isa knew her mother’s name.

“Well … I am the bad guy that supposedly dumped your mother,” Isa said with a moving expression. Isa had realized that the moment he saw Rashmi and Noah, as he’d immediately felt a faint connection with them – which is something most demons feel with their children and descendants. The only reason he’d asked Rashmi about her father was to find out what stuff had been put into her head about him by members of the Demon Domain.

Rashmi and Noah looked at Isa agape, before confused expressions appeared on their faces. They were having a hard time believing him!

Isa could tell what was going on in Rashmi and Noah’s minds. He made his blood resonate with theirs by releasing a certain type of energy fluctuation from his body. This is called Blood resonance and it is used by demons to prove their blood relations with each other.

Rashmi and Noah felt a warmth surge through their entire bodies when Isa’s blood resonated with theirs and felt a surge in their strengths to some extent too. The sensation that Noah felt when he was in his room was same as this. Isa had not deliberately made his blood resonate with Noah’s. It had just happened by coincidence – and Noah’s extremely sharp and powerful senses had allowed him to pick up the blood resonance from far away too.
