“Yes, Grand Elder. If anyone amongst them dares to back-stab us or someone tries to use Soul-scan on them, they will die instantly,” Harsha said with full confidence. Leo nodded his head in satisfaction. He and the other six surviving members of the Main branch of the Calamity Sect started to plan out their future.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

A Teleportation portal opened at the outskirts of Nine Demon Forest. The portal had opened not far from where Nox and the rest were watching Liam fighting with everything he had to somehow drag out the battle for long enough.

Isa, Rashmi and Noah appeared out it. Noah was still in his mother’s arms. The explosions caused by the terrifying battle taking place between Liam and the Oblivion Demon immediately caught their attention.

  Boom!

  Boom!

  Boom!

Isa and Rashmi with Noah in her arms flew towards the spot where Nox and company had collected and were hovering in sky. They and especially Noah immediately attracted the attention of everyone present, including the leaders of the different Demon factions and their armies, but the eyes of Isa, Noah and Rashmi were fixed on the Purple flames and Red Baleful aura that were rampaging in the place where the Nine Demon Forest had once stood since eternity.

“Rashmi, what are you doing here with Noah?” Nox roared at the top of his voice as he approached Isa, Noah and Rashmi with the other higher-ups of the Twilight Demon Kingdom. The other higher-ups had poker faces, but anyone could tell their inner thoughts at that moment – they were all furious at Rashmi for bringing Noah near the battle field where the Oblivion Demon was freely rampaging at that moment.

“Hey, who are you to question her?” Isa asked he looked at Nox with a piercing glare. Nox felt a suffocating pressure restrict his entire body and was even unable to breathe properly. Everyone, including demons from other factions, were horrified to see such a drastic change in the situation as well as Isa’s terrifying strength. Nox was a Late Immortal Saint Realm being, so it was technically impossible for any being with similar Cultivation Level to restrict him by using just pressure.

“Father, he is my husband!” Rashmi said in an alarmed manner, the moment the other higher-ups of the Twilight Demon Kingdom were about to attack Isa to save Nox. They stopped the moment they heard Rashmi’s words.

Isa looked at Rashmi, who had a pleading look. He sighed as he released Nox from his pressure.

“Cough! Cough!” Nox coughed as he looked at Isa in a terrified manner, as he had experienced the terror of Isa first hand.

“She is not your slave. If I see you treat her unfairly then your Twilight Demon Kingdom’s Grandura branch won’t exist. Remember that,” Isa said as he glared at Nox and the other higher-ups of the Twilight Demon Kingdom. Nox wanted to retort but lacked the courage.

“Grandpa! Save Grandpa Liam! I can sense his life force decreasing at a rapid pace,” Noah said in an alarmed manner.

“I will have good talk with you once I am done dealing with that Oblivion Demon,” Isa said as he looked at Nox, who started sweating on hearing Isa’s words. He had no desire to have a good talk with Isa.

Isa then turned into a blur before disappearing from the spot without anyone being able to tell which direction he was heading in – which stunned everyone once more.

“Rashmi, where did you find your father?” Nox asked once Isa had left. He knew about the back story of Rashmi’s mother, as it had been one of the most sensational things of its time.

“He is the demon from Green Highlands that was sealed by Ancestor Liam and other factions,” Rashmi replied with a light smile, as she prepared herself for the barrage of questions that she would then face.

“What!!” Nox and rest of the demons exclaimed in unison. They all had shocked expressions which very soon turned into scared expressions.

“He is not a demon trying to evolve into an Oblivion Demon. He is able to release that terrifying Baleful aura after he gained insights in Heavenly Demon Laws,” Rashmi said in Isa’s defense, as she didn’t like the expressions she could see on the faces of Nox and the rest of the demons.

“What!!!!” Nox and rest of the demons again exclaimed in unison. This time they were even more shocked than before.

A demon that gains insights in Heavenly Demon Laws is of great importance to the entire Demon race. The faction that has such a demon within its rank will easily become an SSS Grade faction in the future. So, it was natural that they were shocked.

Soon they had horror-struck expressions on their faces again, as none of them felt good at that moment. They were unable to digest the fact that a Demon Ghost was able to gain insights in Heavenly Demon Laws. In their eyes, Isa was a mongrel that had done something unforgivable. If they’d had the strength, they would’ve tried their best to execute him. The Faction Heads of the different Demon factions with Main branches in the Divine Universe quickly reported this information regarding Isa to their Main branches.

One group of demons was sweating profusely at this moment. It was the group belonging to the Demon Domain and they couldn’t help but curse their luck.

“Quickly call Shalu and inform her about the entire matter. Ask her to come here in person, if things go south,” a demon around ten feet tall with a goat head and a muscular human-like body quickly said amongst the group. He was an Underworld Goat Demon.

Underworld Goat Demons are Death Fire Dual Attribute beings, that are known for their overbearing strength and their ability to wield axes. They also possess varying kinds of Innate Abilities which all increase their physical capabilities one way or another, thus turning them into terrifying enemies in close combat. The most fearsome thing about Underworld Goats is their exceptionally strong souls, which make them immune to soul attacks by beings with the same Cultivation Level as them.

The Underworld Goat Demon that was the current head of Demon Domain had nothing to do with what happened ten thousand years ago. He’d held no position of power at that time and the higher-ups of the Grandura branch of Demon Domain from that time had already ascended to the Divine Universe to become members of their Main branch. He had a feeling that Isa might vent his anger on Demon Domain, so their only shield was Shalu and her sons.

The other demons from the Demon Domain nodded their heads and one of them immediately contacted Shalu with his Mental-message transmission orb.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

“Look at yourself. You won’t last long in your current state. If you’d given that brat to me then things wouldn’t have reached this current state!” the Oblivion Demon said, panting in severe exhaustion. He’d been constantly exchanging blows with Liam and the Purple Fiery lizard for more than a whole day. He looked at them with extreme distaste. The number of souls that he’d had burn so he could fight Liam was astronomical – so it was natural that he hated Liam. He was not that worried though, as he could recover the souls that he’d burned by devouring Grandura’s entire Demon race.

Liam’s body had by this time started to breakdown, as it was entirely engulfed in Purple flames, but he was still looking at the Oblivion Demon in a focused manner. He had full confidence that he could still last for another few days, even though the Purple flames had started to eat away his flesh. This also made it impossible for the Oblivion Demon to devour Liam. If the Oblivion Demon were to try to devour Liam, it would first have to get rid of the Evil flame inside Liam, which was not something within its capabilities with its current Cultivation Level.

The expressions of Liam and the Oblivion Demon changed simultaneously when they sensed Noah near the outskirts of Nine Demon Forest.

“Why would Noah appear here at a time like this?” Liam thought to himself with frustration.

“That brat has come to me on his own!” the Oblivion Demon said with a hideous laugh as it flashed its sharp teeth.

Liam became a little agitated at that moment as he could tell what the Oblivion Demon was thinking. He decided t
o give his all and somehow take down the Oblivion Demon with him before the Oblivion Demon could reach Noah. The Purple flames around his body became even more fierce, as he had unleashed the full potential of his Evil flame. The Fiery lizard merged with his body following which the Fire aura released by Liam became manyfold more tyrannical. It burned away all the Red Baleful aura released by the Oblivion Demon and soon the entire Nine Demon Forest was covered in Purple flames. There was not even the slightest sign of the Oblivion Demon’s Blood-red Baleful aura.

The condition of Liam’s body started to deteriorate at a rapid pace too. One thing was clear: he wouldn’t last for more than a few minutes at the current pace at which the Purple flames were burning away his flesh.

Liam looked at the Oblivion Demon with an evil smile, as he charged at him looking akin to a meteor at that moment.

“Shit! You can still increase your combat prowess!” the Oblivion Demon roared as he started to flee in the opposite direction. His entire body was covered in extremely dense Baleful aura and red lightning. Given its power he had no intention of taking this attack from Liam head on. He could also tell that this was Liam’s final attack and he was certain that Liam would most likely die after it so, as long as he avoided it, then everything would go his way.

Liam started to chase after the fleeing Oblivion Demon and steadily decreased the distance between them. The Oblivion Demon had a horrified expression as he prepared for Liam’s attack by burning thousands of demon souls each minute in order to create a protective Baleful aura barrier around him, as well as increase the power of his Red Lightning armor. He was certain that he would be able to save his life even if Liam’s attack hit him, but to recover from the injuries he would have to burn millions of demon souls which he was not willing to do. That was the only reason he was trying to avoid Liam’s attack.

A strange thing happened at that moment. A red humanoid figure appeared out of nowhere and stood in front of Liam’s path. It was none other than Isa. The expressions of both Liam and the Oblivion Demon changed drastically, as neither had even sensed Isa before his sudden appearance.

Isa opened his mouth and breathed out a very dense Black fog at Liam. The Black fog immediately moved towards Liam at lightning speed and shrouded him, and within less than a second doused the Purple flames that had been covering him. Liam came to sudden halt and he saw with horror that the Evil flame within his body had been completely suppressed by the Black fog!

The Black fog was actually a Miasma. Isa’s Miasma had Death Elemental Laws and Heavenly Demon Laws fused in it which made it far more formidable than Liam’s Fire Elemental Laws fused in the Purple flames. It was thus natural for Liam’s Purple flames to be completely extinguished by Isa’s Miasma.

The Oblivion Demon had also come to a halt and looked at this scene in a stunned manner. He quickly regained his composure and started fleeing at his top speed while burning demon souls. After seeing Isa’s strength, he had completely forgotten about the preciousness of the demon souls. He knew that if Isa somehow caught him, he was as good as dead.

“Your body has become extremely weak, if possible remove that Evil flame from your body,” Isa said as he turned into a blur and disappeared from his spot without even waiting for Liam’s response. Liam was then left looking with a dazed expression at the spot where Isa had stood before he’d disappeared.

Isa appeared right in front of the escaping Oblivion Demon without the latter being able to sense him again. The Oblivion Demon was terrified at that moment. He tried to change his direction and flee in the opposite direction, but about ten red tentacles pierced through his body. They were entirely made up of Isa’s Baleful aura, Isa’s control of which had increased exponentially after stepping into Celestial Realm, so he was able to solidify his Baleful aura, unlike before.

“Just who are you?” the Oblivion Demon asked with great difficultly, as Isa’s Baleful aura had already started to destroy his body and soul. He knew he didn’t have a lot of time.

The Oblivion Demon got no response from Isa who just looked at him with a cruel expression. The Oblivion Demon sighed, as he knew that he would get no response from Isa.

At that moment he had conflicted feelings.

“What was the point of evolving into an Oblivion Demon?” the Oblivion Demon thought to himself as he remembered all those times when he’d devoured his fellow demons – which made tears well up in his eyes.

“Can you do me a favor?” the Oblivion Demon said, as he looked at Isa with teary eyes.

Isa didn’t reply and continued to maintain his cruel expression.

“I never wanted to evolve into an Oblivion Demon, but I had no choice in order to avenge the deaths of my family members,” the Oblivion Demon said as he started cry like a little kid. Isa felt a little pity for the Oblivion Demon but it didn’t show on his face.

“That bastard didn’t even spare my new born son,” the Oblivion Demon cried at the top of his voice, which was even audible to Nox and the rest of the Immortal Demons. They couldn’t help but have a change in their expressions too. It is forbidden amongst demons to cause family extermination. Since ancient times that has been one of the major reasons causing some demons to evolve into Oblivion Demons and betray the Demon race.

“Just kill the third prince of the previous generation of the Blazing Sun Fire Empire for me: that’s all I ask of you,” the Oblivion Demon said as his body turned lifeless. Isa’s Baleful aura had destroyed the soul as well all the organs of the Oblivion Demon, which had resulted in his death.

“I will make sure to kill him,” Isa said in a low voice as he retracted his Baleful aura. He then stored away the body of the Oblivion Demon, as the bones and skin of an Oblivion Demons are treasures and can be used to create powerful weapons and armors that can be upgraded with ease.

Isa turned into a blur and again disappeared from his spot– and next appeared next to Rashmi with a smile.

Liam was still standing in the same spot as before with a dazed expression. He felt a burning sensation within his body that was steadily becoming more and more painful. It was clear that the suppressing effect of Isa’s Miasma was starting to weaken.

Liam had a pained expression as he did a few hand signs and extracted a ball made up of Purple flames from his abdomen. That was the real form of his Evil flame.

“It’s time to part ways,” Liam said with a regretful expression on his face, as he threw the ball of Purple flame at the ground below him which was still burning with Purple flames. The ball of Purple flame immediately started to wildly absorb all the Purple flames covering the entire Nine Demon Forest, and started to create a new home for itself.

Liam looked at the scene in front of his eyes with a heavy expression. It was clear to him at that moment that his Evil flame had already gained sentience, which was something he’d known would happen sooner or later, as he hadn’t completely made is power his. He’d only borrowed it. It had come from Heavenly Fire Elemental, which had been executed for him by a Grand Elder of the Main branch of the Twilight Demon Kingdom. It had been given to Liam as a reward for a completing a certain important task for the Main branch of the Twilight Demon Kingdom flawlessly, while his Cultivation Level was still in the Immortal Realm.

The Evil flame had gained sentience and it wouldn’t be long before it gained a personality and power enough to ascend to the Divine Universe to be reborn as a Heavenly Fire Elemental. The Evil flame had started to transform the entire Nine Demon Forest into a Fire Attribute Treasure Land, which would be its home for the coming thousands of years as it slowly gained the strength to ascend to the Divine Universe to be reborn as a Heavenly Fire Elemental.

Liam flew towards the spot where Nox and the rest were assembled. He had a very heavy heart at that moment. He was certain that no one on Grandura would be able to tame that flame anymore and turn it into his or her strength, and beings from the Divine Universe wouldn’t be able to absorb it, as the Evil flame had that day become one of the Heav
enly Treasures of Grandura.

  Ch.10

“Where is the third prince of your previous generation?” Isa asked as he looked at the Emperor of the Blazing Sun Fire Demon Empire.

Every demon present had a respectful expression on his or her face as they all looked at Isa, but deep down in their hearts, a majority of them were cursing him for gaining insights in Heavenly Demon Laws. They didn’t like the fact that they had to be courteous towards him, but they didn’t dare to show that on their faces.

“The third prince of the previous generation ascended to the Divine Universe a million years ago,” the Emperor of the Blazing Sun Fire Demon Empire said with a terrified expression. The heads of the different demon factions that had bad relationships with the Blazing Sun Fire Demon Empire were overjoyed. They just hoped it would be for the best if Isa exterminated the entire Blazing Sun Fire Demon Empire.

“Tell him that I will come to reap his life when I ascend to the Divine Universe,” Isa said as he turned around to look at Liam who was approaching. The hopes of the Faction Heads of the different demon factions that had bad relationships with the Blazing Sun Fire Demon Empire were instantly crushed on hearing these words from Isa.

“Grandpa Liam,” Noah roared at the top of his voice as he flew towards Liam and gave him a bear hug, but he soon started crying loudly as he saw the injuries that Liam had sustained.

“It’s OK. Stop crying. I am not dead yet,” Liam said as he gently patted Noah. He couldn’t help but feel warmth surge in his heart at that moment. Noah calmed down after a few minutes and returned to Rashmi’s side, when Liam asked him. He was looking intently at Isa.

“You made a good decision by throwing away that Evil flame,” Isa said with a smile.

“Thank you for saving my life. May I know your name and to which faction you belong?” Liam said as he gave Isa a gentle bow. He was not at all bothered that Isa was a Demon Ghost. He was certain that Isa had been sent by the Main branch of one of the demon factions of Grandura.
