The Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord was initially stunned when he entered Ryan’s cave and saw him for the first time, as he’d never expected a human to be the cause of his transformation into a Fire fiend. He wasn’t a fool, so he could tell that this young boy in front of him most likely possessed a Heretical Fire Devil Martial Spirit.

The stunned expression on the face of the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord soon changed to one of anger. Ryan couldn’t help but frown, as something had been bugging him, since the Underworld Fenrir had transformed into a Fire fiend. He’d been trying to get rid of Ryan’s control over him.

“I don’t feel safe in his presence. I have the feeling that if he’s given time, he will escape my control,” Ryan said in an unsettled manner to his Martial Spirits.

“You aren’t wrong,” Yama said with a smile on his face.

“Can you be a little bit more detailed?” Ryan asked, as he had a very bad feeling at this moment: he was certain that what Yama was going to say wouldn’t be good at all.

“Heretical Fire Devils never transform a being with an Original-grade bloodline into a Fire fiend, as they are unable to keep it under check for long. A Fire fiend that is able to escape the control of its Master has to kill its Master and drink his blood so it can gain complete freedom – otherwise its Master is able to suppress it and even knows its precise location after its freed itself from its Master’s control. The Fire fiend can’t revert to its old self, but evolves into a Cursed Fire Devil, which is many times more powerful than a Heretical Fire Devil. A Cursed Fire Devil can contend with an Asura in terms bodily toughness and strength. The other Innate abilities possessed by it aren’t weak either,” Yama explained. Ryan suddenly had a tingling sensation at the end of his spine, as he looked at the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord looking at him with extreme anger.

Ryan was extremely happy that this Underworld Fenrir was the only being with an Original-grade bloodline that he’d transformed into a Fire fiend. Initially he’d avoided transforming the Underworld Fenrir into a Fire fiend after seeing its combat prowess and strength, but he’d done it at Yama’s suggestion. He’d had to sacrifice tens of thousands of Fire fiends to infect it with Fire-fiend Energy.

Yama had also asked him to avoid hurting the Fenrir’s pack members at all costs, which had resulted in even more Fire fiend deaths. He was only able to understand Yama’s intentions later, when Yama told Ryan of his plans for the Underworld Fenrir Fire fiend. Ryan liked Yama’s plan, following which he made the Underworld Fenrir Fire fiend hide in Starlight Forest, so that it could evolve into a Fire-fiend Lord in safety.

“Everything will be OK after you transform him into your Evil Fire Spirit. He will also forgive you for transforming him into a Fire fiend given how terrifying he will become after becoming an Evil Fire Spirit,” Yama said with a consoling laugh as he could tell the current state of Ryan’s mind. Ryan couldn’t help but sigh with relief when he heard all that from Yama.

“I will then quickly turn him into my Evil Fire Spirit,” Ryan said with a determined expression as he looked at the Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord.

“You will thank me for giving you a heaven-defying opportunity soon,” Ryan said to the Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord with a gentle smile, but the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord had no change in his expression.

“What flame should I use to create my third Evil Fire Spirit?” Ryan asked Yama and Earl as he was intrigued by his choices.

“I would suggest not using the Sky-devouring flame,” Earl said in a severe tone.

  “Why?” Ryan asked in confusion.

“The Sky-devouring flame will continue to strengthen as you absorb more and more Evil fires or Heavenly flames and allow me to devour them. The Evil Fire Spirit that you create using it would also receive a tremendous boost in its capabilities each time. It would be best to use it to turn an extremely tyrannical existence into your Evil Fire Spirit – it would be wasted on this Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord,” Earl explained intensely.

“I also have similar thoughts,” Yama said with a smile.

“OK,” Ryan said as he nodded his head. He also felt that there would be many existences in the Divine Universe, that would be more terrifying than the Fenrir by a lot, so the Sky-devouring flame should be left for such an existence.

Ryan made the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord come near where he was seated and immediately started creating runes entirely out of Undead flames using the Evil Fire Spirit Martial Skill. The completed runes then fused with the body of the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord, which suddenly had a fearful expression, as he remembered the times when he’d been used as an experimental subject. He tried his best to resist, but one after the other runes came flying his way and fused with his body. This went on until all ten different types of runes of the Evil Fire Spirit had fused with his body.

Ryan then bit the tip of his forefinger and made a few drops of his blood fly towards the body of the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord. It’s body was engulfed in Undead flames the moment Ryan’s blood touched his body. On seeing this, Ryan smiled. The Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord instantly lost consciousness and fell to the ground. Ryan wrapped him in his Spirit Power and moved him a little distance away from himself.

Now all Ryan had to do was wait for the process to finish. He then started cultivating Fire Elemental Laws to recover the Spirit Power, that he’d used to create the runes, from his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core in the white side of his Soul World.

The intensity with which the Undead flame burned the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord increased exponentially with each passing second: his entire biology was changing rapidly. The red streaks on his body turned blue and, every now and then, Undead flame would erupt out of them.

After a few hours, a rune flew out of the blazing body. It was condensed entirely out of Undead flames and looked like a combination of the ten runes that Ryan had formerly fused with the Fire-fiend Lord’s body and was pentagonal in shape, just like previous two times when he had created Enkil and Lachesis.

The rune flew straight towards Ryan at high speed. He’d already stopped cultivating when he sensed the rune’s creation, as he had been paying close attention to the entire process while recovering his Spirit Power. He didn’t dodge it but let it strike his right forearm. The shirt he was wearing was immediately burnt into nothingness, and the rune fused with his forearm within a few seconds forming a pitch-black pentagonal tattoo and covering it entirely.

The pentagonal tattoo’s shape started to change after some time, and finally transformed into the Vector tattoo of the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord. A smile appeared on Ryan’s face soon afterwards, as he could feel an extremely strong connection with the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord. This connection was far stronger than the one he’d previously had with it, while it was just a Fire-fiend Lord.

The Undead flame burning around the body of the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord subsided along with the formation of its Vector tattoo on Ryan’s forearm. The undead flames were now only burning on the blue streaks on its body. This signified that the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord had transformed successfully into an Evil Fire Spirit. The fact that it looked no different from before signified that he was a Primordial Inferno Undead Creature, just like Lachesis and Enkil. Just like them, he lacked presence too.

The Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit woke up soon afterwards and immediately stood up. He looked at Ryan with mixed feelings.

“I know that you have great grievances towards me, but if I had not turned you into a Fire fiend then you wouldn’t have been able to evolve into your current self. I did that all for your sake,” Ryan said in a righteous tone. This made the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord roll his eyes, as he could remember the way Ryan had taken him down before he was infected by Fire-fiend Energy.

“I am telling the truth!” Ryan protested. The Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit ignored Ryan and continued to look at him with
conflicted emotions. He really wanted to kill Ryan even though he knew that he would die soon after, as he could feel his life connected with Ryan’s – and at the same time he wanted to thank Ryan for transforming him into such a heaven-defying existence.

Ryan could but naturally tell what was going on in the mind of the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit.

“At that time, I made sure that none of your pack members got hurt even though they had ruthlessly killed thousands of my Fire fiends,” Ryan said sincerely.

Ryan did have a way of completely erasing the memories of the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit and turning him into a loyal puppet, but Ryan had no intention of doing that, as he had no significant enmity towards him. He wanted a friend, not some emotionless killing machine. That method had been used by Sheldon on his Evil Fire Spirit, so he’d decided to destroy the hate the Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit had for him.

The Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit couldn’t help but nod his head as he’d found that situation quite odd at the time, which made his hate for Ryan vanish instantly and he immediately believed what Ryan had previously told him.

“Do you have a name?” Ryan asked with a smile. He could already tell the state of Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit’s mind.

The Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit shook his head.

“How about ‘Amarok’?” Ryan asked with a smile. The Underworld Fenrir Fire-fiend Lord Evil Fire Spirit nodded his head.

“I am sure that your pack members will accept you with open arms given that you no longer emit the aura of a Fire fiend. You will be able to alter your aura, as well as your appearance, to the one you had while you were an Underworld Fenrir,” Ryan said with a smile which immediately made the eyes of Amarok moisten, as that would allow him to once again go back to his pack members. If Amarok had gone back while he was still a Fire fiend, his own pack members would have tried to kill him, but now, he had nothing to fear. He could just tell them that he’d been lucky enough to survive as previously his pack members had only seen him getting dragged away. They’d not seen him turning into a Fire fiend. Now that he had the ability to hide the blue streaks on his body as well as the Fire-fiend aura, he could return without fear.

Ryan genuinely felt a heartache when he saw Amarok’s reaction. Amarok could tell what was going on in Ryan’s mind, so he quickly sent him a Mental-message transmission thanking Ryan for turning him into an Evil Fire Spirit. He clearly understood what kind of existence he’d evolved into.

“Your words put my heart and mind at ease,” Ryan said with a smile as he sent Death Elemental Energy to Amarok via the connection between them. Amarok had a change of expression and looked at Ryan with shock.

“I can provide you with this kind of Death Elemental Energy limitlessly,” Ryan said with a smirk and Amarok could already understand the meaning behind Ryan’s words.

Amarok quickly told Ryan mentally that he would try to advance to the Celestial Realm at the earliest. Ryan was quite satisfied by his reply.

“Make sure that no one knows about it – including your pack members,” Ryan said sternly this time. Amarok wasn’t dumb and immediately agreed, as he knew the disaster it would bring on Ryan, if others came to know about this pure Death Elemental Energy.

“Amarok, you should now go and visit your pack and not let them grieve over your death unnecessarily any longer – but try to increase your strength quickly,” Ryan said as a smile appeared on his face once again. Amarok nodded his head as he turned into a blur before disappearing from the cave.

“I can relax now!” Ryan said with a happy expression, as he no longer had that uneasy feeling.

“Same here! You should quickly advance to Early Mortal Emperor Realm, though,” Yama said with a laugh.

“I want to see what kind of Innate Abilities you gain this time,” Earl said with a chirpy laugh.

“I’m curious too!” Ryan laughed, as he once again started to refine his skin with the intention of achieving Immortal Skin and advancing both his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores to the Early Mortal Emperor Realm.

  Ch.21

Time passed quickly and it was quite a few days since Ryan had created his third Evil Fire Spirit. During that time, one third of Ryan’s Fire fiends had died and the current rate at which they were dying had startled Ryan and his Martial Spirits. Six more Fire-fiend Lords had appeared due to large scale slaughter of Fire fiends, but they’d been quickly sealed off before they could do anything.

“Good thing that I transformed Amarok into an Evil Fire spirit,” Ryan said with a sigh. He could tell that the reinforcements from the Main branches of the different Grandura factions had something that allowed them to find Fire fiends, as many of his Fire fiends that hidden themselves well had been found and killed. Since Amarok wasn’t attacked, it could only mean that they’d failed to detect him, which was something Ryan was expecting seeing as he wasn’t a Fire-fiend Lord anymore.

Ryan wasn’t much bothered that the Red Calamity would come to end, as he’d already gained a lot by causing it on Grandura. He’d managed to severely affect the strength of all the factions that were part of the Star Alliance, so the chances of their attacking his family clans were next to nil. If by chance the reinforcements sent by the Main branches of those factions made a move on his family clans, he could have Isa create big trouble for them, given that he was at this moment the most important individual in Grandura’s Demon race. That was something that Ryan had taken into consideration before starting Red Calamity.

“Just ignore all this and concentrate on refining your skin,” Yama’s voice rang in Ryan’s mind.

“Yes,” Ryan agreed, as he once again started to refine his skin.

Ryan finally attained Immortal Skin a few days later.

  Boom!!!

  Boom!!!

Two small explosions occurred inside Ryan’s body. He’d achieved Immortal Skin so both his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores advanced to Early Mortal Emperor Realm. The purity of the Liquid Spirit in both his Soul Cores increased dramatically. A delighted expression appeared on Ryan’s face as he sensed the changes occurring in his body. The newly formed high-purity Liquid Spirit Power coursed through his body and in turn strengthened it.

Ryan could feel explosive power in every part of his body. He was certain that now he could easily deal with Early Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artists with extreme ease and even contend with Mid Mortal Sage Realm beings if he used Spirit Power. His bodily toughness had increased to a whole new level. Even Early Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists would be unable to injure him and Mid Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists would have a hard time harming him. The strength of his soul had also increased, so its strength was now equivalent to that of Early Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists. His Soul attacks might even threaten the lives of Early Mortal Saint Realm beings. The range of his Soul-sense had once again increased – to a range of three hundred fifty meters which was once again almost double the range of any Early Mortal Emperor Realm Martial Artist.

His Hell’s Fire flame, Devil’s flame, Sky-devouring flame and Undead flame had also strengthened dramatically. Now, Ryan could use Hell’s Fire flame and Devil’s flame to burn beings with Cultivation Levels of Early Sage Realm into nothingness without them being able to resist at all and the Undead flame could now be used to burn the souls of beings with similar Cultivation Levels without them being able to save themselves. Sky-devouring flame could be used by him to burn beings with Cultivation Levels of Early Mortal Saint Realm without them being able to resist.

Ryan continued to sit in a meditative position as he allowed his body to stabilize. That didn’t take long and the next second he was covered in Unholy black light. A smile appeared on his face in expectation of gaining new Innate Abilities – one each from Yama and Earl given that his understanding in Death Elemental Laws and Fire Elemental Laws had already reached the threshol
d requirements for advancing his Soul Cores to Mid Mortal Emperor Realm. Yama was covered in a similar Unholy black light inside Ryan’s Soul World as one of the seals on his body disappeared. Soon information regarding the new Innate Ability he’d gained from Yama appeared in Ryan’s mind and the Unholy black light covering him also disappeared.

Ryan started to analyze the Innate Ability quickly and he was shocked as he analyzed it more and more.

“Your luck is always quite good,” Yama said with a smile.

“I think so too!” Ryan said with a cheeky smile.

“The Innate Ability that you have gained from me is called Annihilation, but you won’t be able to use it until you reach the Immortal Realm and even in the Immortal Realm you won’t be able to display its true might,” Yama said with a teasing smile. The new Innate Ability that Ryan had gained would allow him make a Meteor Shower to annihilate his enemies.

“Given the speed at which I’m improving, it won’t take long for me to reach Immortal Realm,” Ryan said confidently.

“It will be the most powerful area of Effect attack in your arsenal, once you reach the Immortal Realm,” Earl said in triumph.

Ryan couldn’t help but nod his head in agreement, but he was once again covered in Unholy black light and Fiery red light. A smile appeared on his face as he was gaining an Innate Ability from Earl too. Earl was also covered in similar lights inside Ryan’s Soul World as one of the seals on his body disappeared. Soon information regarding the new Innate Ability from Earl appeared in Ryan’s mind and the lights covering him and Earl disappeared.

“Holy Shit!” Earl couldn’t help but exclaim, when he realized the Innate Ability Ryan had gained from him. Yama also had a stunned expression on his face – and Dargar wouldn’t have reacted differently had he not been in a deep Cultivation state at that moment.
