Time passed quickly while Ryan was busy refining his bones without a care in world since a little over one and a half months were left until the opening of the Ancient Legacy Land. He had no idea about the things that Kurt was doing on Vampire Isle. If he had known, he would definitely have spat a mouthful of blood in anger, as he’d specifically asked Kurt to stay low – but the latter had no such plans.

  Boom!!!

  Boom!!!

Two small explosions occurred inside Ryan’s body. He had achieved Immortal Bones and both his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores advanced to the Early Mortal Sage Realm. The purity of the Liquid Spirit in both his Soul Cores increased dramatically. A delighted expression appeared on his face as he sensed the changes occurring in his body. The newly formed high-purity Liquid Spirit Power coursed through his body and strengthened it.

Ryan could feel explosive power in each part of his body as he did every time. He was certain that now he could easily deal with Early Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists with extreme ease just using his bodily strength and even contend with Mid Mortal Saint Realm beings if he used Spirit Power. His bodily toughness had increased to a whole new level where even Early Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists would be unable to injure him and Mid Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists would have a hard time harming him. The strength of his soul had also increased, so now its strength was equivalent to that of Early Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists. His Soul attacks might even threaten the lives of Early Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists. The range of his Soul-sense had once again increased. It now had a range of five hundred eighty meters which was once again almost double the range of any Early Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artist.

His Hell’s Fire flame, Devil’s flame, Sky-devouring flame and Undead flame had also strengthened dramatically. Now, Ryan could use Hell’s Fire flame and Devil’s flame to burn beings with Cultivation Levels of Early Mortal Saint Realm into nothingness without them being able to resist at all. Undead flame could now be used to burn the souls of beings of similar Cultivation Levels, without them being able to save themselves. Sky-devouring flame could be used to burn beings with a Cultivation Level of Early Immortal Elite Realm without them being able to resist.

The condition of Ryan’s body soon stabilized, following which he was covered in Unholy black light. This made the smile on his face even bigger. Yama was also covered in a similar Unholy black light inside Ryan’s Soul World and one of the seals on his body disappeared following which the information about the new Innate Ability gained by Ryan appeared in his mind. The Unholy light covering Ryan’s body became brighter as two new pairs of arms grew out of Ryan’s underarms, ripping his shirt in the process. He had six arms just like a real Asura!

“Holy shit!!” Ryan couldn’t help but curse at such a development. He was totally not expecting something like that. The reactions of Earl and Dargar were no different.

“This will allow you to fight like a real Asura,” Yama said in a joking manner. Ryan, Earl and Dargar couldn’t help but agree with him.

Ryan didn’t find his new arms any different from his old ones. It was as if he’d been born with them – they felt extremely natural. He retracted the new arms back into his body with a single thought, which made a smile appear on his face. If not for the possibility of retracting them back into his body, he would have gone insane in anger and frustration as he would have been unable to return home. The growing of extra hands or legs wasn’t an impossibility for Martial Artists, but it requires a lot of time because of which only Immortal Realm Martial Artists had them. Everyone would have looked at Ryan with a questioning gaze back home if he were to suddenly appear in front of them with four extra arms.

“Try to get used to using the new arms for fighting,” Yama said encouragingly. Ryan nodded his head but was shrouded in Unholy black light and Fiery red light which made a smile appear on his face again. Earl was also shrouded in similar lights and one of the seals on his body disappeared and information about the Innate Ability that Ryan had gained from him appeared in his mind.

“This Innate Ability is going to be of a lot use to me,” Ryan said as his lips curled upwards.

“This is Innate Ability is called Devil curse and a number of devil species possess it,” Earl said in an exalted manner. Devil curse is trademark Innate Ability of the Devil race. It is a type of Soul attack that makes the victim berserk temporarily, but if used properly it can do lasting damage. There is a well-known story on Grandura in which a devil used Devil curse to make a Martial Artist kill his entire family with his own hands because of previous enmity between them. The Martial Artist killed himself after coming to his senses.

Ryan talked with his Martial Spirits for some time before he started preparing his mind to refine his muscles. A Martial Artist needs to refine his muscles in the Mortal Sage Realm. Refining muscles is quite like refining skin and bones. A Martial Artist needs to repeatedly temper his or her muscles using Spirit Power to strengthen them. There are three stages in Muscle refinement just as for bones and skin. The first stage is called High Mortal Muscles. After attaining this stage, the Martial Artist’s Soul Core advances to the Mid Mortal Sage Realm. The second stage is called Pseudo Immortal Muscles. After attaining this stage, the Martial Artist’s Soul Core advances to Late Mortal Sage Realm. The third is called Immortal Muscles. After attaining this stage, the Martial Artist’s Soul Core advances to the Early Mortal Saint Realm.

Martial Artists that possess more than one Soul Core only have to refine their muscles once, just like their skin and bones. All their Soul Cores advance to higher sub-realms of the Mortal Sage Realm after they attain the first two stages of Muscle refinement, and Early Mortal Saint Realm after attaining the third stage of Muscle refinement. The only condition is that they possess sufficient insights in the Elemental Laws of the attributes of their other Soul Cores and that their understanding in them has reached the threshold required for that sub-realm.

Ryan soon started to refine his muscles without a care for anything in the world. He had no idea that one of his plans to deal with Ishan and company had already started to materialize in the Divine Universe.

A large group of young demons of the Royal Demon Family Clan were currently standing in a huge Teleportation circle. They were to leave for Grandura at any minute. The higher-ups of the Royal Demon Family Clan were looking at them with satisfied smiles and were in a jubilant mood as they’d gotten an opportunity to assist a Lord Asura Envoy in a task for a certain Lord Asura. This opportunity would allow them to have some sort of connection with a Lord Asura. Asuras are solitary beings that rarely come into contact with other beings unless they are causing a massacre or destroying a Divine World. They keep to themselves most of the time.

“Remember that failure isn’t an option,” a Black Ice Demon said in an imposing manner. The aura released by this Black Ice Demon was extremely terrifying. All the other demons nodded their heads, as he was the head of the Royal Demon Family Clan – and was also Rani’s father. His name was Regin.

“Yes, Head,” the young demons said in unison as they looked at the Head of the Royal Demon Family Clan with a worshipful gaze. A satisfied smile appeared on Regin’s face following which he flicked his hand and the Teleportation portal was immediately activated and the young demons standing on it instantly vanished.

“Head, I think we should take other precautions. That bastard Anubis will take us out first if he gets that Asura Bone sword, because of that incident from ten million years ago,” one demon said in a concerned manner. He was a Draco Demon and the other higher-ups of the Royal Demon Family Clan shared his concern.

Draco Demons look quite like humanoid chameleons. Their entire bodies are covered in green scales. They are Poison Attribute Demons that have Innate abilities that allow them to erase their presence and blend into their surrounding
s. The poisons produced by them are also quite dangerous for beings with Cultivation Levels higher than them by a sub-realm or two. They make excellent assassins.

The Silver Oak Sect and the Royal Demon Family Clan had enmity between them because of a Heavenly Treasure, which had been extremely heaven-defying and its birth had caused quite a big uproar in the Divine Universe. Many powerful factions of the Divine Universe had sent their forces to get it. A big fight had broken out, but in the end the Silver Oak Sect had been able to secure it after quite a lot of sacrifice. At that time Regin launched a sneak attack and destroyed the Heavenly Treasure, which resulted in colossal enmity between the Silver Oak Sect and the Royal Demon Family Clan.

“Do you actually think that the Lord Asura Envoy would let that happen? He will definitely make some arrangements to ensure that the Asura Bone sword doesn’t fall into Anubis’s hands,” Manju said with a dismissive smile.

All the higher-ups of the Royal Demon Family Clan immediately calmed down and smiles appeared on their faces. Asuras were tantamount to faith and confidence for the Demon race and their Envoys had status just second to them. It was natural that they would react that way.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

It had already quite a few days since Kurt had come to Vampire Isle. Some vampires had already completed their evolution, and many of them had been scared out of their wits when they’d completely transformed into bat-like creatures. Kurt had transformed all of them into Lesser Ancestral Vampires. It didn’t take long for the vampires to come to terms with their new identities, when they analyzed the Innate Abilities that they’d gained after their evolution. Some of the Lesser Ancestral Vampires reverted to their old looks before quickly flying towards the Vampire Queen’s Palace. They felt as if a god-like entity was waiting for them over there. The Vampire Queen and the other higher-ups of Vampire Isle were no different.

The Lesser Ancestral Vampires who’d undergone evolution in the Palace itself were the first ones to reach the Throne Room after their evolution had finished. They saw an extremely handsome guy sitting on the throne, which but naturally was Kurt, but they didn’t say anything as Kurt was in a deep Cultivation state.

The Vampire Queen and the other higher-ups of Vampire Isle soon reached the Throne Room. They felt like bowing towards Kurt and worshiping him. They quickly had the Throne Room sealed and made the countless Lesser Ancestral Vampires that arrived at the Vampire Queen’s Palace wait outside the Palace until Kurt woke up from his deep Cultivation state. No one objected as the Vampire Queen and the other higher-ups of Vampire Isle were many times stronger than them. The entire area around the Vampire Queen’s Palace was filled to the brim with countless Lesser Ancestral Vampires.

Kurt woke up after a few more days. A smile appeared on his face as he spread out his Soul-sense to the maximum.

“This woman’s managing skills are quite high,” Kurt thought to himself. He liked the way the Vampire Queen had managed all the other Lesser Ancestral Vampires.

Kurt vanished from the Throne Room and appeared in front of the Vampire Queen and other higher-ups of Vampire Isle that were standing just outside.

The Vampire Queen and other Vampire higher-ups were somewhat stunned by Kurt’s sudden appearance. They quickly bowed in the front of him the moment they regained their senses.

“You can all rise,” Kurt said with a dignified smile. The Vampire Queen and the rest quickly got up and looked at Kurt in a respectful manner.

“What is your name?” Kurt asked as he looked at the Vampire Queen.

“My Lord, it’s Leena,” Leena replied in a respectful tone.

“You did a good job. I want you to handle the matters of Vampire Isle from now onwards,” Kurt said with a smile. He had no idea that the petite young woman in front of him had been the ruler of Vampire Isle before his arrival, though he was certain that she was some big shot even before his arrival given her high Cultivation Level.

“Yes, my Lord,” Leena said immediately as she nodded her head without any sign of anger.

“You guys will have to do your best in supporting her,” Kurt said as he looked at the other Vampire higher-ups.

“Yes, my Lord,” the Vampire higher-ups said with extreme respect.

“I should go and meet the rest of my followers,” Kurt said as he once again vanished and this time he appeared above the Palace. Leena and the other Vampire higher-ups soon appeared by his side.

All the Lesser Vampires immediately turned in Kurt’s direction and looked at him with great reverence.

“I am sure that many of you must be shocked by your sudden evolution but mark my words, you will thank me in future when you ascend to the Divine Universe,” Kurt said as he scanned the faces of all the Lesser Ancestral Vampires. He was speaking in a normal voice but his words were booming in the heads of all the Lesser Ancestral Vampires. They nodded their heads as they could themselves tell how much stronger they had become after evolving into Lesser Ancestral Vampires.

“I want things to continue as they were before my arrival,” Kurt said in a regal manner.

“My Lord, can’t we settle scores with the different factions of Grandura for forcing us to stay in the Undead Sea for such a long time,” a young man asked in an aggrieved manner. Many of the other Lesser Ancestral Vampires shared a similar thought. They were certain that with their new-found strength and powers it wouldn’t take long for them to annihilate a number of factions of different races before their Main branches could even react in any manner.

“Everything has a time and place. We first need to have a firm footing in the Divine Universe otherwise everything will be for naught,” Kurt replied in a dignified manner. He already had a rough understanding of the entire situation from the young man’s words. He knew that the emotions of all the Lesser Ancestral Vampires were volatile at that moment, so he couldn’t say no to their request as that might cause ill-feeling towards him.

Kurt might be able to control their bodies completely, but he was unable to control their thoughts. He knew from the memories that he’d inherited from the Greater Ancestral Vampire whose blood had allowed him to evolve into one, that if they developed ill feelings for him, they might even plot against him with other races to kill him as their lives weren’t connected to his.

Lesser Ancestral Vampires, or vampires of any other species, are unable to kill Greater Ancestral Vampires and have to depend on other races in order to get them killed. This has happened many times with Greater Ancestral Vampires. He could only postpone the matter of revenge for them by making a target that was extremely difficult to achieve in a short time-frame. It takes millions of years for a faction to be created in the Divine Universe and there was a high chance that after millions of years they might not even think about revenge anymore, as their priorities would be different in the Divine Universe.

All the Lesser Ancestral Vampires nodded their heads in agreement. They couldn’t help but think that Kurt was someone who looked at the wider picture.

“I will soon be deciding on our priorities. You will strictly adhere to them until I say so,” Kurt said in a stern manner.

“Yes, my Lord,” all the Lesser Ancestral Vampires said in unison at the tops of their voices, which made a smile creep to Kurt’s face.

“Let’s head back inside. We have a lot to things to think about,” Kurt said to Leena and the other vampire higher-ups as he vanished from his spot.

Leena and the other vampire higher-ups nodded their heads as they followed Kurt back into the Palace.

The Lesser Ancestral Vampires that had been standing outside the Palace also returned to their homes as there was nothing else to do there.

  --------------------------x--------------------------

Ryan, on the other hand, was burning Mortal Saint Realm beings, since he’d already attained High Mortal Muscles some time ago which had resulted in the advancement of both his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Cores to Mid Mortal Sage Realm.
He still had wraiths protecting him from the shadows just as he’d had previously.

Ryan was certain that now he could easily deal with Mid Mortal Saint Realm Martial Artists with extreme ease by just using his bodily strength and even contend with Late Mortal Saint Realm beings if he used Spirit Power. His bodily toughness had increased to a whole new level. Even Mid Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists would be unable to injure him and Late Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists would have a hard time harming him. The strength of his soul had also increased so it was equivalent to that of Mid Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists. His Soul attacks might even threaten the lives of Early Immortal Elite Realm Martial Artists. The range of his Soul-sense had once again increased, so it now had a range of six hundred fifty meters which was once again almost double the range of any Early Mortal Sage Realm Martial Artist.

His Hell’s Fire flame, Devil’s flame, Sky-devouring flame and Undead flame had also strengthened dramatically. Now, he could use Hell’s Fire flame and Devil’s flame to burn beings with Cultivation Levels of Mid Mortal Saint Realm into nothingness without them being able to resist at all, and the Undead flame could now be used to burn the souls of beings with similar Cultivation Levels without them being able to save themselves. The Sky-devouring flame could be used by Ryan to burn a being with a Cultivation Level of Mid Immortal Elite Realm without him or her being able to resist.

Ryan had decided to return to home after his insights and understanding in Fire Elemental Laws and Death Elemental Laws reached the threshold requirements for advancing his Soul Cores to the Mid Mortal Saint Realm. He still had to deal with the matter of informing the higher-ups of his family clans about Ishan and company and the Asura Bone sword. He had about a month’s time before the Ancient Legacy Land opened. He knew that given the time left, it wouldn’t be difficult for him to reach Early Mortal Saint Realm, but he would have to work hard. This only increased the pressure on him, so the speed at which he was burning Mortal Saint Realm beings drastically increased.
