Dear Diary, I Have A Mate Page 23

by Abbie Lynn

“TY IT'S REALLY HAPPENING!” I yelled from the living room. Carter, Audrey, and I were currently watching Sofia the First with Kaya, and Ty was in his office.

Ty was in a second later just as Kaya advanced toward the television.

  “Kaya!” I cheered.

She turned around and gave me a huge smile. She then advanced toward me and I held out my hand to her. She held out her little arms and made her way over to me.

She grabbed onto my hands, and I pulled her onto my lap.

“You did it baby!” I sobbed.

Ty then picked her up and through her in the air and caught her, making her smile and look at him through those long eyelashes of hers; she could win anyone's heart with just a glance.

“You did it angel,” he whispered, kissing her cheek.

She laughed and blew him a kiss back.

Carter walked over to her and held out his fist. She gave him a fist pump. Carter insisted we teach her the fist pump instead of the high five.

“Auntie Audrey is so proud of Kay Kay.” Audrey beamed at Kaya while walking over Ty and Kaya. She tickled Kaya's tummy.

She then pointed to Audrey's stomach, making her lift up her shirt to show Kaya where her cousin was.

  Audrey was three months pregnant!

They only have to wait another month to find out the gender. Carter proposed to Audrey the week before they found out about the baby. They are waiting for the baby to be born until their wedding.

Carter says he wants a boy but I think he secretly wants a girl. Of course, Audrey and I both want it to be a girl!

How cute would it be for Kaya to have girl cousin as her best friend?

It finally feels like everything is falling into place.

  Chapter 44

  Dear Diary,

Audrey and Carter are having a girl!

They are still deciding on the name.

Kaya is now one and a half and still hasn't spoken; I think even Ty is starting to worry.

  ~Aria

“How about Ava? That's cute,” I suggested.

  “Ava is cute,” Audrey agreed.

  “I like Taylor.” Carter pouted.

“You only want to name her Taylor so it can be Kay Kay and Tay Tay,” I pointed out.

  “It would be cute.”

  “He's too much,” Audrey mocked.

“Mmm,” Kaya insisted from Ty's lap, letting us know she wanted my attention.

“Mama,” I told her, looking at her.

“Ahh!” She pointed to the steps.

“You want to race?” Ty asked.

She clapped her hands, sliding off Ty's lap and to the stairs.

“One, two, three!” I called while Ty and her crawled up the stairs. It was pretty amusing to watch Ty slowly climb the stairs on his hands and knees just to let his daughter win.

“Winner!” he announced, making Kaya squeal.

“WIN!” She pronounced loud and clear.

“Did she just say win?” I nearly shouted.

  “Win,” she declared.

“Are you serious Kaya? That's your first word? You hang out with the boys too much.” I laughed, taking her out of Ty's arms.

She pointed to Audrey's belly so I sat her next to Audrey.

“Yes Kay, baby cousin is in here,” Audrey cooed, taking Kaya's hand and holding it to her stomach.

“Can you say baby, Kaya?” I asked her.

  She shook her head.

  “Win.” She laughed.

I tickled her making her squeal. I then lifted up her shirt and blew on her stomach, making her giggle. The doorbell rang and Carter shot up.

  “Pizza's here!” Carter announced.

He set the pizza on the table. I took one whiff of it and felt nauseous. I set Kaya on the couch and ran to the bathroom. I got there just in time before hurling into the toilet.

“Aria?” Ty asked, running to me and holding back my hair.

“What brought this on?” he asked.

“I don't know. One smell of that pizza and my nose just–,” I stopped short and we were both looking at each other the same way.

“You don't think I'm–,” I started to say.

“Pregnant?” He beamed. “Let's find out.”

We walked into the hospital room and the nurse, Sherry, brought up an ultrasound.

“Congratulations, baby number two is one month along.” She beamed.

I looked up at Ty who was beaming. I can't believe we were having another baby and Kaya's going to be a big sister!

  * * *

“Where are we going?” I asked for the millionth time.

I am already two months pregnant, and Kaya will be two in three months! She is talking so much now. It's amazing!

“Kaya has daddy lost his mind?” I asked her.

  “No mama.”

I know Ty is carrying her in one arm. His other hand is over my eyes.

“Okay, say it Kay Alee,” Ty prompted.

  “Surprise!” she yelled.

Ty took his hands away from my eyes, and we were standing in front of a little house. It was perfect!

  “Ty.”

“You know how my mom and dad live in a house other than the pack house?” he asked.

  “Yes.” I nodded.

“Yeah they live right behind those trees but this one is ours.” He beamed, gesturing to the adorable house.

  “Ours?” I questioned.

“Yeah the pack house is right there. I walked you around for a while so you'd be confused,” he mocked.

The pack house was literally forty steps away but our house had about four trees in front of it, just enough for our privacy but we would still be close to the pack.

  “I love it!” I squealed.

“Great because our bedroom and Kaya's wouldn't really work with our second chunker on the way.” Ty chuckled.

  “I love you.” I laughed.

“I love you too. Now let's move in!” he shouted. I laughed and took Kaya inside the house.

When Ty said let's move in he meant Kaya's stuff and our clothes. The house was already furnished.

It was the most amazing little place ever!

There was a living room with a kitchen off to the side, then the upstairs where there was the master bedroom and two other bedrooms. There was a bathroom attached to every bedroom! Then there was a basement with another bedroom and bathroom, a playroom and a family room.

  This house is perfect!

Ty had already had Kaya's room painted purple, and the baby's room remained white since we didn't know if it's a boy or girl yet.

After getting everything moved in I put Kaya down for her nap. We set up the monitors and then I sat on the couch in the living room with Ty.

“I love this house.” I smiled, kissing him. He pulled me onto his lap so I was straddling him.

“How's our chunker?” he asked, rubbing my stomach.

I laughed and then Ty's face changed.

  “What?” I asked.

“Audrey just went into labor,” he replied.

“What, oh my gosh.” I panicked.

  “It's okay.”

“No, they don't even have a name picked out yet.”

“Babe, trust me everything is okay.” Ty doesn't want me worked up because it's not good for the baby or me.

  I nodded.

“Here look what I brought.” He smiled, holding up Twilight.

“You're a dork.” I laughed, sliding off his lap so he could put it in.

All there's left to do is wait. I can't wait to see my niece. I'm sure she will be perfect.

  * * *

Ty and I walked into the room. I sat down next to Audrey and sat Kaya in my lap.

In Audrey's arm was a beautiful girl wrapped in a soft pink blanket.

  “She's perfect,” I gushed.

“Thanks, she has my brown eyes.”

  “Baby.” Kaya pointed.

“Kaya that's your cousin,” I whispered.

  “Cousin?” Kaya repeated.

/>   “Did you decide on a name?” I asked.

Audrey looked up at Carter, who was looking at Audrey and his daughter like they were the most important things in the world, and he gave her a nod.

“We decided to name her Tiana,” she started to say.

  “That's so cute,” I gushed.

“But her middle name Aria.” She smiled.

I sat there for a moment as it dawned on me.

  “Why?” I asked.

“Because you would kill us if it was Arrabella.” Carter joked.

I rolled my eyes at him.

“Because you helped me not be afraid to stand up for myself. Not be afraid of new things, like wolves. We would be blessed if Tiana is half as amazing as you are,” Audrey explained. A few tears escaped my eyes and I hugged Audrey.

“Thank you.” I smiled, putting my finger in Tiana's hand.

“Baby,” Kaya cooed, putting her hand on Tiana's stomach.

“That's your cousin, Tiana,” I told her.

  “TT.” Kaya smiled.

“TT Aria.” Audrey smiled down at the beautiful child. They are going to make great parents.

  * * *

Tomorrow is the day Ty and I find out our baby’s gender!

Tiana is already two months old and Kaya will be two next month.

“Baby,” Kaya sang, touching my tummy. We are in the living room in the pack house. Audrey is upstairs napping, and Ty is in the shower over at our house.

“Your brother or sister is in there Kay Kay,” I told her.

  “Tiana?”

“No, Tiana is Auntie Audrey's baby.”

“Tiana you're fine,” Carter cooed while changing her diaper. The girl hated getting her diaper changed.

“Carter quit traumatizing her!” I called.

  “Not helping!” he called back.

I laughed and set Kaya next to me on the couch. I turned on Little Einstein's and got up to get some food.

“Ar, please tell me Kaya walked over here by herself,” Ty groaned walking in the door.

“Okay. Kaya walked over here all by herself,” I mocked.

“I'm serious babe, you should be resting.”

“Ty please chill for a second.” I laughed.

He rolled his eyes, picking me up and putting me in a chair.

“Okay, now what do you want?” he asked.

“A salad please.” I yawned, placing my head in my hands.

“Mama!” I heard Kaya call followed by little footsteps running on the tiled floor.

I lifted my head up when I felt her little hands on my legs.

“Hi angel.” I smiled, lifting her onto my lap.

“Daddy.” She smiled when she saw him.

“There's my angel.” Ty smiled back.

“Where you go?” she asked, holding up her hands.

“I was in the shower baby,” he replied.

  “Shower?”

  “Yes, the shower.” He laughed.

“Daddy look!” She demanded, lifting my shirt up to show him my stomach.

“Well who's in there?” he asked her.

  “Baby.”

“A baby is right.” He nodded.

“Look!” She repeated, lifting her shirt up to show him her tummy.

  “What?” He chuckled.

“It's my belly button!” She shouted, pointing to it.

  “It sure is.” He smiled.

“Mommy got one.” She smiled, showing Ty mine.

“Daddy has one too,” he told her.

“What?” she asked, climbing on the counter.

He grabbed her and lifted up his shirt.

  “Belly button!” she squealed.

“It would seem so.” He laughed, tickling her stomach.

She laughed and pushed at his hands.

“Want to help me make mommy's salad?” he asked her.

  “Sure.” She shrugged.

I laughed at that too. You sure could tell they were father and daughter.

Kaya really started talking a lot last month; she realized it earned her more attention when she did. Now we can never get her to stop!

Tomorrow we find out if the baby is a boy or girl, and honestly, I will be ecstatic either way.

  Chapter 45

  Dear Diary,

Ty and I are all moved in!

Today we find out the gender of the baby!

Our room in the pack house is still the same except most of the clothes are gone. Plus, Kaya's room is almost completely empty.

I love our new house though, and all the space. We still spend a lot of our time at the pack house though!

  ~Aria

“Alright are you ready?” Sherry asked.

“Ready,” Kaya replied. She was on the floor coloring in her Scooby-Doo coloring book.

  “Yes.” I laughed.

“Okay well you've got an even bigger chunker here,” she started to say.

  “Of course.” I smiled.

The nurse stopped short and smiled hugely at the screen.

“It looks like you have the next alpha in there. It's a boy,” Sherry announced.

  “A boy.” I smiled.

Ty beamed at the monitor and then at me.

Tears fell from both of our eyes, and Ty kissed my head and rubbed my tummy. Right when Ty put his hand on my stomach our son started kicking.

“Kaya come feel your brother kick,” I told her. Kaya got up and climbed on the bed.

I placed her hand on my stomach and she grinned.

  “Brother.” She squealed.

  “That's right baby.” I laughed.

Our family just keeps getting better and better. Soon we will have two wonderful children.

  * * *

  “Carter.” Carter smirked.

“I'm not naming him Carter!” I laughed, throwing a pillow at Carter.

“Oh switch around Ty's name and have it be Dalton Tyson,” Audrey suggested.

“I don't want him having the same name as my dad. It's frowned upon in the alpha line.” Ty shrugged.

“What?” Audrey and I both asked.

“The boy should take the father's middle name.” Ty shrugged.

“Great so his middle name is Tyson. Now all we have to do is figure out the first name.” I laughed.

“Something strong yet cute.” Audrey nodded.

“Exactly!” I nearly shouted, but what?

Ty and Carter busted out laughing.

“Strong yet cute? You two are ridiculous!” Carter choked out.

“Ty it's not ridiculous.” I pouted.

“Of course not princess.” Ty soothed, sobering up.

He was trying not to upset me since my emotions were already all over the place.

I sighed. Why is naming a child so difficult?

“Forget it, we'll think of something eventually.” I sighed, walking upstairs.

We are in our own house. Audrey and Carter are over quite frequently.

I walked into Kaya's room and smiled when I saw her sitting up in her crib.

“Ma-mama!” She squealed, standing up and reaching her arms out to me.

“Well hi pretty girl!” I sang. “Guess who's here Kay Kay?” I asked her.

“Uncle Car and Auntie Audy?” She sang. She's so damn cute!

“You are correct angel.” I smiled, lifting her out of the crib.

  “I go?” she asked.

“Yes, we are going downstairs.” I laughed.

“Kaya will walk,” she told me.

“Okay baby.” I laughed, setting her down. She ran out of her room and down the stairs.

  “UNCLE CAR!”

“Kay Kay is that you?” Carter asked.

“It's Kay Kay!” she screamed, racing over to him.

He laughed and picked her up onto his lap.

  “Where's Daddy?” she asked.

“In the kitchen.” Carter told her.

  “With baby TT?” she asked.

“Yes, with Auntie Audrey and TT.”

  I s
miled at the two and then took a picture and went into the kitchen.

Ty was getting Kaya's sippy cup filled and Audrey was warming up a bottle for Tiana.

“Babe, sit down please.” Ty groaned, taking my hand and leading me out of the kitchen.

“I feel fine babe,” I sighed.

“Uncle Car, Little Mermaid,” Kaya demanded.

I laughed and sat down next to them.

Ty sat on the other side of me.

“Daddy!” Kaya smiled, climbing on my lap and reaching for the sippy cup.

“Here angel,” he replied, giving her the cup.

  “Thank you, Daddy!”

“You're welcome. Here sit with Dad so Mom and brother have enough room,” he told her, pulling her onto his lap.

She snuggled into him and he kissed her head.

Audrey came in with Tiana and a bottle and we all watched Little Mermaid.

I felt myself dozing off and let my head fall on Ty's shoulder.

The last thing I remember was Ariel waking up to Eric on the beach.

  * * *

“Wake up mama.” I heard Kaya demand.

“Sit on her legs Kay Alee.” I heard Ty prompt.

Then Kaya was sitting on my legs.

“Rawr!” I shouted, sitting up and tickling her.

  “Ahh!” She laughed.

Ty came over and helped Kaya off me and then helped me off the couch.

He then led me over to the table where he had made spaghetti and meatballs.

“Wow Ty this is amazing.” I smiled.

“It's nothing babe.” He laughed, pecking my lips. He then lifted Kaya onto her highchair and then sat next to me.

  “Daddy sunshine?” Kaya smiled.

“You want to show mama?” Ty chuckled.

She nodded her head crazily in excitement.

I looked at Ty in question.

“I've got sunshine,” he belted out. “On a cloudy day, when it's cold outside I've got the month of May, and I'll bet you say what can make me feel this way.” Ty sang and then pointed to Kaya.

  “My girl.” She laughed.

  “We're talking 'bout,” Ty sang.

  “My little girl,” Kaya sang.

  “My girl,” Ty added.

I laughed and clapped at the two.

“You two are crazy.” I laughed, reaching up and tickling Kaya in her highchair.

“I think you two should be in a father-daughter band.”
