Billionaire's Revenge: A Billionaire Romance (Tempting Billionaires Book 1) Page 4

by Claire Angel

I saw numerous unread messages from Brian, demanding for me to come see him, threatening me if I didn’t.

I walked out of the room, expecting Conner to be making breakfast. I forgot I live in the real world, and those fantasies weren’t for me. I searched for Conner and I saw that one of the room’s doors was open. I peeked inside to see him, lightly knocking on the door. And what I saw next made me swallow hard.

He was barely covered by the sheets. The edge of the sheets just covered his private part and I was able to see every ounce of his muscles. He looked like he could have been cast as Hercules. His lean physique was made even more attractive by his thick chest and rounded shoulders. His legs were defined, each part of him lying dormant as he moved around and instinctually flexed, revealing just how defined each inch of his body was. I closed my mouth, which I realized was open since my eyes had landed on him.

It was not a good idea to wake him up, so I sat on the couch in the hall. I went through the headlines on my mobile for some time. Conner was still sleeping, so I thought about preparing breakfast for him.

Yes, this is a good idea.

I didn’t have anything to do so I walked over to the kitchen and opened the fridge. He barely had anything in it. It was clear he traveled a lot. I decided I’d just order in, so I did.

Just as the door bell rung, I stopped scrolling through my messages and saw that Conner was up. He had put on the same pair of pants he was wearing last night, but evidently he forgot to wear any underwear. Maybe it was intentional.

He walked straight to the door and right before he could reach it, I ran from under him and grabbed the food. He was surprised that I had ordered breakfast. “Thought I’d just leave without thanking you for one of the most memorable birthdays of my life?”

He smiled as he said, “You don’t need to thank me,” and then he walked toward me, placing his hands around my hips and kissing my forehead.

“You’re welcome, Erika.” It made me tremble as I wasn’t expecting this. I didn’t know what this man was doing, but he was making me fall in love with him. He removed his hands from my hips and winked at me. I felt like he was enjoying making me nervous and blush.

I took a deep breath and asked, “Do you by any chance have an extra toothbrush?” I didn’t want to ask him, but since we were about to have breakfast, I didn’t want my breath to smell like last night.

“Yes, everything’s in the bathroom. There’s towels as well if you’d like to shower.” I smiled at him and went in for a shower, but first I hurriedly brushed my teeth, afraid of even speaking in front of him.

As I started brushing my teeth, I heard a knock.

“Do you mind if I brush my teeth?” I couldn’t say no, it was his bathroom after all.

  “Of course, come in.”

“Thanks,” Conner walked in and began to brush his teeth. He was trying not to look at me, I could tell.

“What are you waiting for?” he asked as I was waiting for him to finish.

I looked at him as I didn’t get his question and he just playfully smiled and looked at me from top to bottom. As he licked his lips, I could tell there were naughty things running through his mind.

Does he want me to have a bath in front of him?

I just stood there like an idiot, not knowing what should I do. After a few minutes, he finally finished and walked out of the bathroom, without even looking at me and finally I took a deep breath.

I took off my dress and placed it on the counter, so that I could keep it clean to put on again, but just as I entered the shower and turned the water on, he suddenly walked in, “Hey, sorry, just need to take my towel.” His mouth fell open when his eyes landed on me.

I almost jumped and failed to hide my naked body with my hands. He walked toward me and I tightly closed my eyes. I felt the towel around my body and I opened my eyes. As he was wrapping the towel around my body, he stared into my eyes. His green eyes were terribly beautiful, too difficult to resist. Suddenly his one hand grabbed my waist, pulling me closer to him and I could barely breath. His other hand moved slowly to my face making me gasp. I could smell the sexual tension around us and I didn’t even try to push him away.

“Erika! You are so beautiful,” he said as he kissed my right cheek. His lips felt so hot and soft against my skin. He cupped my face and my lips trembled as he stared at them. He moved closer and I could feel his hot breath on my lips. He pressed his lips onto mine. He gently kissed my lips, sucking on them one by one. His hands reached my waist and he pulled my lower body closer. I could feel his already hard member against my lower stomach. I wanted to wrap both my hands and mouth around him. I was sure he was large enough to accommodate every one of my desires. His tongue slowly entered in my mouth as I allowed it in. His tongue gently explored my mouth and he tasted amazing.

I didn’t even realize when my towel fell down as I was so lost in him. His hands touched my bare skin and it felt so good. He planted soft kisses on my neck, which gave me sensations down there.

He took one step back, and he was taking his time staring at me. I could feel his eyes on mine, and then making their way down, from my lips which were quivering because of the sexual tension, down to my hard, pink nipples. I felt him stop and stare at my breasts, as if he were taking in every bit of my 36C’s. I was confident with my body, but I had never been appreciated this way before.

He placed his hands on his waistband, unbuttoned his pants, and dropped them to the floor. I could see his dick starting to get thicker and larger. I closed my eyes. I felt shy staring at him and suddenly a voice entered in my ears, “Conner! Are you in there?” I heard Brian’s voice and so did Conner. He looked down at me with so much disappointment. We both knew we were about to have an amazing time. We were already sweating, just standing in each other’s arms.

“Yeah, I’m taking a shower. What do you want?” As Conner and Brian continued with their awkward conversation, I was worried Brian would’ve seen my purse, that he knew I was in the shower with Conner.

“I’ll be right out.” Conner looked at me. He planted a kiss on my forehead yet again, wrapped a towel around his waist and walked toward the door. With one hand he held on to the towel, but he placed the other on his mouth, signaling me to keep quiet, and smiled mischievously.

  Chapter 13

  Conner

“What do you want, Brian?” At this point I was genuinely irritated. I didn’t know why he thought it would be okay for him to just barge into my apartment and interrupt my morning.

“How’s it going with Erika?” I wondered why he didn’t bring up her name while I was in the shower with her.

Could he have known that I was with her?

“I’m sorry to disturb you, Conner. I know you have someone in there with you, but I really wanted to know.” I obviously couldn’t tell him that I was with Erika and that I had spent the night winning her over, but inadvertently losing myself to her.

“It’s fine. I’ve said I’ll handle it so I will. I’ll call you in a few hours.” I didn’t appreciate having my Saturday morning bombarded like this; moreover, I really didn’t appreciate Brian interrupting my shower. As I walked back toward the bathroom, I made sure to wait until Brian left before I walked in.

“Hey, sorry.” I looked at Erika who was still lathered up at this point, and she just slid the sliding door of the shower open again.

“It’s okay, everything alright?” Erika seemed like she was genuinely curious. I didn’t know whether she was afraid of what Brian would do if he knew she was with me, or if she was genuinely concerned.

“It’s all good, Erika.” I proceeded to get back into the shower, but it was clear Brian’s presence had shifted the mood to a less than comfortable one.

She was already wrapped in a robe around her. She went to pick up the dress she had been wearing.

I wondered if she knew how I lusted for her, how every curve on her body shined because of the moisture. I would have liked nothing more than to
have her against the door, wrapped around me, her lips pressed against my neck with her breath heavy because of me. I didn’t do anything, though.

“Leave it. I’ll have it dry cleaned. Grab something from my closet, if you’d like.” I gestured toward my closet, and after she nodded, I led her there.

She gasped as she walked in. It was large, I suppose, considering there wasn’t any room to stand in most New York apartments. She walked around, gazing at selections of white, black, and grey, until she found her way toward the corner of the room where she saw a few T-shirts I had lying around, from charity fundraisers and things like that. She popped right into a green one which had a massive Marijuana emblem on it. I think it was from some Marijuana legalization movement. As far as pants were concerned, I suppose she didn’t deem this necessary.

She just looked up at me and smiled. I could see the entire silhouette of her figure, that shirt was oversized but didn’t take away from her curves.

It tightened up around her chest and her hips but was baggy everywhere else. She pulled it down to her knees.

“It’s bigger than I thought it would be.” I supposed she was being crass, but I wasn’t sure whether she was talking about the shirt or something else.

“Erika, I have to go to work. Should I have someone take you home?” I would have loved to spend the day with her, just lazing around at home. But I had important meetings, and I always prioritized work.

“Yes, that would be great. I have to go to work as well.” I was surprised by that. It was Saturday and I was sure SunLit was closed on the weekends. Maybe she needed to continue working on her project.

“Alright, I’ll have a car come get you.” I dialed reception downstairs and told them to arrange a car to get Erika home.

“She said it would take ten minutes,” I told Erika.

“It’s fine.” She smiled as I walked over to get dressed and disrobed. I could tell Erika was still watching me. I began to put on an article at a time, until I was completely dressed. I pulled up my blazer and straightened my tie.

“You look great, Conner.” I knew I looked good, but it was nice coming from her.

“Thank you, Erika, you look beautiful.” She was so beautiful. She didn’t need any makeup or anything. If she tried anything, she would have looked even more beautiful than she did last night. Her hair was messy, and it was covering her entire face at this point. She kept pushing it to the side to look at me.

Just like that it was time to leave. I knew she was interested enough in me at this point, I could pursue the next part of the plan now.

We walked out of the building together and got into different cars, but right before we split our separate ways, she yelled out, “See you later?”

I wanted to say yes, I wanted to tell her I’d like to clear up my schedule for the entire week and spend it with her. I didn’t say a thing, though. I got into the car and left. I made a promise to Brian and I had to keep that. I was deviating from the plan, but I couldn’t be fooled. She was a gold digger and a liar, that’s what Brian had said.

After concluding my business for the day, I decided I’d go home and retire for the night. I kept on thinking about her until I fell asleep.

I wish she was not the same woman as Brain had told me.

  ***

  Fifteen days later…

I had been so busy for almost for two weeks. But I didn’t forget to message and call Erika every day. I really wanted her to fall for me so that I could take my revenge. I knew my brother was an asshole when it was about money, but he couldn’t lie about a person. So, I didn’t miss any chance to impress her, and I knew she was impressed on the very first day as I was.

If Brian had not told me about her, I would have thought that she was the most adorable woman in this world. We kept talking all night long, singing songs for each other, showering kisses. She was completely in love with me and I was close to getting my revenge.

But I couldn’t deny that these were the happiest days of my life…

I was sitting in my office thinking about Erika and stupidly smiling. I realized I had an important meeting with Erika and Tia about their project. I was the owner of their company now, and as such, their boss. I decided I’d take Lisa with me; Erika had never seen her and didn’t know much about her, other than that she was my assistant.

Right before we walked into the lobby of the offices, I looked at Lisa and told her, “I’d like if you acted as if we were sleeping together.” Before I met Erika, I would’ve preferred if we actually had been sleeping together, but after that one night, my mind couldn’t think of anyone else.

“Okay, sir. I hope it doesn’t come to bite you in the ass, Conner.” Just like that, Lisa had said something that proved to me that she wasn’t just a good employee, but a great friend as well. She was more worried about the consequences of my actions than I was.

“Erika and Tia, my office now.” Lisa and I walked in, and I sat down on my seat, waiting for them to come in.

Just as they reached the door and knocked, Lisa walked up behind me, put her hands on my shoulders, and said, “Come in.”

As soon as Erika walked in and saw Lisa possessively standing over me, her voice began to shudder. “Could we come in, Conn… sir?”

“Yes, please, come in.” I didn’t like seeing Erika like this, but she deserved it for all that she did to Brian.

Lisa walked toward the front of the desk, and Erika gazed at her. In my opinion, Erika was far more attractive than Lisa, but Lisa wasn’t unattractive by any means. I could see Erika watching Lisa. As she smiled, she saw Lisa’s full lips, her hazel eyes, her straight blonde hair shining because of the sunlight. She saw how Lisa was dressed prim and proper. She had a skirt and blouse on, revealing her curves, her perfect hourglass form.

“Erika, Tia, I just wanted to tell you that now Lisa will be handling this project.” I knew the project was almost complete and Erika had her promotion due. But if Lisa and Tia handled this project, all the credit would have been taken from Erika. I had already involved Tia in this project on the first day so that I could sideline Erika later.

“Erika, give her all the files and details. Tia, help Lisa in this throughout,” I said looking into Erika’s beautiful eyes, and it made my heart shrink. She handed the files to Lisa and asked if she could take a break.

  Chapter 14

  Erika

“Could I be excused, sir?” I hated that I had to ask him to leave. This job meant too much to me; otherwise, I would have just gotten up and left. I could feel my heart breaking as I looked at her. Lisa was perfect. I knew she was his assistant, but by the way she acted around him, the way he looked at her, it was clear that there was something between them.

I felt so stupid. I allowed myself to fall for a man just in a single night. I was in my own fantasies for these two weeks. But, I was an idiot and he was just a womanizer.

Why did I expect anything else? I mean, what kind of idiot thinks that Conner Roland, who was the most eligible bachelor in the continent, would fall for an ordinary girl like me?

I thanked god, that I didn’t end up fucking him that day, otherwise guilt would have killed me.

“Yes, you can.” As soon as Conner said it, I got up and walked out of the room. I tried to keep my composure, but I ran to the bathroom. I couldn’t stop myself from crying.

I looked at myself in the mirror as my face was red from all the crying. I was glad I didn’t wear any makeup.

“You’re a dumbass.” That’s all I could say to myself.

“Open the door right now, Erika.” I heard Tia’s voice, and I opened the door. She hugged me almost instantly. Her arms wrapped around me as she told me it was going to be okay.

“What did he do, Erika? What happened? I thought you guys had a fantastic night.” Tia was surprised why I felt like this. After all, it was just one night, no one should feel this attached after just one night.

“Didn’t you see him with her, his assistant I mean. I t
hought we had something between us. I know it was early, but I was falling for him.” I went on and on, trying to explain feelings I didn’t think Tia would even be able to relate to.

“It’s okay, hon, it’ll be okay.” She just consoled me, didn’t say a single word about Conner. She didn’t attempt to dismiss my feelings, she just held me until I could breathe properly.

“Tia, promise me you won’t do anything.” I could tell Tia wasn’t going to have any of this from Conner, that she was going to go confront him. I knew it might end up costing her a job she’d worked very hard to get.

She smiled almost as if she wanted to reassure me that it would be alright. “Hush, I just want to talk to him.” It was then that I realized Tia was an amazing friend. She didn’t care about the consequences she’d face as long as she looked after me.

“Tia, please. It’s not worth it.” I really wanted to know why he would do things like this. Could it have been because he was just like Brian? The thought of both of them being able to get away with doing whatever they wanted began to annoy me. My tears of sorrow turned to tears of anger.

Tia grabbed my arm just as I was about to storm out. “Compose yourself, Erika. No man is going to take away everything you have worked for. I’ll go talk to him.”

Tia cared so much for me; I couldn’t make sense of it. I just watched her walk out and walk straight into Conner’s office. I don’t know why he was still there, as if he wanted to watch the aftermath of what he had just done.

  Chapter 15

  Conner

“What kind of a man are you?”

“It’s none of your business. Please leave before…” As Lisa was about to finish her sentence, Tia just stared her right in the eyes, almost as if she would take her soul if she didn’t stay silent.

“Lisa, leave us, please.” I asked Lisa to leave because I didn’t want her to be present for this. I didn’t want her to see a side of me that she had not signed up for. As soon as Lisa exited the office, I knew she was going downstairs to light a cigarette.
